Interesting. With Canon, the fisheye becomes circular only by 8 mm. Actually, on a full frame, it has only two positions - 8 mm - circular, 15 mm - diagonal. Well, maybe 14mm. All in between are black corners. But on the crop from 10 mm to 15 mm there are no corners (there is a special switch for 10 mm so that you cannot zoom further). And the lens goes from a diagonal fisheye (10 mm) to an ultra-wide with a strong distortion (15 mm). Actually, on the crop it is more interesting for this reason.
So it’s strange that this lens is designed for a full frame.
And on K1, K1 II it is circular, but not quite, the circle is slightly cut off by the horizontal frames of the frame. Canon 8-15 gives you a full circle.
In general, this lens is a replica of the Tokina 107 Fisheye 10-17mm F3.5-4.5 DX NH AT-X, which was upgraded in the same way from the previous version simply by removing the lens hood, making it easier to use the lens at full frame.
Yes, somehow it’s not quite possible in this case :) The circle is usually inscribed in a square, the background is changed to white or black and a typical 180-degree panorama is obtained. And here neither there nor here, defective image.
if we are talking about a full frame, then not in a square, but in a rectangle with an aspect ratio of 2 to 3.
I'm talking about processing the finished image.
All the newness in the sawn hood? Pentax had
Only 3 new things: hd enlightenment, a removable hood (the idea was taken from Tokina NH [NO HOOD]) and an updated design.
In general, they torment poor Tokin on 10-17 2006. At the same time, in 2019 we get a lens with a very old optical design, without a built-in motor, with six aperture blades.
Did Pentax users expect this lens?
Yes, for sure, the enlightenment has been updated. Not only is the circuit old, but the lens itself (judging by Tokin) was not an ice in the image. Pentaxists are unlikely to have expected this.
Forgot to mention as a good alternative to Samyang 8mm / F3,5 Fish-Eye CSII
Only autofocus listed
Oh well, it’s in the bathhouse, with such characteristics, and with such a picture, for such money! It’s better to take the old Pentax fisheye and not take a steam bath. It is durable as a tank. And with a predictable picture. One trouble is chromatite.
And by the way, now there is more interesting glass than these two fishas. Here's an example discussion of 10mm Samyang 2,8. Pictures in the subject are just great for glass at that price.

Well, who else, but pentaxists HD enlightenment and a removable hood were waiting. Taking into account that the real SMS version is three times, and the new HD version is more than half the price of the excellent Canon 8-15 F / 4, Pentax still has an excellent fishy. And HD will be even better.
The irony is that for Canon there is a long time ago Tokina 10-17 NH (without the hood, whose idea Pentax took) and even Tokina 10-17 NH V for video shooting.
And it is right. There is this Tokina, there is more expensive glass with a red stripe. It's just that Pentax, even on the basis of third-party developments, makes it more interesting - as in the case of Tamrons 24-70 and 15-30 - similar optics from Pentax, perhaps even surpassing the G2 version from Tamron.
True, this does not remove the optical limitations of this old Tokina, just Pentax will now show everything it can do.)
There is no irony here. For penTaxi drivers try to do everything at once - pentaclub to help - there, in general, everything is written in the ru segment and in English. And for a long time.
The bootmakers taking the market simply earn loot, which is generally correct.
And nikonovody still die in agony, for example at 700ke which is essentially firewood.
These are your attractions.
Not funny?
