Comments: 29, on the topic: Autofocus lenses class 70-200 / 2.8

  • Oleg

2,8 is boring, and a big and expensive fool. It used to be that old inexpensive ones were on Nikon’s mirror, and on a new mount at the price of a spaceship there will be

    • hwnd

But you can use mirrored glass on the bzk. In any case, Nikon.

      • Victor

On screwdrivers, those very inexpensive ones, there will be no autofocus.

        • hwnd

Yes you are right. For some reason, I was sure that there was a screwdriver in the adapter ... Well, one more reason not to go to the BKZ (I have 2 out of 4 screwdriver lenses).

          • Alexey

Very soon, the ZK will die out, given that their production is being curtailed everywhere and you still have to switch to the BZK, therefore now it’s no worse than later, and sitting on the principle - the BZK doesn’t have a screwdriver is stupidity.

            • Victor

Very soon - in how many years?

              • Alexey

I’m not a fortune teller, look how many ZK cameras the same Nikon produces, even the D850 was discontinued, of what was left for amateurs, only the D780 and D7500 remained (I don’t remember exactly) and I doubt that for a long time, even AF-S optics are massively discontinued . I don’t know how to sit on screwdrivers, I don’t even know how to say it in a more civilized way, now these lenses on the secondary market are traded for a penny, and every month there will be more and more offers, and less and less demand, because IMHO it’s better to get rid of it now than to throw away unnecessary screwdriver systems in the trash for free later.

              • Victor

That is, when the last CZK manufacturer curtails its activities in this direction, automatically all cameras already released will stop working? What about screwdriver optics? Many specimens are already under 20-30 years old, and they feel great)))

              • Alexey

I deeply don’t care that a Muscovite 412 can still drive in 2030 and that doesn’t stop it from being a car, and to be honest, I don’t care that someone will use it just because it can drive and it’s still a car.

              • Victor

                Quite peculiar.

Rather, in the world of cars, it will be closer to compare the Nissan Patrol and some modern budget class sedan like the Hyundai Solaris, a soulless puzoterka, but with air conditioning, heated seats and a rear view camera :)

            • hwnd

Well, why should I change the D800 to the UPC? For filming “for myself” it costs ~$8k to change the set of all equipment, I don’t see any rational sense in this.

    • Arkady Shapoval

Everything is very relative, 200 / 2.8 is not boring at all, and there are only a couple of brighter autofocus full-frame XNUMXs.

      • Oleg

        Essentially an analogue of 135 / 2.0

  • Oleg

In this regard, Olegas is interesting, who does not recognize fast zooms at all, but uses a couple, three fixes. Conditionally 35/2.0 reporter, 50/1.2 indoor portrait and 135/1.8 outdoor portrait

    • in

But I do not recognize Oleg, what should I do?

      • Oleg

In the sense you do not recognize fixes

        • in

I mean, I don’t recognize Olegas, cheap content for youngsters, sometimes only interesting interviews, but seriously look at his activities - only through your fingers

          • Oleg

Yes, only there is a bunch of Kenon optics that are not on Radozhiv and will not be anymore. Plus a bunch of examples of crop-full frame

    • Arkady Shapoval

Blind faith in fixes - that's what it is.

      • Oleg

Why faith is quite a topic for discussion

        • Arkady Shapoval

approximately because the theme of fixes vs zooms is as stupid as, for example, zk vs bzk. One-sided statements are always absurd

    • Sergei

I used to shoot reports on 35 / 1.8, and then I bought 28-75 / 2.8 and sent all the advisers from the Internet. Reporting on a fix is a perversion.

  • Seladir

Relatively recently, I took Tamron 70-200 USD VC for 10K UAH - a real topper for my money: sharp on ff and crop, AF is fast and accurate, there is a stub.
As a result, it became one of the most used for me both for walks and for portraits.

    • Oleg

      Find at this price

    • Arkady Shapoval

I love 70-200 / 2,8 very much, I have already mentioned more than once that if I had the opportunity, I would only shoot on it, but I also need a wider lens. I really like Canon 24-70 / 2.8 L II, Canon 24-70 / 2.8 IS L II

      • Seladir

I would also like to have a 2.8 staffer, but it seems to me that in the case of the aforementioned canons, it is very difficult to find a copy in good condition and without jambs after a bunch of years of operation in commerce (I know that the diaphragm plume often breaks on them).

    • Sergei

      Congratulations!

You OK like 70-300 wanted? )

      • Seladir

You are probably confusing me with someone else)
70-300 is not directly interesting to me, since as a telephoto I already have a cropped 55-250 IS STM, which is better optically and in workmanship, but as a portrait lens in full frame I still wanted more aperture.

    • ks

Same stuff. But I took a new g2, reasoning that we live 1 time and it should be enough for me until death
