In short
IMADO. AUTO TELE PHOTO MC 1: 2.8 f = 135mm - inexpensive high-aperture short telephoto lens with manual focus, developed for film cameras, manufactured in Korea. A rather little-known model. The review shows a Nikon F-mount, AI-type lens.
IMADO. AUTO TELE PHOTO MC 1: 2.8 f = 135mm inexpensive, can serve as a good solution for creative shooting.
IMADO. AUTO TELE PHOTO MC 1: 2.8 f = 135mm is well assembled, has a special macro mode with a maximum magnification ratio of 1: 5. The image quality does not shine with anything special, in general, it is similar to other little-known inexpensive 135s.

Using the iris control ring, you can set one intermediate value between pairs of numbers (except between F / 2.8 and F / 4, as well as between F / 16 and F / 22) At F / 4, the aperture has small notches. At other values, the hole takes the form of a regular hexagon. On strongly covered diaphragms it is very easy to achieve the effect of a 6-ray star from bright light sources. |

IMADO. AUTO TELE PHOTO MC 1: 2.8 f = 135mm is AI compatible lens and can be easily installed on any Nikon digital SLR camera with F mount, as well as on any digital mirrorless camera with Z mount, but in the latter case you will need the original Nikon FTZ adapter.
Assembly, control, focus
The lens that I visited on the review is well preserved, its body It is made qualitatively. The focus ring has a wide anti-slip insert made of hard rubber or similar material.
The diaphragm consists of only six blades. On F / 2.8 it is seen that the aperture blades are not fully open.
IMADO. AUTO TELE PHOTO MC 1: 2.8 f = 135mm uses small filters with a diameter of 52 mm.
Focus ring IMADO. AUTO TELE PHOTO MC 1: 2.8 f = 135mm rotates approximately 270 degrees... During focusing, the lens trunk extends forward but does not rotate. Focusing occurs due to the movement of the entire lens unit. Rotation of the focusing ring is very smooth and pleasant, with an 'oil' stroke, you can focus with one finger. The lens is very pleasant to work with.
The lens has Macro Special Macro Zone. To enable it, you must set the minimum focusing distance equal to 1.5 meters using the main focus ring. Then rotate the front of the frame. The frame rotates very easily and exposes the scale with magnification factors. This method is not very well implemented, and the maximum magnification ratio is only 1: 5, which is a mediocre value.
On the case there is a focus distance scale, a depth of field scale and a mark for working in the infrared spectrum.
How to use Nikon manual lenses (such as this one without CPU and with manual focus) on any modern Nikon interchangeable lens digital camera described in the section 'manual optics'.
Image quality
IMADO. AUTO TELE PHOTO MC 1: 2.8 f = 135mm produces good image quality, especially considering that this is an old 'no name' lens of unknown origin. Moderate sharpness in the center of the frame at F / 2.8, moderate vignetting. Sharpness at closed apertures. But there are problems with chromatic aberrations, especially at F / 2.8.
It is advisable to use the lens with a hood. The owner supplied this lens with a rubber hood that screwed into the thread of the front filter, but I didn't use it to see how the lens behaves in a 'clean' state. After working with the lens, it became obvious that it is still better to use this lens with a hood, since it can catch very serious flares in the backlight and side light (see examples of photos).

My experience
IMADO. AUTO TELE PHOTO MC 1: 2.8 f = 135mm is another budget 135-piece, quite suitable for its intended use, at the same time there is no special zest in it. Personally, I liked the smooth focusing, which becomes super-smooth in the sun (apparently the lubricant becomes more fluid from the high temperature). It is a pity that at F / 2.8 the aperture blades are not fully open and do not form a perfectly flat aperture. It is not known whether this is a disease of this particular instance or all the lenses of this model. At F / 2.8, lemon appears in the bokeh. The macro mode is implemented strangely and not very convenient.
I love similar lenses with automatic iris, for example, the same classic and popular Jupiter-37A 135 / 3.5 more interesting in the picture, but it does not have automatic iris for Nikon F.
It's very rare to find something really interesting under a 'no-name' (lens without a recognizable name / brand). IMADO. AUTO TELE PHOTO MC 1: 2.8 f = 135mm was another attempt at finding a gem among Korean products.

I had an IMADO in the mid-90s ... but not this one, but 28 / 2.8 and, also under Nikon ... worked decently, although the aperture blades, being always absolutely dry, returned to their original position with some slowdown ...
