Nikon Series E 28mm 1: 2.8 is a lens AI-S type. It can be installed on any Nikon F-mount DSLR camera.On older models, automatic detection of the aperture ring will work fine.
The lens is conveniently controlled thanks to its wide focus ring and standard aperture ring.

In general, this is a good and inexpensive wide-angle full-frame fix. Strongly vignettes at full frame while focusing on infinity. Otherwise, everything is very good.

If you buy a manual shirik, namely 28 mm, then you probably should pay more and take the legendary Nikon Nikkor 28 mm f / 2.8 Ai-S, although the price is of course about 2.5 times higher.

I have such a glass. The lens performed very well both on film and on digital. For their modest money, not bad glass, but this line was developed as a budget, for students, at one time.
