Consultations and training

About my consultations and / or training:

  • Without water. Only the essence, only the concentrated experience. Many times have already had to retrain newly-made photographers after the next 'pseudo-photo school'.
  • I'll tell you all the subtleties and all the tricks that I know. I am very open about my work and am glad to share all my experience. Taking pictures is not difficult - it is difficult to be able to do it subtly.
  • I’ll tell you all the ins and outs of photographic equipment, about almost any camera, any lens. I will give the most practical advice with specifics for your tasks.
  • I have a wide circle of friends, you can hear such revelations about which I can’t write about in Radozhiv.
  • I will help 'beginners' to decide on the way, I will indicate where and how to start.
  • Training: an individual approach to each specific person. Practical lessons! Only practical exercises for those who really want to study.

Arkady's critics, as a photo artist, have the answer: just in the classroom, you need a good, competent specialist, as you say a techie. It is not Arkady, nor anyone else who will lay his hand on the head of a seeker of enlightenment and instill in him a sense of beauty. But to teach those who know exactly what he wants to achieve in photography, but does not know HOW, is quite realistic. You cannot answer the question “How to make the coolest shot”, but you can answer the question “How to place accents on specific subjects of the frame” or “Why and how is retouching by the frequency decomposition method done”.

    • anonym

with all due respect to Arkady, it is not clear why this is Arkady.
for a living? Isn’t it easier to spend this time on commercial photography, to work on stocks, to master new genres of photography (fashion, subject, work with catalogs, etc.), to do your own promotion.
it is not clear why this is for customers, except for the most novice lovers and novice wedding bombers.
for example, people want to learn how to make money from stocks. Arkady is unlikely to help, this is a whole separate area in which he is clearly not an expert. learn real processing in shops (not lightroom), either.
perhaps Arkady received recognition-awards as a specialist in the genres of weddings, photo-hunting, as a landscape painter, in macro photography? something there is no such information.
which returns to the question of how to recapture the money spent on training)
      can anyone share their thoughts?

      • Arkady Shapoval

How cute everyone was hooked on my new direction :)

share where you managed to find "indignation")))
sort of like the question was
“How to recoup the money spent on training)
can anyone share their thoughts? "
did you see indignation in this? )))

          rather surprised.

        • andrey

Arkady, in fact, can answer the masses?
“Isn't it easier to spend this time on commercial photography, to work on stocks, to master new genres of photography (fashion, subject, work with catalogs, etc.), to do your own promotion.” ?

          • Alexey

Or maybe Arkady himself will figure out how to spend his time?

          • Arkady Shapoval

The answer is maybe simpler. The rest I already do, I dance and I also like to tell.

            • anonym

“I will tell you in great detail how to make money with stories”… :-D

Salute! Just want to say thanks for radojuva.com :)

This is the most beautifully structured and thoughtful resource on a topic that I know of, both in terms of style and content. There would be more of this in other areas - few people do something with such dedication and dedication. That's why thanks! :)

    • anonym

      Yes. Overall, pretty good. :-)

And I'm wondering - what are those dissatisfied with Arkady doing on this site? What have they forgotten here? Or is it really just envy?

    • Oleg

Need to grumble. There is such a category of people grumblers. And it doesn’t matter what topic: Kenonikon, Skinton or consultations and training. And I’m sure that they live far from Arcadia and naturally they were not going to come to any consultations

  • Vitaliy U

I read the comments ... I want to swear, but Arkady will crash the whole comment :))) I appeal to the critics: have you read Arkady's statement from the beginning, or (like all “great” Jedi) from the end? It is clearly written there that in connection with the mass appeals of the "workers" this useful "option" will get dirty :). Everything! Whoever is not interested, we pass by, do not linger. The author promises to share his concentrated experience in photography. There is no talk about the artistic, compositional component (as I understand it), and it’s not so easy to learn this ... some take years, and the results are a misfit (by the way, there are people who do not need to learn ... they themselves can teach and immediately).
Arkady is God help, from the heart !!!

    • anonym

      I agree with you completely

    • Igor

I agree to all the service stations !!!

  • Srsergiy

At other times, for such undertakings, they could have been sent to the fire…. Ish thought of something - to take money for lessons !!!! And I didn't even consult with anyone! And ask people if they consider him worthy?!?!?! - did not even think !!!! just a TERORIST in the field of photography - set a goal to get into the pockets of local gurus!

    • R'RёS,R ° F "RёR№

To use his website and work for free is so worthy, but as he offered lessons for money - so no longer?

Means answers in kamenty, it is already possible and not to wait?

    • Dim

Do good to the person and it will immediately become your duty. If possible, then file with Interpol for wanted, this feature is now in trend.

    • Oleg

The answers in the comments relate mainly to the technical side of the matter, and Arkady wants to dwell on the artistic side of the issue, as I understand it. So I think the answers in the comments will not suffer

  • Nicodemus

It's cheap and expensive, everything is relative ... Let's say, many people know who Ludwig van Beethoven is, And who taught him the same? Self-taught nuggets are very rare. Otozh. Whoever has the opportunity - learn! How to “recoup” costs? And how did you “beat off” by learning to read, say?
I have been reading the site for a very long time; some kind of trust or something for Arkady in photography and in a restrained and patient manner of communicating with site visitors. It seems that school courses will be interesting and useful.

  • Andrei

yes ... hooked everyone, that's for sure. Only, I dare say - this whole idea is not viable. although the direction is correct. doing such a thing is hopeless - as a commercial project - a waste of time - gradually it will come to naught ... gradually the flow of those who wish will dry up and everything will stall ... how regrettable. When will Arkady listen to my NOT FIRST proposal to write an explanatory BOOK. Once he even offered Arkady his participation in the project. The circulation is 5000 copies. WILL FLY to grab both in Ukraine and in the near and I think in the far abroad. You just need to summarize and systematize your works, finalize and formalize. The main advantage, on the poison with no less important, is a MINIMUM of water and the spread of thoughts along the tree. Arcadia's hobbyhorse is specifics, knowledge and experience, and of course the name! What will Arkady himself and the photo community say?

    • Peter Sh.

      I didn't understand about the poison ...
And about the publication of the book, according to the stories of a friend of the writer, this is not a profitable business. But there it was a popular science style.

      • Andrei

with poison everything is simple - scartavil :) sorry for the mistake. read "along the line". in essence - ANY business, if it has no DEMAND, will have no prospects. In any case, you need to talk to the publishers, and if you order the circulation yourself, in general you can decide only yourself. Intelligent promotion of the publication, taking into account the maximum number of wishes of the audience ... and a lot of all sorts of things, well, money :)

        • Onotole

Argument, if not difficult, your position.
Why is there no demand? Why will the flow of those wishing to dry up?

          • Andrei

My opinion is purely subjective. From general experience, this is the lot of most courses and similar undertakings. it is difficult to do this alone for a long time and effectively. Of course, not for me to judge, but Arkady probably should have started and tried himself first as a teacher in an already practicing photography school, with infrastructure, name, advertising, audience, and then we can conclude how good you are for independent activity. maybe you can effectively integrate into an existing project, for a fee, and at the same time successfully engage in commercial filming in parallel ... something like this ... And a book from his pen is another matter. the book may be reprinted.

    • Paul

About the book, this is true! She is needed, and in Belarus I would have bought it for sure. Arkady writes very sensibly. I learned a lot and planted my wife. Thank you so much Arkady !!!

  • Stiv

The book is very good. And God forbid you to publish it and make good money on it. But ... it's not that simple. I am afraid that there may be difficulties with fast implementation. It is imperative to thoroughly work out the issue of implementation.
GOOD LUCK and all the best !!!

  • anonym

Photo courses are good! The main thing is to teach: how to shoot CORRECTLY, and not how to become a SUCCESSFUL bombile! It is necessary to instill in the client the taste and how the photograph SHOULD look. And do not adjust to their quirks! Otherwise, this is just a disservice, and not courses will be ...

    • Onotole

Shooting “right” and instilling good tastes in the majority is the lot of photographers who have nothing to do with commercial photography.
The essence of commercial photography (like any other business) is to earn as much money as possible with minimal investment. And the professionalism of a commercial photographer is that no matter what customers receive the result that was promised, that’s the point.
These are just two different, often mutually exclusive, directions.
Who are you to tell whom and what to do, to determine what is good and what is bad? Why is it worth listening to you?

      • anonym

Oh, you Onotole how you twisted that! Your position reminds me of the position of one comrade with a similar name: like “good” is actually “bad”. If you think that doing “like everyone else” is the norm, then why bother with any schools and courses. Bought Canon with dark zoom, held down to f8 and shoot everything.

And the fact that before you for more than a hundred years, people studied photography, found the best schemes, wrote books, shot masterpiece photos ... And you spit on them! And I rely on this huge wonderful site of Arkady too ...

That is why in our countries there are both stereotyped tasteless photos and worthless films ... Everyone is chasing the money ...

Well, let’s listen to you - we’ll set up more artisans. Let the stupid foreigners take all sorts of cool pictures there. And we will become commercially successful “photographers” ...

        • Onotole

And what is “norm”? “Norm” is what is acceptable to the majority. And yes, if you want a dark zoom at f / 8, or even a dark prime focused on hyperfocal (I hint at phones, if anything) - this is the norm now, whether you like it or not.
The bottom line is that for many professionals in photography, the task is not to bring the good and the eternal to the masses. Waste time, energy, nerves and money (your money) in often fruitless attempts to make the world a little bit better. How do you imagine this in general? For example, shooting a standard wedding with a highly artistic helios instead of a soulless dark zoom? and then explain to the customers that they should still be infinitely grateful for the fact that they received at least a dozen b / w photos instead of a couple of hundred, but with what pattern !, the composition is verified - even insert it into the textbooks !, pay attention to the light - put on all rules, oh what semitones! and in general, you do not understand anything, this is a high art, and you are uneducated ordinary people and you do not even have the right to say that you don’t like such a result.
Yes, such a professional will be without pants in a week !! Is this what you suggest to “artisans” to do?
You either have never come across a harsh reality and live in dreams or knowingly wish for a bad certain layer of professional photographers.
And tasteless and formulaic photos and films are not only from the bad taste of the creators, but mostly from the bad taste of the audience, who “will do just fine”. “People hawala”, have you heard this expression? It means that it is consumers who allow mediocrity to exist, and not only exist, but also be commercially successful. People subconsciously WANT that they have “everything like people”, ie stereotypically, the same weddings - all look like one, only the faces are different.

But now tell me: why do you think you are free to tell, as you put it, “artisans” how they should conduct business? Do you realize that if tomorrow everything is done as one you want, people will simply be left without work?

And if you want to know my personal opinion - I, for the most part, on your side, I also do not like the dominance of mediocrity, tastelessness and stereotyped; although everyone sticks to anyone - “an individual personality”.

          • Alexey

Oh, just do not scold consumers, they want to ride a Lada, not a Mercedes. It's just that it's expensive, like a truly exclusive wedding photography.

      • Andrei

quote from Onotole "... These are just two different, often mutually exclusive, directions ..."
why mutually exclusive? as for me - complementary. Growth in thin. the sphere gives a return when commerch. shooting and vice versa - you comprehend the technique of shooting for the commercial. shooting - you have more opportunities if you want to "say" something in thin. taking pictures.

        • Onotole

The keyword is "often". For really talented people, it happens as you wrote, but this does not happen with everyone.

    • Pastor

As for me, there are two directions, often unrelated. The first is business, the second is art. In art, correct color rendering, exposure, framing, etc. is really important. And in business, it is important to give what the client wants. To instill in him a taste is the business of idealists, not businessmen. It is important for them to get more income with less costs, while if the businessman is good, then they also get satisfaction from their work and from the fact that the customer is also satisfied. And many customers will be happy with the Instagram filters, a couple of b / w photons and a few images. And it is difficult to instill a taste in each pair. It's like you come to a restaurant, ask for a cutlet with pasta, and you have foie gras with croutons. And they say: "We instill a taste for you, foie gras are better than cutlets, eat and be happy." And a man ate cutlets all his life, why should he foie gras. So in photography - if people are accustomed to certain standards of swaphoto, they often want to see the same at their weddings.
Actually, if the customer is looking at the portfolio of a photo-scarf, then he chooses the one whose pictures are closer to him. Well, or, as often happens, they choose at a price. And therefore, business is done by those who know how to promote themselves and show that they stamp the same type of session and give an acceptable level for a low price. And people who really shoot well either sit with a small number of orders, or compromise and take off as customers want, and express their artistic impulses in their free time.

      • Andrei

Do not tell me, students of great artists? They were not or are they unknown?

        • Pastor

Well, in general, I'm not a big expert in this matter, but the Internet tells me that Van Dyck was a student of Rubens, El Greco was a student of Titian, Korovin - Savrasov, Shevchenko - Bryulov. There are many more examples. But more often than not, either the student was far from the glory of the teacher, or, on the contrary, was many times superior to the teacher. There are very few cases of one great teacher being replaced by another great student. This is in the army, if the father is a general, then the children are at least colonels :) In art it is more difficult to get out like that - you have to have your own talent. Although you can remember the singers with the mouth of the Russian stage, who got out at the expense of their parents, but there is almost no connection with the art :)

  • Alexey

Arkady! I request a post announcing the D7500 - I need a place for discussion.

  • anonym

There is a saying: "Do not throw pearls in front of pigs!" Can be applied in many cases.

When a person comes to a specialist and asks for help with a problem, for example, to a doctor, he can't stand his brain - I don't want green green paint, anoint it with brown iodine. If he tries to show off, he will be sent far and for a long time! And there are many professions where you cannot argue with a specialist. Duck what Organa, everyone has become such intelligent and understanding esthetes that they argue with a professional photographer ?! So shoot yourself if you are so smart. I've been filming myself as I like. It is clear that real pros are seldom encountered, mostly “nedo-resellers” who differ from the customer only by the presence of a DSLR. So then these two “geniuses” create what kind of thread “masterpiece” ...

In short, the topic is philosophical. And it can only be solved by cardinal methods by some NKVD specialists, you yourself guess how ...

  • anonym

Well, for sure .. s - the editor, four attempts - to zero, because he was named after his own…. Arcadia immer wieder Respeckt !, in spite of the tailed editors.

  • anonym

Arkady, appear in our area - I'm ready to pay 30 European tenge for an hour of communication with the master ...! Good luck and further success!

  • Alexander

Hello, dear Arkady. Although I’ve never been anywhere on your very favorite site, I finally could not resist and decided to thank you for the LABOR that you did!
In 2013, having shoveled the info from a variety of photo sites, he discovered Radozhiva and didn’t turn to other sites. I have never met such an understandable and comprehensive information about the principles of photographing and general practical advice on photographing in various conditions.
Once again, many thanks to you and congratulations on the bright holiday of Easter! Christ is risen!

  • Andrei

After reaching a certain threshold of popularity, such resources go completely onto commercial footsteps (clients were working on), why run through photo sessions if you can mow loot without leaving your home. + 1 in favor of the fact that there are no altruists.

    • KalekseyG

Fuck the conclusion! The train of thought in my head is peculiar. I spent a lot of years working on this resource just to make an advertisement for myself. So much time, effort, nights, days and ... .. In order for some network inadequate to make such a conclusion (I wanted to write - I came to the conclusion, but in order to come somewhere it is necessary to strain, including mentally).

      • Andrei

“Inadequate” is an interesting word, I think that Arkady is a very able-bodied person, and after photo shoots and maintaining the site ((So much time, effort, nights, days)) he has enough free time to teach the suffering (he wrote this article exclusively for this purpose).

        • KalekseyG

Inadequate squared. No need to redirect my words to the other side, I did not write about Arkady. This is quite evident from my text.

  • anonym

Arkady is great! Good luck to you! The main thing to remember is that the teacher is responsible for the knowledge that he invests in students!

  • Alexey

Thank you very much for your help in choosing a lens for my Nikon D90. Good luck and new interesting shots.

  • Sergey

I did not find the contact form on the site, how to properly notify you of the lens, for review, if you want!

There is an old SIGMA 55-200 4-5.6 HSM - but you don't have it in your reviews ...
If you want, I can send it for review.

Not a WOW lens, but happy with it
If anything - write to the mail - I will send

  • Maria

It seems to me that it’s stupid to mock about the sphere of application of forces.
If we judge in general by a person's interest in reviews, this just says that. that he is interested in systematizing, generalizing, and, therefore, teaching this very system that he has built for himself.
Just one review can tell a little to a beginner; in an individual lesson, it’s easy to understand what spaces are typical for people. Personal communication is another way to improve reviews. This is already in the treasury of psychological experience.
In general, I am very happy for Arkady, who has found yet another sphere of application for his talents.
And the price is generally communist, for such now not every tutor will advise a child ...

And money, all of a sudden, is always invested to “recoup” it. There are just amateurs, perfectionists. Those who will not earn a dime from their hobby, but it is important for them to do something for their souls. but don't get off. It is unlikely that a player who plays a musical instrument will do this without knowing musical notation or without having some elementary playing skills.

    • B. R. P.

      Fair. And kote is good.

  • Tatyana

Dear photographers, we need your advice. In addition to phot-tu KENON 700 d I want to buy a compact for travel. Choosing between Canon PowerShot G1 X and Canon PowerShot G15 I would be grateful for your answer. I want a good quality photo and video is also important…. With respect. Tanya.

  • Igor

    Good afternoon. Please tell me,
I read it on the Internet and sometimes I come across this definition: Multifocal mode of the camera.
    What is this?

    • Aleksey68

what are we talking about? not about a litro camera, by any chance?

  • Alexander

    Isn't it?
    “EverSharp multifocal recording for
    clarity throughout the image.
    EverSharp's multifocal recording mode uses
    focusing motor to obtain multiple
images at different focal lengths by pressing
    buttons. Special algorithms and software
SmartView® allows you to combine images,
shot at multiple focal lengths, and create
high-definition images not only at the origin
focusing, but also on the periphery. As a result, you will get
impressive images with superb quality. ”

    Dear, please scold!
How bad is my HELIOS-44M 2/58 compared to the rest?
After hitting the lens (tore off the screws, etc.), put the mechanics in order, did not touch the lenses.
