For the price of this lens alone, you can take 55-250 for crop, this is almost 100-400 and eos 250D with a whale of 18-55. Well, fifty dollars for change. Even without fifty dollars a tourist set will be more interesting, even if necessary, rearrange the glass. Cheaper and, most importantly, more compact - 58 mm versus 72. With comparable image quality.
Well, the 250d is clearly not a full-frame mirrorless camera, with all that it implies.
Flowing, sinking, heavy, quickly discharging. Here, after all, the point is in an inexpensive tourist universal compact zoom.
Zoom to a full mirrorless frame, do not miss this, otherwise everything can be reduced to 18-55.
Well, that’s a very compromise solution. I am an amateur photographer who bought some kind of EOS RP. You can, of course, put it on EOS-R. But then I get an expensive and good full-frame mirrorless for a lot of money, it has a large (72 mm) and rather heavy (kilogram) dark zoom for 1000 bucks.
I don’t have quality, I don’t have compactness, I don’t have superzoom (16-300 Tamron at the far end gives 480 mm equivalent for 600 bucks), all this is added to a mirrorless with dying batteries pretty quickly, it’s expensive, it’s a pity to lose-break .
This is subjective, of course, but this zoom solves those problems that I don’t really need on a trip and doesn’t solve those that are really needed.
So now the boom on the BZK, you need to mow the loot. Well, in general, an expensive system is obtained. It seems 24-70 \ f4 EF in Ukraine for 700 bucks can be found, not so long but L plus macro. In general, the system is new and prices are too high, you need to wait a bit
A completely normal version of travel lenses is a full frame.

It’s incorrect to compare with crop, a lens for owners of ff bz carcasses.
For that kind of money ($ 900), we could have made a 5,6 diaphragm at the long end, and not 6,3 - a short back section allows this. In general, videographers have been waiting for such a zoom (10x) for a long time - but if the zoom ring is tight and rotates in jerks (like the analog from Sony), then such a zoom into the furnace. Canon could break the bank with this lens if it installed a rocking motorized zoom like any camcorder. Additional contacts in the RF mount are designed to provide more current for the motorized smooth zoom, why not release a video lens with a zoom rocker and high zoom? But no, we, videographers, will continue to suffer, filming video with cameras - after all, we do not have a single super-universal lens, and this new model could easily become such a lens.
