Comments: 346, on the topic: Nikon has announced the Nikon D500, Nikon D5, Nikon SB-5000 and 2 more new lenses

  • Anatoly

I would like to look at the graphs for these lenses ..
The second version is already in terms of quality and resolution, despite the fact that it was a whale, almost all the glasses that had been released before it were torn on high matrices. For 24MP matrixes, only two budget glasses could provide a resolution of 18-55 BP2 and 18-140 ..
It is interesting to search and look at the characteristics of these

  • zengarden

It is written that the list of supporting old cameras is limited + a new firmware will be required.

    • Arkady Shapoval

Again, jambs with compatibility with Nikon :(

      • Felix

It seems to me that a new "breakthrough" is awaiting us in the amateur technique of the d40 type, only now there will be no support even with g optics: DD

        • Felix

Nikon looks in the direction of Canon so that I get scared so that they don’t cut the rope at all in the amateur segment and do not transfer everything to an electronic diaphragm.

          • Alexey

Last year, Nikon patented lenses with an electronic aperture.

            • Arkady Shapoval

He already releases them in all - https://radojuva.com.ua/2014/05/nikon-e/

              • Alexey

Well, I decided to keep up with the canon and here :) But Felix is scared! )))
By the way, Nikon D500 has been released there today, finally a new AF module and finally a replacement for the D300s. waiting for the replacement of the D700 in 2017? )

      • Lynx

it is reflashed. Recently there was firmware on the d7000 / d7100 to support E lenses

        • Felix

But now I didn’t mean the support of E lenses on modern cameras, but the fact that Nikon can release an E kit and a camera WITHOUT a mechanical diaphragm leash in general (for example, d3700) which will not work with r optics. This step is similar to the step in 2006 with the D40 camera which lost the motor with almost complete absence of motor optics ..

          • Lynx

            unlikely

          • Lynx

though ... don't care to be honest.

    • Alex_L

Yes well done fellows d500 crop only forgot to add a flash (a serious drawback). Apparently it will also be sold as Df. For enthusiasts spending a lot of money without holding the camera in their hands.

  • BB

The first line of the text contains two identical names (apparently 'VR' is missing somewhere)

    • Peter Sh.

It looks like one with VR and the other without. For state employees, like me.

  • Ustoff

Focusing motor for video, sharpened probably ...

  • Dmitry K

it is necessary to stimulate the purchase of new carcasses, otherwise, out of stupidity, they made quality ones - they have been working for 10 years, new ones are not taken. Now, with such compatibility, it is necessary to update everything every 2 years. Mdyaya

  • Alexey

STM motors require specific AF control in the carcass. Nikon seems to have used them in Nikon 1?
Kenon directly points out that STM is primarily for video and that a camera with dual pixel AF is optimal for it.
Nikon once again copies the ideas of Kenon, but forgets about the second part - that the AF should be changed for the SLR now :)))))

    further - even more interesting
So here's the million dollar question: What's the big deal? How is this better than the last 18-55 iteration ...? Do AF-P lenses focus faster than AF-S? More accurate? And why make a VR / non-VR version?
What are these lenses for? Why do they need a STM motor? why one with a stub and one without? ))))))))

Nikon did not want to add video to the cameras for a long time and recently released a DF where the video is simply disabled (yes, but disabled!). now something has changed and nikon will (finally!) pay attention to the video in his cameras ??? ))))

otherwise why all these gestures? just playing catch-up with kenon?

  • Dmitry K

and then the d5 specifications also fitted a flash with cooling. Blade head, judging by the announcement

    • Lynx

      Oh yes!!!
      and flash !!!

      • Lynx

[i] This is the first Nikon Speedlight equipped with wireless radio control [/ i] - on the other hand, there is also a module from Yongnuo strapped to it.

      • Lynx

“In addition, this compact flash's new cooling system provides 120 fires at 5-second intervals or 84 fires at 3-second intervals without overheating.” (from)

        My sb-700 often works.

      • anonym

        phahahahaha!

  • Lynx

Eeeee !!! Nikon now has a camera with a rotary touch screen, with the ability to indicate the "focus point" on it, as well as to flip and scale photos with gestures!
On the latest D5 super-duper camera with as many as 53 (153) focus points and the ability to work on Wi-Fi !!!
Price at the time of announcement - $ 6-7 thousand

The same screen and Wi-Fi have the canon (models 650d and 100d for 20-25 thousand rubles, the announcement of 2013) and Olympus (omd5, omd10, the same announcement and price)

    • Lynx

[i] This is the first Nikon Speedlight equipped with wireless radio control [/ i] - on the other hand, there is also a module from Yongnuo strapped to it.

    • Lynx

      D500 .. ahaha!

Nikon, if I didn’t want to laugh at the lack of items “magnesium body, shockproof protection, moisture and dustproof” FIG, I would have troubled with your official announcements, where there is not even a normal Russian description on the Russian site.
I would go further to watch “Elementary”.

And what do we have in the descriptions of “finally arrived and no longer needed mega-new-de-three hundred?

      “Operating conditions Temperature: 0 to 40 ° C / 32 ° F 104; humidity: 85% or less (non-condensing) ”.

      - and ... that's it!
Nikon - well-oo-oo ... you already understood about the route, right? )

Since 2013, the unfortunate Olympus has been releasing cameras OFFICIALLY supporting from + 40C to -10C! (not to mention the official dust-enemy protection) And this is in the presence of a park with FULLY or partially waterproof, dustproof lenses.

For 2,5 years! At the same 2,5 years as a touchscreen (hello! There is no touchscreen in the d500), a rotary screen, a normal Wi-Fi, control of the aiming point and work with frames on it, protected lenses and carcasses with a minus temperature of work - this is already NORM. Not a breakthrough, but NORM!
      2,5 years, Karl!
Nikon, who needs you, with his ugly miscarriage, the fetus of the unnatural connection of the D750 and Yongnuo, conceived under the showy portrait of the D300 ??

And a flash, which finally has a lousy radio channel (+ ugly control module inserted into the carcass on the left - hello broken USB port!) And works no better, no faster and no more often than sb-700 (and even with the loss of the leading number)?

      • anonym

You somehow don’t even look like yourself with such comments.

        • Lynx

          “I’m all so sudden!” (C)

          • Somebody

In general, of course, a pichalka.
Kazzly are dumb, to be honest: ((((((((((((((

Damn, bitch, where was this d400 / 500, when the boots gave birth to a seed, and then the second seed ?!
Where, to spit, was d5, when Dyks appeared ?!
Chozanahren with this video - nikikon is trying to bite the boots on the ass, tunnels ?!

Instead of BZ - a misunderstanding, a soap dish with interchangeable optics - some kind of trash.
Instead of competing with canon - dust from under the hooves and "and we, too, will do it!" - and zilch.
Consider no top box, sports shooters and poultry - welkam that canon, where can you go, little buggies.

            Some kind of crap.

Right now, pentax will give birth to FF - the priest grabbed the balls, when was Easter ?!

That's right - I understand now why the canonists do not care - competitors are blown away by themselves, one after another.

            Freaks, damn it: (((((((((((((((((

            • Lynx

              about! sincerely approve!

        • varezhkin

+1 everyone knows that any camera Nikon fulfills standards to -15 at least.

      • brighty

Lynx with these comments, looks like m. Smith from the matrix in which Alexey moved. It's time for the exorcists to call. ; D

        • Lynx

Ninado is here for me !!!
My doctor says I'm on the mend.

      • wharfage

while reading, THREE TIMES he looked up to the heading, rechecking:
“Was it a lynx or was it a trolexey writing? ...”))

        • Lynx

No, well, really ... the announcement of a model with such performance characteristics (and even with the flash removed) would have been good and would have exploded the market 2-3 years ago, at least.
And building up the pluses in a year or two.
But now? Claimed as a professional crop reporter for $ 2000?

          • Denis

Nikon D500 will go on sale in March at a price of $ 2000 for the “carcass” and $ 3070 for a kit with an AF-S DX NIKKOR 16–80mm f / 3.5–5.6 G ED VR lens.

it turns out that the dark sprinkled whale is more than 1 thousand dollars

            • Denis

ops, it looks like there is a bug in the news I read - the lens is lighter (actually F / 2.8-4.0)

              • Lynx

and indeed, 2,8 at the wide end and 3,5 already from 20 mm it certainly costs 1000 bucks.

            • Yura

              Denis, I saw today the D500 equipped with an AF-S DX NIKKOR 16−80mm f / 2.8 G ED VR lens (not 3.5-5.6)

            • Yura

              ... sorry, NIKKOR 16−80mm f / 2.8-4

          • varezhkin

everyone was waiting for this particular carcass, with a superOVI and the right buttons .. TTX are generally secondary here.

            • Lynx

              So how? tons of enthusiasm?

              • varezhkin

I do not know. haven't read it yet. but it seems to me there will still be stingy men's tears of happiness. after all, how many were whining about the d400 ...

        • Alexey

I love sectarians. when the same facts are said by their spiritual guru (like Ryska) and an outsider, they enthusiastically listen to the guru and do not listen to anyone else. and turn on the brains and think independently, weakly ??? )))))
The facts do not change :)))) this is an objective reality. and you have to think on your own based on facts. D500, as Ryska correctly noted, is another hint :))))

          • Dim

I love technodrochers flooding everything around with their truth. I hope your organisms are cleansed and you feel better. I do not like the device - it would seem to pass by, but no ones are pouring out.

      • anonym

        It's sad, but I agree.
It is not yet clear from the small picture whether there is a leash for transmitting the aperture value to the camera.

      • Irakli

        Operating environment 0 - 45 ° C / 85% RH - Canon EOS-1D C
        Processing medium - temperature
        0 to +40 ° C - Nikon D5
from office manufacturer’s sites, what's the difference?

        • Lynx

go to the off site .. well, for example, Olympus and look there TTX omd 5, omd em1.

        • Somebody

          So there is no difference.

Only the disi has already been issued, evaluated, sold, passed and forgotten - and it was, no less, a practical video camera with DSLR functions.
And d5 is still just waiting impatiently, wondering about the performance characteristics.

And pentaxes are protected, and not badly protected.

The mirror boom has passed (fortunately), and the leading (!!!) brand is only trying to wake up and release something like that.
Mirrorless - will pass too, and the same leading (!!!) brand is marked on the market with some kind of clown crafts.

EMNIP - Nikon is the only one who dared to make glass in China, isn't it?
Those. Aunt's handicrafts can be taken without problems, shoemakers also seem to keep the brand, and the Orthodox should not relax - caveat emptor, look, look well, oh, wolves!

        • Victor

This winter at -23 for 3 hours I photographed on my nikon d 750 and not any problems. And those who hait d 750 and other new models from nikon just from the opportunity to buy them and therefore praise the junk where 400 ISO is already porridge. compare them with lovers of Zhiguli. not because this is the best car….

    • Peter Sh.

I like this. I’ll probably buy it.

      • Lynx

        approve!

      • student

and I will buy, Nikon d610, for sane money.

  • BB

    On Nikon D500 we got a built-in flash ...

    • R'RёS,R ° F "RёR№

one red eye from her, I do not use))

      • BB

Once every five years I use to shoot small things (with a piece of paper as a diffuser-reflector).
In general, after all, it can be used as a master, to control remote ones - both with TTL and without (this is used much more often).

  • Evgeny_d60

Judging by the expression of the reviews, in a few years there will be heated debates which is better - Kenon or Olympus

    • Lynx

      * Fuji or 4/3

  • wharfage

I really love this site for an accessible and complete presentation in a simple language of complex things.
And this news is out of style - so this time I went to the trunk for understandable Russian ...

    • Arkady Shapoval

Many were waiting for the d300s replacement, and it appeared, this is important news for the entire photo community.

      • Lynx

yeah .. only this D300s is the same as the d750 - seven hundred.

        • Maugli

Come on. It’s quite a replacement.

      • Lynx

And in general - a good spoon for dinner.
a couple of years ago - it would have been good, but now, who needs it so much ??

        • Maugli

The same photographers who need 7Dmk2. For example, to shoot wildlife, not everyone can afford D5 / 1Dx.

          • Lynx

mhahaha ... there is an old man 300s for wildlife, there is a new Canon 7d2.
D7200 again. What kind of unique and necessary thing is there in this carcass for which you need to pay 2 pieces of bucks?

            • Maugli

7D2 at the start of sales cost 1800 USD, the price of D500 will also fall. On paper, in terms of characteristics, this Nikon is good, Multi-CAM 20K autofocus sensor module with TTL phase detection, fine-tuning, and 153 focus points (including 99 cross sensors and 15 sensors that support f / 8), of which 55 (35 cross sensors and 9 f / 8 sensors) are available for selection, Detection range -4 to 20 EV (ISO 100, 20 ° C / 68 ° F) True, Canon is much better with “available” telephoto cameras.

              • Alexey

Maugli, the top crop market is not that big. top crop at a price already more expensive than budget FF. As a result, the D500 will fall on the market where there are already D7100, D7200, 7DMk2, and all of them are almost two times cheaper than the D500. While it gets cheaper, people will buy something else :)))) As usual, Nikon's marketing on the moon has not yet returned. If they made D500 for 1200 dollars - it would be a bomb! ))) as well as another box on the shelf in the store.

              • Maugli

I agree that the D500 should have been released at least in early 2015. And it’s very difficult to compete with 7D2.

              • Lynx

                “It was smooth on paper”….

  • Maugli

The D500 and D5 are certainly good, but with the D700 it somehow didn’t work out very well again.

    • atypical Kiev

What does the D810 not suit?

      • Maugli

And you, for example, ask the author of the blog. Who already the devil knows what 700-ku "stopped", but does not go to 800/810.

        • Lynx

          one.
eight hundred for its purposes is simply redundant ..
and six hundred after seven hundred - well, it’s not at all serious.

      • Alexey

you try to work with D810 (D800) and then speak. )))
Nikon has no replacement for the D700. at kenon it is 5DMk3, the price for today is 2300 dollars. D500 - 2000doll :))))

        • Andrei

          >>>> you try to work with D810 (D800) and then speak. )))
Well, really, what is so irreplaceable in this d700? How is she good?

        • Oleg

Worked with this pair at the same time, compared. d810 (but not d800 \ d800e) just there is a replacement d700. It’s better in everything to list just laziness. So take it easy guys. Stop d700, buy d810 and shoot further, earn on d4 \ d4s \ d5 and incidentally on BMW x5. Good to all :)

          • Somebody

Where? In the studio girls spud?
For siscophoto 810 - yes, quite, no doubt.

And for a natural product it is inconvenient. And a bucket of nedopuxels is superfluous.
The d4 was great but redundant, and the d700 is versatile, the d8 ** is not. That's the whole difference.

Nobody says that the box is bad, but the manufacturer is trying to divide the market into niches by selling three boxes instead of one.

But I don't need three, I need one. And she is d700.

            • Oleg

              reportage

            • Lynx

You are simply not at the level to evaluate all the needs of D4

    • anonym

      D700 is deprecated! Hopelessly!
D500 - Essentially unnecessary, although a counterweight to the 7D.
D4 / D4s / D5 are expensive, and not all of those reporters who are sold out are enough for a small megapixel photo at a crazy sensitivity for a blog. And few publishers will buy it for good money, so that the price tag will beat off the cameras!
D600 / 610 is an inconvenient viewfinder (I am silent about 1/4000) and most importantly - oil / dust!
      D750 - upgraded D610. now without oil?
      D800 / D800e / D810 are ideal. Just perfect!

But the best news is that we have developed new autofocus and metering sensors!
So, something like the D850 / D900 with a 54-megapixel sensor and new chips will be released within a year!

      • Lynx

As has been said many times, Dx is a series that people buy for serious work.
And in serious work, this cost is not so prohibitive money, and they will pay for a suitable tool.
        Like a 3 * 3m CNC machine and a coordinate board on a vacuum.
It is clear that to buy such a circle in skillful hands, to cut out postcards - as it is not too thought out.

  • anonym

but I only have 1 question for a new one - what's wrong with the color))))

    • Lynx

      D7300 slept with generosity. )))

  • grandfather

maybe it will be cheaper to switch to another system?

    • Lynx

      Yes.

  • anonym

Meanwhile, on the site, the UP button was made as in social networks - a strip on the left, EEEEE !!!!!!!!

    • Lynx

      yes! progress! (just like Nikon)))

  • grandfather

    I sympathize with the Nikonists.

    • anonym

      sympathize with the illiterate

      • grandfather

thanks for sympathizing with me 71 so that sclerosis,

    • Alexey

well, it is difficult for the sectarians to explain something :)))) they see clearly and clear the noodles from their ears, but very slowly. Look, how many Ryska squeaked and trolled, but still it dawned on him that Olympus, Sonya and Kenon are obviously much better choices than Nikon today. In my opinion, even the most ardent fanatics, it is obvious that Nikon rushed in pursuit of the canon with his STM lenses, that the D500 was an attempt to jump into the departed top crop train. D5 with a price tag of $ 6500 is purely academic interest :)
Why 500K video on D4? with a jumping aperture, without normal AF in live view, without a lens park with STM motors, on a crop (!) with its large depth of field? and note - the video loves to catch moire, to get rid of it you need to ... AA filter! ))))

      • Lynx

dragging something from nikon I jump for completely different reasons. He has enough suitable devices, the same D300 or D500

  • AM

Ha ha ha This is a hotbed !!!

  • Lynx

In general, to be serious - stand this D500 At least 1000-1100 bucks, I would seriously consider staying on the system. Well, ok, 1200 - I would have saved half a year, at the same time the tests would have already passed from everyone and glitch catchers.
But a carcass of $ 2000 for the functionality, in fact, of a new top-end mirrorless camera (along with a good reportage kit included) and a price of $ 1000 ... with the latter being compact, lightweight and convenient ...
No, not no .. call, alas.

    • anonym

I beg you not to jump from Nikon. We will miss you that way.

      • Lynx

alas, nothing is done after sprinkling on Nikon.
If only on Df quietly distort.
        And I need it?

        • Denis

due to the lack of a stub in the canon's carcass, and a translucent mirror, Sony has only one normal manufacturer - Pentax

          • Maugli

If we discard the lack of cameras with a matrix size of 36x24.

          • Alexey

exactly. which tells tales about FF for 3 years, has already been sold several times, and has a market share within the measurement error. their contribution in the last 5 years is the use of non-disconnectable noise controllers in the RAV, at one time they were compared a lot with the D7000. )))) Pentax is not famous for anything else, except that the lousy BZ system and colored cases. standard boxes on a standard Sony matrix. it's better to buy Sonya or Nikon :)

  • grandfather

A65 passed and I'm not worried. There are a bunch of manuals. I use it. also minolta .ceus.tamron. NOT ADVERTISING AND PRACTICAL ADVICE COMMANDS I DO NOT SEE SORRY FOR LITERACY.

  • Peter Sh.

What?! They again changed the shape of their favorite red stripes ?!
Well ... well, I’m moving on to Kenon!

  • Sergei

Who needs SUCH renewal and even for that kind of money ... I do not understand what they think, in what place, but not with their heads. Let them now try to sell this yesterday at their prices for the next decade. Sadness, however.

  • grandfather

Fair? I think I wasted my time on this page. Cameras about nothing, talk too. The market will decide. I recently had a chance to shoot Nikon with a whale. I don’t even know which model. Probably something like 5200 or 3200. and the lens sticks out of a whale, as it’s unusual. But it's not that. His AF LED shines so that it dazzles, but there’s no sense. The lens crawls meeo-meeo-slowly, but doesn’t want to aim. I had to spit, switch to the manual and remove. Kenon is also not a gift with light bulbs, but everything is much faster and better there.

I should note that the canon can illuminate the focusing object with a built-in flash - a sight not for the faint of heart.

Yes unfortunately. first used, and then scored. either manually or af on an external flash.

I remember once, in demonstration performances, one maman from the audience was shooting her child like this, on Kenon with flash lighting. It looks like a signal floodlight on a ship.
There is an irresistible desire to shoot.

To buy a crop for 2000 green? Most likely for newspapermen ...
