Confrontation systems Nikon / Canon. Part 2. Performance.

In this part of the confrontation between Nikon and Canon systems, a small issue will be raised regarding the performance power of Nikon and Canon cameras.

Very often you can find the phrase “high performance” of a camera, but what “performance” is, very few people really understand. 'Performance' is a complex thing, consisting of several factors.

Processors

The processor is usually responsible for performance. For most users, a processor is an abstract and incomprehensible thing, and therefore nowadays it is easy to “sell” it, just like fake megapixels.

Nikon and Canon have their own line of processors that are being developed and updated, and the big names EXPEED, DIGIC are increasingly appearing in the first lines of the description of the camera.

DUAL - means using two processors.

My experience

My practice has shown that in fact, the coolness of the processor name does not determine anything specific. The manufacturer indicates only the general name of the generation of processors, but it is difficult to find out which chip modification is in each specific camera. For homework, try to find out which processor is using Nikon D3s - EXPEED II or still, as indicated in my tables - EXPEED.

Manipulation example: it may happen that the new processor will not cope with the tasks that the old did. Camera Nikon D5300 with EXPEED 4 processor, using RAW (RAW + JPEG) format with 14-bit color depth, lowers the burst speed to 4 fps. At the same time, the previous model Nikon D5200, with an EXPEED 3 processor, shot without any problems at the same 14-bit color depth in RAW format at 5 fps. Moreover, the Live View image Nikon D5300 can slow down. Why install a new generation processor that cannot handle this amount of data?

TOP 10 (and in fact TOP 33) of the fastest Nikon \ Canon cameras

The performance of the camera is greatly affected by the maximum burst speed.

Since cameras have a lot of features that affect the maximum possible speed of burst shooting, I did not succeed in creating a simple and understandable tablet. The table below has three columns:

  • Maximum speed per second is an accurate parameter that does not need to be explained
  • The list of cameras with standard mode shows a list of cameras that can shoot at the specified speed without using any special techniques. These cameras get top speed when shooting in JPEG format, no additional power source, no exposure / focus lock, using the entire sensor at low ISO. In short, this means that it is enough to turn on the camera, and it will shoot at the declared speed in normal mode without additional complex settings.
  • The list of cameras with advanced mode shows cameras that can be accelerated to the specified values, but only with certain settings / crutches.

Increase the speed of burst shooting for Nikon cameras (or how to knock a tambourine correctly)

Many Nikon cameras can change the maximum burst speed. The speed of continuous shooting is strongly influenced by:

  • using a battery pack or AC adapter
  • different image quality settings, primarily use 12 or 14 bit color depths for shooting in RAW format
  • the use of additional framing modes, in which, to create a picture, not the entire sensor of the camera works, but only its central part
  • ISO settings, Auto ISO, ADL and other advanced settings that can slow down burst speed

Below are all Nikon Central Control Units that change the speed of burst shooting depending on some parameters.

D3 and D3s

Nikon D3 и Nikon D3s in normal mode, FX can shoot at a speed of 9 fps (with any quality settings). In DX crop mode, speed can be increased to 11 fps. When operating at speeds of 10 and 11 fps focus lock completed. All pictures in the series will be taken with the focus that was selected for the first frame. In addition, if the subject is poorly lit, then Expositionselected for the first shot will be used for the entire series. Most likely, 10 and 11 fps cannot be obtained when using lenses with the VR function and / or when using the auto-ISO function (did someone check?). In framing modes 1.2x and 5: 4, the maximum speed cannot be increased and amounts to a maximum of 9 fps.

D3x

Nikon D3x in FX and 5:4 modes can shoot at 5 fps. But bad luck, 5 fps is available only when using JPEG / TiFF or RAW format with 12-bit color depth. As soon as you turn on RAW with 14-bit color depth, the burst speed drops to pathetic 1.8 fps in FX / 5: 4 mode, or 2.6 fps in DX mode. In DX crop mode when using JPEG / TiFF format or RAW format with 12-bit color depth, the speed can be up to 7 fps.

When I was preparing this article, it was a big discovery for me that at maximum quality settings, the Nikon D3x is the slowest camera in the entire Nikon CZK line.

D2x, D2xs

Nikon D2x и Nikon D2xs in normal mode, DX can shoot at a speed of 5 fps (with any quality settings). In crop mode High speed cropped mode speed rises to 8 fps. No additional gestures are required to increase speed.

D700

Nikon D700 in normal mode, it can shoot at a speed of 5 fps (with any quality settings). Using battery pack MB-D10 or network adapter EH-5a / EH-5, the speed can grow up to 8 fps. But, to make the camera shoot at a speed of 8 fps, one MB-D10 not enough. You need to use a special holder MS-D10 with 8 AA cells (batteries or rechargeable batteries). The MS-D10 holder is supplied with MB-D10. Also, 8 fps can be achieved using a more capacious battery. EN-EL4 (from cameras Nikon D2h, D2hs, D2x, D2xs) Or EN-EL4a (from cameras Nikon D3s, D3, D3x), but this requires the optional BL-3 cover (which is not included with the MB-D10). In addition, if you buy a battery EN-EL4 or EN-EL4a, you will have to additionally buy and charge Nikon MH-21 / Nikon MH-22 for it. If in MB-D10 use a regular standard battery EN-EL3e, then the burst speed will not change. Battery pack MB-D10 equally suitable for D300, D300S и D700.

D300, D300s

Speed increase for Nikon D300, Nikon D300s more complicated than for Nikon D700. Top speed Nikon D300 in normal mode is 6 fps, Nikon D300S - 7 fps, and is available in JPEG or RAW format, but only using 12-bit color depth. With a 14-bit color depth of the RAW format, the speed drops to a measly 2.5 fps. Cameras can be accelerated and shot at the maximum possible speed of 8 fps, but only when using the JPEG format or 12-bit color depth in the RAW format and only using the optional battery pack MB-D10 or network adapter EH-5a / EH-5. To force cameras to shoot at 8 fps, one MB-D10 not enough. You need to use a special holder MS-D10 with 8 AA cells (batteries or rechargeable batteries). The MS-D10 holder is supplied with MB-D10. Also, 8 fps can be achieved using a more capacious battery. EN-EL4 (from Nikon D2h / D2hs cameras, D2x, D2xs) Or EN-EL4a (from cameras Nikon D3s, D3, D3x), but this requires the optional BL-3 cover (which is not included with the MB-D10).

In the instructions to Nikon D300 it is indicated that 8 fps is available with any of the above methods. The instructions for the Nikon D300S (page 89) clarify the maximum shooting speeds depending on the batteries:

  • 7.6 fps with an EH-5a / EH-5 power supply unit (apparently 220 V in the outlet is not enough to power the camera properly)
  • 7.7 fps with eight AA elements
  • 8 fps with battery EN-EL4awhat is the most expensive option

D810, D810a

Nikon D810 and Nikon D810a in normal FX mode can shoot at 5 fps (at any quality setting). In 1.2X and DX crop mode with stock battery EN-EL15 speed rises to 6 fps. If you use the camera with a battery pack MB-D12 and battery EN-EL18 (from cameras Nikon D4, D4s) or with 8 AA elements, or with an EH-5B AC adapter, and use the DX cropping mode (DX only), the speed will increase to 7 fps. battery pack Nikon MB-D12 with standard battery EN-EL15 will not help achieve an increase in rate of fire.

For option with extra capacious battery EN-EL18 you will also have to buy a Nikon MH-26 / MH-26a charger and a Nikon BL-5 battery cover, without which it will be impossible to install the battery EN-EL18 to the block MB-D12.

D800, D800E (full analogy with D810, D810a)

Nikon D800 and Nikon D800E in normal FX mode can shoot at 4 fps (at any quality setting). In 1.2X and DX crop mode with stock battery EN-EL15 speed rises to 5 fps. If you use the camera with a battery pack MB-D12 and battery EN-EL18 (from cameras Nikon D4, D4s) or with 8 AA elements, or with an EH-5B AC adapter, and use the DX cropping mode (DX only), the speed will increase to 6 fps. battery pack Nikon MB-D12 with standard battery EN-EL15 will not help achieve an increase in rate of fire.

For option with extra capacious battery EN-EL18 you will also have to buy a Nikon MH-26 / MH-26a charger and a Nikon BL-5 battery cover, without which it will be impossible to install the battery EN-EL18 to the block MB-D12.

D850

Nikon D850 in normal FX mode can shoot at 7 fps (at any quality settings). If the camera is used with a battery pack MB-D18 and battery EN-EL18b (from Nikon D5) then the speed will increase to 9 fps.

20, 20

Maximum speed cameras Nikon D7100 и D7200 in normal cropping mode, the DX is 6 fps and is available in JPEG or RAW format, but only using 12-bit color depth. In DX cropping mode and 14-bit color depth in RAW format, the speed drops to 5 fps. Cameras can be accelerated and shot at the maximum possible speed of 7 fps, but only in the 1.3X framing mode in JPEG format, or in RAW format, but only when using 12-bit color depth. In framing mode 1.3X and 14-bit color depth of the RAW format, the speed drops to 6 fps.

Nikon D100

The maximum speed of the camera is 3 k \ c, but due to the fact that the camera writes data to the memory card very slowly, after filling the frame buffer Nikon D100 takes 1 frame in 6 seconds when using RAW format without compression and 40 seconds when using RAW format with compression. Apparently the camera processor spends a lot of time compressing files. The recording speed does not depend on the type and capacity or speed of writing / reading a memory card. The result is 0.025 frames per second (RAW, 12 bit, lossless compression).

D5300, D5500 and D5600

Nikon D5300, D5500, D5600 shoot at a maximum speed of 5 f / s in JPEG or RAW format, but only when using 12-bit color depth. At 14-bit color depth in RAW format, the speed drops to 4 fps.

Nikon z7

Nikon Z7 shoots at a maximum speed of 9 fps in JPEG or RAW format, but only when using 12-bit color depth. At 14-bit color depth in RAW format, the speed drops to 8 fps.

Nikon z6

Nikon Z6 shoots at a maximum speed of 12 fps in JPEG or RAW format, but only when using 12-bit color depth. At 14-bit color depth in RAW format, the speed drops to 9 fps.

Nikon z7 ii

Nikon Z7 II shoots at a maximum speed of 10 fps in JPEG or RAW format, but only when using 12-bit color depth. At 14-bit color depth in RAW format, the speed drops to 9 fps.

Nikon z6 ii

Nikon Z6 II shoots at a maximum speed of 14 fps in JPEG or RAW format, but only when using 12-bit color depth. At 14-bit color depth in RAW format, the speed drops to 10 fps.

Conclusion on the speed of Nikon cameras

I am seeing a serious problem with Nikon cameras related to the difficulty of shooting in RAW format with 14-bit color depth. I connect these problems with insufficiently powerful processors, and therefore I think that high-profile statements about the use of modern high-performance processors are just a marketing move and do not help cameras shoot faster.

Also, it is unfortunate that in order to achieve high shooting speeds, many Nikon cameras need to buy all kinds of accessories.

On the other hand, Nikon cameras can easily increase burst speed by using the crop mode (DX, 1.2X, 1.3X, 2X, 5: 4) that Canon cameras do not have.

Canon camera rate of fire

Canon cameras also have features related to the maximum burst speed. They are mainly associated with different shooting speeds in RAW \ JPEG format and an increase in shooting speed during focus lock.

Canon 1DX, Canon 1DC

The maximum burst speed in normal mode is 12 fps (but only at ISO values up to 25600). When using the super-high-speed continuous shooting mode, the maximum shooting speed will be 14 fps, but the shooting will be performed with the mirror raised, as a result of which all frames in the series will be taken with the focus set in the first frame (focus will be fixed). Also, 14 fps is available only when shooting in JPEG format. When using ISO 32000 or higher, burst speed will drop to 10 fps. The camera also has some small features related to the temperature regime. Actually, 14 fps not realsince they cannot be shot using RAW and tracking focus.

Canon 1DX MarkII

The maximum burst speed in normal mode is 14 fps. When using the super-high-speed continuous shooting mode, the maximum shooting speed will be 16 fps, but the shooting will be performed with the mirror raised, as a result of which all the frames in the series will be taken with the focus set in the first frame (focus will be fixed).

Canon 1DX Mark III

The maximum burst speed in normal mode is 16 fps. When using Live View, the burst speed will be 20 fps.

Canon 1000D

In the mode JPEG the camera can shoot at a speed of 3 frames per second, but when switching to RAW (or RAW + JPEG) image quality mode, speed drops to 1.5 frames per second. Eventually Canon 1000D Is the slowest burst speed of any Canon and Nikon DSLR.

Canon 1100D

In the mode JPEG the camera can shoot at a speed of 3 frames per second, but when switching to RAW (or RAW + JPEG) image quality mode, speed drops to 2 frames per second.

Canon Speed Summary

With burst speed, Canon’s cameras are much simpler than Nikon’s. The two indicated amateur cameras in the Canon line-up are simply slowly shooting in RAW format, and the most TOP cameras simply climb out of their skin to show 14-16 fps. I note that for Canon there is no need to buy anything extra to shoot at the stated maximum speeds, and indeed, everything is much simpler than Nikon's.

Frame buffer

The performance of cameras is very much affected frame buffer. But, unfortunately, it is very difficult to perform a tabular analysis on the frame buffer for each camera. Please share your thoughts on the frame buffer for different Nikon and Canon cameras in the comments.

TOP 11 cameras with the largest number of Megapixels among Nikon \ Canon cameras

Also, performance can be easily described by the simplest method - the number of megapixels on the camera sensor. And here Canon comes out on top.

Global Outcomes

  • An indication that some kind of image processor is used in a particular camera does not say anything concrete. Nevertheless, I am pleased to realize that in most TOP cameras Canon uses dual processors.
  • Nikon and Canon almost keep the parity with the fastest cameras.
  • The camera with the largest number of megapixels is constantly moving from legion to legion
  • Many Nikon cameras have a maximum burst speed limit due to various conventions. In short, in order to increase the speed of continuous shooting in such cameras, one should either sacrifice image quality (lower the color depth), or lower the resolution (use crop modes), or buy additional peripheral devices (spend extra money).

In general, judging about the performance of systems is very difficult, both systems are very strong.

I expressed my opinion and justification, I await your bright thoughts on this subject in the comments.

  • YURI

It looks like Nikon / Canon systems have one dummy driver, or it seems….

  • glaux@rambler.ru

We took a Cannon 7D (EF 50 F 1.8) and my D7100 (35mm 1,8G + cheap GreenL polaric), went outdoors, in the morning we were in the city where I put on my Tamron 10-24 shirik. Purely practically, pictures of autumn nature closer to 17-00 reveal the advantages of Nikon, bright, juicy colors in jpg - S (both with and without a filter). Photos with a width, again, need to be cropped, since there are simply no edges of the frame, but 24 MP allows you to do this without problems. Pixies are not visible even at 100% crop.
I believe that the picture control mode somehow affects performance, and perhaps the new processor will simply be more volatile.
In fact, the photo comparison: 7D is much faster, for some reason it seems that even with the D7100 battery pack it does not reach the stated 5 fps: 3-4 fps as a rule.
But we took 2 batteries with us (I went without a battery pack, but the 2nd non-native battery for 2550 mAh. 1,5 batteries for a day was enough for me, the 7D did not last until the end of the day. Then we compared the number of frames - the D7100 did better ( I clicked for another 1,5 hours.) The photo on the 7D “reddens”, faded, on the D7100, on the contrary, gives out juicy colors, but the juiciness surpasses the real picture before my eyes.
In fact, Cannon is productive (at least 1,5 times), ideal for reportage or video (there is just a need for fading), but it pays for this with a smaller depth of field, high power consumption. On the D7100, I could not film a moving car, as I did not manage to do on the 7D. In 1,3 mode, yes, it does, but still slower, the buffer is just several times smaller. In short, in terms of performance, my camera loses a lot, but I like the colors more (so what if white “turns green”).
ZY I went to the doctor - gymnastics for the eyes helped: I read the very bottom line - 250% vision :) Take care of your eyes, do not argue for half a night which is better (objectively Cannon in terms of performance), you can buy a new camera, but you can’t get your eyes.

    • Alexey

but pays for it with a shallower depth of field
      =========================================
unclear. in fact, DOF in crore kenon is slightly larger than in crop Nikon.

"The photo on the 7D" reddens ", faded, on the D7100, on the contrary, gives out juicy colors, but the juiciness surpasses the real picture before your eyes."
      =========================================
It would be nice to see the RAVs.
usually kenon has no decorations and hidden improvers.
open RAVy as a ravdiger and compare. is nikon still juicy?

if we are talking about kamzhepegs, then you are right - kenon gives out faded zhpeg, nikon - parrot color.

      • Dmitriy

C RAW, unfortunately an ambush. Everyone took pictures in jpg (lower quality), since I have 2 cards of 16 GB each (total 32), the cannon has one card of 32 GB, the task was to compare the speed and survivability of the battery.
Changing the picture control mode at times does not affect anything, maybe 10-15% the difference between neutral and landscape. I believe the speed just suffers because of this mode, the picture, apparently, is processed additionally by the camera. In general, I can click on the ctrl-P buttons without any processing from Easyprint on my L-800 on any photographs of the nature of the D7100, people like these photos by color scheme more, and with a polar even more (although this is generally a separation from the real picture).
I think more about the reasons for such a low speed on Nikkons in general, apparently there is a picture control and there is a certain neck of the bottle that limits the shooting speed, otherwise they would have installed some Intel or AMD long ago and would have solved the speed problem. Well, we increased the buffer on the D7200 - what's the point? As the speed was, it remains - a waste of money.

Ha ha ha! Here is a swara! I thought the photographers were smart people.

  • Michael

The fact that Arkady is looking towards Canon is not surprising. Portraits in general and weddings, in particular on Canon, are better in terms of color (that is, people do not look like green men). Canon also takes the lead in new technology adoption. For a professional, I think it is important not to wait indefinitely for new products, drooling over another system, but to start using innovations as early as possible. The color rendition on cameras from different manufacturers is different, so it seems to me that the choice of system also depends on the tasks of the photographer. For shooting people I would prefer Canon, for shooting nature Nikon. Also an interesting observation (IMHO): Canon introduces new bells and whistles before Nikon, but the latter has more sophisticated and well-tuned ones. Late, but done, so done.
I shot for a long time on Canon, and now I bought Nikon, because I almost never shoot people, and nature photos on Nikon are brighter and do not require strict color correction, unlike Canon.
So all the wars on the subject of Canon-Nikon are nothing more than holivar. Both systems are good in their own way and there is no leader here. Caesar - Caesar's, as they say ...

Add the ability to install an alternative add-on on your boot at home, which allows you to turn the simplest carcass into a fighting friend, especially for videos or night photos, and you’ll see that the boot wins. .Before her and with her- carcass heaven and earth. Such opportunities are opened that whoever has tried knows. Nikon will never release something like that, they rested on one thing and hammer the same thing in a different sauce.

    • Dmitriy

It's not difficult to draw the sky on nikkone even in the evening at night: you hold down the aperture, the shutter speed is higher, you turn on the “landscape” mode in the pic. control and shoot at least raw at least jpg. In reality, the sky was dirty-black (Lobnya, industrial building 31.10.2015/XNUMX/XNUMX).

      • anonym

it's not about the hole and not the endurance ... how much do you put the endurance on the nikon? 30 seconds? from the remote control can do more. and me and an hour, 2. yes at least 8. not a problem. without remote control)

        • Dmitriy

I saw models up to Cannon 5 mark II, they have the same bulp as my D7100 (only up to 30 ″), it seems to be resolvable programmatically (like yours). The release cable costs 100 rubles + a phone or watch (time to check). As for interval shooting, it is on the D7100 itself (and on the younger D5200). The photo shows a shutter speed of 0,6 ″, with this kind of lighting it's not a problem with a clamped aperture at 35 mm aperture. fix to shoot.
Regarding the characteristics of Boots modestly indicated: Interval shooting (Timelapse) x; Quiet shooting mode x; Multiple exposure mode x. In this part, on cannon you need to buy a special remote control somewhere around 1500 p. or more expensive, nikon took into account the requirements of users and you can do without a cable when shooting the night sky or salutes.
Why both companies give remote control manufacturers a rhetorical question.
Some authors, the same Ippolitov, Zamorin, use outdated camera models like D40, D90, D5100 when working - but it should be borne in mind that cameras from 2012 and newer have multiple exposure and interval shooting modes, in this part Cannon lagged behind.
I think that the choice is better: the program (free) or the remote control for 1500 - 2000 rubles. does everyone himself, it's easier for me to spend 100 rubles. on a cable than to risk with the firmware (I will not dare to install the 3rd firmware in any way).

          • BB

Do not offend the 5100, it has both time-lapse photography and multi-exposure. :-)
At 90, too, it seems there is, I definitely will not say.

And cannon is a cannon, not a Japanese company ;-)

          • Alex

On boots there is an add-on over the Magic Lantern OS, which gives the above features and other buns of typical exposure time of 40 seconds or 20 minutes. At the same time, the add-on is free and does not require special remotes and cables.

  • Anatoly

The topic is very complex and considered, in my opinion, somehow primitive. I saw similar statistics somewhere earlier. It's funny that the conclusions are also based on performance comparisons between two and one modern processors. These conclusions seem to be "drawn", namely, an attempt to draw conclusions for the sake of conclusions.

Do not forget to go to the forum of car enthusiasts, advise them not to measure horsepower and torque, but to drive. Take a look at the forum of telephone maniacs, explain who does not need 8 cores at all and you can call from Nokia 3310. Then, go to computer fans and explain that the new video card is nonsense and a good game can be played at the minimum settings. In general, I think the message is clear :)
And so I agree with you, if you meant that you should not forget about the very essence of the camera, namely the ability to take pictures. Another thing is that it also depends a lot on technology, no matter how good the pros take their soap dishes, they usually do their work using top cameras. Disputes about technology have a right to exist. Especially among amateurs and beginners pros. Those who have been professionally filming for 10-20 years have long argued theirs in forums and photo clubs and chose the cameras they need in their work. And for beginners and advanced amateurs, these disputes will probably be useful. They can find out the features of the functionality of other cameras and compare them without the need for a purchase.

      • Yarkiya

        These are very correct words.

      • Andrei

The message is understandable, only, unfortunately, most of those who with foam at the mouth prove the superiority of some kind of camaro can afford maximum focus on credit. Here is the same thing. Hedgehog is clear that 1DX is better than 300d. And for beginners, it seems that they will buy the Mark 3 and that's it, the masterpieces will trample in orderly rows. Only here nifiga is not it.

        • Pastor

Yes, if we continue the analogy with cars, a young vazovod is unlikely to reseed on a Ferrari immediately squeeze out all the juice from it (I think it will not do without accidents :). It’s another matter that he’ll have more opportunities, and he’ll flood at a traffic light and enter a turn at a hundred, which cannot be done at the VAZ. He will not learn to drift right away and the police will not master a U-turn, and they won’t take him at a rally, but still the quality and ride comfort will increase immediately.
Mark three has the same theme. Yes, masterpieces will not trample. But still, there will be less soap and less lubrication. DOF will be narrower and portraits will look “cooler”. ISO workers will allow you to shoot even until late at night. So the impression of newcomers “if they buy a mark 3 and that's it, they will trample the masterpieces in slender rows” is incorrect, but not fundamentally. The chance to get a masterpiece or just a high-quality picture increases significantly. I remember being surprised at the full-frame shots after sitting on the crop for a long time. It was even a little offensive that I hadn’t tried full frame before, a number of plots are greatly transformed thanks to FF, something inaccessible on the crop becomes real.

          • Oleg

            Gold words. Amen:)

        • Dmitriy

When I pulled out of the hands of the D5200 (with sigma 18-250) for a long time put likes under the photographs of the bombing of Vietnam, but reconciled with the harsh reality, was forced to buy a used D7100 with 35 mm. fix and light filters. The quality of the photo immediately increased significantly. Because the picture has become more interesting, because all my friends are asking to print autumn photos on the wall in a frame. Despite the fact that he has not even become an advanced amateur yet, but the color depth, the absence of an anti-mujar filter, a polarizer, a virtual horizon, viewing histograms and highlights, a bunch of manual buttons and settings do their job without my intervention, my task is only to choose the picture frames (and -for exposure), read or see how to do it, press the necessary buttons and delete unsuccessful pictures. C D5200 did not work out that way.

Beginners will learn a little after reading your nonsense about cars and crossroads, about buying FF, Pastor. A photograph is first of all art, and yours and others like you endlessly digging in shit a second time. Only a good photograph, not abstruse opuses, shows who you are really is.

          Dear Anonymous!
I hope you understand that the charge of worthlessness is twice worthless if the author does not represent anything in return.
Come on, develop a discussion on the art of photography. I am sure everyone will be happy to connect.

I propose a rather burning topic - the simplicity and complexity of the forms in the composition.

          • anonym

This discussion has nowhere to develop, especially since the laws of perception are at the forefront of it, i.e. certain target designators. The creative nature has always resisted this ... ... The initiative should come from the author of the site. 1000 times suggested Arkady to do something similar, only Much easier. Namely, analysis of a specific snapshot. Analysis of a snapshot as such, without fanatical digging at the molecular level in skin tone, sharpness at the edges, color rendition ... The plot is the main component of the photo, and minor technical flaws can be corrected in the editor.

        • Pastor

From your extensive speculation, newcomers will draw much more, I agree.

Well, well said! Save money and take ff! The discussion is closed!

  • Gene jb

By the way, you forgot that progress has risen. that of Nikon, that of Kenon. and each new model gives a meager increase in opportunities for a very frantic, unjustified price. Read Arcadia reviews of the latest cameras. moreover, marketers, goats, put in the head completely wrong priorities. For me, for example, a camera with a CCD, 5-6Mp would be more interesting. And do you even know that to shoot FullHD you need only 2MP? So the image from my matrix in 18MP is interpolated in 2MP. And it’s still not clear how good it is, but I feel that it’s not even very good. And for example, I would like it to be taken from a real 2 megapixel piece of the matrix. And the rest could be used for stabilization. But no one does this, everyone needs multi-megapixel, unnecessary processing, allocation of faces, closed eyes, etc.

    • BB

I would also not mind a small matrix for the video.
But if you use only the central area on a 18MP camera to record video, then what will be the crop factor? About 4x with a penny. That is, an 18mm lens turns into a moderate telephoto with 72mm EGF. How then to shoot indoors? Yes, and keep in mind that in this case it will happen with the DOF. In fact, you will get a video as from a soap dish: with large depth of field and poor detail. Who will need such a video?

  • R'RёS,R ° F "RёR№

They wrote a lot about the rate of fire of systems, and how many high-quality exposition-focus frames are obtained under combat conditions, the percentage of defects, and so you can hammer 10 frames per second and everything is in the basket ...

    • Alexey

that's why kenon puts two percent in one, one deals only with AF and the exposure is called “on the fly” the other for everything else.
if the speed is needed a little lower, one is enough.
whoever worked with 5DM3 and D750 knows the difference in focusing and burst shooting. 5DM3 manages to work out 61 AF points in the series, manages to change the exposure. D750 hardly works out the first series despite a simpler AF, then the speed drops.
      and 5DM3 “threshes” without freezing.

  • Peter

I tried both kenon and nikon.
As a result, he sold everything to hell and settled on fuji.
IMHO, the best color of all. Requires a minimum of adjustments in post-processing.
    It's a pleasure to shoot.

On the topic, the processor does not mean anything. It is necessary to consider the entire system. Starting with the speed of the drives in the lens, the speed of the focus module, buffer memory, buses, memory cards, etc.

  • Alexey

“On the subject, a processor means nothing. We must consider the whole system as a whole. Starting with the speed of the drives in the lens, the speed of the focusing module, buffer memory, buses, memory cards, etc. ”

Fuji's camouflage at Olik's level, i.e. very good.
otherwise it is a Sony 16MP matrix with an X-trans filter, which has a resolution lower than Bayer. I was very interested in the new Fuji system at one time, I twisted the E2 camera. beautiful, with charisma. but
    - poor ergonomics
    - bad AF - worse than Olik, not to mention DSLRs
by the color of the RAV - in Fuja, non-disconnectable improvements are stuck. open RAVy ravdegor and compare with nikon or kenon.

Nikon - The War of Marketing
Posted on December 7, 2013 by Alexander Titov

Nikon was a solid market leader in the 1970s. Nikon is a predominantly optical company with a long history, besides it had strong ties with the Japanese “military commissar” during the Second World War. Therefore, their quality standards - both the reliability of cameras, and the design and manufacture of optics - were certainly high. This predetermined the popularity of their cameras among professionals in the “film era”. Canon in those years acted on the sidelines, gradually developing, but as part of its FD-mount, having failed to squeeze Nikon out of its role as a leader in the world of professional photographic equipment.

In the bowels of Canon, however, they were engaged in interesting, breakthrough innovations in the world of optics and electronics, which soon formed the basis of the EOS system - the most advanced and evolutionarily developed in the market, which, like the “horseman of the apocalypse”, hit the heads of competitors in the late 1980s and crushed them, crushed their capabilities. A new, efficient multi-purpose bayonet mount, ideal for SLR cameras and the widest range of optics for them, fully electronic lens control, giving the system incredible flexibility without the old restrictions in the form of mechanical camera and lens combinations, built-in fast and silent autofocus and aperture motors, the latest smart multi-point autofocus, complex aspherics, new effective optical lens circuits, fluorite in televisions, optical stabilizer ... You can’t list everything here, but it was real first "spirit of modern times." The competitors, who slowly selected themselves from the era of the 1970s, could only passively observe how the mass and professional markets confidently move to the new system, which has since been a firm leader in the photo market.

But the most important thing happened during the years of the advent of digital cameras. Canon here was able to correctly calculate everything in advance, by launching the production of its own CMOS sensors, which offered an excellent balance of capabilities at a humane price. And Canon's digital cameras have also confidently become leaders in the mass photo market, further strengthening the company's position as the undisputed “number one” in the world of photography. In the professional world, everything turned out even more spectacular - Canon quickly brought to the market the advanced cameras of the EOS-1Ds series with full-format matrices - another miracle of CMOS technology, with an excellent picture, low noise, fully compatible with all traditional 35 mm standard optics, which are not left no chance for the market rivals, and Canon's full-length “ones” quickly became the default choice of a professional photographer. Soon, the digital “full frame” reached the amateur sector, in the form of the wonderful Canon 5D, which at an affordable price opened all the riches of full-format optics to enthusiastic fans, which further increased the influx of system users - because competitors did not offer anything like that. This is how the modern Canon EOS system has developed, where digital cameras for every taste are organically complemented by excellent optics, without any “intra-class” restrictions. Is her triumph deserved? Yes, of course, because all this was created only by human efforts and labor aimed at continuous improvement of quality, coupled with bold, scientifically justified innovations.

Moreover, all these ideas became the unspoken foundation for the cameras of competitors, which eventually came to the same concept. What is a modern digital SLR camera? This is a low-noise CMOS sensor, multi-point autofocus, an integrated ultrasonic motor in the lens, the circuit of which is with aspherics and an optical stabilizer. All of this was first developed and applied by Kenon.

Well, what about Nikon? He, as we recall, rested on his laurels for a long time and got used to being loved and respected. He always had a kind of samurai pride, which still shines through in his publications and promotional materials, according to the type - "yes, we still know everything better than anyone else." Of course, from the legacy of the 1970s, Nikon trails a train from an unhealthy mass of “fans” who were ready for a long time to forgive their idol some slowness and blindly repeat his advertising slogans. But what really happened? In fact, Nikon had a great confusion and confusion. With the release of Canon EOS, it suddenly became clear that Nikon did not have any special new optical technologies, nor normal autofocus, nor developed electronics. But it was necessary to keep the market. And then the advertising games began, which, in my opinion, should be sealed separately, as an example of shameless PR-deception and brazen arrogance.

When Canon, having independently developed special grinders, began to massively put the aspherics in fast lenses and wide-angle zooms, achieving unprecedented optical parameters, Nikon only waved it off. But then they still released lenses like Noct-Nikkor 58 / 1.2 and Nikkor 28 / 1.4D, equipped with aspherics.
When Canon came up with fast multi-point autofocus, Nikon stubbornly held on to a buzzing, loosening “screwdriver”, which they, however, without a shadow of doubt threw out in compact digital cameras - “castrates”, as they are popularly called, depriving their users of a whole class of affordable old optics and artificially restricting them only to a narrow circle of crop optics.
when it became clear that fast and silent ultrasonic motors in lenses, as suggested by Kenon, were good for reportage shooting, Nikon never admitted this openly, still fumbling his screwdriver, but then calmly began to do the same, quickly inventing his own AF-S.
When the Canon “Reporting Marks” came out, beating at 10 frames per second on telephoto lenses, Nikon didn’t even think of something to do with the archaic, mechanical aperture drive, which simply did not manage to work out at such a speed. But everyone is silent about this.
when Canon began to introduce fluorite in telephoto and zooms, with stunning picture quality as a result, Nikon wrote victorious reports on the topic - “yes, this is your fluorite, our engineers believe in ED glasses and will make you better”. Better - it did not work, it turned out both heavier in weight and weaker optically, but the fans preferred to keep quiet, or repeat all the same for Nikon, as this would mean admitting their obvious stupidity and sprinkling ashes on their heads. However, this did not prevent Nikon from quietly releasing the newest 800 / 5.6 FL, stuffed with fluorite exactly like Kenon, and calmly writing - “but we have innovative fluorite, look what a good lens - competitors before us are like before the Moon” ...
when Canon came to the masses with its own CMOS technology, Nikon, who chose to buy external sensors as his strategy, began to assure him, “Yes you CMOS does not provide quality, we adhere to the good old CCD sensors, we will not touch this disgrace! ” Fans diligently repeated this on the forums, looking for highly intelligent arguments and publications on the topic “why is CCD better than CMOS”. But only a few years passed, and there were not a single CCD-sensor in the Nikon line of cameras - as soon as CMOS could be mass-purchased on the market. And they carefully forgot about those words. Well, or, at last, they changed it like “CMOS Nikon - he is such a special CMOS, he is better than all other CMOSs” :) And although everyone knows that the matrix for Nikon is still mainly supplied by Sony (which itself Nikon carefully conceals, deceitfully calling them “unique Nikon development matrices”, as he well understands that using world-renowned sensors by a world-renowned company is, in fact, not solid), for fans, those matrices that are in Nikon are indeed some special: “they are developed by Nikon and are only released by Sony”. Despite the complete identity of the markings of the sensor itself in Nikon, Pentax, Fuji and others. Here are such twists and inventions :) And few of them are concerned about the strange fact that Sony, as a sensor developer, is much more experienced than Nikon, and it hardly needs the advice of the engineers of the latter. In general, no matter how Nikon would not want to create an entourage of solidity here, he does not release any matrices. But he is constantly looking for someone to turn to either for development and production, or for direct purchase of a ready-made sensor suitable for their needs - to Sony, Toshiba, Aptina or Renesas. All Nikon's own developments ended on unsuccessful LBCast matrices in D2H, after which all developments on this topic were discontinued. And what the market is giving out at this moment is Nikon and is buying. And this largely determines the possible characteristics of his cameras.
Nikon's biggest marketing shame was Canon’s full-frame digital cameras. Nikon quickly realized that their installation - to buy other people's arrays for cameras, instead of painstakingly developing their own - suffers a complete fiasco, since no-one offered full-frame sensors in those years for a reasonable price. It is difficult to design and manufacture, and very expensive, and in terms of the parameters it’s not quite what Canon has - it is noisy, inefficient, slow. As a result, the marketing slogan “We don’t need a full frame!” Was launched, in the background of which Nikon told his fans in detail that “full frame is bad for the frame quality”, “that we will never release our full frame cameras” and "stay with us and boldly buy crop optics." What is more in these words - elementary technical illiteracy, myopia or cynical lies to his “devoted public” (since at the same time a line of full-frame cameras was already in full swing) - I don’t understand. But the audience, apparently not far from the rams, nodded their heads rather; all objectionable tests, where the superiority of the full frame was visible, she rejected and began to repeat after her “king-father”, like parrots, “we don’t need a full frame!” How many of them, “convinced seekers of the superiority of the crop,” scandals on the forums, can not be counted. And what is the level of stupidity behind all this, not to express in terms of a normal person. Well, you do not need a full frame, who forces in the end? Why force others to persuade you of this? But thunder struck ... In 2008, Nikon, without warning, as if nothing had happened, rolls out to the market D3. And everything became clear to everyone. Fans washed, “massively bought cropped optics” went to the flea market ... Fans turned like a weather vane and began to chant - “Full frame is everything!” and “before Nikon there wasn’t really a normal full frame”, and such nonsense. But, as already mentioned, everyone has since more than understood, especially about the mental level of parrots. And after a few years, Nikon, as if nothing had happened, will triumphantly write on his website: “We are the company with the largest number of full-frame cameras for sale” :))))
when Canon came up with 20-megapixel cameras, Nikon, again, who was a hostage to the situation with matrices in the market, had nothing like that yet. Well, the statements began - by mouth, a little bit, from the top management: “Why do we need 20 megapixels? We believe that 12 (as in the D700) is enough for all needs! we will not increase megapixels! this is alien to us, what are you! we will think about quality! ” You might think about quality only you think in Nikon :) But then there was a thunder ... First D3x came out about 24 megapixels ... and then D800 about 36 megapixels ... Which many seemed even excessive ... And again, everything became clear to everyone .
This list goes on and on. But probably it is not necessary, since the most striking examples of the “marketing war” are already mentioned here. This is a terrific example of shameless lying and brainwashing to users. Lies, which are easy to say, and just as easily forgotten, because Nikon bluntly takes and applies other people's developments, which he fiercely criticized a year ago. At the same time, Nikon himself has not created any essentially new ideas for the last 20 years - all of his seemingly “unlike other” concepts have shown themselves to be unviable and short-sighted in time. Like, for example, LBCast matrices or Nikon-1 mirrorless mirrors. I understand that Nikon has a question of survival in the difficult realities of the modern economy, but competitors are in the same conditions! Were Canon, Pentax or, say, Leica seen in such disgraces? No never. Not the slightest sloppiness on their part, no false predictions, no undercover games in relation to competitors - everything is extremely correct.

The main question that arises from all this - how does Nikon relate to his users? Are they rational, healthy people for him, or is it the mass that can be turned left and right, squeezing money out of them again and again? Why does Nikon think that:

people can shamelessly hang noodles on their ears, like the same “we’ll never do a full frame”, “boldly buy crop optics”, although at the same time it’s already in full swing to develop D3? Or about “12 megapixels, which is enough for everyone”? or about the “great F-mount”, which is unshakable in words and compatible over decades, but in reality there is only a common name, and whose layout brings much more inconvenience and limitations than benefits?
you can openly steal other people's developments (such as with the design of soap dishes P7000 and P300) and without a shadow of doubt sell as your own, unique ?? who will pick it up?
can one easily change the vendors of the matrices every year, buying what is closer, without making any special efforts to unify their color signature? As a result, every time a new camera is released, people anxiously wait - “what about the color of the new matrix? surprises again? ” And then for three years he searches for methods of magical “profiling”, “underexposure”, “wrapping filters” and other nonsense clogging the brain so that the picture becomes at least somehow digestible and conditionally pleasant. In attempts to justify their wonderful cameras, they are even ready to rape their natural color perception, coming up with all kinds of “reflexes”, “natural colors” and so on, which from the outside looks, at least, just ridiculous.
in the end, you can calmly replace the normal and understandable color characteristic of the matrices and the final picture, the curvature of which in recent years (represented by the D7000 and D600 / D800) has become a byword, an abstract pursuit of the dynamic range, ISO and other things, simultaneously disgustingly manipulating the brain through sister sites like DRLs that definitely work for Nikon? Why such a substitution of concepts? From the inability to make normal sensors, or from a simple misunderstanding of the basics of digital photography?
can massively produce the latest optics with stepper motors inside, such as with 50 / 1.4G, 24 / 1.4G, 35 / 1.4G and 85 / 1.4G, which are known for the turtle speed of their autofocus, and at the same time ask for such crazy money for it? Compare, for example, the Canon 35 / 1.4L and Nikkor 35 / 1.4G. Canon has an expensive polished aspherics inside, a fast ultrasonic motor, and it costs $ 1300. Nikkor has a simple cast aspherics and an autofocus gear drive, the price is $ 1800. Moreover, a pair of Canon 85 / 1.2L and Nikkor 85 / 1.4G. Canon has precision mechanics in a metal construct, the whole computer inside controls autofocus, a huge ultrasound motor from a super-telephoto, an expensive huge polished aspherical lens - costs $ 2100. Nikkor is a plastic construct, no aspheric, a stepper motor - $ 1800 ... For what?
can new lenses be massively released all the time with such a focus shift reaching the level of autofocus inoperability even on older cameras? 14-24G, 24 / 1.4G, 28 / 1.8G, 35 / 1.4G, 50 / 1.4G, 85 / 1.4G - an incomplete list. How can one neglect such a basic characteristic of the lens? Canon has one such one - 50 / 1.2L, and then there is a lot of misunderstanding and scandals around it. But the Nikanists are silent, silently chew what they gave.
can I produce lenses with this level of chrome aberration and distortion? Or film cameras, the unity with which Nikon has for many years been extolled as a great blessing of F-mount, are already forgotten, forgotten? The feeling that students are now designing optics at Nikon as a term paper.
can you give a damn about the quality of your cameras? Skewed autofocus in the D800, oil in the D600 and much more are egregious examples, and, as I understand it, this is the very legendary quality of the 1970s, for which "professionals chose and choose Nikon."
can you frankly fool your customers with an advertising dummy by releasing cameras like Nikon DF? After all, presenting it as a new “retro-class”, Nikon did nothing essential in all of its development. The camera is assembled from pieces pulled from other cameras - a matrix, exposure metering, pentarpism, autofocus ... everything is taken from other models, but from the “like retro” here there is only a body with twists, which sharply contrasts with the typical (ugly, it should be noted) modern back panel . Not even the installation of interchangeable focusing screens is foreseen, which would be logical with the claimed adaptation of the camera to the use of old, manual optics. The autofocus from the crop DSLR, crowded in the center of the frame, looks especially inappropriate here - apparently, this “economical solution” is “Pure Photography”, as the advertisement says. The complete impression was that this camera was “blinded from what it was” quickly and soullessly, they came up with a marketing slogan for an audience that was greedy for gadgets, and they shoved it into the market. Nikon seems to have no new ideas.
is it possible, for example, to openly sponsor all kinds of bloody hunting safaris by advertising its optics, or to support Japan’s old revanchist aspirations to return “disputed territories” to the last ignoring Russia as an official market for its products (was it like that)?

Questions, questions and questions. You have become strange, Nikon. Not the same as it was before, once upon a time ... Even more questions arise for those who voluntarily play these masochistic games, mechanically repeating after Nikon his cunning marketing nonsense, buying up at exorbitant prices this dubious, obviously losing content, and then also with foam at the mouth justifying your choice. But this, I think, lies beyond the scope of photography, leading us into the field of clinical medicine ...

    • Alexander

Well, maybe something is true in your writing ... But there is one BUT ... All these articles and PRs about, for example, exposure metering systems (and not only exposure metering, but also other camera units), which are newer and better at determining exposure and the like ... this is all complete nonsense ... And it does not affect the determination of the exposure, but only hangs noodles for those who do not understand and do not want to understand this, but simply put, to increase the cost of penny devices ... But in fact, a high-quality matrix , the production of which is mass-produced and one unit costs a penny and a high-quality processor algorithm for creating a RAW file ... The rest is all nonsense - just a market - a scam that all manufacturers hang up to increase the price ... Canon's APS-C crop matrix is less than that of Nikon and complete shit ... Not a single Canon DSLR camera was lying next to Nikon ... the quality of Nikon (SLR) cameras is ten times higher ... And about the exposure metering - the Zenit-E film camera had one selenium The th element, which has always correctly determined the exposure, and now they are hammered into the minds of photographers that cool metering systems will make the photo better, etc. The scam is full…. I shoot from the seventh grade and learned to determine the exposure by eye in those days accurately, with an accuracy of one stop ... Now I have a D7100 camera and I decided to try to set it manually, by eye, and in 90 percent of cases I was not mistaken, although for 20 years haven't tried manual exposure ...

      • Oleg

I shoot on the simplest Kenon 1100d and as an amateur she is quite happy with me. Except, maybe shooting at high iso above 800 is better not to go up at all - this is a disaster. Nikon really has an advantage here, although high iso are not always needed. And so on kenon it is quite possible to feel comfortable on the crop as well.

at the bottom of the page there is a link to the website of Dmitry Evtifeev. There is an interesting comment on that site about the joyful:

“Arkady, of course, tries to be objective, but it is clear that the person has long outgrown Nikon and he needs to go further, but the company is not able to offer him anything. Inside, he seems to have matured to give up everything and even knows a way out, but he is afraid to betray his followers because then the whole theory that the Nikon is the best will collapse overnight. He, like Moses, led people through the desert for 40 years and realized that he would not be able to get out of the desert, but he also did not know how to tell people about it. They crowd, push, push their elbows in the hope of being the first to enter the promised gates. All the Nikonists are waiting, encouraging each other that a little bit more, just a little bit is left to wait and Nikon will finally release the camera that everyone dreamed of. And when he releases a new product, it turns out to be another horizon, which is actually even further than it was. And everyone says yes, okay, the skin is normal, I shoot, we will wait and wait. This is sectarianism. And Arkady can no longer wait, he needs to earn money today. New items from Nikon do not make anyone happy, hence all the love for three hundred and Fujikovs. "

A BZK is better, because a short working distance and you can twist any lens.

    Canon 35mm f / 1.4 Mk II Teardown
“Nobody, and I do mean nobody, else is engineering lens mechanics like the newer Canon lenses.
I'm sure you can tell we're impressed with the Canon 35mm f / 1.4 Mk II. The weather resistance appears better than most weather resistant lenses. (As always, I'll add that weather resistance still means water damage voids the warranty.) The mechanical construction is beyond impressive. This lens is massively over-engineered compared to any other prime we've ever disassembled. It's built like a tank where it counts; on the inside. Moving parts are huge and robust. Six big screws are used in locations where 3 smalls screws are common in other lenses. Heavy roller bearings move the focusing group, it doesn't slide on little nylon collars.
It's also designed thoughtfully and logically. Things that will inevitably get damaged on any lens, like the front element and filter ring, are designed to be replaced easily. There are some things inside, particularly with the tensioning screws and springs, that I'm not certain I understand the purpose of, but I am certain there is a purpose. If I had to summarize the mechanical design of this lens, I would say simply that no expense was spared, no corner was cut.
Sometimes things are expensive because they're worth it. Sometimes they're heavy because they're so solidly constructed. This is one of those times. "

the next disassembly of the new Kenon lenses in order to assess the quality of development, assembly and maintainability of the lens. Comments are superfluous ...

“Few people know that, for example, Canon has a very unfriendly policy towards its distributors, and leaves a completely minimal gap between the wholesale and retail prices. This leads to the fact that if, for example, you buy two cameras, say Canon and Nikon, of the same price range, costing (conventionally) 30 rubles each, then in the case of Nikon, the store will earn 000 rubles for the sale, and in the case of Canon is only 3. Of course, it is more profitable for the store to trade in Nikon, Pentax or Sony, and they keep Canon only for the assortment, and so as not to miss those who come to them purposefully in order to buy Canon.
It also happens that Sony's lineup is already significantly sold out, and the next delivery is not expected soon, and of course sellers will strongly recommend to buyers the worse-selling Nikon. The situation is exactly the same with accessories, the device you need may not be available, and you will be sold something else instead, because the main thing for the seller is that the buyer does not leave empty-handed, and whether the client will be satisfied with the purchase, already completely never mind."

Isn't this a CAT flooding here? He fucked up all the branches in PhotoRu with his Boot and now he has moved here. And he started like all normal people, with Nikon D3100. And interestingly, he was a normal guy. As soon as I got the Boot, I changed the boy. Everywhere he and his Boots ... But no ... He also shoves his ugly Jeanne like a photo-model. In all the branches he was already banned, but the kid doesn’t come out ... And the truth is, as if the boot is doused with valerian.

yes, a good comparison. although I would add to the paragraph about the number of MPs on the sensor a historical reference that the leader has been changing not so long ago. In general, it is logical, Nikon decided that 36 and so much. Kenon lagged behind in this matter, but apparently decided to surpass seriously and for a long time therefore 50.
However, this is akin to “who is longer”, tk. the choice of the majority of users is “what can I buy with this money”, but there may be a completely different story.

  • Nikanist prikalist ...

Oh, Oleshenka flooded ... And what is interesting - without getting personal ... Look how many letters he wrote. And as soon as the strength was enough ... That's what it is. And all the shit inside has boiled away, - God forbid, someone GREAT CANON touches. It's not good for Oleshenka to behave like that. All cameras are good. You just need to be able to shoot ... But you, - Oleshenka seems to be, - you like to do more favors ... Once again, you don't behave well.

Perhaps I will support you. Well, he really praises his Canon, any normal person will think - with what business?!? I myself shoot with Nikon, but I chose the camera, being inexperienced. Before buying, I re-read a bunch of information, in fact I had been preparing for the purchase for more than one week, and yet I chose Nikon. By the way, in view of the fact that when choosing a DSLR I went through a bunch of forums and conversations, I noticed one interesting feature: those who use Nikon mostly somehow calmly relate to Canon users, completely without deep fanaticism, at the same time, Canon users (like our Alyosha) on Hayat Nikon also falls in the ass. Not all, of course, but I clearly noticed such a thing. The question is, with what fright? Interesting conclusions suggest themselves ... Again, Alyosha did not consider it necessary to respond to a very serious (in my opinion) comment by Yuri from 03.11.2015 at 00:08. Again, why? If I were Alyosha, I would have been hurt by such an attack from Yuri. But here, as in Vysotsky's song, "and in response, silence ..." Oh, it seems to me that this is Alyosha, a mishandled Cossack ...
