Briefly about the Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8 lens (MKII version)

Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8 (this review presents the second version, which is often called MKII) is a fast wide-angle prime for Nikon full-frame cameras. In short, it is a compact, inexpensive and quite usable lens.

Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8 MKII was introduced back in 1991, at a time when the world ruled the film. At one time it was a very tidbit for many photographers, in our time it is outdated, as it was replaced by Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8D. On the other hand, Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8D uses the same optical design as the lens from the review. By the way, by the standards of Nikon, the lens Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8D Until now (already for 2020!) It is considered an actual model and has not been removed from modern catalogs and official sites.

Unfortunately, amateur, and therefore budget Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8 MKII lenses and Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8D nowadays do not have a similar modern replacement. They are morally obsolete: they use an ancient screwdriver focusing mechanism and an ancient optical system, do not have internal focusing, a bayonet hood and various modern innovations.

The 24mm Nikon AF Nikkor 1mm 2.8: 24 MKII focal length is a kind of borderline between wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle optics. Of the fixes wider than the Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8 MKII, there are only 'twenty' - Nikon AF Nikkor 20mm 1: 2.8D и Nikon N AF-S Nikkor 20mm 1: 1.8G ED SWM RF Aspherical Nano Crystal Coat. It’s not as easy to work with super-wide angles as it seems, they require some skill, but with a 24 mm lens everything is much easier. No wonder universal professional zoom lenses such as Nikon N AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm 1: 2.8G ED SWM IF Aspherical, Nikon N VR AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm 1: 2.8E ED и Nikon ED AF-S Nikkor 14-24mm 1: 2.8G VR N SWM IF Aspherical, at their short and long ends, capture this focal length.

Although Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8 MKII is outdated, still its potential, even in our time, is enough for high-quality photographs. The lens can be used for architectural and landscape photography, it is well suited for indoor shooting. Nowadays, the capabilities of Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8 MKII are increasingly overlapping with the capabilities of fast zoom lenses. However, the old Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8 MKII attracts attention with its durable assembly and low price.

I want to note that some professional photographers leave only a few fixes for themselves with a set of certain focal lengths, and very often a 24 mm fix is found in their backpack.

History of 24mm Nikkor Fixes

Nikon has been releasing aperture 24mm lenses for a very long time. Below I briefly described all the major versions in chronological order.

The range of amateur lenses 24 / 2.8:

  1. Nippon Kogaku Japan Nikkor-N Auto 1: 2.8 f = 24mm - 1967-1971. PRE AI version... The optical design includes 9 elements in 7 groups. This is the first Nikon lens to feature the Nikon CRC system. The prefix 'N' in the name of the lens denotes the number of elements in the optical scheme and stands for 'novem' (nine in Latin).
(Close Range Correction) - correction of the image at short focusing distances, built on the principle of floating elements in the optical scheme. Provides good image quality at all focusing distances.
  2. Nikon Nikkor-N Auto 1: 2.8 f = 24mm - 1971 to 1972. PRE AI version... Renamed previous version (instead of 'Nippon Kogaku Japan' classic 'Nikon'). The optical design is still the same.
  3. Nikon Nikkor-NC Auto 1: 2.8 f = 24mm - from 1972 to 1975. PRE AI version. Updated previous version. The optical design is still the same. The update affected the type of enlightenment. Additional letter 'C' in the lens name indicates special enlightenment ('C'oating).
  4. Nikon Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8 - from 1975 to 1977. The so-called 'K' version... It differs from the subsequent version 'AI' by the absence of a second scale for direct reading of the aperture (ADR scale). Updated previous version. The optical design is still the same.
  5. Nikon Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8 - from 1977 to 1981. AI version. Optical design of 9 elements in 9 groups. An overview of this version can be viewed here.
  6. Nikon Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8 - from 1981-2005 (in fact, at the end of 2015 this lens is listed in a number of current manual focus lenses in the 'Manual-focus' section on Nikon official website). AI-S version. The optical design is the same as the previous version.
  7. Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8 - 1986 to 1991 (MKI version). First autofocus version. The optical design is the same as the previous version. The version is easily recognizable by a narrow plastic focus ring and aperture lock in the form of a button.
  8. Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8 - from 1991 to 1994 (MKII version). This version is shown in this review.. The optical design is the same as the previous version. It differs from the MKI version with a rubberized focus ring and aperture lock in the form of a slider.
  9. Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8D - from 1994 to the present day (at least until 2016), the MKIII version, better known as 'D'-version. The optical design is the same as the previous version. It differs from the MKII version by the ability to transmit the focusing distance to the camera and some minor details.

I want to note that all class 24 / 2.8 lenses use only two optical circuits. From 1967 to 1977, an optical scheme of 9 elements in 7 groups was used, from 1977 to the present day - 9 elements in 9 groups. It's a shame that since 1977 all lenses have been built on the same optical design. Roughly speaking, Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8D, which is still considered an actual model (at the end of 2015, see the screen below), is built on the basis of an optical circuit developed 40 (forty!) years ago.

But Canon has a similar line of lenses in 2012 was updated to an amazing lens with stabilizer - Canon Lens EF 24mm 1: 2.8 IS USM.

Nikon gives out old lenses for actual modern models

Screenshot of the official website http://imaging.nikon.com/lineup/lens/index.htm taken on 10.12.2015 (in 2020 the situation has not changed!). Nikon describes old lenses as current modern models. The lens is highlighted in color Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8D (official name Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm f / 2.8D)

The range of professional lenses 24 / 2.0:

  1. Nikon Nikkor 24mm 1: 2 - from 1977 to 1981. AI version. Optical design of 11 elements in 10 groups.
  2. Nikon Nikkor 24mm 1: 2 - from 1981 to 2005. AI-S version. The optical design is the same as the previous version.

Unfortunately for many photographers, the 24 / 2.0 lineup did not receive its autofocus continuation. At one time, the 24 / 2.0 line was considered professional, and users had a choice between unpretentious 24 / 2.8 and advanced 24 / 2.0.

The range of professional lenses 24 / 1.4 and 24 / 1.8:

  1. Nikon N AF-S Nikkor 24mm 1: 1.4G ED SWM RF Aspherical Nano Crystal Coat - from 2010 to the present day. Optical design 12 elements in 10 groups. There is a built-in focusing motor (SWM), low dispersion (ED) and aspherical (Aspherical) elements in the optical scheme, special nanocrystalline coating of optics (N), internal focusing (RF).
  2. Nikon N AF-S Nikkor 24mm 1: 1.8G ED SWM Aspherical Nano Crystal Coat - from 2015 to the present day. There is a built-in focusing motor (SWM), low-dispersion (ED) and aspherical (Aspherical) elements in the optical system, special nanocrystalline coating of optics (N), internal focusing (IF).
  3. Nikon Nikkor Z 24mm 1: 1.8 S - since 2019 to our days... Version for Nikon mirrorless cameras with Z-mount. Scheme with 1 ED and 4 aspherical elements, special nanocrystalline coating of optics (N). Two focusing stepper motors.

It is very strange that users of the Nikon system had to wait more than 20 years (from 1987 to 2010) to get an autofocus lens with aperture more than f / 2.8. In the same time Canon Lens EF 24mm 1: 1.4 L USM was introduced 13 years earlier than Nikkor. Nikkor Lenses 24 / 1.4G and 24 / 1.8G belong to the professional line of Nikon lenses and are a very good working tool in the hands of a skilled photographer.

On the side there is another 24 mm highly specialized lens:

  1. Nikon N PC-E Nikkor 24mm 1: 3.5D Tilt / Shift ED Aspherical Nano Crystal Coat - from 2008 to the present day. 13 elements in 10 groups. It is a lens with perspective control. One of the first lenses with electronic aperture.

Unlike all the listed lenses, PC-E 24 / 3.5D is used only for very highly specialized tasks requiring perspective control, for example, when you cannot change the point or place of shooting, or for manipulating the depth of field.

Nikon 24mm f / 2.8 AF (MKII version) on the camera Nikon D40x

Assembly

The main reason for upgrading the Nikon 24mm f / 2.8 AF MKI to the MKII version was the flimsy and narrow focus ring. The second version of the Nikon 24mm f / 2.8 AF received a nice rubberized focus ring, similar to manual lenses.

The lens is perfectly assembled. Despite the fact that most of the body is made of plastic (combined polycarbonate) with a plastic thread for the front filter, a plastic focus ring, a plastic aperture ring, the lens feels like a solid, solid thing to the touch. Of course, the Nikon 24mm f / 2.8 AF (MKII version) uses a metal bayonet mount, while inside the lens there is a metal construction responsible for focusing.

The lens can use a metal hood HN-1, which is screwed into the thread of the front filter. The diameter of the front filter is small, standard size at 52 mm. This lens still uses the old-style front cover.

Focusing

Nikon 24mm f / 2.8 AF (MKII version) focuses very fast. While working on camera Nikon D700 I had no complaints about the accuracy, tenacity and speed of auto focus.

During focusing, the front lens moves back and forth, but does not rotate. During focusing, the frame of the body (the trunk of the lens, together with the front lens) extends about half a centimeter. The rear lens, during focusing, moves back and forth and rotates. Due to the very short distance that the rear lens runs, vacuum cleaner effect will not.

The focus ring rotates 90 degrees. During auto focus, the focus ring rotates, at which time it cannot be touched. The focus ring rotates very smoothly, without any friction or backlash.

Nikon 24mm f / 2.8 AF (MKII version) has focus distance scale in meters and feet. There are also depth of field scale for F / 11, F / 16 and F / 22. Nowadays Nikon is lazy and puts on the lens barrel at best 2 marks for the depth of field scale, but old lenses such as the Nikon 24mm f / 2.8 AF (MKII version) have as many as three marks. True, in the days of digital cameras, the depth of field scale is not as important as it used to be, I have described it in more detail. here. Near the focus distance window, you can also find a small white dot, which is responsible for accurate focusing during photography in the infrared spectrum.

The minimum focusing distance is 0.3 meters and the maximum magnification ratio is 1: 8.9. For wide-angle lenses, MDF is very important, with it you can shoot funny pictures with an unusual transfer of perspective. Unfortunately, in terms of MDF, the Nikon 24mm f / 2.8 AF is not surprising at all. For example, MDF y Nikon DX AF Fisheye Nikkor 10.5mm 1: 2.8G ED is only 14 cm, which allows you to do simply breathtaking experiments with the prospect. At the same time, the lens uses an exclusive system Nikon CRC (Close Range Correction - correction of the image at short focusing distances), which allows maintaining good image quality at all focusing distances. Nikon CRC works on the principle of floating elements - during focusing, not only the entire lens unit moves, but also individual optical elements move relative to each other.

The lens has one great feature - it has hard stop (hard infinity mechanical stop) which allows you to accurately and quickly focus the lens to infinity under any external conditions. Modern lenses, especially zoom lenses, for the most part have a focusing ring travel reserve, due to which, when the focusing ring is at its extreme position, the lens can fly over infinity. Such a margin is made for the possibility of focusing at infinity under any temperature conditions, and precise aiming at infinity is carried out by the camera focusing system. Nikon 24mm f / 2.8 AF (MKII version) is designed so that by turning the focusing ring all the way you can always be sure that infinity aiming is correct under any conditions. This little detail is important in astrophotography and landscape photography.

Auto focus with Nikon 24mm f / 2.8 AF lens (MKII version) available only when using him on cameras with built-in motor focusing. An exact and complete list of Nikon CZKs that support auto focus with 'AF' lenses can be found in the 'Auto focus on Nikon cameras'.

Of course, because the lens is focused by the camera's 'screwdriver', the lens and camera make unnecessary noise.

On the lens no focus mode switch, the transition to manual focus and back is carried out by means of a switch on the camera, which is located near the camera mount.

Diaphragm

The lens uses a 7-blade aperture. Aperture blades not rounded, due to which on covered diaphragms in the blur zone can I get nuts from bright light sources. At F / 4, the aperture blades form a hole with notches (and this is not at all serious for such a lens).

The lens boasts a maximum aperture value of F / 2.8, however, as for a fixed lens, the F / 2.8 value is too weak, especially in comparison with F / 1.4 Nikon N AF-S Nikkor 24mm 1: 1.4G ED SWM RF Aspherical Nano Crystal Coat. However, F / 2.8 allows you to work comfortably with optical viewfinder, and also helps out a bit in low light.

The lens has a manual aperture ring. To be able to control the value aperture from camera or for automatic installation aperture on modern central control valves, you need to turn the control ring to the F / 22 value and fix it with a special lever with an orange mark, which is located to the right of the marks aperture. If this is not done, then on a number of cameras, the display will display an error - 'fEE' (ring is not installed aperture) Some cameras having diaphragm rheostatallow you to control the aperture using the ring aperturebut only in metering modes exposure 'M' and 'A'. You can read more about this issue in the section on Non-G Lenses. Ring aperture rotates with clicks, the values F / 2.8, 4, 5.6, 8, 11, 16, 22 are plotted on it. It is impossible to establish an intermediate value between pairs of numbers using the aperture ring. Intermediate values can only be set using the camera menu. The F / 22 value on the aperture ring is orange, the same as the lock indicator near the aperture lock. This is done in order to make it intuitively clear that the latch must be set to F / 22. For any other value of the number F, the retainer does not fix the aperture ring.

The aperture ring for some Nikon DSLRs can be useful for adjusting the aperture while shooting video, you can find a lot of information on this in the 'Aperture and video on the Nikon CZK'.

My experience

I'm not a big fan of these wide-angle lenses, but, whatever one may say, 24 mm is a very convenient focal length. I would use the Nikon 24mm f / 2.8 AF as my wide angle when traveling and on vacation.

At one time I made a discovery for myself that for comfortable work photographer I only need a few fixes with a certain focal length. And one of those focal lengths is 24mm. At one time, I even wanted to constantly use the version Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8D for working purposes but weak aperture and obsolescence scared me from this lens. As a result, this lens was replaced with a zoom lens with the same 24 / 2.8.

Some users of Nikon DX cameras have successfully used this lens as a universal prime lens on their cropped cameras. EGF for such cameras is 36 mm, in fact, the Nikon 24mm f / 2.8 AF MKII turns into a classic aperture 35 on a crop. 24mm is one of the few available focal lengths used for full-frame optics, which allows you to get a fairly wide angle of view on cropped cameras.

In short and frankly, the Nikon 24mm f / 2.8 AF (MKII version) is a solid lens of the last century.

Image quality and sample photos

The main objective of wide-angle lenses is to create an image with a minimum level of distortion. Nikon 24mm f / 2.8 AF (MKII version) copes with this well, the distortion level is small, invisible in most shots. Architecture guru-photographers can easily correct distortion from this lens in handler programs.

The weak side of the lens is the strong vignetting at the full aperture. Only in the area of F / 5.6 does the vignette become acceptable.

Chromatic aberrations present, their level is very dependent on the diaphragm used. The strongest HA Visible at the edges and corners of the image. Some users claim that with this lens HA amplified with aperture closure.

The lens can catch a small amount of glare in difficult conditions, however, with the contrast, the Nikon 24mm f / 2.8 AF (MKII version) is doing well.

What pleased me was good sharpness in the center of the frame. Even at f / 2.8, you can get a very sharp shot from the lens, but only in the center of the frame. At the edges, and especially in the corners of the frame, sharpness at F / 2.8 seriously sags. Closing the diaphragm causes remarkable sharpness in the center of the framebut the edges and corners are still not as good as we would like.

As much as I would not find fault with the fact that autofocus versions of the lens use the same optical scheme as previous versions with manual focus, I should note that in general the image quality with this Nikon 24mm f / 2.8 AF (MKII version) is slightly better. than with Nikon 24mm 1: 2.8 Nikkor (AI version)who visited my review a couple of years ago. First of all, I want to highlight a more correct color rendering and resistance to flare. It is possible that the enlightenment of optics has been significantly improved.

The Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8 (MKII version) is a compact, lightweight and inexpensive wide-angle lens for Nikon FX cameras. Fully worth the money. At closed apertures in the center of the frame, it gives a very sharp image. Unfortunately, the corners and edges are very weak at full aperture and the vignetting is very strong. For digital cameras, it is recommended to use the updated version Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8D.

I periodically use Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm 1: 2.8D on the D700, I am quite pleased with it. The lens is liked because it almost does not break the geometry and is quite sharp with f / 5,6 over the entire area of the frame.

Yes, the noise from the screwdriver is creepy, without an ear plug in any way. And without autofocus on the width, too, nowhere. I also agree that a wide aperture of 1.4 is very necessary, 99 percent of the plots are only 1.4. Yes, another stabilizer. How to shoot a landscape on a tripod without a stabilizer ?? It’s no good. I really need a modern plastic one (and the light one, the extra 50 g will not bother with its terrible weight), with a bodyless motor inside (do not knock the lens, the plastic motor, repair is expensive, but what can you do for the sake of silence in the city center when shooting architecture), and a stabilizer (it works on a random basis, but we came up with a switch, you can turn it off so as not to suffer. Everything is for people. For money, of course). Yes, after five years, plastic will degrade, all these gears and motors. But we will come up with something new, environmentally friendly, light and paper. Come to us more often! Buy for big money, if you have one) But the drop in sharpness to the edge saddens

You are not a Fat Marketer. You are “Fat, very fat. marketer"! :) People-and-and-and! Ou-oo-oo-oo! Where are you! There is nothing to read!: ((Wake up! Why is there no optics rental for little money? I think it is quite a profitable business. Even if the lens does not find its buyer, it will pay off at the rental. This is what I mean, but to the fact that despite the professionalism of the reviews (not only from Arkady) - they are all to a certain extent subjective. From personal experience I learned that until you yourself closely communicate with the lens it is difficult to understand whether you need it or not. But from this I, perhaps, would not refuse with the prospect transition to FF.

How do you imagine the mechanism for protecting a rolling lens from theft (non-return)? If you come up with a share, then I will immediately open such a rental.

Bright, it's elementary. A deposit of 100% of the cost of the goods provided for the service.

          • brighty

Haha ... Let's say I want to shoot from 24-70 for 2 bucks, but I don't have them. What do i do?
I didn’t just ask you, brainwash and suggest a truly working mechanism.

            • anonym

Yes, for that kind of money I’m afraid to rent myself. You, Bright, I think you understand that I was not talking about top-end lenses. We would have something simpler.

If the store works in “white”, then guarantees through the bank. People take goods on credit and for no less money. Somehow, the mechanism sellers and bankers can work better than us, there would be a desire. The main thing is that they do not completely remove the skin from me, but this is a matter of decency and ethics.

          • brighty

Again, not that, I need a passport, say, to go abroad and take off the rental glass. With cheap glasses, the same shnyaga will come out, for the full amount you don’t need to fuck, but for half the price, let's say, I won’t refund and say they’ve stolen, here’s half the price for fifty dollars and up to Svidos.
So, alas and ah, this is a problem, just open a studio and give it out there together with the light and other pribludes, but that's a completely different story ....

            • anonym

In Belarus, they make a copy of your passport and attach it to the standard lease agreement, which indicates the amount of compensation (usually the full amount of the new item). When you take a thing yourself you can estimate how much it will cost you lost / stolen / broke. The risk from both sides: if it really broke / did not look, but was broken, or the unemployed / homeless / lawless person did not return.
There is a photo of the community, where they threw themselves together on an interesting lens for everyone and everything in turn, or on the principle of thing for thing, for a while. When you don’t “bomb” all your belongings every day, you don’t need the skill of using them, and an interesting thing in your hands, with which it’s even pleasant to get lost, is sometimes no less interesting and more useful than boring / everyday shots.

And on Ebee they are almost now gone. :(

Arkady, when will you transfer to a boot or sleepyhead and find peace of mind?
Also not happy with Nikon politics, but there are pluses too.
You need aperture ratio - take 1,8 / 1,4. Stab at 24 is a dubious plus.

    • Oleg

Peace of mind in photography is a complicated thing. There is always something missing

Peace of mind greatly depends on the health of the lip-filling machine. ;)

Thank you very much for the thoroughness and structure of the review!

Good day. I have a D7000 and an 18-105 lens. Tell me, does it make sense to buy a Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm f / 2.8D lens, if we consider only the focal length of 24mm?

    • anonym

Well, if you look from this side, then yes ...

  • Eugene

There was this glass, but not the second, but the first version (with a narrow focus ring). Well, what can I say, in principle, not a bad lens, for the money for which it was bought ($ 190) The images in the tweezer are sharp, a little chromate, sometimes with the effect of 3D was observed in magnification (the image doubled a bit). I sold it and bought 28 2,8ais, which is why I am satisfied, since it is a cut above the picture, etc.

  • Vyacheslav

Hello. I bought myself a Nikon D7000, I’m going to try it, and its sharpness is in the background (I focus on the person’s face, and the sharpness is in the background). Other lenses have all the rules. What does that mean? Tell me please.

    • BAY

You have a fine-tuning autofocus in the camera. There are no problems with the fix. The camera will remember the lens. What is the problem of setting the amendment once?

  • Ivan

I was told that this glass is not suitable for D800 and above, due to the fact that it does not reveal the potential of the matrix. It's right?

    • Arkady Shapoval

For D800 there is a recommended list of lenses, this old man is not included there, that's why it is customary to say that. In fact, this lens is good at covered apertures, and the photographer’s straight-handedness reveals the capabilities of the matrix in 90%. In general, the 24 / 2.8 line, unlike the 28 / 2.8, was considered professional, so far the D-version 24 / 2.8 is on the NPS list. Given the cost of the d800 and this lens, I would look in the direction of something better, for example, 28 / 1.8G.

I use it on the D800 in commercial photography (at weddings), the bride is against the background of architecture - usually I put a hole - 8-11 - and I get beautiful pictures - I'm not afraid of this word - which I consider to be one of the most spectacular, compared with 24mm glasses 24- 85 and 24-70 ... how would you say the contrast on this smaller fix ... but! it holds the geometry an order of magnitude better (the distortion is small) and the contrast is an easy thing - given that I need 24mm in my work very rarely - this fix suits me more than - in terms of size and weight.

  • Vyacheslav V

    example from him ..

  • Victor

What do you recommend for a light, compact, medium-wide travel kit for the d300s - this lens / d version or the 18-55? For poor lighting 35 1.8 and 50 1.8 are available. I understand that 17-55 is better, but we lose in compactness.

    • Arkady Shapoval

The cheapest is 28 / 2.8 AF (any modification). 24mm is a more serious technique. But for travel, I would take any light 18-135, or any tamron / sigma without a stub 18-200.

    • Sergei

If you like the classic angle of the 35th lens and you just need one fix, then this bunch 300s + 24
2.8 works very well, is light in weight and relatively inexpensive. I’ve been renting it for my family most often for three years now, although I still have an old 70-300 4-5.6D in my backpack when traveling. The choice depends on your favorite focal lengths. A fix makes you think more when shooting.

      • Victor

Basically, I shot all the time with fixes, not counting Tokin 11-16, which is also a fix. Sometimes I used an old Olympus mirrorless camera with a whale as a zoom, but problems started there, it just got darker. Of course, it's good to have 17-55, they are not so expensive on the secondary, but lugging around with 1.7 kg is still a pleasure. And 24mm is the golden mean between super-wide and normal 35 1.8.

  • Victor

Arkady, thank you very much for the instant reply!

  • Victor

As I understand it, the old matrices before the 16mp era are not so susceptible to optics, and it is easier to achieve sharpness with them, so old d glasses work fine on them.

  • cad @

How is this lens compared to 20mm., Nikon AF Nikkor 20mm 1: 2.8D? Which is better in drawing, sharpness?

  • Dmitriy

How's the lens in terms of sharpness on crop? And chromatite in comparison with 35 1.8 dx?

  • Eugene

Thanks for the review! Please tell me, on the crop, this lens will be better in sharpness and everything else than the 18-55 whale on the same focal and apertures, that is, 24mm? Or do you get an awl for soap and a gain of only 1 stop aperture, which VR can compensate on the whale?

    • Rodion

On crop, As a rule, such fixes do not show themselves very well.

      • Eugene

Thanks! I looked at different landscapes, which I took a photo of on my 18-55, and also doubted that it would be better to use old fixes, but what is really better is already worth a lot.

  • Victor

Tell me, how much does such a lens cost? Everywhere I see with D

    • Arkady Shapoval

as much as with the letter D. They are optically + - the same and sell them almost always at the same price as the D-version.
