Generally speaking, Samyang has not produced frankly bad lenses for a long time, and some of them are simply excellent, for example the 85 / 1.2, which easily bypasses all sorts of canons ... Apparently this one will also be an excellent lens, in the tele range they have almost all lenses excellent.
Good day! I want to share my impression. I don’t know how 75 1.8, I don’t have it, I have 45mm 1.8, they came out at the same time and most likely will be similar. So, when buying a 45mm, the 2nd firmware was installed, the lens was quite sharp (when it hit the sharpness it was like a tamron 28-75mm rxd), a fairly fast focus, but it often smeared and sometimes whirled, as if you were shooting in the dark. I was already thinking about selling it, but I decided to update the firmware ... Now this is a super lens, all the sores are gone, very sharp, fast, light and cheap! Now I have completely changed my opinion about this manufacturers. Maybe this information will be useful to someone.

What they have in common:

For now I've only got the 45/1,8 (I have the beloved Sigma 35/1,4 Art and the Wiltrox 85/1,8 - both are great, before this I had many different lenses, this one suits everyone).
BUT the weight and dimensions, these three babies weigh less than the Sigma and are smaller in volume. The Sigma and Viltrox are optically magnificent, they look impressive, but I only take them for photo shoots. It is very difficult to take them for a walk or on a trip. And these shoot no worse, but you can carry them and generally forget that you have a camera with you, it is absolutely not stressful, this is an indescribable feeling. With Sony A7C, it is generally cool. I already had Samyangs, I realized 10 years ago that the company makes things. BUT Samyang, bravo, you have attracted my attention again.
