This picture was taken on the balcony, the temperature in the street is -15. Nikon D 3100 and Helios 44-2 camera.

      Super! Very cool!

    • Elena Belkova

Very interesting photo. I also had experience shooting soap bubbles in the winter. a lot of pleasure already from the process itself)

    • SashOK

      Wow, beautiful!

Not far from my house there was preserved a microdistrict of such two-story houses between which cozy old courtyards with tables for dominoes, housewives knocking out carpets and motorists trying to start something that was no longer destined to be found. Let’s shorten the short period of time when it’s snowing in Donetsk, I went for a photo walk and here is the result. I shot Canon EOS 80D + Canon EF 17-40mm f / 4L USM, aperture f / 5.6, shutter speed 1/160 s, ISO 200

  • Irina Kolosova

This winter did not please with sunny days. Once on such a rare sunny day, I went out into the garden hoping to find something interesting, it was the middle of the day, the light blinded my eyes. I looked at the glare of the sun on the thin snow cover, which in some places turned into an ice film. The bright reflections of the sun's rays attracted me, went to the melted ice and tried to shoot the sun's rays ... the reflection of the branches got into the lens ... that's how this photo turned out. I named it - Reflection of Winter ...

    "Winter in the window"
Photo taken from the attic window. The trees in the snow are lit by a bright sun, and in the background is a shadow from a neighboring house, which gave the sky a blue color.

On winter evenings, when I don’t really want to take pictures on the street without snow, my son and I (6 years old) experiment with the light, where he builds the composition. Canon 1000d camera with Helios 44-2. Shot on open, aperture priority. January 2020

I'm lazy too. Also view from the window. Norway is considered a country with a cold climate, but it rarely snows on the west coast, and this is an event every time.
    Shot on a Nikon D7500, 85mm 1.8G lens. Tripod shooting, shutter speed 20 seconds, aperture 1 / 6.3

January 7, 2020, ski resort Zermatt, Switzerland. Nikon F65, Yongnuo 35/2 + polarizing filter, Kodak Ektar 100.

The choice of technology is dictated by compactness. The film camera fits perfectly in the jacket pocket. This allowed to make good shots with mountains.

  • Victor

A couple of weeks ago, finally, snow fell on the street, which is extremely scarce in Moscow this winter, and I could not miss such a chance to take a small photo walk. And at the same time to test the "manual" Japanese EBC Fujinon-T 3,5 / 135 recently arrived to me in combat conditions. After taking pictures of the snowy trees, I was almost desperate to see something interesting, but then these funny birds caught my eye, which became the heroes of my little winter photo shoot.
    Image parameters: ISO 800, 1 / 200s, f / 5.6 (if I remember correctly, because the lens is manual). Camera - Sony SLT-A57.

  • Igor

The photo was taken in January 2019 at the New Year’s skating rink on the Nikon D3100 paired with Helios 44-M, an adapter without a chip and without a lens, so getting into focus in such conditions is very difficult, and this is one of the few technically successful shots.
    ISO 400.

    • Gregory

Warm winter photo. “… One of the few technically successful ones” - a lot of marriage? I have Jupiter 37 - it is also difficult to “manual” :), the green dot helps. Helios 44M without finishing to infinity, just an adapter screwed on? What “manipulations” did you perform for joining with Nikon? It is interesting to ask a practitioner.

    • Oleg

      For Nikon, the chip is not needed to confirm focus, look at the green dot in the viewfinder. If it shines steadily without blinking, then the object is in focus. If the subject is poorly lit, due to which the green blinks, but does not stabilize, there is not enough light. You can carry a flashlight with you to highlight an object (during shooting, you can turn off the flashlight if it does not fit into the idea). If it is inconvenient to simultaneously hold the flashlight and turn the focus ring, it is not necessary to turn it;

This photo was taken last spring in a place near Klenovo near Moscow. I am an amateur, I tried to make a cool shot of a type on the theme of traveling with the road. Cars do not drive there very often, so you can play a lot of poses. In general, I always liked photographs of roads, very often put them on the background image on my computer and phone, but noticed that they were made mainly in the USA, with straight and straight roads. I wanted to do something like this myself. Then, after the photo shoot, I trained to process this photo in a cinematic style on a vidosik on youtube. Actually, this is what happened. Canon 1200D Yongnuo 35mm / 2 f2.8 1/80 ISO 100.
    Criticism is welcome))

    • R'RёS,R ° F "RёR№

The processing suits me personally, but I would cut a little and move the girl to the right from the center. Looking at the girl, my gaze runs left and right, not concentrating on anything. On the right - empty, on the left a little white spot of the sky distracts. After trimming, the look from the girl looks for what is around the corner? And again he returns to the girl.
I do not insist. Maybe I'm wrong. I am also an amateur and constantly study. Here is my version of your photo. Cropped while maintaining the proportion. I also love panoramic shots.

  • Elena

There was one of those winter days when you wake up, and everything is white with white, as in a fairy tale!)) I ran to take pictures on the street. Crossing from one forest to another across the road, I caught a green truck among snowy trees.

    Winter in Yaroslavl
We had snow only in January. Finally, the ground was covered with a white fluffy carpet.
And the night sparkled with bright lights and reflections.
The photo shows a view of the Golden Ring Ferris wheel, built quite recently, in 2018. The wheel with a height of 65 meters has become one of the new attractions of our city.
In order to get the effect of a continuous ring of fire, I shot with a very long shutter speed, of course, with a tripod.

At night, the frost finally hit (-20), I know that in such cases there should be something interesting on the river, the main thing is not to be too lazy to get up early and get there). Shot on a Sony A58 + SAL1650 16-50mm f / 2,8

The photo was taken on February 1, 2019, the other day just bought a Nikon AF-S lens Nikkor 18-70mm 1: 3.5-4.5G. A friend asked to take a picture of the extract from the hospital. While waiting in the yard, I noticed a tree with yellowed but not fallen leaves. Winter, fog, a lonely tree with leaves and photoshop did their job. Not a masterpiece, but I really like it and stayed in my collection as “winter autumn”. Nikon D7100 Camera

    “… But not broken” Shot with Sony A3500 + Nikkor 70-210 4-5.6D with adapter. ISO 400 1/500 f8
This is the Odessa region and on 15.01.20 the first frost fell out. I am an analyst, and I regularly take photographs of construction objects. Taking this opportunity, I took pictures of the nature around the terminal. I wandered into a small oak planting and accidentally drew attention to this tree, while taking a couple of pictures. Further, of course, development in PS. Of course, I do not pretend to be a genius of the picture)), but I think you can take a look.

I will call the picture “Comet on Earth” as it is very similar to an icy space object on the outskirts of our solar system.

I tried in the afternoon on January 6, 2020 of this year to photograph snow and ice using a bunch of two lenses, despite the fact that the ali express canceled the delivery of macrorails (and of course no stacking focus could be done), the result was something abstract like space objects like ice asteroids and comets.

A Topman 6500-80 / 300 lens (Minolta MD bayonet) was installed on the Sony a5.6 camera through an MD-NEX adapter in the upright position, and in the reversible position through a 58 mm threaded ring a lens from a VEGA 30 UR enlarger (to make it possible to VEGE adapter ring 55 -58 mm was glued), when the diaphragm is closed on Topman, quite strong vignetting is obtained, as the diameter of the front lens of VEGA is smaller than that of Topman, but sometimes it gives an interesting effect.

The photo is unusual in its own way; I want to show it to other amateur photographers.

PS The camera, of course, was mounted on a tripod.
