There is an obvious error in “Basic Properties”: Maximum magnification ratio: not 1:2, as it is written, but 2:1, as in the name of the lens ...

750 dollars and you can take pictures of fish at the aquarium. Tsіkavo, and stink also mayut the version of the periscope yak laov?
•Relative aperture: 1:13-1:40

alas, the diffraction limit of CPC matrices is reached much earlier: Canon 6D - at an aperture of about 10,5; for Canon 500D - with an aperture of about 7,5; Nikon D600 - with an aperture of about 10,1; and only Nikon D700 has it with an aperture of about 14,0 ... and it turns out that this lens is not suitable for macro photography?
It turns out that not so terrible dp as it is drawn. Or with ordinary macros they don’t shoot below f13?
depending on what format to print photos or on what monitor to watch photos - most monitors - 1,5 -2,0 MP - the phenomenon of diffraction will be noticeable if you start to enlarge images with the PC engine :-))) yes, macro is also shot with “normal” apertures - and the depth of field is as thin as a paper leaf :-)
Aperture 22 and all right with the flu. The price bothers me more. A 2:1 magnification is achieved with ordinary penny lenses with macro rings. But there you have to focus by moving the camera, which is very inconvenient. Well, the main disadvantage is that there is no distance to the object. It’s interesting that this lens can focus in macro mode and how they generally achieved a 2: 1 magnification with a focal length of 28mm at a distance of 48cm.
This lens is essentially an endoscope. It differs from a conventional lens in that an intermediate image is built in it several times, that is, one can say that this lens consists of several lenses connected in series. In the plane of intermediate images, there are usually field lenses, which help to combat vignetting and aberrations very effectively. Well, such a scheme allows just to achieve such unusual parameters.
I am not strong in all this, therefore it is not clear. If you connect two lenses, then the focusing distance turns out to be very small, the endoscope also looks back to back, and here it is 45 cm.
45cm from the matrix, not from the front lens.
Even from a matrix for such a scale, this is a lot.
No, I'm not good about Nikon D700. Signing and on F16. On the D3200, knowing on the F16 https://500px.com/photo/1012487800/babochka-polevaya-by-igorь-dmitriv i on D90
df \u16d 14 practically df \u3200d 16 ... on the DXNUMX with such df \uXNUMXd XNUMX - this is at what magnification to print a photo or view it on a monitor :-)
