Comments: 26, on the topic: Announcement: 7Artisans 1: 5.6 / 35 wen

  • Rodion

Well :) And you say: Shvabe is expensive!)

    • Victor

This is different. If a lens for a watering can cost less than a bodycap from Olympus (and 7artisan is usually cheaper), guys - friends with watering cans would have laughed))) I think it's strange that not all 500 dollars are declared)))

      • Rodion

This is different. It is necessary to understand already that the Leica M is simply one of the most versatile optics mounts for UPC. This is essentially a replacement for the good old M39 threaded mount. 7artisans make many lenses specifically for this bayonet, and only reasonably believing that it is easier for a user to buy an adapter for other systems than to pay for an extension by a Chinese manufacturer of the number of versions of a lens that differs only in the back.

        • York

          Plus

Mirror time is still-for-now gone, with cross-pollination on the BZ everything is really bad, so here at least some possibility of universalization appears.

One hell, the glasses are completely manual.

  • B. R. P.

This is exactly what the Leica M system lacked! Chinese "cap"!

  • Borman

    7Artisans reimagines Olympus 9mm f / 8 lens cap)

  • Seladir

An ideal lens for followers of the paradigm “there is no sun and there is sun - apertures 5 and 6!”.

    • Trueash

And purkuya and not na? For the street - the most tsimes!

  • koba

very interesting - 5 elements in 4 groups, including 2 HR LD - and this is in a fixed aperture fix. There must be something unique. Let's see, I think that all and sundry will test it. Isn't this the point of releasing such a lens, I must say, really very unique and beautiful?

    • Rodion

I don't see anything particularly unique. All these HR LDs are more of a marketing move, since we don't even know how High this Refraction (index) is and how Low this Dispersion is. It may easily turn out that the glass is close in its parameters to some Soviet STK-6 (I said this at random now), on which they simply did not guess to hang a label.

Here the application of the ED or FLD mark really does imply something interesting. For example, in astrophotography, the so-called. superachromats are ordinary doublets, but with ED glass. The result is that the CA correction is better than that of conventional achromats, with a luminosity 2-3 times greater (up to F / 4).

    • Rodion

As for the optical scheme, this is the successor to the triplet, produced under different brands: Geliar (meyer), Hector (leitz) by various manufacturers in different years. This scheme was very popular for macro lenses.
The final objective lens, the negative meniscus, is used to correct vignetting. This component is found on almost all mirrorless short throw lenses. For example, in 7artisans 50 / 1.1, which is Sonnar-like with just such a corrector in the back. Something like that, even in the Biogon 35 / 2.8 prototypes of the 1930s, is easy to see.

  • Lesha

explain to the fool why 7artisans don't make lenses for DSLRs?
I suffer / envy with my canon crop

    • Rodion

Because making lenses for SLRs is expensive and difficult. If you have a crop canon, pay attention to the native 24 / 2.8 and 50 / 1.8 stm.

      • Lesha

        > expensive and difficult

well, in the world of photo there is nothing cheap at all)

        > native 24 / 2.8 and 50 / 1.8 stm

the first is, the second sold - stupidly a telescope.
there are helios for pampering with bokeshka)

but thanks anyway for the answer!

        • Seladir

          > 50 / 1.8 stm
          > stupid telescope.

Or you can learn to see the plots by mentally framing the space;)

          • Lesha

how do you learn - write, I'll wait here 👍

        • Rodion

If there is nothing cheap - why do you need 7 partisans?

          • Lesha

            > SLR lenses are expensive and difficult to make
            > If there is nothing cheap - why do you need 7 partisans?

you will decide what you are trying to ask / say)

I love the retro designs and the fact that they are manual.

            • Rodion

You wouldn't be rude to everyone. Because they themselves did not specify what exactly you are looking for.
The production of lenses for CZK at a low price and in retro design will lead to the repetition of existing old manuals - it's better not to come up with much there. And under a mirror crop (which, according to some, is also dying out), this is quite difficult to do due to the fact that the required focal segment is almost twice the linear size of the matrix. Those. the resulting lenses will be massive and expensive, or massive and low-quality, no better than those already available in terms of price and quality. Since the consumer of crop-CZK usually does not have a lot of funds, he will rarely buy expensive crop-lenses. So they don't, since there is no demand. Thank you for at least Canon has a pancake. Other systems do not have this either.

And the important thing is that fundamentally new branches in the design of inexpensive manual lenses appeared precisely with the development of mirrorless cameras. Patents and all that - the field was relatively unplowed.

  • cvlad

And where is this miracle from 5.6 to 35mm?

    • Michael

      on a watering can)

    • Trueash

For example, for me a fujik, which with a 27 mm pancake fits in a jacket pocket. For me 27 mm is too wide, and 35 would be just right. Moreover, this lens is even thinner.

  • Michael

Give Smena-8M! Forward! Back to the film! Three cuvettes for each photographer! Photobrom is our everything !!!

I don't understand this. Some kind of degradation.

You can throw your slippers - I don't care.

  • Andrew

Tomorrow I will test on m9 and monochrome ...
