A Chinese company should appear that will only have copies of legendary lenses of past years, but at a new technical level. From a marketing point of view, a very interesting topic. Fits well with the ideology that the Chinese copy everything.
There is already one, it's called Light Lens Lab
If only they had shown a photo of him, it would have been before the river.
On the dealer’s page on Alitse, I keep searching every day and there is no result.
What's interesting is that the new Helios 40-2 costs one and a half times more:
Yeah, it'll probably be even worse. And I won't even mention the Zenithar 75/1.5 - that's a misunderstanding.
Luckily, there are a lot of them used ;-)
The new G40-2 is such a strange thing that when I shot with it and an ancient, battered white G40 at the same time, I didn't notice much of a difference - "Escobar's axiom" in its purest form, if you know what I mean.
What is this )(aww, what is this )(aww! Such that I would bite his mother's mouth... 😂😂😂
I've been looking for Helios 40 all summer, but I couldn't find it at a reasonable price... now I have a chance to make my dream come true, bravo Chinese
You still don’t know on Ali.tsikavo and the photos with this lens will be amazed at how far the copy of the German was.
Well, at least it is 2 times lighter than Helios...
The body is very similar to the Jupiter-9 for Zenit from the 70s.
Here you are right - this is also the first thing that caught my eye.
biotar in black
And that is true.
This Biotar-themed version fits the crop format better than the Helios-40
I hope someone will test it on medium format. Very interesting.
Shot on "Helios 44": blatant crap. I would like to shoot on Helios 40, but now I'll wait for the Chinese one and buy it. Although 75 mm on a crop is too much. It would be better if they updated Helios 44.
What didn't you like about the 44? You can find pretty sharp (for the 44 family) 44M-6 and 44M-7.
On the crop it's still okay, but on the full frame it's an extremely non-universal thing due to the low quality at the edge of the frame. After switching to FF my G44 was sold and I never returned to it.
Yes, I use it on the crop. I like its bokeh pattern and I can't do anything about it. I don't use it on the FF camera.
It's a matter of preference. The G-44 is neither better nor worse, it's just different. The edges are blurry when wide open, even if they are in the plane of sharpness. But do I need them when wide open? Personally, I don't.
A fifty-kopeck piece that is only suitable for the central composition is a very amateurish thing. In this respect, Minolta 58/1.4, Takumar 50/1.4 or Planar 50/1.4 look more advantageous.
Not more profitable). I have SMC Takumar 50/1.4, and successfully use it alternately with Helios. Each of them has its own character, so comparing these lenses is an extremely thankless task.
For the “new” KMZ Zenitar 75mm/1,4 “Helios Edition” this will be a death sentence.
The verdict for it is that it is only for E-mount and, moreover, even worse in quality than the G40 itself.
Gnilos of course, although it costs about the same, ttartisan wants 269 dollars, gnilos will be plus or minus cheaper, especially on the secondary market. But gnilos is very soapy, ttartisan seems to be a little sharper, so it is better to take it!
the final price is $270
The first photos of this lens have appeared online. What can I say: they have added a lot of rarity to it, but all that remains from the Biotar's picture is vignetting with lemons. The bokeh is spoiled on the full-length portrait, especially on 44x33, which even the G40 practically does not have. The Chinese are in their repertoire - they fixed what should not have been touched, and left what needed to be fixed.
