Log is also paid, but this is normal, but castration of the video in the six is a fail (
And why then high-speed cards, if RAW is written only outside.

  • notapic

Excellent, against the background of the release of Z6-II, I will buy myself a Z6 cheaper. Or not)

    • Hairy mirror

Well, now it makes sense to buy the Z6 only because of the very good discounts.

  • varezhkin

norms baht. the pen was done ...

    • Ivan

What's normal there? They did, but did not finish. It seems that two years ago Nikon made the BZK system in a hurry, trying to jump into the last car of the departing train. The system was ill-conceived, after many complaints they "blinded" the battery handle without control. Now we have done some work on the mistakes, but still we made a pen as on early DSLRs - with a contact group inside the battery compartment. And instead of taking the experience already gained with the latest generation of DSLRs and bringing the contacts to the bottom of the camera in order to use the third battery inside the camera itself, they again repeat what they have already gone through. It was as if the development team had completely changed and new people came to the UPC.

      • Hairy mirror

And for this poker, they still want 400 bucks)

      • Hairy mirror

There are no complaints about engineers, they do their job well, but what do marketers smoke there? To whom it was easy to fool around, almost everyone is filmed on the phone now, but enthusiasts and even more so professionals cannot be fooled just like that.

      • Jury

Nikon, in the latest generation of DSLRs, had 2 batteries in the batblock? I always thought I was alone and alone in the cell. And charging the battery that is in the camera is still a pleasure - you have to remove the butblock every time. The batblock from the latest DSLRs is valuable for the ability to install a battery from top DSLRs, plus a small native one in the camera. Batblocks in old Nikons, with a contact group inside the battery compartment, were more convenient when it comes to working only with native batteries.

I have a d850, I don’t want to buy a Nikon mirrorless camera because of the available lenses. not impressive looking at the competitors of Canon and Sony, I will sit at 850 for how long it will last, and there it is very likely I will change the system if Nikon continues in the same spirit

What's wrong with Canon and Sony?

      • Ivan

If you can translate from English, here is Ken Rockwell's view of the Z system compared to Canon and Sony:
Sadly the model numbers imply same old, same old, with some minor tweaks and refinements. Nikon has finally gotten behind Canon and Sony and instead of envisioning new model numbers each time, simply “marking” next year's models.

If these are landmark cameras that should be called Z9 and Z3 that run at 24 FPS at 55 MP and have superb autofocus to go with that (the Z7 and Z6 have crummy autofocus as I documented two years ago), I'll raise my eyebrows , but if it's just minor firmware tweaks, it even more solidly supports most people's feelings that Canon has won the mirrorless race.

Canon came out on top back in 2018, and with July's introduction of the world's best EOS R5 and R6 and innovative lenses like the new 100-500mm, 600mm and 800mm unmatched anywhere, my very clear crystal ball says it's going to be Canon in the lead for quite a few years.

Sony lacks the ergonomics and vivid colors, Nikon no longer has the resources and support to keep up, and Fujifilm doesn't even make full-frame cameras, while Canon's mirrorless system already has the most innovative lenses and the best, fastest and least- expensive full-frame mirrorless cameras.

I've been doing this a very long time, and see when one maker has both the resources and intelligence to have the best products today, and the brightest future. I'd be very careful before sinking any more money into Nikon's system - it's not 1979 anymore. I get tired of fielding all the technical support calls that Nikon can't solve and how ticked I am that Nikon's sloppy system with numerous technical incompatibilities means that half my lenses won't autofocus on the FTZ - while every one of my Canon EF lenses work flawlessly on their EF to RF adapters, especially my 50mm f / 1.0L and 300mm f / 2.8L, both of which came out in the 1980s.

This is why Nikon released the model numbers of these new cameras early, with out any other details. So many people are upgrading to Canon that Nikon is trying to delay some of you old-time Nikon shooters (like me) before you upgrade, hoping maybe you'll hold off in a blind hope that Nikon miraculously has something that leads the industry, rather than something that just gets a little closer to the leaders.

Show me under $ 1,000 or more than 20 FPS or more than 45 MP, or go home.

We'll see. I'm more excited about the Z5, which has the newer, better controls of the Z50 and a great price. Another mystery is why didn't Nikon call these the Z7s and Z6s, which has been their naming convention for many, many decades for newer models. That certainly would have been classier, especially to Nikon old-timers, who are most of whom buys the Z system.

I don't remember addressing a question to Ken Rockwell.

        • Arkady Shapoval

Whatever Ken writes, all of his reviews still end up with Nikon ads. As well as the new Nikon Z20 II review that came out 7 minutes ago. And there is also a completely opposite line of the Communist Party, for example, “Nikon vs. Sony Mirrorless -> Huge advantages of Nikon mirrorless over Sony are… ”.

    • Maksim

So 850 is a good camera. You can not switch from it for a long time.

  • @ Lex

I can `t get it. One site indicates that 4k60 will be with ff, the other that in dx mode.

    • Arkady Shapoval

60p only in crop (DX) and only with firmware due in 2021

  • Dmitriy

This camera is bad… .this camera is nothing at all… ..that's me, pure neighing at the commentators.

  • Sam

    Hey.
I sold a Nikon D750, bought a Nikon Z6 II and I am happy with “how .. he”. The main differences are in speed, handling and weight. Nikon Z6 II is better, faster, pleasant and comfortable to operate. And the quality of the picture depends on the photographic art of the owner of the cameras. This is my personal opinion, I don’t regret the money spent.
    Sincerely. CAM.

    • BB

And how much did the upgrade cost? How much did the D750 sell for?

      • SAM

Sold Nikon D750 with “mileage” approx. 36 shots in January 000 for 2021 rubles.

  • SAM

By the way, for a long time already, except for beginners, no one “looks” at Rockwell as an expert.
Everything that he “paints” and brings to the reader an expert examination is difficult to call, everything is good and smooth with him. To put it mildly, Rockwell praises any photographic equipment presented to him as standard and tries not to offend any of the manufacturers.
Take care of yourself. Sincerely. CAM.

    • Aleksey68

well why. he has a lot of reviews of old cameras and old glasses. and, in general, everything is quite objective. in any case, my data on some glasses coincide with his.

  • Alexander

On the Internet, used cameras appeared in the trash, apparently dead, with low mileage. In this regard, the question arose: have they really learned to twist? Is it possible to find out the actual mileage?

    • Rodion

They filmed a video on them. So it turns out that the shutter speed is non-existent, and the camera is used.

    • Dmitry Kostin

I recently saw a Z6 II on Avito in apparently very good condition, but with a non-working mechanical shutter and a mileage of... 1,5 million frames.

      • Viktre

Even if you take the camera at the very beginning of sales, this is about 2000 frames per day without weekends and holidays?)) Overkill, quiet)

        • Dmitry Kostin

I was surprised myself. Maybe the frame counter also counts the shot video? If so, then such a mileage is understandable.

        • Rodion

Maybe it's a matter of high-speed burst shooting?

      • Vlad

Maybe a lot of time-lapses were shot on this camera, with time-lapses the number of frames is large

  • Lyudmila

    Hello.
I was faced with the choice of a Nikon camera. The country of origin is China, Thailand, Malaysia - the sellers answer….
What is the difference, are there any advantages, which manufacturer is better to choose?

    • Dmitry Kostin

If you are talking about the Z6, then the country of origin is Thailand
      Made in Thailand
Until recently, some Nikon cameras (mainly cameras for professionals) were also produced in Japan.
There are no questions about the Japanese assembly.
