  • @ Lex

What kind of fr is this?) Where did they get it from?

    • Arkady Shapoval

As a joke: apparently they are cosplaying Carl Zeiss Biotar 75 / 1.5 (on the basis of which the “Legendary” Gelik 85 / 1.5 was made)

    • Onotole

This is especially for those who are used to using fifty dollars on a crop)))

    • B. R. P.

      Olik has 75 1,8)

    • Michael

This is for those who want a watering can, but no money =)

  • Dmitriy

Available portrait on sony aps-c. It is a pity that there is no such thing on nikon F.

    • Arkady Shapoval

He is an affordable portrait and on Sony FE (full frame)

    • Alexey

What does not suit 85 1.4?

      • Arkady Shapoval

AF Samyang 85 1.4 for Sony FE costs about $ 700, this one is almost 2 times cheaper.

        • Alexey

I answered about nikon. and there are many used

  • Dmitriy

I understand that the lens is full-frame. I wrote about crop because it is not fifty dollars, but also shorter than 85 matches.

    • Michael

And I like it more than 85mm, since it’s sometimes difficult to photograph on a 85-ku, and 50mm is already wide.

    • Michael

In addition, it is very light, they would have released another reincarnation of the Sony a7 mark 1 with an updated matrix and would have left the same weight of 475g - it would have been a gorgeous kit =)

Interesting. A couple of years ago I read an article on some English-language site. The author prayed tearfully to release just such a lens, fast aperture with a focal length between a fifty-fifty and an 85th. In the comments, of course, they immediately advised him to just buy a crop, or Pentax, where there is 77 / 1.8.

Now this man’s dream has come true. The question remains, why.

    • Arkady Shapoval

      There were autofocus 58 / 1.4, 60 / 2.8, 70 / 2.8, 80 / 2.8

    • Maksim

      To someone like you asked.

  • Not a bot

that's cool! cheap full frame portrait on sony.

  • koba

Generally speaking, Samyang has not produced frankly bad lenses for a long time, and some of them are simply excellent, for example the 85 / 1.2, which easily bypasses all sorts of canons ... Apparently this one will also be an excellent lens, in the tele range they have almost all lenses excellent.

Good day! I want to share my impression. I don’t know how 75 1.8, I don’t have it, I have 45mm 1.8, they came out at the same time and most likely will be similar. So, when buying a 45mm, the 2nd firmware was installed, the lens was quite sharp (when it hit the sharpness it was like a tamron 28-75mm rxd), a fairly fast focus, but it often smeared and sometimes whirled, as if you were shooting in the dark. I was already thinking about selling it, but I decided to update the firmware ... Now this is a super lens, all the sores are gone, very sharp, fast, light and cheap! Now I have completely changed my opinion about this manufacturers. Maybe this information will be useful to someone.
