A word of warning to those who wish to purchase one. Sigma HSM lenses are similar to Nikon's own AF-S (Silent Wave Motor) type lenses. Only certain models of Nikon AF cameras can use this type of lens and support the autofocus function. These cameras include: F6, F5, F4, F100, F90, F90x, F80, F70D, U, U2, Pronea 600i series. Pronea S, D3, D2 series, D1 series. D300, D200, D100, D80, D70, D70s, D60, D50, D40, FujiFilm Fine Pix S5 Pro, FujiFilm Fine Pix S3 Pro, Fine Pix S2 Pro. Other models can only be used for manual focusing with this type of lens. However, all other functions (metering, exposure, etc.) will work fine with this and other Sigma HSM lenses.

Of course it is not. All Nikon CZKs will work with them without problems (there are very, very rare exceptions).

Exceptions are not so rare, but they mainly refer to those models that are either too new (such as d3500 or d5600 with basic firmware), or not the latest, but not the oldest (such as d7100 or 3300) models , on which the owner imprudently updated the firmware to the latest))

Autofocus will not work there, unless, of course, Sigma rolls out an updated firmware for its lenses (with a mandatory trip to the SC in this case).

That's right. After updating the firmware on the D7100 (to work with AF-P lenses), the camera stopped focusing with Sigma 10-20 and 17-70. I'm sure the same will happen with this lens.
