The optical design is the same as the previous Panasonic 12-35 / 2,8. On digitalkamera.de they write that the type of glass of the UHR element has changed - I don’t know how useful this is without changing the rest of the geometry. Also slightly reduced MDF.
If the brand of one glass has already been changed (not to an analogue), then the geometry of the remaining lenses has changed. Another thing is that without a real change in the circuit diagram, the changes in the optical properties will probably be minimal in this case.
