I will call Tamron PZD Di 28-300mm F / 3.5-6.3 Piezo Drive VC Model A010 in the review - Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3. Here I am reviewing the version for Nikon FX cameras - A010N.

In short

Tamron PZD Di 28-300mm F / 3.5-6.3 Piezo Drive VC Model A010 - one ring to rule all! This refers, of course, to the zoom ring, which allows you to set the focal length from 28 to 300 mm. At the time of this writing, there were no lenses for full-length cameras with a higher zoom ratio. In general, this lens is not bad, much better than the previous version Tamron 28-300VC 020... Its optical scheme was stuffed with so many different 'super' elements that it could not be otherwise.

Tamron PZD Di 28-300mm F / 3.5-6.3 Piezo Drive VC Model A010

History

Tamron has been making super-zooms for full-size cameras since 1992. The first model is considered Tamron AF Aspherical 28-200mm 1: 3.8-5.6 Model 71D. Tamron is almost always ahead of the competition in creating all-new lenses with a huge zoom ratio.

Tamron 28-300 mm lenses:

And there are still two copies of the A06 / A061 lens under the brand name 'Promaster Spectrum':

  • Promaster Spectrum 7XR AF Aspherical LD [IF] 28-300mm 1: 3.5-6.3 Macro
  • Promaster Spectrum 7XR EDO AF Aspherical LD [IF] 28-300mm 1: 3.5-6.3 Macro

Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 (from this review) was introduced simultaneously with the model Tamron 16-300 / 3.5-6.3... Lenses are very close relatives, only the first is designed for full-frame cameras, and the second is for cropped cameras. Externally and functionally, the lenses repeat each other, therefore this review will be very similar to the review Tamron 16-300 / 3.5-6.3. Among the fundamental differences between them, we can only distinguish:

  • Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 is designed for full-size cameras (Di marking), Tamron 16-300 / 3.5-6.3 Designed for cropped cameras (Di II marking).
  • Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 lens has no attachment 'MACRO '(the possibility of macro photography). This marking is on the lens box. Tamron 16-300 / 3.5-6.3. As a result, the maximum magnification factor for Tamron 16-300 / 3.5-6.3 makes 1: 2.9, and at Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 only 1: 3.5.
  • Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 uses better Tamron BBAR enlightenment instead of Tamron MLC in Tamron 16-300 / 3.5-6.3.
  • The lenses have different optical schemes and give different zoom factors: 11 X for Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 versus 19 X for Tamron 16-300 / 3.5-6.3.
  • Use different blends: HB016 Tamron 16-300 / 3.5-6.3 and HA010 for Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3.

In all other respects (design, weight, equipment, focusing motor, filter diameter, focusing speed, stabilizer, etc.), the lenses do not differ.

Tamron PZD Di 28-300mm F / 3.5-6.3 Piezo Drive VC Model A010

Assembly

The lens has metal bayonet mount. The inside of the lens, as far as one can judge from the view from the back of the lens, is made of plastic. The zoom ring (zoom) is rubberized, wide and pleasant to use. I was visited by a completely new lens in which the zoom ring rotates a little tightly, but nicely. When changing the focal length, the front lens does not rotate. The retractable frame of the body (trunk) consists of two plastic sections. The focus ring is not rubberized, but pleasant to handle.

Stated that the lens has waterproof (moisture resistant) designwhich prevents moisture from entering the lens. In the instructions for Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 PZD about security there is no data. Near the mount is rubber compressor, protecting the bayonet mount from dust and moisture, which undoubtedly pleases.

The lens is made in China. Despite the large zoom ratio, Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 has a fairly compact size and low weight. Overall, touch, lens assembled efficiently. I did not find any obvious flaws. In addition, in the box with the lens, I found a warranty card for 5 years.

Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 PZD has a nice body design with a gray tungsten strip between the focus distance window and the focus ring.

The Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 PZD utilizes a sophisticated 'Multi-Stack-Cam' zoom mechanism (more commonly referred to as'Multiple Cam Mechanism'), which allows you to make a strong retractable front part of the frame, which consists of two parts. It is also stated that this technology allows for smooth changes in focal length, and the mechanism itself is made in a compact form.

There is a bayonet mount mark and a mark on the case for quick installation of the hood. The lens uses a plastic lens hood Tamron HA010 (MADE IN JAPAN), which is fixed in special grooves located near the front lens of the lens. The hood can be installed in the opposite direction for transportation. In this position, access to the zoom ring is a little difficult. When you change the focal length, the lens hood moves with the front of the lens. Due to the huge spread in focal lengths, the lens hood is maximally effective at 28 mm of focal length and practically ineffective in the range of 200-300 mm.

When changing the focal length, the rear lens moves in the middle of the lens body like a pump - it draws in and pushes out air. This behavior of the rear lens is called 'vacuum cleaner effect', which can increase the amount of dust that accumulates in the camera. In Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3, the effect of a vacuum cleaner is quite pronounced.

I would also like to note the light weight of the lens. Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 weighs a little over a pound - 540 grams. It weighs exactly the same and Tamron 16-300 / 3.5-6.3. Now attention: a similar lens Canon 28-300 / 3.5-5.6 L IS USM weighs 3 (three!) times more - 1660 grams. Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 weighs even less than the 'shorter' Nikon 28-200mm 1:3.5-5.6D.

Lock 'LOCK ′ (ZL - ZOOM LOCK)

Frame (trunk) for Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 does not spontaneously change its size under its own weight. Perhaps such an unpleasant phenomenon can begin only with time. To avoid this, there is a focal length lock 'LOCK' (the so-called 'zoom lock') on the lens body, which tightly locks focal length at a value of 28 mm.

To fix the trunk of the lens, you must first set 28 mm focal length. In the fixed value, a red bar is visible near the button.

The switch is located in a not very convenient place - under the index finger of the right hand. Before shooting, 'removing the lens from the lock' is not very simple.

Stabilizer

Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 can use built-in image stabilization. The stabilization function is inherent only in lenses for Canon and Nikon, for Sony cameras the lens is produced without a stabilizer (there is no 'VC' mark in the lens name).

There is a VC ON / OFF stabilizer operation switch on the lens. The stabilizer works almost silently.

The manufacturer does not indicate the effectiveness of the stabilizer. In practice, Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 holds about 3 stops on shutter speedwhich is quite good. I was able to take pictures of stationary objects from hand to hand without any problems shutter speed 1/30 sec and 300 mm focal length. If you try, you can take a good picture even for 1/10 of a second and 300 mm of focal length. Generally, the stabilizer works well. I did not notice much difference in the stabilizer with the lens Tamron 16-300 / 3.5-6.3.

The gallery has pictures at 1/4 second and 28 mm of focal length and 1/20 second and 300 mm of focal length.

Nowhere is it indicated whether the stabilizer can track the movement of the lens during panoramic shooting. Unlike the original Nikon 28-300 / 3.5-5.6G Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 does not have a choice of Active / Normal stabilization modes or the like.

Tamron PZD Di 28-300mm F / 3.5-6.3 Piezo Drive VC Model A010

Focusing

To focus, the lens uses a special piezo ultrasonic focusing motor 'PZD' (PieZo Drive). Everywhere it is written that this technology uses silent focusing, in fact, there is no escape from focusing noise. During focusing, the focusing system may crackle and hum a little. During real work with the Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 lens, there is a special difference with micro-motors Nikon SMW I did not find. How the PZD motor works here. Tamron USD motors (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) are much faster than Tamron PZD.

Important: this lens will automatically focus on all Nikon DSLR cameras. Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 is an analog of the Nikon series lenses AF-S / AF-I, Nikon SWM.

When used on a camera Nikon D90 (with unpretentious Multi-CAM 1000 focusing system), as well as on the camera Nikon D70 (with super-simple Multi-CAM 900 focusing system), the lens behaves well, rarely focuses incorrectly. I had no problems with focus accuracy and focus. On camera Nikon D90 I checked the presence of the back and focus front at different focusing distances and different values of the focal length (infinity and MDF as well). Pictures taken using the Live View mode (which does not suffer from back / front focus) were used as a measure. Focusing accuracy using phase sensors completely coincided with the Live View mode. The flaws with the back and front focus that I observed in Tamron 16-300 / 3.5-6.3, I did not find Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3.

Auto focus speed medium (closer to low). Focusing time from infinity to MDF and back is approximately equal to that of the lens Nikon 28-300 / 3.5-5.6G. I noticed that the focusing motor focuses from infinity to MDF much faster than in the opposite direction. Focusing speed weakly depends on the selected focal length.

Focusing on Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 internal - when focusing, neither the front nor the rear lens rotates, and the lens itself does not change its size when focusing.

During auto focus, the focus ring remains stationary. In manual focus mode, the focus ring rotates approximately 135 degrees. When extreme positions are reached, the focus ring does not rest, but continues to slide, without affecting the focus. Manual focus is not particularly comfortable, but still better than in many budget lenses.

The lens has a window with a distance scale with marks in meters and feet. The scale is small, on it there are marks only for 30, 7, 3, 1, 0.49 meters and a label of 'infinity'. Such a scale in itself is of little use and is present more for show (justification of this thought here).

The minimum focusing distance is only 49 cm (the distance from the camera sensor to the subject). With this MDF, the maximum magnification ratio is 1: 3.5. This is a very good indicator for a lens of this kind. True, compared to the previous model - Tamron 28-300mm 1: 3.5-6.3 Model A20, macro shooting capability has deteriorated. The previous model was labeled with the 'Macro' prefix and could shoot at a maximum magnification of 1: 3.

Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 has focus mode switch 'AF / MF'. For manual focus, the lens does not have to be set to 'MF' mode. The lens uses full mode FTM (Full Time Manual Focusing) - the ability to constantly manually control focus while using the 'AF' mode. FTM mode completely similar Nikon M / A. As soon as you touch the focus ring, the auto focus turns off, it doesn’t matter which focus settings are set in the camera.

The effect of F / 6.3 on focus:

The instructions for most Nikon cameras indicate the threshold for the maximum relative aperture of the lens with which correct auto focus will be available. Most Nikon cameras are designed for lenses only. no darker than f / 5.6. For example, camera Nikon D90 и D70using which test shots were taken, theoretically should not work correctly with this lens. But nevertheless, as my practice has shown, in conditions with good lighting there are no special problems with automatic focusing even on cameras that are not designed to work with lenses with F / 6.3. Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 goes beyond F / 5.6 at a focal length equal to 140 mm, at this value, the maximum relative aperture is already 1: 6.0.

You can find a list of Nikon cameras whose focus sensors can easily focus with lenses with a maximum aperture of F / 5.6-8.0 here. Among full-length Nikon cameras, only older models Nikon D3, D3s, D3x and D700 cannot work normally with F> 5.6. For Nikon DX series cameras, the situation is much worse. At the time of this writing, there were only three Nikon DX cameras with the ability to work with lenses with F> 5.6: D7100, D7200, D500. In Live View, the restriction on F / 6.3 may not work.

The same remark applies to cameras from other manufacturers. For the Canon system, see 'Focus Sensors Canon EOS'.

At the time I wrote this review, there were only two super-zooms with a similar zoom ratio that use F / 5.6 at their long end - this Nikon ED AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm 1: 3.5-5.6G SWM VR IF Aspherical и Canon ZOOM LENS EF 28-300mm 1: 3.5-5.6 L IS USM. Unfortunately, Tamron only makes its super-zooms with F / 6.3 at the long end.

Features:

  • Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 has no focus problems in Live View.
  • The lens transmits the focus distance to the subject in the camera (analog Nikon D, Nikon G).
  • The Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 does not have a hard infinity mechanical stop that allows you to accurately and quickly focus the lens to infinity under any ambient temperature conditions. For precise aiming at infinity, you cannot just bring the focusing ring to the end position marked 'infinity'.
  • At 300 mm of the focal length, while focusing on the MDF, the distance from the front lens of the lens to the subject is approximately 18-19 cm. If you shoot 'macro objects' located on a horizontal surface, when focusing at the smallest possible distance, you can hook blend this very surface.
  • When changing the focal length, focusing is lost. The lens is by no means parfocal.
  • Important: Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 is a third-party lens. It may happen that it will not work correctly with the new Nikon cameras, which will be presented after the announcement of this lens. Details on this issue are considered by me. here.
  • It's important. The lens has a pronounced 'Focus Breathing' effect (changing the viewing angle during focusing). When focusing on MDF at 300 mm focal length, effective focal length equals approximately 150 mm.
  • There is no depth of field scale and no mark for working in the infrared spectrum.
  • Focus shift (shift-focus) was not noticed during operation and testing.
  • There is no focus distance limiter. For example, Nikon 28-200mm 1:3.5-5.6G such a limiter has.
  • Unknown compatibility with teleconverters.

Tamron PZD Di 28-300mm F / 3.5-6.3 Piezo Drive VC Model A010

Quality

This is the first lens in which I have counted 10 special optical elements. More than half of all lenses are 'special' of some kind. Actually, the use of such optical elements first of all made it possible to make a lens of such a compact size and with such a low weight. I am amazed at the optical properties of the lens when used on Nikon DX series cropped cameras. By the way, the 28mm MTF plots clearly show how the curve falls, reaching the APS-C limit of the sensor. It seems that the lens was designed more specifically for cropped cameras.

Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to drive the lens on a full-format camera, but on cropped cameras with an APS-C sensor, the lens behaves well. Surprisingly, the sharpness in the center of the frame is within the norm over the entire range of focal lengths. Unfortunately, distortion is noticeable over the entire range of focal lengths, which is higher than normal in this lens. Also, strong chromatic aberrations were not without, I am afraid that on full-format cameras in the corners and edges of the frame with chromatic aberrations everything is very bad.

The main advantages of the created image:

  • good contrast over the entire range of focal lengths
  • good sharpness on open apertures in the range of 28-200 mm, sharpness drops slightly in the range of 200-300 mm
  • good color rendering
  • even circles in the blur zone due to rounded petals aperture. Compared to previous model Tamron AF Aspherical XR DI LD [IF] 28-300mm 1: 3.5-6.3 VC Macro the number of petals decreased by 2 pieces.
  • good macro mode
  • not bad for dark super zoom, bokeh

The main disadvantages of the image:

  • strong distortion 28 mm small distortion over the rest of the focal length range
  • a large number of chromatic aberrations, especially in the television range
  • most likely poor sharpness at the edges and corners of the image on full-size cameras when shooting on open apertures

Separately, I want to note that the lens behaves well in the backlight. Obtaining flare is very difficult, only at 300 mm of focal length, if you try very hard, you can achieve tangible spurious flare.

Nikon modern cameras can automatically correct some of the shortcomings of modern original lenses, such as vignetting, distortion, chromatic aberration etc., in the case of Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3, some third-party software will have to be used (or not used) to remove some distortions. This is critical for shooting in JPEG or TIFF format. When shooting in RAW format, some of these shortcomings can be easily eliminated in most modern RAW converters. For Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3, there is a profile for the popular ACR, Lightroom, etc. programs.

Sample Photos

Pictures in the gallery below are shown without processing. Everything is taken off hand. During shooting was used safety filter Matin 67mm MC UV. Please note that the first gallery shows only the stabilizer. Almost all pictures taken at the limit values excerpts from 1/4 second to 1/20 second. Also, note that the stabilizer allows you to remove the shake (shake) of the camera, but does not allow you to get rid of the movement of the subject. A snapshot of people at the bus stop demonstrates this very well. In nature photographs, at shutter speeds of about 1/20 second, the image is blurred due to the movement of twigs / birds, etc. Only fully stationary objects can take off at slow shutter speeds, such as a view of the temple.

Spoiler: vibration from the operation of the mirror (or from the shutter, or the diaphragm control mechanism) is very strongly felt on the old woman Nikon D70. This camera has poor mirror damping, which greatly affects the operation with shutter speeds longer than 1/100 of a second. For work with a 50 mm lens and Nikon D70 best used excerpts no longer than 1/125 second. I encountered this unpleasant feature when creating a review Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm 1: 1.8, MKII version, NJ (NIKON JAPAN). In general, I would say that Nikon D70 loses stop by shutter speed due to vibrations from the mirror. The operation of the mirror is so unbalanced that it even gives up during shooting. This is most likely due to the fact that in Nikon D70 first used a reduced mirror. Before Nikon D70 Nikon D1 cameras, D1H, D1X, D100 although they used a smaller sensor of the APS-C format, they were built on the basis of film cameras and inherited a large-format large mirror from them. IN Nikon D70 Apparently, the new mirror control mechanism has not been fully finalized. Live and learn.

The names of the lenses are indicated according to the inscriptions on their body. Do you know similar lenses or any useful information on them - please add it to the comments. To this list, I would also add a similar lens with 10x zoom for Sony full-frame mirrorless cameras - Sony FE 3.5-6.3 / 24-240mm OSS.

My experience

I liked Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 much more than the version for cropped cameras Tamron 16-300 / 3.5-6.3. The lenses themselves are very similar, but the Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 version does not have such focusing issues as Tamron 16-300 / 3.5-6.3.

I recommend Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 as an alternative to the original Nikon ED AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm 1: 3.5-5.6G SWM VR IF Aspherical. Tamron 28-300 / 3.5-6.3 is not much worse than the original.

In the future, I want to see a lens with a set of focal lengths 24-300/350/400/450, because EGF sprinkled Tamron 16-300 / 3.5-6.3 makes 24-450 mm. It will also be great if the lens comes out with the specification Tamron SP (Super Performance) and becomes a complete analogue original L-ki and Nikonovsky options with a gold border.

Results

The Tamron PZD Di 28-300mm F / 3.5-6.3 Piezo Drive VC Model A010 is a noteworthy lens. The huge zoom ratio allows it to be used for a huge number of tasks. Sorry, with aperture such universal lenses are not doing well.

The limousine in the first second seems like an ordinary car, blurred from movement)))

Excellent, 300 shoots even better than my Tamron 70-300. Very good bokeh.

    • Oleg

      But distortion fails at 28mm

  • anonym

It seems funny to me that the lens is made in China and the lens hood in Japan

In the version for 16-300 in the Philippines. Everything is very strange :)

and the shaggy model already fell into the frame, I recognized her)

I don’t know, Arkady, whether you set the bar too high, but I’m a little disappointed that the review does not contain his tests on a full frame, especially at a wide angle, there are really no portraits ... You quickly get used to good things.

    • Arkady Shapoval

      Thank you, I will consider.

  • anonym

    pzd? ZBS!

    • Arkady Shapoval

      BBAR

      • Oleg

At the beginning I did not understand, then I laughed for a long time. Abbreviation of course at Tamron for the Russian ear ...

        • Arkady Shapoval

Therefore, in the video review I had to say exactly "Piezo Drive"

  • Oleg

All the same, it’s a pity that there isn’t any 24-135 for the full frame. In Kenon, everything is limited to 24-105 or an old 28-135. Nikon has a little more fun 24-120

  • Evan

And the picture quality in comparison with the native Nikkor does not win due to 10 super duper elements?)

    • Arkady Shapoval

Specialist. Elements are made both for picture quality and for compact lens sizes. As for the quality - Tamron is darker, on the same F / 6.3 native Nikon will be better. Perhaps only the Nikon backlight flare will have more.

    What is this temple? Beautiful.

    • Arkady Shapoval

Vladimir Cathedral, I have a good shot from there with the S5 Pro, here this.

The question is Cosmos .. why are second-tier manufacturers still getting around FE? Samyang is already in the subject, but tamron and sigma are sleeping.

    • Arkady Shapoval

Tamron began to do under E-mount, for example, 18-200 DiIII.

    • Ivan

FE is it like a full frame?
I suppose that it is unprofitable: scratched on a carcass and scratched on branded optics, or it will use the tested adapter.
      And I would do that.

      • Arkady Shapoval

Actually, it would be nice if FE made successful lenses that already exist.

  • Sergei

I really like Tamron lenses, they have some kind of secret….

    • Yarkiya

Well, yes, until you buy them.

      • Oleg

And then you will sell for a long time and to no avail ...?

Forced to answer a comrade. This is really so, I also noticed this many times as I constantly work with Tamron lenses. Maybe there are always more real glasses in them, or some special really high-quality elements save the day and give out great pictures. When my 17-50 di, non VC surpassed by 5,6 and 6,7 all fifty dollars in sharpness and everyone around was convinced of this (we reshoot books for them on a pentach camera where sharpness is especially important at the edges, almost all lenses failed this exam with photographing Chinese books printed in small print on the edges of books, but not this cheap tamron wearing the Pentax K-01 !!!). You also look at the very good Tamronov 24-135 and see for yourself what picture it produces, goyorth that the zooms do not have a picture, but this cheap zoom confirms the opposite. I also think that all this talk about "drawing" the lens comes down precisely to the drawbacks of lenses, due to which they draw technically incorrect images that can be used for creative purposes. Remember, Leica once convinced buyers that their fifty dollars helped to concentrate on the main subject of shooting, covering up the fact that then it was impossible to manually calculate the lenses that gave sharp angles, and then removed this marketing trick when everything was straightened. Here's another example - Keno's 24-105 / 4. Personally, I began to notice that I never take it with me anymore - it gives a technically flawless picture, a little soft, but everything becomes so natural, which sometimes makes me sick and put the photos in the archive. But the old Kenon 24-85, cheap at times, always gives out interesting photos, as if fighting life with me ... By the way, this lens proves once again that pushing all kinds of optical glasses into the lens does not greatly increase its cost, as it is we are presented with nonsense (the record holder is Leica, he put one aspheric in an ordinary fifty kopeck piece and the price immediately rose to $ 7500 !!!).

  • Serg57

A very useful review for me. I choose 28-300.

  • Oleg

And what's the point of testing the FF lens on an ancient crop? It’s a pity, a useful review could turn out.

  • ferom

Here is a review. But how does PZD focus in video mode?

  • Alexey

Hello. Give advice. Choosing a lens for travel. On the crop, I carried sigma 10/20 and 18/300 with me. Switched to full to full frame Z6. Now I choose from 1. Tamron PZD Di 28-300mm F / 3.5-6.3 Piezo Drive VC Model A010 and 2. Nikon 24-120mm f / 4G ED VR AF-S Nikkor. I don't want to carry a lot of lenses. Subjectively, according to the pictures on the Internet, I like 24 \ 120. But I can't find good pictures from 24 \ 300. According to the review, it seems like a sharp lens. I would be fine with any comments.

    • Novel

No, well, naturally, 24-120 will be better (and noticeably better) at its focal lengths than the universal 28-300. If you are satisfied with the loss of the entire TV range (and for a tourist this is a significant loss), take 24-120. I would still take two. The main one, so that the bottom is wider - 24 and 28 - a rather big difference and a dark telephoto with a stub.

If you travel to places where there is something more interesting than cats on the railroad, a set of focal points will be more important to you. Locals from afar to flick in some exotic costumes or interesting situations, details of architecture, whatever. I do not imagine a trip without a telephoto on the road. I will sacrifice the central part of the range better, for me (in terms of a full frame) 16-35 and 100-400 are more important than the central 35-100.

      • Alexey

Thank you Roman. The point is that I don’t want to lose the telephoto capability. I’ll take a couple of lenses with me, wide and I want a super zoom. Hopefully the iso and shutter speed compensates for its darkness a bit. Another new one from Nikon has appeared with a z 24/200 mount, I will also take a closer look at it, but there is still little information on it, there is still time.

        • Ivan

Native Z-ki are better than lenses for F, and even with an adapter. Reviews show that the new lenses are slightly better in performance than those for the mirror. In addition, they are made for multi-pixel cameras, with a future in mind. What was the point of taking the Z6 and saving on lenses?

  • Igor

Today I found out the compatibility of this glass with the D780 - alas, tamron engineers in the ru-segment say that the camera periodically loses the lens and needs to be reconnected. It is not planned to solve the problem. It's a pity, I wanted to buy this particular lens, I settled on Nikon 24-120mm f / 4G ED VR AF-S (Nikon's 28-300 in my area costs twice as much as the subject from the review ...)

    • Arkady Shapoval

      thanks for the info

    • Aleksey68

you can disassemble the lens, find the reset circuit of the microcontroller and make a button connected to this circuit somewhere on the side of the lens.
