    Remote focusing at 2,4 GHz could also be implemented through an application on a smartphone. Standard WiFi frequency. One less device in your backpack. Times have changed with the advent of smartphones. I myself previously made and programmed a device for remote control of a camera based on Arduino. We needed the ability to shoot time-lapses at programmed intervals. The original control panels couldn't do this. Now it's all in the past. Everything is done through the application.
