Comments: 20, on the topic: Announcement of YONGNUO 50mm F / 1.4 NE

  • Yura

The Chinese can do anything. And the previous glass is 100mm Nikon, it shows. Not ideal, but price and quality are consistent.

  • Alexander

... a copy of which lens is this model? :)

    • Arkady Shapoval

Nobody will say for sure, but rummaging around in the question, thanks Dmitry, came to the conclusion that this YN is an unrealized lens from Canon (patent expired).

  • Valentine

It seems that for Canon they are also updating this lens to version II, which looks and descriptions are very similar to this one for Nikon.

    • Arkady Shapoval

The Yongnuo 50 / 1.4 version for Canon cameras was already announced earlier, or rather on May 30, 2018 and has been on sale for a long time. As for the fact that the Yn 50 / 1.4 is the second model for Canon, this is a myth, since the “first” model of the Yn 50 / 1.4 did not exist as such, there was only a prototype that was never sold anywhere, was presented on April 29, 2014 at the show “The 17th China International Photograph & Electrical Imaging Machinery and Technology”.

      • Valentine

Clearly, it seemed to me that that version (prototype) was available. Probably, this false impression was left of the unofficial site and the sites of stores where this prototype still flaunts, for example: http://www.yongnuorussia.com/catalog/obektiv-yongnuo-yn-50mm-f-1-4-canon-ef-080855.html

There are many such pages - everywhere the same render of a given lens. Namely, the link above is generally complete nonsense in the comments. Even at the exhibition there were no technical data, and there are only a few photos from the exhibition itself, but no more.

  • Vadim

What good fellows, however, that the update was done via usb! This is very important, I wanted to buy a d810, it was stopped by the fact that my favorite sigma 85 1.4 before Art didn't start on it. (I took 750, on it - norms). Service is too far away. Well at least new ones with the console can be updated. You see, they still want to make money on these consoles.

  • zengarden

Funny, the optical design is similar to double gauss, but with bonding lenses.
Are there any examples of photos from him?

    • Arkady Shapoval

I have no examples, they just announced the lens, look on the net. And the scheme most likely goes to Zeiss Ultron, something similar to the Sony 55mm f / 1.8.

    • anonym

      There are examples https://mysku.ru/blog/china-stores/64847.html

    • Onotole

An unusual scheme, especially for a high-aperture staff - the front lens is concave.

  • Caelwyn

And this electromagnetic diaphragm on old carcasses like D200, as I understand it will not work at all?

    • anonym

No, it will not. For a list of compatible cameras, see the E series lens.

    • Arkady Shapoval

      On Nikon D1, D1h, D1x, D2h, D2x, D2hs, D2xs, D40, D50, D60, D70, D70s, D80, D90, D100, D200, D3000 + Fujifilm FinePix S1 Pro, S2 Pro, S3 Pro, S3 Pro cameras UVIR, S5 Pro, IS Pro, Kodak DCS PRO 14n and Kodak DCS Pro SLR / n + on all film can be removed only with an open aperture

  • Sergei

In the 4th photo above, the lens is cloudy)))

    • Michael

More like a film, in the 3rd photo also

    • Arkady Shapoval

      These are stylized images.

      • Sergei

Yes, of course! It was a joke))

  • Igor

Judging by the photo taken from the lens, chromatite is very strong ... So the presence of 1.4 aperture is a dubious advantage of this lens
