Something none of the manufacturers released anything from autofocus optics for a cropped system Canon EF-M (APS-C)... There is a feeling that this system will be replaced by something else on the mount Canon RF.

Mirrorless system Nikon Z (APS-C) develops very, very slowly. The same goes for a mirrorless system. Leica L (APS-C). Feel good only Sony E (APS-C)FujiFilm X (APS-C) and Micro 4/3 (Olympus + Panasonic) as well as all full-frame mirrorless systems: Sony FE, Canon RF, Nikon Z (FX) + alliance from Panasonic L, Leica l и Sigma L.

Presented this year only two new autofocus lenses for SLR cameras: Pentax 21 / 2.4 и PENTAX 16-50 / 2.8... And just a few new manual lenses for DSLR cameras: IRIX 30 / 1.4, Laowa 14 / 4, Mitakon 135 / 2.5, Voigtlander 90 / 2.8... Still under SLR cameras were presented autofocus updates to older solutions: , , . Also manual updates of older solutions: MC RUBINAR 1000/10 Macro, MC RUBINAR 500/8 Macro, MC RUBINAR 500/5.6 Macro, MC RUBINAR 300/4.5 Macro, and a little bit of nostalgia: Meyer Optik Görlitz Primoplan 58 / 1.9 II, Voigtlander COLOR-SKOPAR 28 / 2.8 SL II S DSLR.

It is clearly seen that only the Pentax company remained faithful to the 'mirror', which does not have a modern mirrorless system (everything froze on Pentax K-01 and strange Q, Q10, Q7, Q-s1) and continues to develop its SLR cameras and lenses. The number of new mirror solutions is very small. Big brands like Canon, Nikon, Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, Carl Zeiss, etc. have not presented a single autofocus lens for SLR cameras in 2021. Everyone is leaving or has already gone to the mirrorless segment. 2021 can be safely considered the year of the sunset of the 'mirror'.

    > Only Sony E (APS-C) feel good ...
Since November 19, the acceptance of orders for the Sony α6400 and α6100 has been suspended.
Since December 3, the acceptance of orders for the Sony ZV-E10 has been suspended.
Since December 23, the acceptance of orders for the Sony α6600 has been suspended and the production of the α6100 has been discontinued.

At the same time, take a look at how many came out in 2021 under Sony E (APS-C) and already have under Sony E (APS-C).
It also needs to be clarified that only a7-II (camera of 2014 of the announcement!) and a6100 are out of production, and the acceptance of orders for Sony α6400, Sony α6600, Sony ZV-E10 is associated only with global problems in the supply of chips. That is, the cameras and the system do not close and continue to develop and acquire lenses. But on the network they like to make a hype out of the blue.

      • Sergei

it is strange that Sony has such problems, but other manufacturers of cameras do not have these problems, at least the aps-c segment, despite the fact that Sony is clearly the largest and most versatile corporation of all, which also sells components to others. Most likely, they simply remove the poorly selling cameras and shift the power to others.

        • Arkady Shapoval

But why, Nikon / Canon constantly pops up similar yellow articles like: delays in the delivery of this or that lens / camera. Everything is the same, but presented in a different way.

          • Joe

I would not call the first-hand information (directly from Sony - the manufacturer) published on the manufacturer's website a “yellow article”.

            • Arkady Shapoval

Yes, but all the yellow sites carried this information under the "sauce". The same goes for official information from Nikon / Canon.

            • Victor

Any information that does not correspond to reality is quite acceptable to call "yellow", and the submission of such information is quite an expected move on the part of the marketing department to warm up interest in purchases.

      • Victor

Yes, if we take the crop, Sony E and FujiX (but still the first ones) are obvious favorites.

And it is clear for several years that the time of DSLRs is coming to an end, they will only rely on enthusiasts - ardent adherents of the JVI.

      • Vlad

        Sony also discontinued the fresh a7c. There are only basic a7 3, a7 4, and expensive professional a7p4, a7s3, a9 2 and a1

The results are not encouraging. Especially in Ukraine. Especially with regard to lenses, and of all manufacturers, except for the Chinese. Now in Ukraine, it is impossible to find a makrik with a focal length from 60 to 100 mm for sale. Except, perhaps, the Kenon weave with RF mount and EF IS. But the price of the latter has increased by UAH 6-10 thousand in our online stores over the year. If last year in autumn the price was from 24 thousand UAH, now it is from 34 thousand UAH. And so the price has risen for many lenses. Despite the fact that the dollar has not grown in exchange value.
Lack of chips, a fucking virus and global greed, sweeping the entire planet, are doing their dirty deed.
While it may be right, there are too many photographers to divorce. Over there we have the day of the wedding shooting (12 hours) - from 180 green. In 2019, it was from 500.
I think that in 3-5 years the profession of a photographer will disappear exponentially. Smartphones and artificial intelligence in them will make the camera unnecessary in 80-90% of cases. With large box cameras, only enthusiasts will remain.
And it was also surprising that there were so few announcements from Kenon in the past year.

    • Alexander

At one time, the theater was buried because of the advent of television, painting - because of photography. No AI will make even a pitiful semblance of pictures that were created, for example, by Cartier-Bresson. And do not think so dismissively about amateur photographers, for some reason you leave 10-20 percent of the image market to them. Those who want to buy a camera, even for the sake of showing off, will be much more, because a smartphone, even a cool one, will not surprise anyone.

      • Tserg

Alexander, can anyone be surprised by a camera, even a cool one? I don't think so. It's just that photography has become very everyday and very accessible. Regarding amateur photographers, the question is interesting and controversial. I don't consider anyone who has a camera, even if it's a cool one, to be a amateur photographer. Most people with a camera are show-offs for a family album or for narcissism. A amateur photographer is a special category, with its own psychology, views and attitude towards photography. And I didn't say amateur photographers would die out. On the contrary, they will exist, along with applied photography, as long as photography or this civilization on Earth exists.

        • Joe

          > What can you surprise anyone with a camera, even a cool one?
Yes, you can, and quite simply.
Try picking up any camera model with a built-in battery pack (like Canon 1Dx / Nikon D5), and even with a lens like 70-200mm f/2.8, or any other big enough lens, and shoot something or someone on a city street . Reactions may be different, but the attention of a part of the public will be ensured. Everyone is already so accustomed to taking photos on the phone that the presence of a camera, and even a large one, already surprises many, and most likely, you will be mistaken for a professional photographer.

          • Victor

“Surprising” and “being mistaken for a professional photographer” are two different things.

They will simply be mistaken for a professional photographer - maybe, but the fact that they will be surprised that a “professional photographer” has a camera is hardly. It's like being surprised to see a road worker have a jackhammer.

            • Joe

To make it clear to you, I will draw an analogy.
In cities, many people are accustomed to using serial civilian vehicles. And if they see BRDM-2 on the road, they are surprised, because this is not a typical transport for the city. Probably, the driver will be mistaken for a military man, but they will be surprised at an atypical car anyway.

              • Victor

                The analogy is so-so.
Not only is the likelihood of the appearance of the BRDM-2 in the city is small, much less the likelihood of a person with a large camera, but what is there to be surprised at? The military also sometimes needs to move from point A to point B. Is it unusual for children, yes, they will point fingers “mom, dad, look what car went, what is it called?” :-)

              • Victor

And now, to make it clear to you, I will give my analogy. Now, if some self-propelled guns appear on the main square of the city and shoot right into the administration building, or you come across on the same square (of a small Russian town) face to face with someone like Barack Obama, or, as an option, aliens will land on the square , just like in the movie "Mars Attacks", wow, it will be amazing. But you will not compare these events with the appearance of a passer-by who only has a large camera in his hands?))

And to be surprised at the presence of a jackhammer at a road service worker ... Well, this is ... = \

              • Specialist

I am very surprised at your dispute, however.

  • Oleg

I think in the near future Sony will become the number one company. A great financial resource, competent politicians with an open bayonet, I think it will be so with the departure of the mirror. As much as Olegas would not want the opposite

    • Joe

Company # 1 by what criterion?
By the number of employees? By annual profit? By the number of fans on the Internet?
In the near future - when?
The real share of Sony cameras among photographers can be indirectly estimated, for example, according to analytics from Mywed: https://mywed.com/ru/analytics/camera-list/
5% of photographs and 10% of photographers. Well yes, # 1.
On flickr Sony is in fourth place: https://www.flickr.com/cameras
World Press Photo 2021 winners - Sony in 4th place with 13% (last year they had 16,7%):
      https://petapixel.com/2021/04/16/the-cameras-that-shot-the-winning-photos-of-world-press-photo-2021/
That is, the overall picture from different sources is approximately the same - in the field of photography, Sony cameras are in third place.
There are also less impressive results, for example, World Landscape Photographer winners - 0 Sony cameras (almost all - Nikon), only for 2020 there are 1 Sony:

Sony, by the way, not only produces cameras, but also film cameras. But, for example, films are nominated for Oscar, almost all filmed on ARRI and Red, it is extremely rare to see Sony cameras there: https://www.premiumbeat.com/blog/cameras-behind-oscar-nominated-films/
In my opinion, Sony is the leader so far only in terms of the number of talks about it.

        Here are the global trends

        • Oleg

And if you throw SLR cameras out of these 38%, then the leadership of the kenon is not so undeniable. And in my opinion, Sony's bzk is already the leader in sales

      • Victor

Well, at least Sony is the leader in terms of the number of side optics for this system, this is an objective fact.

Dragging Z 9 is a breakthrough - the first camera WITHOUT a mechanical shutter ...

    • Arkady Shapoval

not quite, they already were, in the same Nikon 1 J1.

      • Joe

And among the full-frame mirrorless cameras with interchangeable lenses without a mechanical shutter, there were at least the Sigma fp and Sigma fp L.

        • Victor

Sigma FP can hardly be called a camera, although it formally allows you to take photos along with video shooting.

      soap dish

      • Ivan

In soap dishes, the shutter is combined with the diaphragm.

    • Ivan

Here, explain to me in a simpler way what is the advantage of not using a mechanical shutter in photo mode?
After all, you will not tell the photons of light - Stop, one, two! After working off the exposure, the photons will still hit the matrix and accumulate charge in the cells. And that means it will be necessary to somehow "zero" (remove the additional accumulated charge) before the new frame.
      So what's the breakthrough?
If Nikon implemented a global shutter on a CMOS matrix, this would be a breakthrough. And so, out of nowhere, we got additional hemorrhoids, which marketers present as another breakthrough.
P / S I would like to be wrong in my conclusions.

      • Arkady Shapoval

        There are many advantages:

1.Practically unlimited burst speed. The Z9 can already do 120fps. TOP D6 on mechanics gives only 14 fps. The difference is almost an order of magnitude (almost 10 times). This is essential.
2.No dimming of the viewfinder. And this is not just a trifle, an inconvenience, but it also leads to constant tracking of the focusing and exposure metering system. Ultimately more stable focusing and more stable exposure, especially at high shooting speeds
3.No tent shock from mechanical shutter. It seems that this is a trifle, but take a look, for example, at the first generation sony a7r, where the tent-shock was terrible already at shutter speeds longer than 1/500.
4.there is no wear on the shutter, even on the best cameras the shutter sooner or later crumbles - because it is mechanical
5.no noise from the shutter, I remember the same loud Sony a7r
6.No lag shutter with a fully mechanical shutter. Let me remind you that with a fully mechanical shutter, you must first close the shutter (raise the curtains), and only then lower the curtains. Lag is formed due to the time of the initial closing of the shutter
7.If we take a partially mechanical shutter (to overcome the previous ailment), with a front electronic shutter, then a serious problem of the blur zone appears, described here
        8. The electronic shutter allows for a “minus shutter lag” where a shot can be taken before even pressing the shutter button. Some cameras can buffer the last couple of seconds and include those seconds in the photo sequence the moment you press the shutter button. Even if these seconds are not important, then this method allows you to get a completely zero lag (because a snapshot is simply taken, minus the lag time)

By the way, a fully electronic shutter has already been in many cameras and for a very long time. The same Niko 1 J1 and others and there were no problems

        • Ivan

          Sorry it was a glitch..
There is a tracking autofocus on the pixels of the matrix and all the other goodies of mirrorless cameras.
          You press the shutter button.
The accumulated charge in the cells is discharged. This, as I understand it, has been implemented. And the accumulation of light begins for the selected 1 / 200s exposure
These 1/200s pass and the reading of information from the matrix for writing to a file begins. Indeed, for LV or for display in EVI, it was not necessary to constantly process all the megapixels of the matrix before that. Here is the reading of the matrix. The Z9, if my memory serves me, has a lag of 0,016s. That is, while the CPU reads from the first pixel to the last, 1/200s + 0,016s will pass. After all, the light flow to the matrix is not mechanically blocked by a shutter, which means that the accumulation of photons continues.
This means that the first pixels will receive 1 / 200s of the luminous flux, and the last 1 / 200s + 0,016s. And there will be a gradient flare. Either you need to programmatically handle this bias ... Or Nikon hastened to move from the mechanical shutter to the introduction of the global shutter.
As for me, Nikon was the first to abandon the mechanical, which of course will remain in the history of the photographic industry, but he himself invented "crutches" and began to fight with them.

I explained to you. Do you have any questions about my text? Or do you still not see the benefits?

Regarding your remark about the gradient and so on - it seems to me that everything is not the way you described it. A lag of 0,016 not by exposure, but by exactly when the signal will be read, which is why the rolling tent is formed

And once again - on the same Nikon 1 J1, Nikon 1 J2, Nikon 1 J3, Nikon 1 J4, Nikon 1 J5 with only an electronic shutter, there have never been any mythical / fantastic gradients :)

          • Sergei

The light in the cells is ejected at the same rate as the light is then read from the cells, so no gradients occur.

But the rolling shutter is happening.

  • Oleg

Does this mean that Nikon has a permanently open matrix or some kind of curtain still has

    • Ivan

There is a curtain, but a protective one. It covers the sensor while removing the lens.
Here's an explanation of how it works:

      Arkady, two comments are missing.

      • Arkady Shapoval

either spam or filter by stop words

    • Arkady Shapoval

even if it is constantly open - what's the problem? Just an example, I have a sony a3500 with a range of 100.000, I constantly change lenses on it (all the time, at least more than 40 reviews have been done on it). And there the sensor is always open and there are no problems.
But in general, the Z9 has a shutter for changing lenses.

  • Oleg

Canon said that top DSLRs are everything. The last one was 1 dx mark 3. Budget and middle class DSLRs will continue to be produced for now, because there is still a great demand for them.
