Comments: 33, on the topic: New autofocus lenses for SLR cameras have ceased to be announced

  • Dmitry V.G.

Logically, "mirror" technology is dying out. What is the point of producing new optics on it (especially since those released over the past decades are enough for everyone, from amateurs to pros).

  • Trueash

Interestingly, prices on the secondary housing will fall, or vice versa, will rise ...

    • Serg

they have already fallen on the DSLRs.

  • Oleg

For 30 years there have been 2 revolutions in photography. The first is when the canon changed its mount, and the second is when Aunt Sonya began to promote the full-frame bzk. As a result, the titans of the industry abandoned their DSLRs and ran to catch up with their aunt. Therefore, so that the greyhound does not speak, but the aunt revolutionized the industry by putting the mirror segment of the market on the shoulder blades

  • Michael

Very good. Let all and sundry switch to mirrorless and mobile phones. Totally agree. Get away from photographers. Maybe they will still release DF 2 without a video with a funky matrix and just for photography. The lenses are really a cloud of clouds. You can take pictures for pleasure without rushing anywhere. And if someone needs to sculpt blobs - welcome to instant Internet photography - mirrorless - and photos and videos and everything like that.

    • Arkady Shapoval

DF2 will no longer be released. ZFc has already been released - and this is already a combine.

    • Oleg

want to say that everyone who takes pictures at the bzk is not photographers

      • Victor

There is such a misconception among some people.

However, if you tell them that “everyone who takes digital photographs is not photographers, real photographers are those who use a format camera with furs” - for some reason they get offended :)

    • Victor

Glad to like-minded person! Good luck in creating PHOTOS!

    • Jea reth

And let's not live-view yet? And autofocus? And you can also not use the exposure meter! And do not view the filmed material on the back screen. And-and-and flash only in manual mode, shoot.

Do you know what all this has to do with your comment besides being overly radical? Answer: all these functions have not prevented any photographer from taking good pictures.

      • Michael

Well, the pursuit of video degrades the performance of the sensor in photo mode, so it's not such a radical approach.

        • Victor

Video (and live video, which is essentially the same video) appeared in cameras almost 15 years ago, and these “deteriorations” do not bother anyone to shoot.

        • Arkady Shapoval

Here in Df there is no video, how much worse is the picture for a photo than Nikon D4s with the same sensor, but with the presence of video?

          • Michael

I think it's the same. I mean ANOTHER matrix, which, in principle, does not shoot video

            • Victor

Mikhail, what kind of deterioration of the matrices that “shoot video” do you have the opportunity to observe in comparison with matrices that “do not shoot video”? Please list these features, preferably with links to authoritative sources.

        • Jea reth

How is this, may I ask? Explain this to me, a person not quite far from physics and electronics. Only, please, without mythology and examples on cameras, on which a custom photographer took pictures of me in a dog costume at a New Year's party in kindergarten.

  • LoliFromFutanari

It's a shame, of course. I would really like to see lenses for EF-S in the most aesthetic design a la Sony and Canon RF, EF-M.

    • Arkady Shapoval

In principle, Canon itself did not produce almost anything adequate for EF-S. For example, there are no Canon EF-S L-series lenses, or all EFS fixes are no brighter than 2.8.
Of the “powerful” solutions, I would single out only 17-55 / 2.8 IS USM.

      • Vasya

not only powerful but also cheap just 900 bucks!

      • Victor

And then, 17-55 is rather weak on the periphery on the open, it cannot be compared with the same sigma 18-35, for example.

But for a crop, yes, quite a versatile, strong middling.

        • Arkady Shapoval

Sigma is shorter, and without a stub, although 1.8. But in general, everything is correct :). By the way, the same Nikon officially released 4-pro lenses for its mirror crop (something like the L-series). Even jokes (or not jokes) went around - if crop - then Nikon, if full frame - then Canon. But this is all relative.

          • Oleg

            12-24, 17-55, 16-80, and the fourth?

            • Victor

              Fishye 10.5mm

            • Arkady Shapoval

              10.5/2.8

  • Michael

Have you stopped announcing new ones? To me, roughly speaking, it is monopenisual. For my time and my unassuming unperverted taste, what is ...

  • Charles

I need to get drunk ...

  • Yuriy75

It is necessary that new carcasses be released so that all this optical wealth can be “worn out”.

  • Igor

    No.
This year there were announcements of new lenses for the Pentax K mirror mount.
    And also a new camera.

But of course any mirrored promises from manufacturers,
which already have a mirrorless ruler, of course, you shouldn't believe it.

    • Arkady Shapoval

Well, in the video I mentioned Pentax and his special way

  • Serg

Why make new ones? them and so dofigische all sorts of different.
autonomy of a DSLR and mirrorless is like heaven and earth :)
this is important to many and they will use a DSLR

  • Serg

    simple example from me.
    - I have a mirror and a mirrorless, and so the DSLR in the cold from -10 to -35 feels great and the battery does not say that it is planted.
    - what about a mirrorless? and all the temperature is -10 after 20 minutes, the camera writes a discharged battery, clicks a couple of frames and is cut down, you have to take a second warmed battery out of your pocket and change it!
    here's a mirrorless.

    • Victor

-35? Feels great? Oh well :-)

    • Human

It also depends on the case, for example, in the A7S, the “iron” case freezes instantly, last year at -32 the battery lasted for 7-10 minutes, but the RP case is plastic, it freezes more slowly, a little more than half an hour is enough
