  • UPDATED: video review of 7Artisans 35mm 1: 0.95 under Sony E is here

Risepray 35 / 0.95 went on sale in January 2020 of the year (screen). I suppose that Risepray 35 / 0.95 was based on the optical scheme of a rather popular and well-known at that time Zhongyi Speedmaster 35mm F / 0.95 Mark II, which was submitted also in February 2016 of the year. After disassembly lenses Risepray 35mm F / 0.95 и Zhongyi Speedmaster 35 / 0.95 Mark II it turned out that Risepray 35 / 0.95 better assembled using more advanced methods and solutions. Only in October 2020 lens was presented 7Artisans 35mm 1: 0.95, which in all respects resembles Risepray 35 / 0.95... Time of appearance of such a lens Kaxinda 35 / 0.95 I don't know.

The name is ambiguous, we can only guess what the Chinese meant - rise spray or rises pray :-)

In any case, the appearance of super-high-aperture optics for such modest means is good news.

But without autofocus, all this is interesting for 1-2% of enthusiasts. Especially such super-fast optics - you wave to dance with the camera until you get into focus. For $ 500, but with AF - it would be already interesting.

    • Rodion

DOF is equivalent to a 70/2 lens - no big deal. Although due to the scale of the other, aiming may be more difficult.

        On APS-C it's 52.5 / 1.425

        • Eugene

As an option, the speedbooster wiltrox + 50 1.4 (there are no problems on the EFM with autofocus). Just 500 bucks can fit.

“Swinging” is not necessary - there are different auxiliary devices - picking, magnifying glass, and it will be more accurate than on a DSLR with autofocus, go.

For the last month I have mostly used a manual lens on my old Fuji and getting to F1.4 does not cause any particular difficulties. At 0.95 it will probably be more difficult to hit, but for such aperture and the corresponding plot it is worth trying, spend a little more time and 3-4 takes.

      • Trueash

Picking is a good thing, but efficiency is still lost. And the magnifying glass ... the image trembles so that in general what the hell you see. Even on a tripod.

        • Victor

Are you sure you shot with a pick and a magnifier on a standard (35mm on a crop) lens?

I agree about the inoperativeness of picking: if you shoot chaotically moving athletes, for example, football or basketball players in a gym, it will be very inoperative there, autofocus is better.

        • Alexey

I shoot on manual glasses on a Canon SLR with ML, there are no problems, in terms of focusing speed, it is almost like on the UPC. Yes, on large FRs there is blur on the display from hand tremors, but this is inevitable on any camera, in such cases I use a tripod.
