Material prepared Arkady Shapoval.
MDF is too big. In my experience with the 1.4 / 85 planar - even a meter is too much.
Good should be 85 cm or less
Milvus, who replaced him, has 0,8m mdf - enough for the largest portraits.
Apparently, Samyang rightly decided that at such a distance with such a diaphragm, only the stamen and the pistil would be able to be removed openly, and for a full macro there are macro lenses. And the support of a close MDF is an extra move of the helicoid (and significant), which is better to use for more accurate focusing at more “portrait” distances.
Where did this mod come from for modern manual lenses?
She did not pass. And actively supported by videographers. Samyang created a worthy alternative to dear Zeiss.
The pressing question: where is the picture better and less overexposure, Samyang 85mm f1.8 or Viltrox 85mm f1.8?
Knowledgeable people - tell me!
Vitayu, shanoy spadarstva!
Friends, who knows. Is there any difference from the first version. In addition to switching aperture to stepless mode and appearance?
