Comments: 7, on the topic: Announcement: Voigtlander NOKTON 35mm F1.2

Well, this ... Non-autofocus 1.2 for 700 dollars in the presence of 1.4 native for the same money, but autofocus is a dubious purchase.

    • Arkady Shapoval

The native does not have the inscription "Voigtlander NOKTON"

      • Victor

Does this work in much the same way as the magic of the German red circle? Then I agree, the native simply has no chance ((

        • Arkady Shapoval

That's what I wrote about. It's a pity the red circle is even more expensive

curious, is there an aspheric in its optical scheme?

Clarification about apodization. A gradient filter in a photo is usually a special filter that evens out the exposure for the top and bottom half of the frame (for example, sky and forest). For apodization, a filter is used, in which the central light part smoothly turns into a dark one near the edge. The diaphragm with a smooth (gradient) edge also works. I read somewhere earlier that in nature, apodization is used in the device of vision, and this allows the eye to normally see an object next to a bright light source in the field of view, i.e. the light from the source does not obstruct the image. APD filters for photos give the effect of discs of unsharpness with a smooth (gradient) edge, this can be seen in the examples of photos in the descriptions of the filters. Perhaps they also help from being blocked by a strong light source near the subject in the field of view.
