Hello, I choose a lens for nikon d80, in one price there are 18-70 nikkor and 18-105. I will rent a family, trips to the sea, walks around the city. Tell me which one is better to take.

    • Rodion

Probably 18-105 will be more interesting)

    • Pastor

I'm also more likely for 18-105. I have both, and despite the fact that 18-70 is lighter and in general even somewhere cutter than 18-105, I still take 18-105 more often because he has a stub and extra 35mm at the long end, which is more useful than aperture.

  • Igor

People glass nikor 80-200 f2.8 can't catch focus ... all the frames are crooked .. sharpness took over the eye the focus shifts to about 3-7 cm, but in the end, the focusing place is not ice ... what to do? To take to Moscow is not an option 1500 km ...

  • Natalie

I have a good tessar 2,8 / 50 zebra but his jump rope does not work. oil is visible on the petals and the focus ring goes very tight. I want to fix it but I don’t know who will contact

  • Oleg

    Hello! Allow the question!
Found on sale a lens - Vivitar 135 / 3.5, T2-mount Nikon-F, 12 petals, Japan, price 1700 rubles. Judging by the photos and the seller's assurances - everything is in order! Hence the question - will it come in handy in the "household" and vaasche ?!
Thanks in advance for any competent answer!
So far I have not found reviews in Russian, but I continue to search!

    • anonym

Well, he won’t be better. Jupiter 37A 37 can be taken cheaper.

      • zengarden

Good price for Vivitar. Jupiter-37 for that kind of money only if you can find the dead one dead.

    • anonym

I had Vivitar 135 / 2,8 (a bit lighter than your version), without enlightenment, nothing special, Jupiter 37 is more interesting

      • anonym

        My cost me 3 €

  • petya

Tell me which is better to buy for all cases of pancolar 50 1.8 ddr or smc pentax 50 1.4 or takumar 1.4?

    • Rodion

For everything - pentax, perhaps. For:
      Pancolar is only 1.8
Takumar is even worse than pancolar due to low light transmission and yellowness

  • Kostya

There is Nikon d3100; there is Nikon 50.18 to it; there is sigma 17-70 (s); do you think it is worth taking 50-100 sigma in addition?

    • Lynx

could be. unless of course they with this glass

      • Kostya

        Do it like this?)

    • Lynx

if 3100 for something more decent, change, of course.

      • Kostya

        At 5500?

  • Lynx

    Definitely !!!!

  • Vadim

    good day!
help with the choice, for shooting jewelry, between Nikon Nikkor AF 60 / 2.8D Micro and Nikon Nikkor 105 / 2.8 Micro (Non-D type)? carcass nikon d800. I’m interested in the differences in lenses, especially in the field of depth of field, will it be and on which lens will it be larger?
    Thank you!

  • photo shooter

People who use Canon 7 d Mark 2, pliz throw off a couple of raw jpegs or write reviews !!!!! Thank you !!!!!

  • zengarden

    Here is a lens for review ... http://goo.gl/IerHac :)

  • Kostya

Question to experts, what perspective do you see in using the d3100 with a sigma of 150-600 (not a sport)?

    • Lynx

      Dull.

    • Pastor

Autofocus on the d3100 is so-so. Yes, and ergonomics with such glass is very questionable. I would advise changing the carcass to something larger, with a better focus. d7000 or d300s from inexpensive are quite suitable. Ideally, d7200 or d500, well, or what ff. If high ISO and autofocus speed are useless, then the d3100 will do, I shot on a d3000 with a similar sigma of 150-500 and in general you can live. But, I repeat, with a carcass it will be more serious easier and more convenient.

      • Kostya

Simplicity is probably the second thing I would like to know what will be the quality of the pictures

        • Pastor

The quality will be quite good, given the right conditions. The glass came out quite good for sigma. And d3100 you have already studied, you probably know what the weaknesses of this camera are. It's just that at high ISO d3100 does not show itself in the best way, but at ISO 100-800 it will produce quite good frames. The problem is that with large focal lengths, you will have to set a short shutter speed. And a little light is not enough - you have to bully the ISO. Although, on the same d300s, the ISO workers are no better than those of the d3100, so there will be no gain in this regard. Noticeably better with working ISO for the latest nikon cameras, starting with d7100, including d3300. By the way, I also shot with my sigma on the d3300 - thanks to the working ISO 3200, it was easier to shoot than with older cameras, and the result was better.
And I also note that on most of these kinds of telezoom it is advisable not to use extreme positions. That is, the image quality will be better at focal length 500-550mm than 600mm. Judging by the tests, sigma is still the same.
By the way, I shoot 150-500 on my sigma without a tripod. Sigma puts good stubs on its super televisions, so there is no need for a tripod during the day or even in the evening. And it also greatly enhances the usability and carrying of the tripod foot. After 150-500, I am very sad about this foot, picking up other large televisions. And your sigma has a paw :)

          • Kostya

Thanks for the answer. So you do not agree with the answer of the nickname "lynx", that everything will be sad?

            • Pastor

If you have something to compare, it will be sad - I agree. If you haven't tried anything better, it will be quite good :) It's just that after advanced and top-end cameras, shooting with the initial ones is usually somewhat more difficult and inconvenient. And the result largely depends on the convenience and speed of work.

              • Kostya

And the fact that the 3100 is a crop camera? Maybe then it makes no sense to try with such a lens?

            • Pastor

So vice versa as for me. I don’t especially wear a sigma of 150-500 per fF, because on a crop 500m turn into 750mm on Nikon, which is very useful 500mm on ff.

              • Kostya

And can you show the pictures taken with this glass?

            • Pastor

Unfortunately no, a computer with photos 60km from the computer from which I go to joy :)

              • Kostya

I've read about the matrix here, won't it be on d3100, let's say “small” for such glass as sigma 150-600 (s)?

              • Oleg

It will not be small, but it will be a little narrow. But such lenses for this and buy, this is a super tele-photo-lens. Under a narrow range of tasks, namely shooting from far away. This is not an everyday lens. At the expense of a small matrix amused of course

            • Pastor

Will not be small. Rather, on the contrary, it will be better, because on the crop the focal lengths increase, which is useful for the telephoto. Often even the pros are removed with super televisions on the crop (if the light allows), and with the output of 7dm2 and d500, everything seems to indicate that glasses such as sigma 150-600 are made for these carcasses. The d3100 has a lower rate of fire, the body is simpler, and the matrix is the same size. So ceteris paribus and the result can be obtained the same. I read about one house, which, having 1dh and 5dm3 in its arsenal, shot birds mostly either on 1dm3 crop or 7d crop and all because of an increase in focal length. So the crop for superTV is not a hindrance.

              • Kostya

many thanks for the answer) I would say so-inspired))
                Thanks again)

    • Sergey

It will definitely be inconvenient to use: you will “bite” the lens. Unless you have special physical training. Unless you will only shoot from a tripod.

      • Kostya

Of course, the tripod will be with such a weight of glass

  • Max

Arkady, in reviews of lenses there is often a mention of a beautiful (or not so) picture. For me, as a layman, it’s not entirely clear what this is about. It would be great to read an article with examples of photos taken with different lenses under the same conditions and settings, where it would be indicated on the subtleties of the transfer of the picture.
    Thank you!

    • Lynx

it is in its purest form taste and familiarity.
Someone likes the “creamy” bokeh of modern Nikon's G-lenses, someone likes the “bounce” of old manuals, someone spits from “double halos”, someone considers “small ripples” artistic.
For example, I really like the drawing of Nikon's inexpensive 100 / 2,8E, but the same hundredth kaleinar seemed extremely boring and dull to me.
This is a matter of fashion and stages of development of the photographer himself.
      .....
It is unlikely that someone will make identical pictures from a couple of dozen lenses. As a rule, people have those objectives that “no ice” do not linger, and even two dozen will not be typed either.

  • Eugene

Gentlemen, help the poor beginner under-photographer. I am shooting jewelry for my own purposes at home. I have a tripod, D5100, light tube and 2 cold lights. The whale lens does not suit me very much because of its sharpness on small details. Quite by chance I learned about Soviet lenses and decided to try them in my business. As a result, he found at home 2 industrial 61 l / d, bought adapters, rings, rails, also found helios 81n. In total, I have two problems, shooting on helios is very far away and if the products are small, then there are not enough pixels and problems with sharpness, since it is not very clear how to tune. And with the industrial, the problem is that even without rings you need to come very close to the minimum sharpness. All my ideas are 3-5 cm in length and less. If suddenly there is an opportunity, then advise what kind of lens can be purchased for these purposes from the very Soviet ones. Unfortunately, there is no budget of $ 500 per modern macro lens.

    • KalekseyG

Industar-61LZ, Wave-9. Are two light sources enough for you?

      • Eugene

Well, for the whale it was normal, as now, I don’t know. I add expositions in lightroom or play with endurance.

    • Lynx

for a similar one, after a series of experiments, Nikon's 35 / 1,8G with a tightened diaphragm and a couple of puffs on a lightcube were enough for me.
      ……
but I’ll say right away that it was not filmed for serious processing, such as any clipping and other things there, just for the “handicraft shop”.

      • Eugene

This Nikon is expensive for me

        • Lynx

          5-6 thousand on the secondary.
and on the industrial - to close the diaphragm to 8-16 ... but then essno either with flashes or on a tripod and a timer for the release.

  • Maksim

HANIMEX Automatic Zoom MC 75-150. What a lens, I can’t find anything in nete. Maybe tell me how he is. I bought myself. Written Made in Japan.

    • Rodion

The usual zoom lens is of average quality.

  • Julius

Friends! Please advise an inexpensive, budget flash for a Nikon D80 camera with a 50 f / 1.8D lens for outdoor photo shoots

    • Pastor

Do you need automation? If not, then you can take Yugnuo in China for 2-3 thousand. If you need TTL, then I would advise you not to save and take a sb-700 native, albeit used.

    • Oleg

I strongly recommend looking towards Metz.
Awesome puffs with a humane price tag.

    • Alexandr_N

Look Triopo TTL works great! You can buy for 1500-1800 UAH. I use it myself, everything suits, plus it has a lot of different lotions

    • KalekseyG

Julius. Tips have already been thrown, but in the afternoon on the street with the D80 it would be super to use FP. There are no longer cheap Nikon family puffs.

  • Imrose

I don’t know so much Russian .. I have nikon d5000… I want to buy jupiter 21 m… Can I put this object with nikon or not? thanks

  • Ilya

    Hello Arkady! You somehow did a review on SIGMA MINI-WIDE II 1: 2.8 f = 28mm MULTI-COATED MACRO
    https://radojuva.com/2015/04/sigma-2-8-28-mm-ii/
Please tell me how can I contact Vitaly Skidan, who provided this lens for you to review?

  • Jury

Tell me, please, what are the nature of cheap flash for Nikon with support for short shutter speeds (FP mode). I’m looking at the SB-600, but I also want to consider cheaper analogues from third-party manufacturers (if any).

  • Alexander

Someone already bought the new YONGNUO YN 50 mm f / 1.8 AF for Nikon? http://ali.pub/2i8csa

  • Ashtray

Tell me, is it possible in Ukraine to qualitatively develop a slide film like Fuji Velvia in the S-6 process?

    • -

      process e-6

  • Igor

Good evening, you’ll already excuse me here with my question, but I’m a complete newbie at the age of 40 and I don’t have a camera down)) I decided I think I’ll buy something for myself!)) And reading your section, by the way, it’s very cool written and chewed for most of them at least once fotkal is not a smart phone))) but to us mere mortals many words are far from real!)) In short, immediately to the question of how you feel about the Nikon P900 camera with 83x zoom, but approach it not as a pro but as a philistine with a very plentiful knowledge base!) ))) I just really feel like pofotkat without bothering until there is nothing or you p advise all the same to try more than another type of camera.
And if it’s not difficult, advise a universal one with good characteristics!) Although the question sounds moronic.)
    Sincerely, Igor.

    • zengarden

Ashim Kongurbaev has a good overview of this camera: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8Ua-P2Rvpg

      • Valery A.

I looked at the review of Ashim, I realized that this is a wonderful telescope with a soap dish-back. But if you are not a spy, why do you need this for serious money? Not being original, I advise you to choose moderately used on the secondary (with mileage up to 40-50 thousand) a Nikon d40-60-3000 SLR with a whale lens (thousand rubles for 4-8), you can immediately shoot on the machine, gradually (with the help of this site, too) one or two years to study photography, more and more rejoicing at successful shots, then, if desired, you can go without big fin. losses for something already meaningfully chosen.

    • Yarkiya

We are normal with this camera, and you will get a lot of pleasure playing with such an incredible zoom. But still, despite the impressive size of this unit, it does not have what the class of cameras determines, this camera does not have a large matrix. And the physical size of the matrix (sensor) ultimately affects image quality. The matrix in P900 is the size of a fingernail on the little finger, which automatically determines it in the category of soap dishes. In other words, you get a smartphone with frantic zoom.

    • Sergey

From the characteristics of the camera:
      A 4.3-357 mm f / 2.8-6.5 lens with a 83x zoom range is the equivalent of 24-2000 mm on a 35 mm camera.

On EGFs greater than 500 mm, it is very difficult to get a clear picture when shooting handheld. A tripod, as I understand it, you do not plan to buy and carry with you.

The biggest drawback of the Nikon P900 for me was the shutter lag. At the wide end of the zoom, the shutter fires quickly enough, but when shooting in telephoto mode, the lag is a whopping 3/4 second.

      http://spp-photo.ru/2015/04/14/obzor-nikon-coolpix-p900/

Note the technique with a more modest zoom range. As the owner of a Panasonic DMC-FZ7 in the past with an EGF of 36 ... 432mm, I can advise you to pay attention to the technique with an EGF not wider than 24 ... 600mm. Well, and one more thing - do not chase megapixels: on a small matrix, the fewer there are, the better the picture will be.

    • Pastor

Personally, I, too, was the first digital camera to have super zoom from Nikon (p500), so I do not consider super zoom to be a waste of money. I got basic knowledge about the device of the camera and indulged with a huge increase. I realized that I almost never use zoom and calmed down. I bought a DSLR with focal lengths of only 18-55, and my zoo-faced brother was idle for six months. Clicking the moon and realizing that it does not change much, he sold the super zoom without regrets. The p900 has just a huge increase and may well make decent photos in good light. If the money spent on it is not the last, then you can safely take it.
However, looking at the price of the new p900 it becomes a little pity for the opportunities missed in the mirror and mirrorless world. After all, for example, for 35 thousand, you can buy a whole set of second-hand for a mirror system. For example, Canon 40d (7 thousand) + 10-18is (14 thousand) + 18-55is (2 thousand) + 55-250is (6 thousand) + 50 1,8 (4 thousand) and will remain on a tripod, flash drive and purse. But all this becomes clear with time, when you plunge into technical details, but for now you can take superzoom. Even now I understand that the quality of the frames on the p500 was so-so, nevertheless I really value some frames from it. In general, if there is a desire to take pictures, it is better to buy at least something than nothing.

    • Sergey

      Pay attention to this Panasonic:
      http://rozetka.com.ua/panasonic_lumix_dmc_fz300eek/p6552106/#tab=all
Although a small matrix, but only 12 megapixels, a reasonable run-up of focal, nice color rendering + support for the PAV format.

    • anonym

For such money, take a mirrorless mirror. You can even b / y. And you will be satisfied.

    • Lynx

budget, tasks, and resources for teaching everyone new?

    • Pastor

This is great! 105 mm and 1.4 are really cool! True, I'm afraid the price in Russian stores goes far beyond 100 thousand ... But the glass is interesting.

      • Pastor

Oh, and it costs 2200 in the USA ... Less than 150 will definitely not cost ... Expensive.

        • Jury

for such glass - a very adequate price, given that the Chinese sell 135 1,4, without autofocus, for 3k. Maybe Nikon will soon do 135 1,4 autofocus. I already thought about what to sell out of glass in order to buy one 105 1,4

          • Pastor

In principle, yes, 85 1.2l costs about the same, and this is an approximately equivalent replacement from Nikon. And yes, if 135 1.4 appears, I think it will shake 135 2l noticeably, because I doubt that Nikon will screw up with the picture and boke, and all other things being equal, the wide hole will not be superfluous. But then again, it is a pity that the price is too big. And it’s hard for me, as a zoom lover, to give the price of 70-200 2.8vr2 even for a very good fix :)

            • Jury

an amphibian will choke me too, but the glass is standing. I think we need to wait for the reviews, listen to the opinion of smart people, it's a pity that used options will not appear soon :). And whether 135 2L will shake is a big question. In Ukraine, on the secondary market, it costs 700-800 dollars, for that kind of money it simply has no competitors.

      • Lynx

        and why?

  • Jury

The new Nikkor 105 1,4 is very good glass for adequate money, 135 1,4 is next, I hope. The Chinese sell 135 1,4 for 3k usd, without autofocus, Nikon has a margin of cost. Well done, Nikon, pleased. I was already thinking about selling glasses to buy this lens - I really wanted to try it out. The dreams of many about the new 105 and 135 come true.

Good day. Tell me, please, what kind of version of the lens in the pictures? The owner writes that the Japanese autofocus fifty dollars. But there is no serial number near the front lens, as I saw on other similar lenses. And there is no letter D, although it is similar to the D version.
But most of all, is it going to work on the Nikon d3?

  • anonym

Good day! Please tell me if any of the ACD See PRO RAV editors opens Nikon files. Nikon D7100 camera. I like this editor very much. I installed version 6, and it only opens jpg.

    • Yarkiya

ACD See is more a viewer and organizer than an editor. Of course I’m most reluctant to charge, but using it as an editor is not an ice.
ACDSee Pro 5.3.168 Final accurately supports RAW.

      • anonym

What options would you recommend? My wishes are the Russified version, the ability to batch edit and convert. I have just started to learn the basics of photo processing and would like to start with a simpler one. Thank you for your answer.

        • Yarkiya

Wow buddy, this is a whole topic. Everyone has their own tastes and preferences, here, on this site there is an article about this. It is believed that Lightroom is specially ground for parquet processing, but I calmly manage Adobe Camera RO.

        • Sergey

To start these two are enough:
          Adobe Camera Raw
Nikon Capture NX2 is a native program with an inconvenient interface, but with its own buns that are not available in third-party converters.
Adobe Camera Raw is already part of the latest Photoshop.

        • Lynx

lightroom. In one package with Photoshop, now the non-stolen version costs 299 rubles per month.
lessons on it - to baptize.
