I bought myself one. I have Nikon 85 / 1.8g in stock, but I’m already a little tired and I wanted a larger range, up to 200mm. I already have Tamron 24-70 / f2.8 G2, I really like it. On YouTube, Dustin Abbott compared Tamrons 70-210 / f4 to 70-200 / f2.8 G2. And on f5.6 they are almost the same, but the version f2.8 has focus breathing and there is not 200m there, but 150-160. Version f4 has 210. This is important to me. Over the years, I was tired of carrying a heavy bag, and all photographers primarily praised 70-210 / f4 for weight compared to versions 2.8. I tested Nikon 85 \ f1.8g and Tamron 70-210 \ f4 on a Nikon D750 camera. I set the Tamron to 85mm, took three pictures and compared the best of each. From a distance of 2m Nikon is a little better on f4 and f5.6, on t8 Tamron is better. But from a distance of 1m, 5m, 20m, 50m Tamron is a little clearer. In general, the difference is not big, it can only be seen closer. Nikon gives a lighter picture; Tamron needs +0,3 e-correction. But I like the color of Tamron more. I also want to add that Nikon from f4 to f5,6 gives the best picture and is inferior to Tamron already in the open. I was lucky with Tamron's exact focus, no corrections needed. Nikon naturally has a higher aperture and can be used in dark scenarios, but I don’t like the soapiness of the picture at 1,8-2,5. Therefore, always fotkal from 2,8 and above. Constant size at any focal point - it's just a must try, it's beauty. Before that, in portrait cases I used 85 / 1.8. I sold it and I don't feel any regret at all. One drawback is the new case, or rather the case is very good, but the matte finish is very easily soiled. You need to immediately buy a corf for it, otherwise a new one in a couple of weeks in a bag ... will not look like a new one. Yes, there is also an electronic diaphragm, without a pusher. On Nikon, you can change the aperture during video. For those 500 dollars as it is now there is an excellent lens.
