Dark pancake on quasi sf)
Quasi is not quasi, but the fact that such glass is unlikely to resolve a 100 megapixel matrix is a fact.
I wouldn't put this pancake on my GFX 50R.
The point of third-party manual lenses for medium format lies in their uniqueness and creative approach to working with them. And what is unique and creative about the 40 / 5,6 lens?
From what I personally tried on Fuji, I really liked the picture that the Mitakon Speedmaster 85 / 1,2 and TTartisan 90 / 1,25 gave; Fuji has no similar glasses.
I put on Fuji and TTArtisan 11 / 2,8, circular fisheye: glass completely incomprehensible for a medium format.
I'm afraid that the lens under discussion will raise the same question: what is it for?
For $300 you can buy an AF-adapter and a Canon 40/2.8 STM, which covers the matrix in the GFX quite well.
And this can be applied as a free cover to the GFX 50R, perhaps.
No, I don't need a free cover for nothing.
A Canon EF 40 / 2,8 STM with an AF adapter is available.
