The layout is very similar to the old 105 2.8G, with the only rear lens assembly redesigned. Well, there must be great glass.
here you go! glass norms have arrived, it's not a shame for this and give 1000, which of course I will not do)))
I bought this lens yesterday. Having chased him to the pedmet of ants and bees, he remained, not just, but very happy and in the evening he made a comparative test with the old AF-S 105 f / 2.8. (I wrote somewhere that on the Z7 II camera, he disappointed me). I tested it on the Z7 II camera, the distance to the target is about 5 meters, the ReFocal program. Well, in general, the pictures speak for themselves.
The first is the AFS lens
And the second - Z series
What does AF accuracy have to do with macrique quality? which is shot with manual focus.
Well, I’m not that one has -3 and the other has 0 or + 1. The vertical scale is directly related to the resolution of the lens. I'm talking about that.
Makrik is also good as a portrait lens - 105 / 2.8 - very portrait parameters. And I don’t know about Nikon, but Canon has the auto-stacking option for some lenses, when the camera focuses instead of using the rail, so the AF quality there will be a rather important parameter.
Yes, and I do not strongly agree with the fact that, once a macro, then only manually. Maybe this goes back to the days of the AF screwdriver. Pixel autofocus for Nikons Z (and this lens can only be used with them) works very accurately and quickly. So manually is great, but is it necessary?
I have a Nikkor 105 2.8D on a kenon and focus with my hands, both in macro and in a portrait. although there is also an electronic follow focus, I rarely use it.
Perhaps this is a matter of habit. But if you tried THIS lens on a good camera (not theoretically, but live) - all doubts would go away at once. Or an analogue from a canon (if any). And once again - all that I was trying to convey here is my feelings and My little experiment. And about the macro - here everyone decides what, what and how. Sometimes and why.
stacking to AF is not very relevant. for stacking is relative, not absolute. I sometimes shoot like this on kenon for nikkor. external drive and motor control controller.
I want to note right away that everything above is not laboratory research, but exclusively my impressions and some kind of objective proof that the new line of Nikon's S lenses is “just a miracle”
