And where is the super macro (usual 1: 1)? And why is it better than Nikon 105 / 2,8D, Tamron 90 / 2,8, etc. (for comparable prices)? What is the catch of this device (except for the lack of normal shooting)?

    • Trueash

      >> And where's the super macro? - and right there on the ring indicating the scale. 5: 1, 4: 1, and so on.

      • Iskander

So after all in the description “Maximum magnification ratio 1: 1 (full-fledged 'Macro')”. Note the maximum! This is also misleading. It would be more correct to write: “Maximum magnification ratio 5: 1” (super macro).

        • Arkady Shapoval

          fixed

    • haidamac

      5: 1 same

      • Valery A.

        Sorry, I thought the opposite (1: 5).

    • York

Supermacro - on the ring. Everything is the same as the others.
1: 1 is not a super macro, it is a normal normal macro.

“And why is it better than Nikon 105 / 2,8D, Tamron 90 / 2,8” - just with this supermacro X: 1, where X> 1, and which none of the glasses you have listed has.

For Canon, this is really not very relevant, because there is MR-E (although that one is 65mm, and this one is 85, which, in theory, might be useful because of the large MDF), but for any nikon, it is quite ...

We must, of course, look at what's in real life, because all these Ketai millimeters are so Ketai.
And what will happen to the picture, will there be enough resolution for the new multi-pixel matrices ...

      • Arkady Shapoval

Here, telecentricity has to be at its best, which is good for stacking. But really, as it is in real life - no one knows yet.

      • Someone

65 is more useful than 85. Purely due to the nature of blurring the blur zone, a smoother transition, visually wider depth of field. A stacking vseravno remove corpses, well, or frozen, there the distance does not play such a big role. A flash of what is so at the level of the lens of the lens or in front.
In general, the lack of macro is 0.5-3: 1. For some reason, none of the Chinese manufacturers will do this. Infinity is not particularly needed, but the ability to put both large butterflies and small horses in the frame would not hurt.

  • koba

this Chinese company makes such good glasses that even Ken Weller himself recently recognized them as 35 / 0,95 a masterpiece ... I once said a few years ago that over time, Chinese companies will release many excellent lenses, unique ones too. And the prices will be normal. Here is another example of such lenses ... Laowa also works there. We'll see when they start releasing AF lenses for new mirrorless systems ...

    • York

I personally know exactly three people who shoot at 25 / 0.95 and 50mm f / 0.95 - one in Moscow time, one in BPC, one in Kuala.

And I do not observe anything “masterpiece” (and the owners, too, which is typical). The picture on the open one is quite peculiar, there are disadvantages, but there is also a character. Getting into focus even with picking, etc. is very difficult.
On the covered ones, there is a completely faceless glass, which loses to AF brothers at least in color.

Well, that is poltos by 0,95 is cool, and after 1,2 - 1,4 there is enough AF optics, including the native one, in which any kind of crap like XA perfectly chokes in a chamber.

      • koba

I wrote about 35 / 0.95, the rest are also good, apparently, but that, in the opinion of a person who even has more than 550 lenses in his collection (by the way, a smart person, he even knows Russian, since he worked at some institute in Russia) , is in the Major Leagues. Each manufacturer has very successful models and I just said that gradually Chinese companies are mastering the production of high-quality optics, although optical engineering in China is not a new thing ... Once everyone started, and now Chinese companies have begun and are trying to develop their products , is it bad? I will not be surprised that they will again release a version of Biotar 58 (previously it was released under various brands in China - Haiou64, etc.) with constructive innovations. It should be understood that the production of consumer lenses is not a priority for a huge country, this is the business of private companies here, without government support. Look, when something becomes the object of government support in China, it quickly becomes a worldwide hit. As an example, DJI has managed to essentially monopolize the drone market, and no one says with a smile that it is a Chinese company. If it wishes, China can in one day buy controlling shares in all Japanese manufacturers of photographic equipment, but there is no interest here, since the market is not very large and unpredictable, even for eminent brands there is cramped, and mechanical or electronic parts are still in most cases purchased from Chinese manufacturers, including optical glass for mass products, that is, Chinese companies already receive a fraction of the cost of almost all lenses in the world, without risking the latter. Some manufacturers of photographic equipment have factories in China, although some have already closed, not out of quality reasons, but simply because of the growth in the cost of labor here, they fled to the very last Asian countries (according to this indicator, of course, and not in general) - Thailand and Philippines. Sometimes I wonder how, with pride, some would-be observers note that something is not produced in China, but in Thailand, believing that by this they are praising the product. This is funny! The level of training of workers in China is several times higher than in any other country in Asia, and now in many areas and around the world, if you want and are willing to pay, here such factories can be found that will give odds to many top world factories. In short, we will wait for new and excellent lenses from Chinese manufacturers, the main thing is that they do not raise prices ...

        • Iskander

At the beginning of the last century, Japanese quality was also ridiculed in American films. The hero hits the enemy with a sword, the sword breaks, the camera zooms in on the sword, on it the inscription Made in Japan - to the wild laughter of the audience. Then they stopped laughing ...

          • Denis

            but China is not Japan

            • Valery A.

Yes, China is cooler (looking at its history, territory, population ...).

    • Arkady Shapoval

Most likely af optics from a third-party Chinese manufacturer 1.2-0.95 will have to wait another 10 years. Only in this 2019 Sigma made the first af lens with 1.2 :)

  • B. R. P.

    Inexpensive and very angry.

  • Roman

Yes, and 100 mm of working distance is very much so.

  • Seryozhaaaaa ......

Well, judging by the photo of the ants, the magnification and detailing is good - and the price is not extortionate - you can order it for a test - to help all macrographs decide whether to take or not take .... ???? I hope very much for your help …

    • Iskander

      Cool! Like under a microscope!

The lens turned out to be frankly unsuccessful. Judging by the reviews, the sharpness level of the Chinese zooms for 50 bucks loses at the same frequency even to the not too sharp Laowa 2x 60mm. And to MP-E 65 which he is trying to parody especially as to the moon. It's a pity, I would like to have an analogue of MP-E for Nikon, but alas, it is not destined. I heard by the way that the party of lenses from surveyors has already been recalled.

    • York

The glass was taken from the surveyors ...
Either hurry, or ketayprom in his repertoire.

There is hope that they can bring it to mind, otherwise they would not have fussed.

      It's sad of course.
From MP-E 85 or even 100mm would not have refused. Pokh on rip, MDF will make it easier to expose the light.

      • Someone

Well xs, 3x from hand to 105 with Raynoks such a pleasure. When only the antennae of a millimeter collembola gets into the frame, it is not very pleasant. I wanted to buy myself a 25mm 2.5-5 laov, but the price for a non-autofocus china is inadequate, a 1: 1 macro with autofocus Japanese can be for the same money (sigma / tamron).

        • York

I looked at this Laova, played for a week, and did not take it. Still, 25mm is too little, to put the light on is hellish flour.
And it’s inconvenient to shoot from your hands, MP-E at least gives you the opportunity to fuss with yourself, and this little laov, there’s nothing to grab at.

          • Someone

In my Kukuevo there is no rental, I have to navigate only by reviews)
So thanks for the comment with real experience of use, -1 lens from the wish list if money suddenly appears)

  • SuperPuperMegabuper

Let's leave the Chinese lenses for masochists. I had one Nikon made in China - it's a nightmare ... What can we say about third-party manufacturers ...

  • Alexander

    1. Light is easier to apply to the object - this is a plus.
    2. If you shoot a stack, then when shooting vertically with such a working distance (up to the front lens 272mm), you will have to shoot at a 1: 1 scale while standing. You can't reach the eyepiece while sitting - that's a minus.

  • R'RёS,R ° F "RёR№

Good day to all. I'll put in my 5 kopecks about Chinese optics. I also shied away from it, and to be honest, I thought that photo optics was too conservative a segment for Chinese manufacturers to get into it. I read reviews on some Mitacons on the mirrorlessons resource (I am a user of the micro 4/3 system), frankly they did not write bad things about them, but there was no particular enthusiasm. But I liked the review on Mitakon 25mm 0.95 mft, as I fell for something on this glass. I decided to buy, ordered on eBay through an official store (sort of like), by the way there was an item “offer my own price”, I asked for a 5% discount, which was agreed on a day later. It was almost 2 years ago, I paid 28 rubles (000-370 USD). After about 380 weeks, the parcel arrived, and at the post office, upon issuance, a customs fee of 2 rubles was withheld from me ...
In general, I liked the lens. On account of the masterpiece I will not speak, and I am more of an amateur to argue this. It is really compact (in comparison with the same Voigtlander 25mm 0.95), well assembled. Everything moves smoothly and without backlash, metal. On a pontoon open, it is certainly not super sharp, but also not soapy. The most important thing is the aperture ratio, you can feel it very much. I filmed in an apartment in the kitchen hand-held at ISO 200, almost everything turned out abruptly. Well, in general, how do the photos come out, which I often like myself later. In general, this particular model was a success for them, my opinion (price, size, quality, picture). Here are some shots on the Lumix gf2
