Notethat the TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 lens is available with different mounts. This review shows the TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 version for Sony E mirrorless cameras with APS-C sensor. At the same time, the TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 is also available with Canon EF-M, Fujifilm X, Nikon Z, Leica L and Micro 4/3 mounts.

It's important: This lens should not be confused with the model TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 DJ-OPTICAL ASPH (for Leica M-mount, Full Frame, M35mm f1.4 version).

TTArtisan DJ-OPTICAL 35 / 1.4

TTArtisan DJ-OPTICAL 35 / 1.4

In short

TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 is a modern high-aperture lens for cropped mirrorless cameras with manual focus. One of the most compact, fast and inexpensive similar fixtures for cameras with an APS-C sensor.

35mm is a very convenient focal length that allows the TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 to be used as a standard lens for a wide variety of photographic tasks.

TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 is interesting for its low price, high-quality assembly and a maximum relative aperture of 1: 1.4. Optically has problems, but in general should fully satisfy all the needs of amateur photographers.

Prior to the release of TTArtisan 35 / 1.4, all lenses from TTArtisan were premium solutions and were produced mainly for Leica M mount. One of the most famous lenses of this brand is TTArtisan 50 / 0.95, which is available in black and silver as well as'Silver Black'and'Red Ox 2021 Limited'. It is rather strange to see the appearance of budget lenses from TTArtisan for crop cameras.

TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 is a super-budget replacement for autofocus cropped lenses for mirrorless cameras:

History

TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 was officially presented 6 September 2020 and became the first lens from TTArtisan for cropped mirrorless cameras. UPDATED: TTArtisan 12 / 2021 was released on April 35, 1.4 in a silver color.

Prior to this, TTArtisan produced only full-frame optics (see the list in the section below).

A little later, on December 18, 2020, there was submitted another lens for cropped mirrorless cameras - TTArtisan DJ-OPTICAL 50 / 1.2.

May 31, 2021 was presented TTArtisan 17mm F / 1.4 DJ-OPTICAL ASPH, which formed a trio of lenses for cameras with an APS-C sensor for all occasions (there will be a set EGF 24, 50 and 75 mm).

F / 1.4 is 2/3 stops brighter than the more common F / 1.8 on many other similar lenses, such as the original lens Sony 35mm F / 1.8 OSS... Moreover, the original Sony 35mm F / 1.8 OSS It has price tag around $ 500.

TTArtisan DJ-OPTICAL 35 / 1.4

TTArtisan DJ-OPTICAL 35 / 1.4

Assembly

The lens came to the review completely new, in its original original packaging. The box contains only the lens itself with front and back covers and a short instruction. The manual is in Chinese only, there is a warranty sheet at the end. The box that the lens comes in is pretty stylish. The lens in the box is securely mounted with two foam inserts.

The front cover is metal, without latches. The cover is screwed into the thread of the front filter. This method of installing the front protective cover is inconvenient.

Overall, the lens is well assembled. TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 has bayonet mount metal and the lens body itself and the front cover are completely made of metal, using anodized aluminum.

The weight of the TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 lens itself is only 180 grams. In the hands, the lens feels like a solid and high-quality thing.

The diameter of the filters is only 39 mm, which is a record-low value for this kind of lenses.

The design is nice, and the lens itself is very compact, ideal for small Sony cameras with an APS-C sensor.

Out of the ordinary: On the lens barrel (on the smooth part of the focusing ring) its optical scheme is drawn, which I have never seen before. On the opposite side of the diagram, there is the inscription 'TTArtisan' on the lens. During the rotation of the focusing ring, this inscription does not fit into the place of the diagram, it seems that it was applied in the wrong place. This is due to the fact that the focusing ring rotates not 180 degrees, but 135 degrees.

UPDATE: Most likely the design of the TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 was inspired by the lens Voigtlander Heliar 50 / 3.5.

On the network, I met TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 without a drawing of the optical circuit, instead of it there was strange inscription 'vn || vr'... Who can tell what it is? Please unsubscribe in the comments.

Diaphragm consists of ten petals and always forms a fairly round hole. The petals are matte. The diaphragm can only be controlled manually using a special ring. The diaphragm ring rotates with clicks... There are different gaps between the pairs of f-numbers, which is not very convenient. F / 4, 5.6, 8, 16 are piled up.

It's important: aperture control ring is located from the front of the lensbehind the focus ring. This arrangement of the diaphragm ring is quite convenient. There is no problem to accidentally touch the aperture control ring during focusing and knock out the set aperture value.

There is no F / 11 on the aperture ring (and there is no intermediate value between F / 8-F / 16), while there is a notch for F / 11 on the DOF scale. The DOF scale is stepped (values are on the thick part of the body frame, and the lines are on the narrow part of the body frame).

TTArtisan DJ-OPTICAL 35 / 1.4

TTArtisan DJ-OPTICAL 35 / 1.4

Focusing

The focusing ring is narrow, metal, ribbed. The focus ring is close enough to the lens mount. The ring spins on 135 degrees (3/8 of a full turn). Focusing is smooth and enjoyable.

It's important: The metal ribs of the narrow focusing ring rub on your fingers with prolonged use. It was most convenient for me to use the lens with gloves.

During focusing, the trunk of the lens runs forward but does not spin. During focusing, the entire lens block moves.

On the ring there is a scale with a focusing distance, but only in meters. There is a depth of field scale. The minimum focusing distance is only 28 centimeters, and the maximum magnification ratio is approximately 1: 6, which is very good for this kind of lens.

The TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 has a slight 'Focus Breathing' effect (changing the angle of view while focusing). When focusing towards the MDF, the angle of view decreases.

Focus Shift (change in focusing distance due to aperture) is missing.

Have a hard stop (hard infinity mechanical stop) for fast and accurate focusing in all temperature conditions

Focus picking with TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 and Sony a3500 works well at F / 1.4.

TTArtisan DJ-OPTICAL 35 / 1.4

TTArtisan DJ-OPTICAL 35 / 1.4

Image quality

As expected, the old 'Planar' type optical design does not allow the TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 to get good sharpness in the center of the frame at F / 1.4. Nevertheless, there is nothing catastrophic at F / 1.4, and for many photo tasks, sharpness at F / 1.4 will be quite enough. At the same time, the planar TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 gives its own picture. At covered apertures, the TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 easily handles a 20 megapixel APS-C sensor Sony a3500.

Sharpness

  1. F / 1.4 lens is weak in terms of resolution
  2. the situation changes significantly with aperture cover up to F / 2.0
  3. there is a slight drop in sharpness towards the edges and corners of the frame, but even in the far corners of the frame at F / 1.4 the lens holds up much better than many similar lenses
  4. good contrast
  5. severe coma

Distortion

  1. there is a small barrel-shaped distortion
  2. distortion is unified, easy to edit in the editor

Vignetting

  1. a strong vignetting on f / 1.4
  2. vignetting decreases with focus towards MDF. Most noticeable when focusing on infinity
  3. vignetting almost completely disappears at F / 4.0
  4. vignetting easily fixable in the editor

Aberration

  1. there is a noticeable amount of chromatic aberration
  2. there is a noticeable frigging (the color of contrasting elements in the out-of-focus area is purple or green)

Rest

  1. on covered apertures it is difficult to achieve a beautiful effect of a 10-ray star
  2. from bright light sources you can get a lot of glare, while they can be of enormous size (example)
  3. bokeh interesting
  4. lemons (cat's eyes) in bokeh (example)

Important: At the time of writing this review, there was no TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 profile for popular RAW converters. You can create a profile yourself or wait for its release.

TTArtisan DJ-OPTICAL 35 / 1.4

My experience

TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 is not a bad solution. During its announcement, I was sure that the old 7/6 Planar type scheme would not go far, but apparently TTArtisan tried and squeezed everything they could from this scheme. Despite some optical weaknesses, the TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 is an interesting creative lens. Attempts to guess whether it is Planar or Sonnar can be viewed here, here и here.

TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 at f / 1.4-f / 2.8 is many times better than similar 7Artisans 35mm F / 1.2.

TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 - a manual alternative to the native Sony E 35 / 1.8 OSS, as well as an alternative for many autofocus counterparts, such as Sigma C 30 / 1.4, Viltrox 33 / 1.4 и Tokina 33 / 1.4... First of all, TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 serves for creative, artistic photo tasks, and can also be used for portraits. The creative potential of the TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 is great.

Focus-picking at 1.4 is easy to navigate and much easier, for example, than with a lens 7Artisans 55 / 1.4.

I can safely recommend it to anyone looking to get an inexpensive, fast, versatile lens for their mirrorless crop camera.

Results

TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 has a good price / quality ratio. Optical has some problems, mechanical is good. For amateur photographers, it should be an excellent solution for a regular lens for every day.

10 main advantages

  1. low price tag (total about 70 dollars)
  2. maximum aperture F / 1.4 (very high aperture)
  3. convenient focal length for working on cameras with an APS-C sensor (EGF about 50 mm)
  4. good build quality: the lens barrel is completely made of metal, including a metal bayonet mount and a metal front cover
  5. smooth focus ring, 135 degree ring travel
  6. very compact dimensions, filter diameter of only 39 mm
  7. ten aperture blades
  8. unusual design, there is a depth of field scale, a focusing distance scale and even a drawing of an optical scheme
  9. small minimum focusing distance, only 28 centimeters
  10. good sharpness in the center of the frame starting from F / 2.0

10 main disadvantages

  1. narrow metal focusing ring, rubbing your fingers with prolonged use
  2. no CPU pins to form the correct EXIF
  3. there is no F / 11 value on the aperture control ring (while F / 11 is on the DOF scale). The distance scale is marked only in meters
  4. DOF scale, stepped, inconvenient for use
  5. rare thread for 39 mm light filters
  6. A threaded (non-bayonet) hood must be used, no hood included
  7. the front cover without latches, must be screwed into the thread of the front light filter, which is rather inconvenient
  8. there is no lens profile for popular RAW converters, the lens is not 'hardwired' into modern cameras
  9. the very old optical scheme of the classic Planar 7/6 is taken as a basis
  10. optical flaws inherent in such lenses: perceptible vignetting at open apertures, slight distortion, noticeable coma, glare in backlight, low sharpness at f / 1.4

Comments: 74, on the topic: Review of TTArtisan DJ-OPTICAL 35 / 1.4

  • Sergei

And at this time, the craftsmen of Industar-61 L / D are reworking a body similar in shape.
And they ennoble the pedigree nameplate.

    • Arkady Shapoval

The Chinese also do this: time, two... Here are just the I61 or its progenitor - 4 times darker than the cheap lens from this review + everyone has fifty dollars, and 35 is already more interesting, especially for crop

      • Sergei

Yes, no one argues that "Partizan with TT" will be more interesting in all plans.
Only its shape is very similar to I-61 for FED.

        • Arkady Shapoval

          yes, well noticed

  • Victor

Are all the photos with cats open?

    • Arkady Shapoval

yes, there is F / 1.4 (except for the gray cat - there is 2.0)

      • Victor

But not bad enough for a budget Chinese!

It remains for the partisans to master autofocus, and there will be excellent competition.

        • Arkady Shapoval

7Artisans и TTArtisan is asked to separate their brands and not to mix, not even list their lenses on the same list. Most likely they are bottled at the same plant, but they are a kind of competitors.

        • Hermann

Already done with autofocus: AF 27mm F2.8 APS-C for Fuji X. Costs only 12900.

          • Viktre

They did, but as you can see, almost two years have passed. And it costs only 10700.

Still in insta I was right - it was a Chinese))

    • Arkady Shapoval

      yes, planar

  • Trueash

It seems like a good lens turned out. And most importantly, there is plenty to choose from in terms of 35 mm.

    • Arkady Shapoval

yes, for a 35mm crop is an important focal point

  • B. R. P.

Quite satisfactory open sharpness. It is a bit confusing why our Chinese friends cannot make a clip cap for their lenses. And yes, cats add completeness to the review)

    • Arkady Shapoval

they can, it's so easy to create a kind of lens image

      • koba

Kill, but I think that screw caps are much more convenient to use. So I constantly carry the device in my backpack and the lid falls out all the time, the filter gets covered with dust, etc. Sometimes they get lost. By the way, you can buy ordinary ones to the threaded ones and use them together.

  • Rashit

Alone I noticed that there was almost no focus in the eyes of the kote? )

    • Arkady Shapoval

on the street I was not focusing on my eyes

  • Alexey

On the net, I met TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 without a picture of the optical scheme, instead of it there was a strange inscription 'vn || vr'. Who can tell what it is?

This is a TTartisan feature - they can engrave the customer's nickname or channel name or logo on the lens, depending on your imagination.

  • Arkady Shapoval

UPDATE: The TTArtisan 12 / 2021 version was released on April 35, 1.4 in a silver color of the case.

As far as I understand, there are no sales in Ukraine, only with Aliexpress?

    • Arkady Shapoval

      Yes

  • Alexey

I'm just a beginner, the NEX-F3, I bought this lens, compared to the whale, it's just fire. I really liked the result without flash in low light conditions. Now the question. I read your articles about speed boosters, but I didn't get it all the way. Is it possible to increase the aperture of my this lens and decrease the focal length on my camera with the help of some speed boosters or something similar?
Well, in general, how to get the maximum possible luminosity with a budget of 20k rubles.

    • Victor

There is no available opportunity to increase the aperture ratio on this lens and camera.

    • Arkady Shapoval

It won't work with this lens. It will only work with mirrored lenses. For 20k it's easier to buy a light lens right away, for example, 7Artisans 35mm F / 0.95 (or any of its clones, in the review they are all indicated), or the same TTArtisan 50mm f / 1.2, or else tested KamLan 50mm F / 1.1 Mark II

      • Rodion

Interestingly, if there was a Micra 4/3, then it turns out that you can plant a zenith 1.2 with a speed booster))))

        • Arkady Shapoval

Yes, it can even be done - Nikon F - Micro 4/3 booster

      • Alexey

That is, you need to buy a high-aperture full-frame lens of any system that is suitable for the price and put the speed booster on the sony e at 0,71 or so. I understand correctly?

        • Victor

You understand correctly, but when you see the weight / dimensions of such a bundle on your compact bzk, and most importantly, look at the image quality thereof, all the enthusiasm for experimentation will disappear.

          • Alexey

What will be wrong with the image quality? I have a dance club and 80% of the shooting conditions are either a party with light music or open air and it's always pretty dark. Moreover, the pictures with the flash lose in the atmosphere. And so more aperture, shorter shutter speed, less noise, or will there be some previously unknown trash in the quality?

            • Rodion

A speed booster can add a touch of soap, especially around the edges of the frame. But I think it's not scary for such stories. And the idea of putting a full-frame 50 / 1.2 (just look for a good one, not old stuff!) On a Nex with a booster and get like 35 / 0.9 is funny.

              • Victor

Exactly what will add a little soap to the old glass that does not shine on an open old glass (after all, inexpensive 1.2 lenses are all old), but is it meaningful to hide behind?

In addition, there is a suspicion that the price of a normal 50 / 1.2 specimen and a high-quality booster will not please the client :)

              • Rodion

But dreaming on the couch is fun

          • Alexey

I am considering the new Chinese, not the old Soviet. The quality of the manual lens bought for 5300r in the comments to the review of which we are talking is quite satisfactory to me. It was delivered to replace the whale 18-55 3,5 / 5,6, and every ruble out of its 5300 he works out and adds more to the top)).
If you take a full-frame manual analogue and a speedbooster from the same Ali for 5tr and that's it, the problems will be limited to some little soap in the corners, and the aperture will be 0,9 + - then I think it's worth it.

            • Victor

Well, if it's worth it, then take it.

            • Arkady Shapoval

And what, the Chinese make cheap 1.2 (or more) for full-frame SLR systems? (the answer is no, they don't, they all switched to the BZK)

        • Arkady Shapoval

          Yes

          • Alexey

            I still can't calm down))
If you take zenitar 1.2 / 50s under nikon F (new) and add it through this speedbooster https://aliexpress.ru/item/32856392133.html Am I going to get my unhealthy coveted 1,2x0,71 = 0,852 or so?

            • Sergei

This is exactly the kind of speedbooster that I use on the nex-6, Nikon 50 f / 1.8D lens, through the speedbooster field of view as 35mm on the crop. Sometimes I put MC Jupiter-37AM. As for the decline in quality, this is a controversial and subjective issue. Of course, it also decreases, since the extra glass in the optical scheme is clearly not good. But the decrease is not critical and I don't even know how noticeable. I would recommend getting a speedbooster (especially if you have nikon lenses (in this case).

              • Victor

In this case, we are considering buying a lens for a crop-nikon. Jupiter and Nikkor 50 1.8 - full frame, everything is ok with them.

          • Alexey

Well, that is, I understand that it already fits my matrix size and I will get vignetting, but will the aperture increase? Center of the frame + -fit will be?
And if not the zenith, then advise something from the old or new high-aperture, what you can buy new or used up to 20k and what will fit this wishlist of mine.
By the way, as a beginner, I will note that the articles on the site are top. More succinctly and understandably, I have not met in the open.

            • Victor

Luminosity will increase of course, but it will cover a smaller frame size, and there is zero point zero point in such a measurement.

At the same size of the matrix, you will not win in ISO, nor in DOF. Not with anything.

              • Victor

                Measurement = replacement.

              • Alexey

So, well, let's say I'm photographing a couple dancing salsa on the street under the light of a pair of yellow lanterns. Salsa is fast. I also need natural light, surroundings, everything, a short shutter speed and little noise. If my center of the frame receives twice as much light as it receives on Artisan 1,4, it will be just wonderful. I will cut off the excess. These photos are taken so that we can put them in VK and instu, and people drag them along the walls with our logo and rejoice. Which is what they do.
It looks something like this. One album from the open, the other from the party.
                https://vk.com/album-100597708_279456465
                https://vk.com/album-100597708_279457056
It's a pity there is no example of how bad everything will be with my idea.
Will the center of the frame get two or so?

              • Alexey

There is twice as much light.

              • Victor

“Light in the sense of twice as much”, but only half as much on the area, yes.

There will be a gain only if the lens initially covered the frame area noticeably larger than 23x15

      • Alexey

7Artisans 35mm f / 0.95 from your review, there is a feeling that this lens does not have any noticeable advantages over my TTArtisan 35 / 1.4 in terms of aperture.

    • Alexey

So, I bought Canon FL 58 1.2 It ended up in the same area of the city with me, so the previous owner also used it for nex, so fate. Now buy an adapter from fl to es, then a speedbooster from ES to sony e and sign off on the results. What will the calculated aperture 0,85 give me or not?

      • Victor

Oh, to the madness of the brave we sing a song :-)

It remains to remember that fd needs either to be altered for compatibility with ef, or to say goodbye to infinity (necessary for business), or to use a lens adapter that will poker the already not so hot sharpness on the open and reduce the aperture))) And this is even if you're lucky with gluing in the lens ... Hmm) In general, good luck)

        • Alexey

Something on Ali with FL seems to be lens. Some kind of glass is shorter there. Well, yes, + two glasses in the circuit. If not satisfied, I will sell. The beast is rare. The previous owner took it from an auction in Japan, sent it for cleaning, but the cleaning is in fact so-so. In any case, once it was scratched, it was necessary to scratch it. In a month we will find out how it is. I have a full-frame abundance with an aperture of 1.2 or more for reasonable money, something I have not seen on sale at all. And here in my city and in my area, less than 20 bargained, fate. I will hardly use infinity on it.

        • Alexey

So, I just took the speedbooster from the mail and screwed the FL to the Sony Nex F3. I compared it with the fresh 17 mm TTartisan 1,4, it would be more correct to compare it with the 35mm from the review, but it is not at hand anywhere else. I can't say that from the camera's screen I see a big difference, the focal lengths are too different, the FL 1.2 has a native 58, with a speedbooster * 0,72, nevertheless it is large. But the fotik sees the difference. Measured against a white background in S mode and auto ISO. Where is the Chinese at different shutter speeds ISO 320-400-500 at FL 250-320-400, if it is darker then the Chinese respectively 2500-3200-3200, Canon 1250-2000-2500. I'm not sure if this difference is strong, given the Chinese 1,4, and the Canon 1,2 is full-frame with a speedbooster, but it is. Later I will compare it with the lens from the review and unsubscribe.

        • Alexey

And it turned out that you do not need to install two adapters, the Chinese have a speedbooster from FL / FD to NEX. Many of them write in the reviews that it is not suitable for FL. It fits, you just need to unscrew the pin. And then insert the lens. Probably no pin was supposed to be in FL yet. Then you can either leave the hole, or plug it, or rotate the lens so that the aperture scale is on the left and then it can be screwed into place entirely, as I did. Or cut the pin to the very thread and set the lens as you like.
But the perversions continue. On Tuesday, the Olympus 0.7X Wide Conversion Lens will arrive, bought for the occasion for only 2500, new and in my city. That is, you can drop the focal length by another 0,7 times compared to the original. That is, in fact, it will be 58/2 = 29mm. And I will find out how it will affect the aperture ratio. Almost nothing, I suspect.

      • Alexey

I did not wait until Tuesday, I finally assembled this monstrous structure, who would have thought what could have gone wrong, it turned out shit)))). The image is as if it was poured with milk, and there are no complaints about the elements separately. Speedbooster lenses are wonderful. The wide-angle attachment with the 17mm 1,4 TTartisan also makes it even wider without such milk jambs. I don't know the origins of this milkiness, but the fact is obvious. Can be used for hazy / milky / artistic effects, but no more. Alas. So at the output we have a good portrait lens with aperture presumably in the area between 1,1-0,95 and EGF 62,6 and a useful wide-angle Japanese attachment. I will buy an adapter for artisans on Ali or print it on a printer and also a useful thing. Flies separately, cutlets separately, to be the most hit ... did not work)))

        • Alexey

Milk soap is on an open diaphragm. At 2 it all starts to come back to normal, and at 5,6 it is generally good. But everything was started for an open aperture of 1,2

        • Alexey

Well, some photos. Turbid two on open, clear at 5,6

          • Dmitry Kostin

“The previous owner took it from an auction in Japan, sent it out for cleaning, but the cleaning is in fact so-so. "
Are the lenses all clean or is there still “something” left?
Look at the skylight and illuminate with a flashlight.
A similar effect occurs when there is mold / mildew. When the lenses are glued, there is a similar glow, but at least there is sharpness and some kind of contrast remains.

            • Alexey

Well, the lens is not ideal, but without the widescreen splash, it gives a clear picture. As well as the patch with the Chinese lenses is also clean.

          • Victor

Alexey, I told you right away that a shnyaga will come out, it would be better to take a Chinese, you did not believe it. We got what we got.

But they have acquired their own experience, which is also valuable.

            • Alexey

I have TTartisan 1.4 17 and 35mm. Shnyaga comes out only if you screw a wide-angle attachment onto the lens with a speedbooster. Without it, we have a very interesting option, the result from which I like more than the Chinese. Yes, it can vignette more than we would like, yes, not too sharp in the open, but it allows you to reduce the ISO in low light relative to the lens from the review by half or reduce the shutter speed by half. Well, in general, the drawing is interesting.

Considering that WHAT is usually filmed by "amateurs", I do not understand the claims to quality. Complete, so to speak, compliance.

              • Alexey

I usually shoot open airs, parties and festivals in my dance club. It looks like this + - so https://vk.com/el_aliento_del_alma?z=album-100597708_279730069

              • Ivan

Alexey, I have been to Volgograd and Volzhsky. There is something to shoot in terms of landscapes. Sorry, but the dance episode was not impressive.

              • Novel

As for processing - you raised the saturation too much, completely killing the semitones. Because the maximum of semitones is in the central region of the saturation curve, when going up along it, we get a solid, when going down - b / w. You need to strive for the optimum, in some cases raising the variability so that everything looks livelier.

On the other hand, in such variegated pictures, where there is a blue sky, and greenery, and colored clothes, you need to try presets with some kind of harmonious color schemes in order to remove the number of different colors (either standard teal-orange or red- yellow-blue, or a bunch of split schemes), but at the same time increase the number of shades in each of them.

Perhaps you should have tried creating custom presets. It takes a long time, but the result is worth it. As a result, all the frames turned out to be flat, the saturated backdrop in the form of greenery and sky distracts attention more than the figures in the foreground embossed into a solid plate.

From the point of view of composition, there are no successful finds - almost all the shots are monotonous, besides, many of them can see this stupid pillar sticking out from the head, then between the pairs. Dancing is a movement, it is a couple as isolated from the background as possible, attracting attention. Since the dancers are not professional, you can play with angles - shoot from below, from above, pull the perspective, make bends, creating this movement. So far it looks not like “taking pictures”, but like “standing with the camera and periodically pressing the shutter”.

Dancing, sports, competitions are very difficult, I admit it. But there are things that are much easier to fix.

              • Victor

Half of the photos from the "dance open air" could be boldly chipped like a hell of a technical marriage.

              • Alexey

Thanks for the analysis, Roman, everything is accepted. Analysis is still better than lovers of fu-fu-fu, hands out of their ass, buy techniques and imagine themselves to be photographers ...
In fact, these pictures are intended to be a reportage. Here it is more important to catch + - decently everyone who came so that people would then be disassembled on social networks. That is, usually this is done by people themselves on a mobile, but this is still better.
I shoot in a jeep, a neural network called photolemur processes this business, and there are no tinctures in it at all. Yes, it lifts up the saturation, cuts half tones and that's all, but these bright pictures are quite popular with people, alas or not alas, but somehow so.
Here speed is important, in addition to jumping with a camera, I distribute the organizer and flyers there and communicate with people. Therefore, I took it off, rubbed it completely outright trash, threw it into the neural network, set the logo with a faststone and stuck it and laid it out. Everything is fast, batch, automatic. Better this way than nothing or on the phone.
I do not plan to master RAW and lightroom in the near future. Well, maybe if it’s completely unbearable to buy it instead of NEX F3 a6500, then maybe I’ll go.
I will experiment with angles as much as I can.
Thank you all for your attention.

Alexey from 3. 07. You can build a frame on your phone. Very much. I think people will like beautifully composed shots even more. Lightroom will not help with this. Regards)

In 2022, the Chinese began to report (when ordering from the official store on Ali) a classic lid with latches and even a metal hood (which, however, is incompatible with either the old or the new lids). Well, a branded microfiber cloth.
