Sho t is a little expensive for an ordinary fifty dollars, and even from an iong.
And he is not ordinary, he is complex scheme. The Nikon Z model cost $460 at launch. Yes and Yongnuo - does not mean optically weak.
But the fact that it is full-frame (extra weight and dimensions for the Fuji crop) is very bad.
This full-frame Yongno in the Sony version is very sharp and balanced in terms of XA (including in the blur zone). The situation is spoiled by the degradation of bokeh at long shooting distances: in a full-length shot in portrait orientation it is still normal, but further on the highlights turn from circles into rectangular (sic!) Shape scales. Mark Alkhadev has a good overview, I am attaching one of his examples.
And on the crop, this muck will remain outside the sensor, so there is hope that the fifty dollars will really become more balanced.
Although even with this bokeh the lens is decent, it’s just not interesting to everyone.
I took a closer look - about the corrected HA in the blur zone, I bent a little, there are a lot of them. It’s just that the competitor, Zeiss FE 55 / 1,8, has several times more of them, and they get into the sharpness zone. And at Yongno, at least in the sharpness zone, everything is decent.
Zeiss is very good. For Yong under Sony FE, the competitor is not Zeiss, but rather the usual Sony FE 1.8 / 50 (SEL50F18F, 2016) with a classic planar in the optical scheme from a SLR camera.
