Here a little more data is https://photorumors.com/2019/10/21/irix-cine-45mm-t1-5-lens-announced/

    • Arkady Shapoval

no, this is the CINE version, not the one announced today

      • Alexey

it was a failure while copying the link, meant it https://photorumors.com/2020/03/09/irix-45mm-f-1-4-full-frame-manual-focus-dslr-lens-officially-announced/

        • Arkady Shapoval

what is needed is not. There is no scheme, no price, no MDF. A beautiful description of what a good lens they made for all manufacturers during the announcement + is one and the same.

There is a complete description here.

            • Arkady Shapoval

yeah, only you write a comment on the announcement, which took place a year ago.

Of course, all information became known within a year. Also, you write a comment under the post for the mirror version with a link to GFX.

By the way, I was the one who sent the teaser with Irix 45 / 1.4 GFX to photorumors, and then the information spread over the network, including photar

              • Novel

But Radozhiva is still not a cake.

              • Arkady Shapoval

                by itself

  • Alexey

And here there are prices for the film version, I do not think that there will be a big difference with the photo version. https://photorumors.com/2019/10/21/irix-cine-45mm-t1-5-lens-announced/

    • Arkady Shapoval

Again, no, usually the Cine version is 2, or even more times more expensive than the usual

  • Andrew Ch.

The reprint of these 'announcements' only omits Radozhiv's site. Just a reprint from civilian resources makes you Arkady somehow bad ....
You’ve completely abandoned the site, you don’t want to do anything yourself, but only publish someone’s articles.
Maybe it's time to think twice, these just announcements come out earlier on other resources!
That Radozhiva is already dead ...?!

    • Arkady Shapoval

yes, yes, I have been hearing “not cake” for 10 years already :)

      • Ullmann

Excuses! Buy pyadvaki and tremors and where are the canon glasses on the reviews? Cat cried

    • twm

For example, it is pleasant (and convenient) for me to read the announcements on Radozhiv. "Me" - used to be a completely silent reader.

And they don't seem to interfere - no? Plus (and this minimum), Rodion took over the baton: an example is a fresh post under this announcement. And the updates from Arkady from the main one did not disappear. In addition, the YouTube channel has come to life.

And the answers, by the way: it's nice to see the site holder in the comments.

    • Arkady Shapoval

By the way, I don't reprint them, but I cook in my own style. It's not just "copy-paste", although, of course, I understand what it might seem like that :).

Just as an example from the same announcement:
Elementary updating the list of IRIX lenses is not easy, for example, Cinema 15mm is on sale, but in fact there is no such lens.
It turned out to be impossible to find the same optical scheme for this 45 / 1,4, I had to limit myself to 11/9, which I looked at in the description of the Cinema version (here the user above just confused Cinema with this). I also had to look for when all the same there was an announcement of the development of this 45 / 1.4, and it was already in 2016. This is just a line, but it takes a lot of time :). Etc. etc.

But I understand that the user / reader is always right, therefore I repent of all sins and run to correct :)

    • Roman

      Andrey, turn bags better.

  • Paul

some announcements. There are no reviews anymore.

    • Arkady Shapoval

Well, that’s not entirely true. For example, the other day a video came out for 30 minutes about Tokina, the material for which I was preparing for several days. And also yesterday (yesterday!) Came out a really very interesting review from Rodion about Workshop 50 / 2,4 with a very interesting historical component.
The only question is - what does each individual reader want :)

      • Peter Sh.

I suspect that some readers are spoiled by sites like dpreview, where a full-time team of about 10 people works. Well, where do the rivers of consumer water flow.

        • koba

dpreview, which has long been owned by Amazon, employs 22 people in the office, and up to 20 more browsers remotely. And they are constantly adding new workers, even they are a Russian programmer working there in the London office.

      • Ullmann

        Zeiss yen 35 / 2.4 ms where is the review? 20/4 20 / 2.8 and others?

        • Arkady Shapoval

About the same place as 99% of the rest of the photo equipment, you can, for example, show the same thing to the same preview, or Ken, you don’t need to do this here, moreover, do cross-sharing under different names :)

  • eugen

It is a pity that only an electronic diaphragm. Cannot be put on the bzk through a mechanical adapter like Zeiss zf-zf2. And there is no need to talk about durability - the electronics will either become outdated or break.

    • Arkady Shapoval

Since 1987, when Canon put the electromagnetic diaphragm on its lenses and the same mechanism had to be implemented by third-party manufacturers, 33 years have passed and many lenses work like clockwork. I talked with the master about the failure of the diaphragm on the lenses under Canon EOS, where it is electromagnetic by default, including those from Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, and I received the answer that this node is extremely rare and can be treated quite simply .
In general, in such a diaphragm device, only one thing scares me - a possible incompatibility with new models :( (there is already an experience of old-old Sigmas, which work on many cameras only on an open one, but give errors on a closed one)

      • Alexey

Old Sigma is relatively easy to redo and works fine on new cameras.

      • Eugen

Is it really more reliable and easier to repair than a mechanical one?

    • Roman

I have a 100-300 / 5.6L maximum of 89th year. That is, 30 years is definitely there. And nothing works.

  • Oleksandr

What did Pentax call Pentax? )

Any blog, any channel on YouTube has its own time of life, then the water begins to support the pants somehow! She was interested in the development of digital technology, when there were interesting articles on photography and equipment, when cameras cost humanly ... Now the reviews of all these lenses are all about nothing, they are all in fact the same and there is practically no visible difference in the picture so none of this is interesting! Cameras now cost so much that reviews of new cameras are not at all interesting to read, especially since cameras of the same segment still shoot the same way ... starting from 2003 and up to 2014, I bought a new camera and lenses a year later, and it happened that and once a year ... Since the release of the D7500, cameras have become just a luxury for an ordinary amateur ... In fact, this blog is no longer about anything and is no longer needed ... Only technodrochers and sofa experts read it now ... This is such an Oil Painting ...!

    • Andrew Ch.

      Everything is said right ...!

    • Arkady Shapoval

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Usually, those users who operate on similar slang, by themselves, have not gone far either in understanding photography or in understanding the same photographic technique

In vain you criticize for the announcements. Hedgehog it is clear that a person alone cannot constantly review something for you for many reasons. Yes and no obligation in general. Arkady already did a lot of useful things.
In addition, I, probably, like many here, look at dpreview and imaging resource and others, both general photo sites and individual blogs. So, in my opinion, not a single announcement from Arkady has ever been copy-paste from someone. I would even say that the announcements here are substantially fuller in terms of technical part and filed more succinctly in the case.

    • twm

      > the announcements here are much more complete on the technical side and are presented more succinctly and to the point
      Plusan.
Someone (part of the community / readers) may miss the originality of Radozhiva in the early to mid-10s - yes. But Arkady's submission of “everyday” announcements / news is far from an everyday rewriting.
And I am one of the readers to whom the announcements do not interfere.

Plus, in this “everyday life” of modern news, one day something noticeable will flicker, I'm sure. The same optics: the pursuit of clarity - a pursuit in which most leaders somehow sacrifice other important qualities - character, artistic expressiveness - this pursuit of CLARITY will be replaced by the search for those OTHER qualities.

      IMHO, but still.
I am waiting for surprising news, surprising in a good way - and from the future.

      • Arkady Shapoval

By the way, I was contacted from IRIX, consider I thank this announcement, now we decide about the review. Because this is undoubtedly a plus :)

        • Andrew Ch.

I would like to also contact Nikon, Canon ...

          • Michael

            It is unlikely

          • Arkady Shapoval

The last time they called from Nikon, they could not read the name of the site correctly :) in Ukraine, Nikon and Canon are very “poor” representations. Sony's PR is the best

            • Ivan

No wonder they could not read it correctly. If you translate Radozhiva into English transcription, then it is either Radozhiva or Radozheeva. The letter U (s) is pronounced as Yu, or U. J (jay) is also not used for F, but rather gives the sound of J.

              • koba

By the way, even the announcements on the joy show have the same side of value as the reviews, since many people express their opinions and give each other sometimes very valuable advice, and share experience, or even polemize, sometimes even passionately and not quite correctly. Arkady is doing a great and unique kind of work, so he should be thanked for this, not criticized.

  • koba

interesting, but others can’t make lenses as beautiful and functional? I saw one of the lenses of this company, and I must say in reality it looked even cooler than in the photographs. Why they did not release a 24mm lens with a normal distance scale, and not ending in 2 meters, is not clear. Nikon doesn’t have it, Kenon has it, but autofocus and expensive, although of excellent optical quality, it would be to have one of these Irix, which are very high-end lenses, and they are very well made, aimed directly at video production, and this is already implies high optical performance.

  • Skodak

It is very interesting how much it will cost.

    • Arkady Shapoval

      I guess it won't be more than $ 500

  • Paul

I don't understand why lenses are made with “manual only” focusing? First, the Nikon Noct 58mm f / 0.95 Bokeh King, now this one.

    • Michael

In order not to worry about breaking closed protocols

      • Roman

Well, Nikon, perhaps, is able in its protocols.

Autofocus lenses are expensive and difficult. Especially fast. The handles can turn at least the entire lens unit, and in the case of 0.95 it can be stressful for the engine - the lens unit is huge. On AF lenses, they try to reduce the size of the glasses for focusing - this greatly complicates the design and manufacture. With manuals, you don't have to bother and simplify the scheme - improve its optical characteristics without being distracted by AF.

        • Michael

In Nikon, most likely the flu is less than the autofocus error. Yes, and Zeiss explains his manual predilections

          • Arkady Shapoval

But back in 1987 there was autofocus 50 / 1.0, and if marketers were a little smarter, then it would be 50 / 0.95

    • Arkady Shapoval

I will reveal the secret of modern manual lenses, a whole darkness. There are many reasons. This is the status, and cheaper and lack of technology and video, and a bunch of others

  • Alexey

I would like to say a few words in support of the site. I consider him one of the best. There are reviews and announcements and articles on the technical tricks of the camera. Everything is written in a simple and understandable language. Nice to read the article. Although, sometimes I want more than some technical details, such as testing the lens for resolution, etc. But these are trifles. The perfect balance will not work to please all readers.

  • Arkady Shapoval

Thanks to this announcement appeared IRIX 150 / 2.8 review
