Main
TTArtisan Tilt 35/1.4 APS-C is a lens for cropped mirrorless cameras with different bayonets. The review here shows the version for FujiFilm X-mount (the lens is also available for bayonets E, Z, RF, MFT). Manual focus and manual aperture control only, no microprocessor contacts. With a fully metal body. It is possible to tilt (+- 8 degrees with a clamping screw for reliable fixation) and rotate the optical axis (free rotation of 360 degrees around the bayonet mount and a clamping screw for reliable fixation). Ten aperture blades, smooth adjustment without clicks, depth of field and focusing distance scale, tilt and rotation scale.
During focusing, the front part of the lens (trunk) moves forward a little, but does not rotate. Focusing is achieved by moving the entire lens block. The focus ring rotates 135 degrees. All control rings are metal, comfortable, smooth. The rotation ring has clicks. The TTArtisan Tilt 35/1.4 APS-C has a beautiful retro design that is very similar to its full-frame counterpart. TTArtisan Tilt 55/1.4 Full Frame.
Initially, in the film era of photography, tilt of the optical axis (TILT) was mainly used to work with perspective distortions, which is very important, for example, when shooting architecture. But nowadays, tilt of the optical axis is more often used to perform various creative manipulations with DOF, creating, for example, the effect of a toy world, the effect of a miniature, as well as use tilt to increase depth of field during macro photography.

My experience
It's a shame that the lens uses the old optical design from TTArtisan DJ-OPTICAL 35 / 1.4. You shouldn't expect miracles at F/1.4, but it's still a pretty decent lens. First of all, I'm glad that the lens has a very large coverage area when used on Full Frame, which helps minimize vignetting at maximum optical axis shift. I have the version under fujifilm x, but if you look at the coverage area on my full-frame cameras, it is very large, as for a crop lens.

Results
TTArtisan Tilt 35/1.4 APS-C is an inexpensive tilt lens for cropped mirrorless cameras. Good ratio price and quality.
main advantages
- very high quality assembly (highest level of manufacturing quality), metal body, metal bayonet mount, metal focusing ring, metal thread for filters, fabric seal on the front protective cover
- ten aperture blades
- MDF 35 centimeters
- there is the ability to rotate around its axis by 360 degrees with pleasant clicks and a step of 15 degrees, as well as a rotation lock
- Smooth, click-free aperture control ring
- The front lens is deeply recessed into the frame of the body, creating the effect of a built-in lens hood
- very good resolution starting from F/5.6 across the entire frame (even in the far corners) at any focusing distance (at infinity and at MDF)
- there are few similar analogues of the 35/1.4 TILT class (rare lens)
- large full-frame coverage area (on cameras with an APS-C sensor, it allows you to level out vignetting, especially important with a strong tilt of the optical axis)
- relatively low cost (only about $170)
main disadvantages
- big weight
- not the most convenient focus ring
- focusing is not internal type
- front cover without latches (easy to lose)
- no hood included
- chromatic aberration on open diaphragms
- strong spherochromatism, especially during optical axis shift
- poor resolution with zero shift in the far corners of the frame at F/1.4
- big coma at f/1.4
- the optical design is most likely taken from an older model TTArtisan DJ-OPTICAL 35 / 1.4 2021 years

Thank you for looking around!
Great lens to understand and try what Tilt is. Well, it's a 360° wrap. Ale optical jakosti may seem to be the brightest. And the hares are in the control light, then the song is closed. Ale cool)) TTArtisan in its repertoire.
At the control light.
Thanks for the interesting review. As I understand it, for a full frame it is better to buy TTArtisan Tilt 50mm F1.4? It is positioned as a full frame on the official website.
Have you ever been able to see the frame when using the TTArtisan 35/1.4 on a full frame camera?
Best regards

The photos in the review are simply mesmerizingly made. Especially the DSCF1952 on the right in the penultimate row - the effect of a toy world is completely real.
If you like the miniature effect, it's quite easy to do it programmatically in Photoshop. Google it)
