I understand the differences from 7100 a little more than them .. Am I? added wifi and changed the inscription?

  • Stegosaurus

    EXPEED 4
ISO 25600 is now in the working range, no Lo50
    additionally ISO 51200 and 102400, but apparently only for b / w
    AF at illumination -3EV
    AF modes added
    Larger buffer
    Communications
    PictControl modes added
    Well, the video is improved

  • Stegosaurus

In general, if you do not count the AF module, then it pulls to update the firmware)))
    D7100s)))

    • Victor

      :))))

    • Oleg

      rather pulls on the D7101

    • Alexey

Ha Ha))))) Correctly said. Not bad firmware changed)))

  • Stegosaurus

    And yes! 24,2MP vs 24,1MP!

    • Oleg

      6000x4000 vs 6000x4000

  • anonym

    I use Nikon D7000 + 17-55 f / 2,8 and do not even worry. Mileage 50.000 frames in 3 years. A new shutter costs a penny, about $ 70.

  • Dmitry K

How it became boring. Once in 2 years something new was chipped. Really new. And now, since the release of 800, more than 2 years have already passed, D3 is already 7. In general, eight hundred were added to 810. Three in three and then to 4c without innovation, they simply licked the product step by step. In general, things got better, but there is no innovation. The seven thousandth series of 5 years will be soon, and the sensations are the same as in the professional segment. Stagnation.

    • Dmitry K

and in general, since such a booze. Where are the new sensors? Question to other manufacturers. The Bayer matrix is 38 years old! in Fuji, the pixels in the non-Bayer scheme are set, before different pixels in size and purpose were made, in Pentax microvibrations on the matrix against the moire, and then what? Are pixels smaller than steel? three times xa

  • Dmitriy

Having the D300 and D7000 working, I was waiting for an analogue of the Canon 7D markII, but I got this dull g ... but :( Cameras are already working out their resource, and there is nothing to change them with. Except Canon. It seems that it is easier to get used to the stupid management of the Boot than to wait from Nikon good camera.

    • Basil

Depends how to approach the question =) corny D750 :)

  • Anonymous 1

But is it conceivable: digital mirrors have been briskly progressing for only some 7-8 years. This is space speed !!! It is absolutely clear to anyone: the time of technical saturation is rapidly approaching its apogee. It is impossible to make the ball rounder than round, you can only polish the surface to a mirror shine. this is exactly what is happening, in particular with Nikon. Ball in a cube, cube in a ball ...

    • Dmitriy

Competitors are good at polishing. There is a suspicion that they, unlike Nikon, listen to the requests of buyers.

    • Oleg

"The time of technical saturation is rapidly approaching its climax." - why such thoughts? because you can't imagine what will happen next?
And who would have thought 50 years ago that it would be possible to make phone calls without wires, and even anywhere in the world, practically. Who would have thought that hefty square TVs would be replaced with frames a few cm thick? and there are many examples. I mean, that progress does not stand still, it just goes on its own

      • Grandfather

Not a single leading office using Bayer technology has recently proposed anything significant and new in the actual improvement of the original image.
The D7200 is another dumb show from Nikon and is better suited for discussion by photo shooters who are looking for the coveted “masterpiece” button in each new model.
As early as five years, the Baerov technology stopped its development going up to 18 megapixels on the FF, and where they, megapixels, a larger and smaller sensor only leads to a decrease in the light-receiving cell area and an increase in the area of the dividing partitions between them, and the partitions are constant in size, from this noise, DLA, loss of sensitivity and loud screams of marketers about the imaginary detailing behind the knowledge of Airy, who was killed by the circles, and neither any process or any of their algorithms will fix it unless they roughly cover it up.

Fuji's X-Trans sensor or Sigma foveon is much more promising in terms of the quality of the original image in the future.

    • Dmitry K

Really? 7 years ago, D3 was already released and broke the market with almost everything that Nikon now has on board - a 51-point autofocus module, microlenses on the matrix for greater sensitivity and a shooting speed of 8-9 frames. Since then, only cosmetics and things like Wi-Fi and live-view, which is certainly nice, but has an indirect relationship to photography. There is a feeling that now manufacturers are preoccupied with video in the camera and this eats up all the power. Swivel screens are being molded, the aperture control is urgently refined, the contrast focus is urgently attached. And the photo itself is forgotten

      • Peter Sh.

I would ask Nikon where the new 105mm and 135mm fixes are? And when will they finally make a new small wide fix? Whatever at the edges so did not soap, and did not weigh a pound. And where is the AF for the entire VI for the full frame? And when will the greens be removed?

Everything else, video-shmideos, screens, Wi-Fi and other garbage are all self-indulgence.

        • Dmitry K

dragging that 28 1.8 and 20 1.8 is. But 135 is a problem. The lens is about 20 years old. With autofocus points for the entire VI, the problem is with Canon.

          • Peter Sh.

Yes, and 24 1.8 is promised soon. But they are huge! You won’t put it in your pocket.
It seems to them all easier megapixels how to inflate on steroids.

            • Dmitry K

Well xs, 350 grams for the lens is the norm. And the size is like that, because they are mirrored and retro-focus. You can’t deceive physics. A pancake can only be done with a hole f4 (Pentax did in the seventies)

              • Peter Sh.

Why not do the same 20 or 24 2.8, but with advanced lenses?
Let it be with a screwdriver, they will still take it with a bang.

              • Peter Sh.

Kenon has 24 2.8 STM. Why not come up with the same for the full frame?

        • anonym

Gentlemen, do you have enough money for all this? Not all these "girls" about you.) Well, if only bloodsuckers are Muscovites.

          • Dmitriy

Which Muscovite personally sucked your blood from you?

            • anonym

If only I have. The whole country “have”.

              • Dmitriy

No problem. Ready to take with you to work and share the fee. Have a minimum of body armor, a helmet and a package of individual dressings with painkillers and anti-shock.
As the order arrives on set from the next hot spot, I’m so ready to take it with me.

              • anonym

Not enough hot spots for all of us. Instead of your fees, we would have a job, but it doesn’t exist.

  • Dmitry K

For Peter Sh. Canon has 40 2.8 STM for full frame - analog of 24 2.8 STM for crop. But making a pancake in a wide angle range (no matter which sensor) is very difficult. I understand you want a fix for a crop in the range of 24mm? so this is the normal full frame angle, not wide. And everyone has this problem - there are no crop fixes. One 35 1.8 for Nikon and 24 2.8 STM for Canon. Moreover, Canon has pleased its very recently - up to 24 2.8 STM people took 28 1.8 as a staff from a full frame three times more expensive than Nikon's 35 1.8

    • Peter Sh.

I just meant a full frame, not a crop.

      • anonym

on FF no one has pancakes-shirikov. He was at the pentax in shaggy years, even 2 were. 20 mm with a hole 4 and 28 3.2. Now there are none for sure. For pancakes SHU it is to mirrorless))))

        • Lynx

          Nikon 20mm f / 2.8D AF Nikkor

          • Peter Sh.

Here. Why not make enlightenment better there, or more modern lenses? That would be a cut opener. That's all. Why make another new and big 20mm 1.8?
A small wide fix is a must. You can’t carry wardrobe trunks with you all the time. Two fixes, one 50mm and this one, and that’s it, the whole world is singing and the children are noisy.

            • Lynx

              Patamushta screwdriver is already unfashionable!

              • Basil

                Screwdriver fixes without complaints take the same 35 F / 2.0D Af Nikkor magic in the picture =) 24 F / 2.8D

Where the aperture there and the sizes grow

              • Lynx

                flawlessly - but unfashionable.

  • anonym

I shoot on Nikon D3s and I will shoot until he dies. After all, nothing new has been invented yet.

  • Anton

For this money, it is better to buy an old d700. I switched from 7000 ki to full frame and I'm not overjoyed. I see no reason to buy that 7100, that 7200 .. there is a crop of crop, whatever one may say. And if you shoot a video, then the d750 will help ... and these are completely different prices.

  • Vitaliy kisinew

At 7100, only one detail infuriates me, the focus point is very large, because of this, sometimes it misses, I really like the point at Canon, 10 times less, how are things with 7200 not in the know?

  • anonym

Good - improved AF from 750 and normal human buffer. With such a set, you can barely claim the title of the best reportage crop from Nikon.

For the rest, no progress can be seen. Maybe there’s nowhere else, but marketing requires you to update the line with a certain frequency.

  • Alexander

You first pick up the device and take a picture. Eksperdov ran, after those. sheets. As already tired of these technodrochery. In addition to spamming every nonsense here, better go, learn how to take pictures normally.

  • anonym

Only scoops and rashists can sitting in Zaporozhets discuss how bad Lamborghini Reventon is :)

    • Lynx

oh, someone is feeling soon in a ban will fly away.

  • Pashqwert

Phase autofocus when shooting video, of course, it's a pity that they didn't add it. Otherwise, what did the D7000 / 7100 not suit you? What had to be changed so radically - to add a web browser, to implement the function of calls? Or are we still discussing a camera, in which there really were questions about the autofocusing algorithms, the tonality of the picture and the stripes when stretching?

    • Lynx

Add a sane working (and not through like in fuji and d750) and a custom wifi and a rotary screen.
And to make a faster focusing in lavu + here the comrades are crying for "not enough video".

      .....
Leave the rest as it is in d7200 (that is, percent, buffer, and all sorts of little things).
Of course, I would also like professional ergonomics as in the d200-d800, but “no son, this is fantastic”.

      • Victor

Exactly. In this version, I would leave all the discussion forums for cameras and focus on what these cameras actually do :)))

    • Alexander

I will say that it does not suit the D7000 ... 1. I would like a couple of orders of magnitude less “noise”. 2. There are no sane at the price of native shirikov on the crop (The trouble of all APS-C Nikon) 3. You cannot configure 100% increase on the "OK" button. Otherwise, everything is +/- good.

      • Lynx

        1. 20 times less noise ?? nefiga yourself you have requests.
        2. And what does not suit Tokin? or in the absence of shirikov d7100 to blame? O_o (Canon doesn't seem to have it either, by the way)
        3. custom firmware. ;)

        • Alexander

          1. At least three times))) 2. I am not satisfied with questions of some possible incompatibility in the future (like Sigma and D750 - lack of focus in Live View) Where I live in case of breakdown Tokina has no SC. No distortion control on the camera. ))) About Canon not in the know at all. 3. At 5100 I saw the custom seriously expanding the possibilities, at 7000 small things, it's not at all what you need. Make a brick from the camera in the case of a firmware curve as an option)))

          • Victor

And can you learn more about the expanding capabilities of 5100 custom?

            • Alexander

Victor, google it. At 5100, there are just custom norms.

          • Lynx

Where I live, even Nikon does not have a SC, not to mention the tokens. )))
distortion control in the camera is completely compensated by profiles in the lightroom.

        • Edgar b.

Here you are mistaken. Canon currently has 2 excellent widths for APS-C. This is the old and relatively expensive canon ef-s 10-22 usm (used 300-400 or new for 600 euros) and the new and cheap canon ef-s 10-18 is stm (about 300 euros new)

        • for

Can I link to custom firmware?
I saw mods under d7k, among them there was a removal of the restriction on the length of the video being shot, but about 100% crop when I clicked OK, I did not hear

          • Alexander

Petrovich, and unfortunately there are none.

      • Pastor

Regarding the width, it is incomprehensible excessive love for native optics. After all, there is an excellent Tokina 116 2.8, a good sigma 10-20 and a super wide sigma 8-16. All this is wide for a crop and they all cost around 30 thousand, and used ones can be found two times cheaper. The canon is better with this, 10-22 is not so expensive, and most importantly, there is a gorgeous stable width of 10-18is, which costs a penny and gives excellent sharpness throughout the frame. Those who are sitting on Nikon can only envy, because only Canon has a stable shirk for crop :(

      • Vadim

I don't have a D7000, but I have a D5100 with the same matrix as the 7000. At 3200 it is already noticeably noisy, but not so bad. When processing, you can achieve a completely sane result. Accordingly, 2500 and 2000 are even better, and 1600 is generally fully operational. Of course, I imagine a situation in which 6400 and higher may be required, but for me this very rarely happens. I think for those who really get in the way of living (in the sense of filming) the absence of a silent 6400 units, the rest simply pull the situation by the ears. The Lynx normally tells you about the width. I have Tokinu 11-16 2,8 in my arsenal. No complaints! A native would definitely be more expensive and not at all a fact that something is better. The only thing is that the focal range is too narrow, I would like 10-30 1,8, but I also want to fly to the moon ... :)
But for what Nikon's marketers should beat the face, and hard and for a long time, it is for the lack of a rotary screen in the 7000th series. Someone here wrote, they say he does not need him for nothing, - do not turn around, use yourself as a monolith and all things. But try to shoot a frame on the ground, a table or anything else from eye level or higher, try to shoot imperceptibly without raising the camera to your eyes, or over the heads of the crowd ... And I’m never a videographer, all the possibilities of turning are in demand by me as a photographer. But someone else is filming the video ...
The absence of Wi-Fi does not bother at all, but if there were, the devil knew him, he could have used it.

        • Basil

There were cases and 12000 drove on fullframe =)
          But usually I don't rent more than 6400 ...

The swivel screen is a convenient case, although on my camera I don't feel a great need, maybe 2-3 cases. Depends on the type of shooting ...

  • anonym

And where, in fact, the review? Accordion

    • Lynx

oh, these young people ... they don't even know the meaning of the word "button accordion".

      • Garmon Bayanovna

Oh, already this Lynx (mind you! I write in the feminine form) in each barrel a plug ... 13 comments in each branch is not the limit. Blah blah blah ……

        • Lynx

          I'm a charm at all.

          • Victor

And I like Lynx :) With “Blah blah blah ……” and not a single nonsense.

            • anonym

This is not a single nonsense now :))) And before ,,, !!! Apparently they had a conversation with Arkady (or an agreement) about this and that and about help in the “shootout” with the trolls ...

              • Lynx

                what naivety.

  • Garmon Bayanovna

Glory to Israel even though Yarkiy became quieter, otherwise he was also a commentator. Now the ardor has calmed down, apparently getting old ...

    • Victor

Have you seen his pictures? I'm talking about Yarkiy. There is a lot to learn from “macro”.

  • anonym

100% !!! I support !!! We are all children of one God! And you must always remember this ...

  • anonym

The most interesting thing is that no one wrote: - "I will buy a VIDEO CAMERA for shooting video", everyone is trying to shoot video with a DSLR; a motorcycle has 2 wheels - it's not a 4-wheel drive. DSLR for photo shooting :))

    • Yarkiya

It's all about lenses, you can change them on a DSLR, alas, on video cameras (not professional).

      • anonym

It's not about "changing", it's about the size of the matrix.

    • Pastor

Nevertheless, 95% of modern video is filmed on DSLRs, phones or goupros. Because it is affordable, quite high quality and simple.

    • Victor

The phone used to not be used for online shopping either. :)

      • anonym

I was at an event in a rural house of culture, the guys were filming from one well-known TV channel to a professional camera from a tripod from a distance of 10-12 meters. The lighting is the poorest you can imagine. Perfect quality footage with correct color reproduction, etc. etc. Here ... Where can the DSLRs compete?

  • Alex

About the rotary screen! very useful feature. and if someone believes that he is not needed, then he is deeply mistaken. Today, at his 750 ku, he filmed Aksenov’s meeting with reporters. everyone surrounded him not to make his way. what am I doing. I flip the screen up the camera and calmly take off all over their heads. so a very rotary screen is useful.

    • Ingvard

but how useful is also touch! He raised it over his head, jabbed his finger at the point where the focus is needed - voila! I'm not really overjoyed in my samsung nx30

      • Pashqwert

And how convenient the TV crane is, pressed the joystick button and the camera flying through the hall took the most advantageous position ... The shots taken above someone's head are purely for stating a fact, it is more convenient to do such on a mobile phone.
But essentially a matter of price. Are we for rare items or for an affordable, convenient thing? To remove software restrictions (that costs nothing) in D3xxx and D5xxx and artificial cutting of buttons and the D7xxx line is not necessary.

        • Dmitry K

aha, and the second steering wheel will grow back by itself. I am not satisfied with the ergonomics of the seven thousandth series after three hundred, but I like the younger Nikons like 3100 even less, even though this is my first DSLR. The seven thousandth series is controversial, as are the 60 and 70 d from the canon. It seems not amateur, but not prof. For her, expectations are always higher than 5XXX and 3XXX. After the junior DSLRs, seven-thousanders are steep, but after three-hundred they are slag in terms of control. That's why there are such cuts here. Someone says "nothing" and someone says "wow, give me two!" If you have already decided to transfer the pros to FF, then there is no need to pull the XNUMXs at all.

          • Dmitry K

and instead of seven-thousanders for advanced users, it would be better to return the seven-hundredth edition. No improvement at all. Let it be backward, without video and other buns - they will take it anyway. For 1200 bucks. They will stand in line.

          • Ingvard

And even after two hundred, seven-thousanders “don't dance” in their hands. The ergonomics of the dvuhsotki, continuous shooting, the color quality is much higher.

  • Ingvard

Buffer bigger, bigger buffer, bigger buffer! He almost caught up with my favorite D200! (Which I will never, however, sell to anyone).
But other? The rest and even much more: compactness, wi-fi, rotary touch screen, rotary viewfinder (!), Excellent video, little noise, 1 \ 8000 plus the ability to buy high-quality and inexpensive optics - all this is in my Samsung NX30.
D7100 is good, and 7200 is even more so. But I did not find any arguments for myself to pour so much money into it, and then save the same amount to buy decent optics to resolve these 24MP. And my D200 almost always makes me happy with flowers, but the 7100, which had a chance to shoot frankly in their colors, disappointed me - I had to conjure in converters specifically.
So the following we buy only a full frame and only without a mirror.

The development of the 7xxx line says only that there will be no continuation of the D300 (s). And last year, one Nikonov’s big shot promised to develop in this direction.

say extra. screen redesigned, different from D7100

    • anonym

yes, it’s as short as in the D750
