I just bought Jupiter-37A, fastened it to the Canon 650D, which I had then. There was heavy snow, and I stood at a stop waiting for transport. A stop with a roof made it possible to get a camera and take a few shots. For some reason, I decided to choose this one for the contest.

Everything happened in just an hour. First hail, then huge snowflakes, and then everything died down, the sky opened and the pond turned into a fabulous lake. then the clouds came together and everything became gray and dull. A photo remained.
Looking out the window in the morning and seeing the first snow, I decided that I would not go in pairs, but I would go for a walk alone to capture this little magic. Snow fell in flakes, wrapping everything in a white dream, and I felt childishly happy in this atmosphere.
The photos were taken on October 31, 2019 on a Canon 600d with an 18-55 lens at settings: f / 4.5, 1/2500 s., ISO-400
The place in the photo is the oxbow of the Belaya River in Ufa (my favorite place in the city)

The theme of the new year and the year of the rat or mouse). Filmed in a home studio: snow from aliexpress, tree branches, toy rats. On the table and around it, branches are fixed to simulate forest trees, sprinkled with artificial snow, characters are installed (where a fire is simulated - a garland is hidden under the snow and one of its orange flashlights is hidden in the branches of the fire to create a glow from the fire, the flames themselves are "painted" ). One flash through the blue gel to the white wall to simulate the night sky, the other to the characters. As for me, it turned out atmospheric. The creation of this whole action took about 2 hours, and the photographing itself took 10 minutes. Shot with Canon eos 6dmII + canon 100 mm 2.8L macro

This year, a dozen stationary snow cannons were installed on slope No. 7! I rode in other places and almost missed them.
They look very cool and futuristic - as if they will be showered with snow and will turn on the siren if you get too close.
I chose a clear day and closer to the closure of the slopes I climbed to the top with a snowboard, outlining places for shooting.
I drove to the first gun on the board, placed a tripod with a camera on its base, took some pictures: in addition to the cannons 2, 3, 4 and 10 (working in the background), the snowmobile headlights successfully fell into the frame.
Das ist fantasticsh !!! I would have thought so if it had not been for the description. And in the background I would add a starry sky with the Big Dipper and it would be great ... IMHO ...
Winter through the eye of a needle.
“It is more convenient for a camel to go through the ears of a needle than ...” the author to win a competition with such a photo :)
But, nevertheless ... Out of a dozen quite good winter photographs, my choice fell on this one.
And I also have Christmas trees and children, snowmen, sledges, benches in snow-covered parks and ... a mess on the hard drive :) The choice was simple and obvious - the first thing that came across!
In addition, most likely and no matter how sorry it is, in the coming years in our latitudes, real winter can only be seen through the eye of a needle ...

Although I’m not a professional, I mostly shoot reports indoors.
Photos on the theme of winter, over the next two years made on the street, especially in nature, I unfortunately almost never found it. And this year in Moscow and the winter, in the usual form for us, we can say that no. But during the New Year and Christmas holidays two events coincided at once: the snow fell, and I went for a walk with the baby in our Butovo forest park. In the meantime, the baby was sleeping in a stroller, I managed to shoot the forest inhabitants with a television set. I usually do this, I take a telephoto with me for a walk with my child, and while he sleeps, I shoot a little birds, squirrels and other animals in the forest. I have practically no other opportunity to shoot not only for the soul, but for myself. But this time, lucky with the snow :)
Here is one of the photographs I took. A squirrel nibbles on seeds in Severnoye Butovo Park, Moscow.

I heartily support. And this competition is not so much for victory, but for the exchange of emotions through our photo works. And then there is not enough soulfulness on the forum. All argue about something, prove something, and give technical specifications. The main thing is that we are all united by a love of photography. And the political differences between our countries do not affect us.
