Once I bought a Tamron 18-200 with a stub, for Canon 4000D, I will never buy Tamron again, especially a superzoom, there is no sharpness, focusing is 40% misses, the colors are specific. In short, worse than whale 18-55.

    • Novel

The 18-55, especially the last one, which is 4-5.6 (and shorter due to this), is not such a bad lens. Let's say that the same Canon 18-200 is not much different from this Tamron, but this is not a reason to form an opinion about the entire technology of the company. Canon has an equally awful 17-85. Just don’t buy cheap superzoom, don’t get fooled by the promise of getting the full range of superzoom for a penny.

The same 16-300, due to the better design, turned out to be much better, and the series of 10-24, 24-70, 70-200 is generally very good. And even 150-600, to which Canon has not provided analogues, in order not to compete with big white lenses, are rated quite high. 35-150 is very good in full-frame portraits, fixes are very good.

Personally, I like Tamrons in general more than Sigma and Tokin (Tokina was so completely blown away). Usually, they have fewer problems with AF and the color of solutions with BBAR is cleaner, sonorous and pleasant. I shot a lot with different models, in general they really have a lot of worthy solutions. You should not expect anything from the first 18-250 and 18-270, but 16-300, 18-200 are quite suitable staffs. Of course, there is a difference in quality, perhaps Yuriy75 got burned on a bad version. Of course, this does not honor Tamron, but it is also impossible to judge the whole company by one lens.

        • Novel

Especially for the obviously compromise superzoom.

There are 20 of them different, there are 18-200

In fact, only two: A14 (copy of Sony / Minolta 18-200) and B018

Maybe there is some information about when this lens will be for Fuji.
He suits me very much, for now, of course, purely theoretically. Thank you in advance.
