It’s quite a fashionable theme among the Chinese to cover cameras with any kind of trashy textured film. And the paint doesn’t wear off as much from use...
In principle, I have nothing against this kind of individualization or, as people say, “customizing”. To each his own. But when a manufacturer, for the purpose of advertising photography, takes a Sony Seven and pastes it under a Leica, it looks, at the very least, strange.
