Watering can? What for they need a Lake? Ponte is over, do you need a fresh master class?

    • Arkady Shapoval

Maybe it already needs something to Lake?

      • Paul

        What does Lake need?
        Leica needs money ... A lot! ..
She and KMZ "like Zenith" muddied only because of this.
Arkady, will you transfer to Bentley if you have a good Mercedes? Me not. And I will continue to shoot on the Mercedes-Canon, bypassing the Bentley Lake side. And I’ll spend the price difference on the purchase of high-quality optics.

        • Paul

And for Sigma I was not worried. Well done! They will be the last to enter the market for FF mirrorless cameras, creatively studying and rethinking Sony's experience and saving their future camera from the "childhood diseases" inherent in the new FF mirrorless cameras Canon and Nikon. Yes, and "Foveon" will certainly improve its new percent. under it will be created.
How is it with the British? Last but not least?

        • Georgy

This is because you still don’t have enough money to make status and style (watering can) more important to you than image quality.

          • Paul

Are you serious? I’m funny, you are our status!

            • Paul

I can afford a medium format too, but why the hell is it for a photo enthusiast ?!

              • anonym

A person who can afford a medium format should not only be rich financially, but also literate in his language, be able to express his thoughts in the literary framework, and not in the language of a yard flaw.

            • Georgy

Such reasoning always comes from the financial component. Like, why should I take this expensive one, I will take two of the same cheap ones and get the same thing. That is, you set the task to save money. People who take a watering can do not have such a task. Therefore, the question the way you put it is not worth it in principle.

              • Onotole

                +1

              • Paul

George, on Pentax-645 I EARNED to myself, and therefore I can count money.
Once again I repeat: for me, Mercedes is better than Bentley, understand how you know))
Although one friend of mine, an unemployed watering can (!!!) recently told me that a rangefinder digital watering can be bought on the secondary housing for almost 200.000 rubles. I don't know, I haven't tested it ... 😂

              • Vyacheslav

                Ponte and here Ponte :)

              • Michael

Earned - this is the key word. About that and conversation

              • Andrew Ch.

The famous Russian photographer Dimon / in the world of Medvedev / completely agree with you.

        • Canistra

Nothing personal, but Leica, first of all, are not premium cameras, but high-quality geodetic measuring equipment. Cameras there, as they say, "for the soul." Trust me, the company has the money to make expensive piece devices. But the guys are always ready to get extra money from the patent) I hope the history of their cooperation will come out about as fruitful and productive as with micro 4/3 in the era before the rampant filling)

  • Paul

Long live Sigleisonic, the symbol of the indestructible unity of international photographers! Hooray, comrades!

Look at the color from these new matrices. If the approaches used on the new mirror FF matrices of all manufacturers do not change, then it is better to sit on the proven "old" one.

    • zengarden

Are you talking about FOVEON? she's not new and damn cool. This is a three-layer matrix, each color has its own photodiodes.

  • Valentine

Panasonic S series: UPC, full frame, L-mount (compatible with Panasonic, Sigma and Leica lenses for L-mount), dual stabilization system (sensor + lens if available; instead of + sign, the manufacturer puts multiplication), video up to 4K 60 fps on full-frame matrix, 24 MP (S1) and 47 MP (S1R), two XQD + SD slots, swivel screen, second monochrome screen with settings on the top panel, form factor similar to SLR cameras with good grip, rotary dials and many buttons for a large and the index finger of the right hand. Market launch - early 2019. The camera is separated from the G series (M4 / 3, emphasis on portability, S emphasis on high image quality and control). By 2020, the number of L-mount lenses is over 10. The closest ones are 50 mm / F1.4, 24-105 mm and 70-200 mm (the aperture of two zooms is not clear yet).

  • Pokemon

Arkady, where did you get the info that Sigma will leave the release of lenses with Sigma SA mount?
Is this Kazuto Yamaki (CEO Sigma) on Fotokine said?

    • Arkady Shapoval

      Of Press Release on Fotokine.
“SIGMA will continue producing SA-mount lenses. We plan to continue developing, manufacturing and selling interchangeable lenses - including lenses already available on the market and future products - with the SA-mount, as part of our standard product lineup. ”

      • Pokemon

I hope for their honesty. Arkady, thanks.
Although, they promise, they promise, and there are almost no glasses on sale in the same Moscow now under their mount.

    • Michael

Duc, like cameras said, lenses will continue to produce

  • Pokemon

As the owner of the Sigma SD-1 Merril, I can say that the very ecosystem of the Sigma SA mount resembles a cart / cart, which was hard to develop and it was a pity to abandon. The main problem is nothing. Even if you manage to buy a camera, you cannot find batteries or a booster (battery pack). And ... there is a very small selection of lenses for this mount, which cannot be found on sale. An online trade, which is, as it were, an official. dealer Sigma in Moscow time.
The problem with the SA mount is that there are no lenses on sale, and it is difficult to buy a camera plus a specific matrix. Perhaps Sigma produces few lenses for SA because their camera sales are low. We get a vicious circle.
I watched the owners of the Sigma cameras (it was signed on flickr) and many left Foveon on the d810, d850, A7 m3, A7R m2, .tk. it is commonplace to work with these cameras and they are universal.
Foveon loves only the basic ISO and the picture with ISO200 begins to lose color and noise appears. The release of SD Quattro H did not greatly improve the situation with DD and noise. Yes, DD even SD QH is much inferior to A7 m2. There is also a problem with the slow focus module and the small area covered by the focus points of the frame. SD QH has it from SD Q or even SD-1. Even Art Series lenses focus slowly and with errors.
And on Sigma, no one shoots sports and twilight / night because of the peculiarities of the camera and the focusing module. Also, everyone tries to shoot so that the sun is not in the frame at all and it is behind the back - due to the peculiarities of the exposure meter, it “knocks out” the sky and cannot be saved in any way, incl. exposure meter.

    • Pokemon

I am calm now, before, yes, there were delights. Not now. There is no desire to sell either.
I can add that the cameras are voracious as a BZK. Those. I need 350 original batteries to shoot 400-2 frames. All cameras on Foveone are gluttonous.

    • Valentine

What you wrote, to one degree or another, can affect all new mounts. This year has become one of the most fruitful on them. It’s hard to recall the amount of simultaneous appearance of new bayonets associated with the peak of new full-frame mirrorless cameras. By the way, this is one of the possible reasons why Zeiss released a full-frame camera with non-replaceable optics (they don’t understand until the end whether they need to make their own mount or if in the future they should join one of the available ones). Not all companies make promises that there will be a series of lenses, adapters or accessories for their optics. Perhaps this also makes sense. It is unlikely that all systems will be equally successful, for some manufacturers this is more like a demonstration of technical capabilities.

  • Falcon

The news is one more interesting than the other, I won’t be surprised if in the near future there will be a nikon-canon-pentax alliance

    • Valentine

Panasonic and Leica have been working together for a long time. M4 / 3 has a large number of high-quality collaborative developments. Therefore, the alliance of these two companies is not surprising. Sigma, by the way, also has long been involved in the work on the M4 / 3 line, so there is nothing surprising here. The absence of Olympus is rather a bit surprising, but here the reasons may be different (which of them did not want to join / invite to the alliance did not see the information). But Nikon and Canon always went their own way, so they won’t agree on anything. Yes, and unlike the Panasonis, which designed a full-size UPC with full functionality and ergonomics, Nikon and Canon announced heavily trimmed models, a level (if not two) lower than Panasonic.

      • Artem

What are the truncated ones? In the video? In terms of photos are quite similar. Like three twin brothers. Only the nameplates are different.

        • Valentine

Are you sure? Read the characteristics of Z6, Z7, EOS R and comments under the topics, it will be clear why so much criticism rained on these new products.

          • Canistra

Haters are a sign of popularity. Nikon, Canon are long-lived titans who put everything on the line by choosing a narrow frame, together with Penatx, who stood at the origins of the entire more or less modern photography industry, so this pair, and more recently Sony, together with them, are AAA brands, and it's no surprise that all the audience's attention is riveted on them. No offense to Hasselblad and Leica will be said, but they are the most. Available, popular, versatile, and discussed. Only the laziest does not discuss them.

  • ZI ZI TOP

Yeah .., eyes run up from such an abundance (especially among the Chinese - how many types of adapters need to be sharpened) .., so much has been stirred up, half of course will die off during the campaign in the process of survival ... By the way, is Sonia suspiciously silent in terms of new products? Is it waiting, pumping it up, preparing a Surprise, or is it blown away? ..

    • Arkady Shapoval

Sony said they finish a7s III

    • Valentine

Sony is already in this segment, where everyone goes. Unlike others, they have a line, including several modifications of the A7 and the flagship A9.

      • ZI ZI TOP

About FF it is clear, Sony's development has gone ... But the top-lovers' crop for the campaign got stuck in the 6500s, which are certainly good (though they are still expensive), but for a minute, 2016 was born. ? .. The people were waiting for the continuation at the unstable stubbled croppers ... Or with the crop, the topic died out and will continue only at the level of “trinkets for blondes” like 5000,5100's.

    Three-headed hydra)

I checked about Lake: on Avito in Moscow, the same one with which the new Zenith was copied, for 180 tr. are selling.
    I do not want. 😨

  • Nexus836

after the words XQD dual slot, I lost interest in googling these cameras.
the cost of a memory card of this format for 32 GB is 5000 UAH. ($ 180), while SD 128 GB on Amazon can be bought for $ 40.
Yes, I understand that XQD cards have high speed, but it is not needed and does not justify the price.
for cameras such as Sony, where continuous shooting of 20 frames / s - the buffer is appropriate. for this, a san disk extreme memory card is enough where the read / write speed is ~ 90 mb / s

    • Oleksandr

Judging by the characteristics there is one slot for XQD and one slot for SD

  • Good M

In my heart, not # bu about cards and hryvnia ... But something tells me that Olympus will soon be #edited ...

    • Ivan

Yes, and not only to them ...

  • Vladimir

Alliance - what is it, Sigma will be at Leica prices ?!

  • Yaroslav

Fundamentally I can not stand sigma because of the art series! With their back and front and docking stations. There is money, But I definitely won’t buy this miracle, I’ll add a good lens to the park!

    • Pokemon

Have you shot one of them yourself?
It is difficult to find lenses with better optical performance. And almost impossible for the same money. For example, the 35 / 1.4ART is slightly more expensive than the Tamron 35 / 1.8 and the new Nikon 35 / 1.8G.

      • peter

I'm filming. And there is no such thing as “best optical performance”. The dock configures only for obj. distances and only one point, and the lateral both smeared and smeared.
They don’t have microcontrast at all, so ART is generally pure marketing. So that there is no dispute, what is microcontrast I give a link
        https://periscope.com.ua/osnovy-fotografii/mikrokontrast-naibolshaya

        • Pokemon

          Did you give an adjustment?
At the expense of microcontrast ... 35 / 1.4ART works for me on Sigma SD-1 Merrill on foveon.
And there are no problems with sharpness, nor with micro-contrast, nor with contrast. With AF there are nuances.
Yes, there are AF errors (especially on the open one) on SIGMA SA, on ART and EX DG lenses.

          • peter

In comparison with Nikon G, Sigma Art and D, the microcontrast is worse a priori (I gave a link what microcontrast is, and not sharpness) and wrote about autofocus points that everything is OK in the center, and the sides are smeared. I put up with this because my Sigma is simply cheaper, if I didn’t count money, I wouldn’t withdraw it with sigma.

        • Peter Sh.

Microcontrast primarily depends on the shooting conditions and only then on the lens.
In conditions close to ideal, good micro-contrast can be obtained with any lens, on any camera.

          • Oleg

Good comment. There used to be a divine skinton, now it comes to the divine micro-contrast. Sigma has a problem with focusing; no one argues, not native optics. Therefore, they are trying to promote their mount, but the foveon is a whimsical thing

            • Peter Sh.

              Thank you Oleg.

Once here we are talking about this, here is a good example.
The pictures show the same model, the same light, camera and lens. I just changed the background.
Notice how the microcontrast and skinton have changed. If you change the light and put another model, then in general everything will be different.

The difference between lenses and even different camera systems will literally be minimal in comparison with the banal change in the color gamut of the frame.

              PSX_20181003_171552

            • Peter Sh.

Like this. All these controversies about skintons and microcontrasts are a waste of both time and effort.

              PSX_20181003_170655

  • peter

It is clear that it all depends on the photographer.
But it was stated above that "It is difficult to find lenses with better optical performance." To which I noticed that from the point of view of microcontrast Sigma is worse, and focus is generally a separate topic (and if the focus is wrong, then all the advantages of better sharpness come to naught).

    • 1Ds_mk3

Dude, you're dull and boring. Do not wishful thinking and do not pretend to be a sofa expert here. If you don't like it, don't buy it. The lenses work fine after alignment and everything is fine with them. If you are allergic to third-party lenses - buy original Canon or Nikon. No money? Don't whine and go work.

  • Ilya (Volgograd)

    Finally. Standard for full frame.
In the world of micro 4/3, a perfectly similar standard is implemented.
