This review shows the lens. I50U 3,5 / 50 with the logo of the Lytkarino Optical Glass Plant, Lytkarino, serial number N7510.
I did not find no significant differences between I50U 3,5 / 50 (LZOS logo) and I50U 3,5 / 50 (logo NPO 'Optics'). The lenses are only slightly different in case design.
Sample Photos
On camera Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi I used a lens with two adapters: M42-Canon EOS + M39-M42. Some photos were taken using macro ring M42 different thickness.
I50U 3,5 / 50 does not have a focusing ring. It is impossible to focus with this lens in the usual sense of the word. The lens is always focused at a certain distance. It is very convenient to focus by moving the camera towards or away from the subject. It is very convenient to use I50U 3,5 / 50 s macro rings different thicknesses, which allows you to change the focusing distance and magnification.

Use with modern cameras
Lenses with an M39 mounting thread (for enlargers, M39 X 1 / 28.8), such as the lens from this review, are very easy to use on modern cameras, just select correct adapter. On lens reflex cameras can only work in macro mode (shoot small objects with a short focusing distance). On mirrorless cameras, it will be possible to achieve focus on infinity. The cheapest adapters can be found aliexpress.com.
For use on modern digital SLR cameras Canon EOS need M39-Canon EOS adapter, you can buy such an adapter (adapter) here. Also, an adapter M39-Canon EOS can be easily replaced with two adapters: M42-Canon EOS + M39-M42. In any case, the lens will always be focused at close distances.
An adapter is required for use on Nikon SLR cameras M39-Nikon F, you can buy such an adapter (adapter) without a lens and a chip here. Also, one adapter M39-Nikon F can be easily replaced with two adapters: M42-Nikon F + M39-M42. In any case, the lens will always be focused at close range.
For such a lens, I advise you to additionally buy macro rings with M42 thread, for example here.
How to use this lens with cameras of other systems (Pentax, Sony, Fujifilm, Olympus, Panasonic, Samsung, Sigma etc.) - ask in the comments and you will be prompted. If you have any questions on compatibility and adapters, ask in the comments (comments do not require any registration at all, any user can add a comment).

Material prepared Arkady Shapoval.
Given all the amenities and unmatched ease of use such as:
1. "It is very convenient to use I50U 3,5 / 50 with macro rings of different thicknesses ..."
2. "It is very convenient to focus by moving the camera towards or away from the subject ..."
3. "It is very easy to use (I50U 3,5 / 50) on modern cameras ..."
as well as “highly spiritual and artistic drawing”, ingenious design, excellent appearance, workmanship and other advantages of “I50U 3,5 / 50 with macro rings of different thickness”, one thing remains: all “professionals” urgently get this miracle and forget about infamous western technique! Thank you, neighing :-)
Draw your pictures.
And juvenile morons are getting dumber and dumber ... (((
It is also enameled! Cool!
Typical teen with ponte snotty
... tell me, where can you buy enameled extension rings?
... what about adapters? Enameled))))
Your sarcasm is inappropriate here. Arkady does not impose anything, he simply introduces the capabilities (not even very bad) of this penny glass. Well, before writing about the "shameful Western technique" it would not hurt to think a little, it is even better to try this lens yourself and appreciate the work of a person who can take a good photo on a tin can, for example, to many "professionalAnals" who sometimes write on this site
This is not sarcasm, but the bydlism of modern photo-players
... This is what it means: hands grow from the right place ...
It remains only to select a hood and reduce the area of the front lens in order to reduce the area of incident light on the matrix and into the camera cavity and its re-reflection, as evidenced by very light pictures of flowers and “normally exposed” photos of a candle. It's still a full-length crop lens.
but not easier from Zenith take it? it was a version for a magnifier
Good day, Arkady! I am interested in Nikon's AIS 105/4 micro macro lens. You, by any chance, do not have a test review on it? I would be very grateful. Thank you in advance for your response.
And I like that, already about 20 years old, I took out in a suitcase to the trash. Hurried, alas. :( And the picture is very cute, for creative shooting. I like it.
Yes, they give him a dollar price, or even give it away for free.
no matter how much it costs, most importantly straight arms)))
Thank you very much, Arkady, for your help in choosing a lens !!! Your site is just a storehouse of information, everything is very accessible and understandable even for dummies !! Thank you for answering questions, you really helped me
Thank you, Arkady, for the digression into the possibility of this seemingly unprepossessing, but very sincere lens design and for high-quality photos.
