According provided by Nikon AF Nikkor 28-70mm 1: 3.5-4.5 (MKI, NON-D) lens is huge thanks to the store www.fotika.com.uawhere you can find a huge number of different used photographic equipment, including similar lenses.

Nikon AF Nikkor 28-70mm 1: 3.5-4.5 (MKI) was the first Nikon lens to use hybrid aspherical elements. Unlike conventional aspherical elements, hybrid elements made it possible to significantly reduce the cost of lens production and maintain decent image quality. Subsequently, the hybrid aspherical elements migrated to Nikon AF Nikkor 28-70mm 1: 3.5-4.5D (MKII)and then to Nikon AF Nikkor 28-105mm 1: 3.5-4.5Dwhich has become a substitute for Nikon AF Nikkor 28-70mm 1: 3.5-4.5D (MKII).

Nikon's hybrid aspherics are made as follows: a special resin is injected between polished spherical glass and an aspherical metal mold and irradiated with ultraviolet light to form a glass resin (plastic) of a hybrid aspherical lens.

There is already an overview on Radozhiv Nikon AF Nikkor 28-70mm 1: 3.5-4.5D (MKII, D). In this review, I will describe only the differences between the MKI and MKII versions:

  1. The MKI version was released from June 1991 to September 1992. The MKII version was released from September 1992 to December 1998.
  2. MKI is not able to transmit the focus distance to the camera and is'Non-d'lens (this key difference in the functionality of the lens). With the lens'Non-d'harder to get the right measurement exposure, especially when using the flash in some automatic modes. Also, with a D-type lens, it is much easier to control the distortion level using special functions built into the camera or software.
  3. MKII uses updated enlightenment. The MKI front lens has a green tint, the MKII version has a purple tint.

I did not find any other differences between the lenses.

Olden time Kenny claims to have produced 100.000 MKI lenses and 250.000 MKII lenses.

A pretty wagon for a crop ... Arkady thanks for a review, PS - First

    • Oleg

28mm on the crop will be narrower. Arkady, well done almost every day reviews. 5 +++

  • Igor

I liked 35-70 more on the bokeh, otherwise the picture is very pleasant.

  • Andrei

Recent reviews from the D90, but where's the 700, Arkady?

  • Yarkiya

42 - 105 on a crop neither here nor there, unfortunately. And yes, somewhere quietly disappeared photographs from seven hundred and 3200 and the heap. Did you have to sell them all to buy 90? :)

    • Arkady Shapoval

      Temporarily reviews on d90 :)

    • Michael

It's not the same for everybody. I liked 28-70 on crop more, instead of 18-55.

      • Kirill

        Support!

I have a similar 28-80. And even on a crop, it is quite convenient to use it when compared with 18-55 due to the large focal lengths at the long end. Of course, the wide angle is lost, but if you know that you won't need it, then 28mm is enough. And at 70mm it is already quite possible to shoot a portrait, chest or even front. And 4.5 washes the background better than 5.6 for a whale. In general, as the only all-rounder, such a lens will not go for crop, but as a zoom for street and portraits, it will do, especially considering the quite pleasant price.
And in ff this is generally a godsend. I tried my 28-80 on the d700 and d800. The second, of course, the lens does not pull at all, but on the d700, pictures come out quite suitable, and the order is sharp. For myself, I concluded that the old cheap Nikkor zooms are quite interesting glasses and are definitely worth their price.
Special thanks for the frequent reviews of interesting lenses :)

I really liked the photos from a bunch of this zoom and d90. But how everyone here was spat on d90! And do you see him having a blue balance instead of a white balance and filthy colors compared to SSD and a noisy matrix, etc. It turned out that this is a completely civil camera. It turns out that it all depends on the hands of the photographer. Apparently with d800 the same story. Different fools do not know how to use technology and then spit it out and the skinton is not the same and the colors are not the same.

    • Arkady Shapoval

You need to get used to each camera. CCD color can not be compared, but it has its advantages. Here we used the neutral image control mode (NL), with different settings for hue, saturation and white balance. Now I like to play around with all the possible camera settings in order to immediately squeeze what I want from it.

      • Oleg

That is, immediately need a jeep?

        • Arkady Shapoval

Yes, immediately the desired result. In RAW + JPEG format on d90 I do not shoot, because it slows down. Then I just show RAW with the original software without any additional settings (I inserted a USB flash drive, batch converted RAW, chose the best result). Native software shows a picture that is the same as on the camera’s display, in fact, the same as RAW + JPEG.

          • Oleg

            Thank you

I do not agree with you, my dear! It is very easy to powerfully and relish spitting at one or another consumer dissatisfied with the properties of technology. Of course, you need to thoroughly study the technique you own and adapt to its peculiarities. But ... Every buyer of photographic equipment, regardless of the length of service and experience, secretly hopes that the acquired equipment, at least in the main, will correspond to a huge and bright, like the Sun, advertising, and far, far from every potential owner has the opportunity to pre-test somewhere such the same technique is on the side to draw conclusions. That is, it is always buying a pig in a poke. And having already bought this "bag of happiness", you find out that they have not slipped a cat at all. Based on my many years of experience, I conclude: D-90 is a good reporter camera of high reliability without the ability to work at sensitivities above 1250 units and poorly adapted for portraits in color, even despite the abundance of settings. Computer color grading is usually complex and confusing due to the ORIGINAL color mess. And optics have nothing to do with it! If it is supposed to be mainly portrait specialization, it is better to prefer NOT NIKON AT ALL. Surprisingly, for me the model for portraiture is still Kenon 10-D.

all the same, this design and the lenses of Nikon themselves turned out to be the most sincere

  • Alexey

Yes, they’re funny, and the picture is warm.

  • Jorge Acuna

We are now in 2022. But…(and is a BIG but…) This zoom is terrific… Extremely sharp, good colors and no signs of any crap.. It´s just fantastic.
