Questions remain:

  1. The active phase of the creation of these monsters falls on the five-year period from 2012 to 2017. Why, after 10 years, analogues for mirrorless systems are being created very slowly? After all, the general concept has been adopted that it is much easier to create optics for mirrorless cameras / cameras than for SLR cameras / cameras?
  2. Why are there few such superzooms for DSLR and mirrorless systems with a 4/3 sensor (Panasonic MFT, Olympus MFT)? After all, it is much easier to make such optics for small sensors.

                I agree with Arkady. The son played football. I once took a Sigma 18-250 with me to training and did one of my best sessions. Didn't miss a single interesting moment. Neither razor sharpness nor bokeh is important in such situations. I did not miss the most unique moments, and squeezed them into the frame. So I changed my mind about selling that lens and I keep an old Sigma just for such things. Football, children in the company, animals - there are situations when only such zooms will make that very unique shot.

    18-300 is boring .. It would be under crop 12-400 2.8, compact and weighing 300 grams, sharp from edge to edge at all focal lengths, without aberrations, also for $ 500 - I would take it without hesitation))) And if it were parfocal and with constant t-stops - I would throw another 50)))

      It is impossible to have a 400 aperture at 2.8mm, you need to have a front lens diameter of at least 143mm, imagine the weight of the whole structure yourself.

    I had number 2 from this list.. 16-300. I got it in addition to the D7500 six years ago. I even gave him a chance. But after 2 weeks, he lost his place in my backpack, left my collection and was generally expelled from my house. Extremely "bad" glass. Apparently they took place when the manufacturer was trying to save the market for large cameras. And everyone (and it was like that 10 years ago) had a Central Control Commission in the house. But just “everyone” did not want to mess with a bunch of optics and were happy to have everything in one on their cruises and at home holidays. This has been replaced by smartphones. Now “everyone” has a smartphone, photography enthusiasts have inexpensive crops and even affordable FFs with a bunch of interesting and inexpensive optics, but nothing has changed for professionals.
    I think that's why the manufacturer will not adapt something that few people need.

    Under Micra and Sony E, superzooms were among the very first lenses. Only a few will change 14-140 to, say, 14-300, the influx of new users is small, so they don’t release them.

    In addition, it turned out that people need cameras with interchangeable lenses for high-quality pictures, because they can get low-quality ones on old cameras or even on mobile phones. I opened the list of the best-selling lenses on Amazon, and the Tamron 12-28 / 200-2,8 under FE turned out to be the most popular ultrazoom in 5,6th place, which produces a uniform sharp image. Kenon RF 24-240 is in 49th place, but the soapy and outdated Sony 24-240 did not enter the top 100 at all.

    Apparently, even under mirrorless cameras it is difficult to make a more or less sharp zoom on a 20MP matrix with a span of more than 7x.

    From a funny point: mirrorless Fujinon XF 18-135 and Tamron 18-300 (B061) are at least comparable in image quality in the intersecting range, and in my personal opinion, Tamron is better.

    Canon CN20x50 IAS H E1 / P1 with EF (or PL) mount has a FR of 50-1000mm, light transmission T / 5,0-8,9 and covers Super35.
    The cost is slightly more than that of a budget aircraft.
