Material prepared Arkady Shapoval.
$ 7,5 per gram lens. Inexpensive.
A moment of hatred for the future owners of this unjustifiably expensive glass.
Why hate them? Just because they have more money?
What else for? O_o
Well, in this case, firstly, it would be more correct to call it then the term “envy”, and secondly, it is never constructive.
I wrote below about the sarcastic overtones of the original comment, but for some reason the post was cut.
Responding to the comment that was cut, grandfathers often flash here, pushing passages about capitalists and the decay of everything and everyone, so it is sometimes difficult to understand where the sarcasm is)
Good reason, by the way.
Well, after all, all the optical glass of the world has not gone to these lenses, do you have anything to shoot? And okay, the main thing is your photos, not other people's purchases.
It's a pity that Helios can't be sold for that kind of money
Collectible BC can be more expensive
The brand new BTK 58/2 went to the Ibei for $ 700, as I remember. So somehow sluggish)
Bought a couple of months ago Chinese Fujian CCTV 25mm F1.4 (does not cover APS-C, but this is its plus) and 35mm F1.7 (new version, covers APS-C), all new together for $ 28 for my Fujifilm X -E2s. Now I'm going to buy a Ttartisan 50mm F1.2 for $ 90, which, as one observer on the internet (Rishard Wong) clearly shows, almost surpassed the Leica Summilux 50 / 1.4 in optical performance, oddly enough, but in chromatic aberrations on the open surpassed, in sharpness on the open, he also turned out to be ahead, I recommend looking at his review. There are such super expensive lenses for even more super expensive cameras, but there is very little breakthrough in super high-quality photographs obtained with their help.
But they are not taken for photos, but for status - there is a status, there are no photos.
Someone may take it for status, but most love the watering can for its warm lamp colors.
Leica is not about the CIS in general. If we take the prices of the M10 camera, then this is about 2-3 average salaries in a rich country, or just half a good one. That is, everything is just a good camera made for wealthy people. Your segment. I once thought that it was expensive, why is it needed, what is the difference. I tried a lot of cameras and nowhere did I like colors without additional processing. But in the end I decided to try the m10-r. It turned out to be the only camera that completely satisfied me with the colors out of the box. I pressed a button, received a frame of no processing and everything suits you. I’m ready for this and pay twice as much. By the way, this applies only to m systems, I also have a Q, and SL2. The SL2 is completely disappointed - a heavy, slow camera that takes a long time to get used to.
But emka is a song. It weighs a little, the result is pleasing, what else is needed. In general, everything is learned in comparison :)
You write that the color is flawless only in the M series. Do you think this is the merit of the chamber filling, optics or all together?
I tend to lean more towards a combination of factors. And the optics are good and the stuffing and the firmware did a good job.
For example, the Q watering can, it also has good optics, but the colors are not the same, although they are also pleasant.
Here https://lfi-online.de/ceemes/en/gallery/ you can visually look at different watering cans, there is a separate section under M.
But in fact, one cannot say that it is here that the color is impeccable, it's all a matter of taste :) Before I came to the m series, I probably went through 15 cameras :)
I also have a Fuji GFX50 and a GFX 100 and the colors are very nice there too. But there are significant drawbacks as for me - the large weight of the cameras, the aperture ratio is not the same for the evening time and, all the same, they are somewhat slow in focus.
According to your logic, apparently, Ferraris are bought to get to work / store / summer cottage faster, but no - it doesn't come out faster, just wasted money.
