  • Alexey

I wonder why it is better than the previous version, if it is very, very good.

  • Peter Sh.

Eheheh ... When will Nikon finally do this with VR.
    And not only that.
Although why am I dreaming. Probably never will.

    • nikop

You bet 14-24 on s6 and voila

    • Michael

Why stub an ultra-wide angle? I even have enough light on the crop. Here are TVs - yes - very much needed

      • Valentine

I would not refuse. Video. Shooting architecture without a tripod when there is not enough light. When you need a very large depth of field or hyperfocal from a non-remote object, sometimes it takes short exposures without grease. In general, I am for a stub on almost any lens or on the matrix itself.

        • Michael

Well, short excerpts are not about stubs. I won't comment on the video, I don't know. The depth of field is already long on such lenses, the limiting exposure is long. Well, can't you take pictures at night without a tripod ... In practice, for me personally, I never needed
And there is also a myth that the stub is washing the picture

          • Valentine

The grip is large, but when it is necessary to include a close object and a distant one in sharpness, it must be very large, or hyperfocal. It is not uncommon for landscape or architecture to shoot with such lenses. By closing the aperture tightly, we can get an increase in shutter speed until the frame is blurry. It also depends on the pixel size. ISO, too, does not really want to raise, the detail is important. Stab can be helpful here. About the fact that he lathers - I think it's a myth, the more you can turn it off when not needed. In general, of course, I agree that the larger the focal point, the more relevant the stub. The Panasonic even puts 42.5mm on the portrait lens, and this is useful. Useful for video if handheld shooting. Again, the larger the focal point, the more noticeable the impact.

        • Victor

Valentin, do you fundamentally do not recognize a tripod on the set if you cannot shoot without a stub? Especially with regards to the video! If you have a tripod, you don't need a stub. There are, however, exceptions - post-stroke condition, congenital tremor of the hands, etc.

          • Valentine

Victor, I wrote above - if without a tripod. It doesn't seem to follow that I am against the tripod. And so, I consider the stub to be a useful function, especially since if it is not needed, you can turn it off. Again, if you don't want to overpay, there are usually no stub alternatives. But why do we need a stub, including wide, I think, in general, it is clear.

      • Peter Sh.

It happens sometimes, Valentine said everything correctly. I rarely use this for work, but still, Nikon would like to see an ultra-wide professional lens with a stub. Here you need to understand that 16-35 f / 4 has a different quality, it is not professional. There can be no talk of a tripod, the speaker is no longer the same. No one will wait for you.

Again, I am not a mega-master, my experience is very, very limited. Perhaps more experienced photographers do not need a stub here.

    • Serge

Nikon has long had 16-35 f4 vr

  • Yaroslav.

Skoda scho filter it is impossible to deliver, nikor 16-35 for me less addictive.

    • Michael

This misfortune of many super-wide, especially recently

  • Sven

Thanks Arkady for "News" and "Enlightenment"
    Good luck and success!

  • R'RёS,R ° F "RёR№

Add the letter “c” to the word fix, where the canon ruler is.
    I'd like to see a review of sigma 14 / 1.8.
    Good luck to all)

The link "Aliexpress" does not work.

  • Alexey

I’ll leave it here, comparing the new and old versions is very interesting :)

  • Uncle Fedor

    Where is the review?

    • Vitaly N

      Obviously not where the announcement.

  • Oleg

For myself, I solved the problem with the polarizer as follows: WYATT 145 mm thin circular polarizer. This 145 mm filter must be used with the TY T150 metal 150 mm square filter holder. Chinese comrades help out. Somewhat cumbersome, but the kit is quite working.
