JUPITER-8M 2/50 is an updated version of the lens JUPITER-8M 1: 2 F = 5cm P с internal mount Contax-Kiev RF.
JUPITER-8M 2/50 differs from JUPITER-8M 1: 2 F = 5cm P only in the little things:
- 2/50 newer and 1: 2 F = 5cm P - older model. The new lens has a modern writing of parameters responsible for focal length and relative hole.
- 2/50 slightly updated the design of the frame. Instead of a label for the aperture value in the shape of a triangle, version 2/50 has a label in the shape of a red dot.
- versions have different enlightenment. Lenses 1: 2 F = 5cm P cast more blue, and 2/50 - lilac.
JUPITER-8M 2/50 looks like this:
Differences between versions 1: 2 F = 5cm P and 2/50 as an image I did not notice. Perhaps JUPITER-8M 2/50 yell a little less.

Now is this a site exclusively for reviewing Jupiter 8?
Of course not, not only for Jupiter-8, but also for Jupiter-8M :)
Do you buy them in buckets? :)
Yes, it is necessary in buckets, otherwise it is very difficult to find an adequate copy in a small heap of gel-jupiters-industrial :)
Is this your suitcase without a handle?
It’s a pity to throw it away, it’s impossible to use? Although the text is written, and thank God?
Useless thing, too much bling!
All the same, there is a charm for this Kiev with Jupiter.
And also by means of Jupiters from Contact-Kiev mounts the bugs are photographed)) throwing is still a pity))
Arkady is trying to do more reviews of different lenses, with different modifications, and you are like ungrateful jackals. : /
Just come across while Jupiters, he is testing. Sometimes a review of a lens of some nth one-of-a-kind in its kind on the expanses of tyrnet, for which many thanks to Arkady! This or that modification is very important!
In fact, there’s simply no time for something serious :)
Yes, with the advent of sony A7, there were a bunch of useless reviews on the lenses that FIG put on a regular DSLR.
I'm not complaining :)
Well, people!
Well, ungrateful!
"Ingratitude is a kind of weakness."

I’ll write it down here.

Jupiter -8m, it shoots very nicely. somehow natural and ... Arkady, you are great. Pay no attention to these and do your thing. Thanks. 7
That lied in a couple of hours.
There were two full ones, one cripple became.
We shoot from 25cm, full-length portraits of hamsters, facial guinea pigs. :)
Is he "makrik" now? What and how was the adapter made of? Please answer, do not be lazy. Such Jupiter is gathering dust. To shoot on film ... - well, you understand! And selling is the same as throwing out, the hand does not rise. There is in the arsenal a wonderful Helios-81M with a native Nikon-Kiev bayonet, but their drawings are different!
Only macro, something like this https://radojuva.com.ua/2013/08/elektronika-l-50-lens-sample/ I put it through a macro ring and sealed it with tape.
Yes, it shoots exactly like Arkady showed, only I did it not from macro rings, but from a plastic pinhole HOLGA, f8 60mm. I cut everything I didn’t need, put it in, filled it with glue and voila the bauble is ready. I don’t know where to apply, there is a makrik, there is a portrait painter, a fifty dollars is also available.
who do not like do not read. there is nothing to write any nonsense about hamsters.
The letter "P" in red appeared when Soviet lenses began to illuminate (the 50s of the last century - my school years). Optics then in the USSR were made very carefully exclusively at the factories of the defense industry. Therefore, the “P” on the lenses that have survived to this day is a kind of sign of their really high quality. Another sign of the quality of products from that (Stalinist) era is the 3/8 '' threaded tripod nut on 35mm cameras (used until the late 60s).
Hello, can you help with the adapter I will be very grateful if you throw off the link ... well, which one you have on Sony A7 thanks for your attention
Thank you so much for your review! My grandfather took pictures all his life, namely from the age of 57, at Kiev 4a. And just recently, as he was already 92, he gave it to me. Albums with photographs from him - feast for the eyes! And the information is adequate, except for the rewritten Soviet instructions on the Internet. Thanks so much for the lens reviews, not only this one but all Jupiters.
For those who are just “getting to know” this knowledge is a treasure.
Thank you again
People, someone found an adapter for minolta A, otherwise Jupiter lies idle, but I can’t find an adapter.
There is no such adapter. Only make a mono try, but there will be no infinity.
Is there an adapter for m42?
A similar answer. And what's the difference at all, that M42, that A?
Well, if it was on m42, then through the m42 adapter - minolta A, it could be put.
Eh ... I tell you that even if there was an adapter immediately to A, there would be no infinity - that's the trouble. Even more so with the M42.
Everything is bad with this Kontax-RF system - industrial adapters cost tens of thousands. And insanely rare.
Therefore, they are usually made by themselves.
Because Yu-8 on the ZK does not sit down with infinity, you can simply fix the lens in the M42 macro ring rigidly and shoot an interesting macro with it.
People and what is this detail? And where to get it?
Have you read the review? Or just looked at the pictures?
This is a homemade adapter.
Thank you for noting that this is a homemade adapter (), and what exactly is the highlighted part?
I can sell.
Hello! I need an adapter for Jupiter M8 for Sony A7. sell it to me!
This is a helicoid pulled from the Kiev camera, from which this lens. after pulling out the helicoid is turned (metal is soft) and sticks into a suitable adapter from Sony Nexus. sorry to break Kiev, but this is the easiest and most convenient option to use lenses with this mount
8m is done only with a bayonet mount in Kiev? on the m42-m39 was not produced?
Fell into the hands of 2 Jupiter-8. Used on a mirrorless mirror (Fuj X-M1), through an adapter. Maybe I didn’t understand what, but apart from Industar 61, there is not one sensible among the rangefinders. There is a tolerable Inustar-50, and i-26M is not better in quality than the Yu-8, and even darker. Soviet SLR lenses are much better.
Jupiter-8 is a soft, portrait lens for the most part. You don't need to expect high quality from it.
Industar-61 is rather dull in its properties, a good Industar-26M will easily compete with it.
Of course, yes, portrait, only the G-44 and the G-81N pair showed themselves much better than the existing U-8 and, all the more, the I-26m. The first two models you can play, make the center cut or softer, softer along the edges and get into the depth of field and smudge the background. And u-8 is only mild, and sharply at f5,6-8, and there it is sharply around and the depth of field from here to lunch. In the i-26m, it’s even worse about portraiture. As for the dullness of i-61, not g-44 or g-81, but something can be done. I-26m, well, if as a creative, instead of a monocle))) - I haven’t reached that point, it’s not interesting.
Look at my recent photos from the I-26M review. And which are the first. The bottom line is that different I-26Ms behave differently: an old, battered sample will give a dull and generally weak picture. And the “new” lens, and even blackened inside, gives a picture quite good in sharpness (no worse than I-61), with good contrast and colors. After acquiring a good copy, I became a fan of this small but beautiful glass.
Regarding, again, Jupiter-8, it is worth noting that it is not now “every day” glass (like the listed Helios and “technical” I-61, but it is a wonderful “spectacular” lens.
Found Jupiter-8M 50 \ 2. I can not find an adapter for the Nikon D5100 on it. But something came up. If you take Industar-61L \ D and unscrew the three bolts, you can remove the threaded ring. This ring can be stuck to Jupiter using a sealant (for example, adhesive tape or some other garbage). Now the thread of the M39 ring allows you to use Jupiter as a macro lens through an adapter.
here is the same bokeh and overall image quality as in this?https://radojuva.com/2013/04/obzor-jupiter-8-f2-50mm/
I fell into the hands of a brand new Kiev with a Jupiter 8M 2-50 lens.
1971 camera the film has never been in it.
Outwardly, as if yesterday from the factory
Now it remains to find the film and test it))
before putting the film on - make sure visually that the shutter works
Guys, explain to the fool the deletant how to put 8m Jupiter on canon, there is an M42 adapter and a ring at 39, but 39 is big for him. I rummaged everything, but I don’t understand anything anyway.
Thank you!
If such as in the review, then only with adhesive tape and only macro. This is if Canon is the default SLR.
Tell me, please, do I have a Jupiter-8m 2/50 lens, is there a chance to buy an adapter to install on the canon ??
It makes no sense to put it on the mirror Canon, it will focus no further than 30cm. You can set it to mirrorless, but the adapter is unlikely to be found, you must either do it yourself or order it to someone.
