And who grabs this "log" together with the Panas system ?? Better Comrade Sonya ...
It's not just Panasonic, it fits both the Leica SL / SL2 and the future UPC from Sony. As for the log - almost all modern 70-200 / 2.8 are huge and heavy.
On Sonya, what side will he stand on?
Sigma, wrong
... and the future of Sony's UPC? Doubt is gnawing, however.
Wrong, of course I had in mind Sigma. From Leica / Panasonic / Sigma alliance with L mount.
in fact, this alliance has a great future, for this they have everything. Not only was it Panasonic that created the mirrorless camera when the others yawned, but you shouldn’t write off Lake’s name, and Panasonic through its subsidiary TowerJazz produces high-quality sensors (in Nikon D3, D3s, D850 cameras, and maybe even their other top cameras !!!) are sensors of this manufacturer’s name (do not confuse with the mechanism with the sensor inside, which Sony collects and marks it as a ready-made module for cameras, the sensor is from TowerJazz there). That is, they have the main component that is required for the production of digital cameras (that is why Kenon himself began to produce sensors, even with low noise figures, so that they have their own future). The name of Lake is top in terms of quality and trust in optical devices, and Panasonic is a leader in commercial video production, and Sigma has huge production capacities, and Panasonic itself is a giant in the industry. This lens in tests will undoubtedly surpass all similar ones, here we will see. In my opinion, their cameras lack some kind of powerful phase autofocus, which they will most likely fix soon.
It remains to do normal autofocus, but what is now, even on top cameras, is just a shame.
Mirrorless cameras cannot have a powerful phase AF in principle. Alas.
