It is strange that the Chinese produce such a lens and only for two mounts ...
It is strange that this is fifty dollars, and not 35 mm., For example.
Why?
It seems to me that they just started with the most structurally simple lens - fifty dollars.
This is not Venus Optics with its immensely cool designers ...
Maybe you're right. On the other hand, Arsenal was unlikely to have immensely cool designers, but they were able to: https://radojuva.com/2013/12/35mm-pcs-arsat-h-2-8-mir-67/
Arsenal was the most advanced optical enterprise in the USSR. Look - they had a well-developed system of cameras and lenses, among which were not the obsolete Helios-44 and I-50, but quite a decent G-81N with MS, TVs like Telear 200 / 3.5, zooms (Granite-11 is generally the only folk zoom for the entire scoop), the widths were with MS - 35/2 Mir-24N and 20 / 3.5 Mir-20N. Moreover, Arsenal was the only manufacturer of medium format DSLRs and optics for them in the USSR. Tair-33, Volna-3 and Vega-28 are still of interest.
In general, just Arsenal were pretty cool, but like many enterprises, conversion, economic shocks, they did not survive the market. And it’s a pity - in Ukraine there is also an Izyum plant that melts glass, from which the same Arsenal could make excellent optics ...
Yes, in the defense industry of the Soviet of Deputies everything was of the highest order. As for the Izyum plant, I don’t know until what point they were melting glass (at least in 2000, when I was there, they produced spectacle lenses and inserted them into Chinese frames, a whole business then grew around the plant, cooperatives, PE etc.) and not sure if it exists at the moment(
In the defense industry, the Soviet of Deputies was not always of the highest rank - the same LZOS managed to kill absolutely all of its Jupiter-9s in production (it is very likely that by decentering), the quality of Wave-9 macro also raises questions. True, now LZOS is an even more miserable sight, no doubt.
This is a shift, not a tilt mechanism. Not tilt, but shift.
It seems to me that the slope is structurally and computationally more difficult to do.
Rodion, what do you think?
In my opinion, there is not much difference. Oddly enough, the tilt of adapters is known to the sea, but the shift is not so much.
Rodion: About the highest category, I, rather, in an ironic sense. And then, the production of photographic equipment for civilian purposes in military factories has always been a side effect, and if something worthwhile came out, then it was a matter of chance, because. the party did not set such tasks (to provide the Soviet mass consumer with high-quality photographic equipment). Although there was certainly potential.
As for LZOS and its memorable Jupiters-9, I completely agree: as recently as yesterday, I was able to make sure that the black LZOS U9 with a single-layer enlightenment of 1978 covers its MS-descendant of 1995 like a beetle to a bug: it has less software, better sharpness and resolution, especially along the edge (test on SF).
I won’t say anything for Arsenal, but its Vega-28 is not inferior in the picture, and probably even surpasses its Zeiss relatives Biometar 120 / 2,8.
Hi all. I am the owner of ttartisan 90/1.25 (excellent glass), now I bought this tilt 50/1.4. I had 21 / 1.5 from this company - but I got either a marriage or crap - soap on the one hand, horror. Now I'm going to test tilt 50mm. I'm waiting for it to dry and the greens will come out. Peace and goodness to all!
