    first medium format website)

    • Oleg

The first medium format camera - yes. But reviews of medium format optics are a dime a dozen

  • anonym

But there will be a review with a bias in the photo?

  • Sergiy

Privit. And the camera itself will be a review?

  • anonym

very interesting to see photos from this camera))!

      • Victor

Stunning depth and dimension in the image, you can immediately see all the advantages of medium format. In general, it is clear what is worth striving for.

        Thanks for the example!

I would like to read about a comparison of this unit and full-frame cameras - I think the most interesting material would turn out

  • anonym

Eheheh ... they are already moving to 4k with might and main, but they only matured to fullhd.

    • Vladimir Morgunov

What's the point in switching to 4K for everyone, if people are still not even familiar with FullHD? I mean the end customers, not the "wishlist" and "pipiskomeryanie" of colleagues in the shop.

      • anonym

        > people are still not even familiar with FullHD
So many years in the shops of jam-packed TVs 1080p, actually.
And again, it is enough for end customers to show near 4k / 2160r and 1080r, and they will be instantly imbued.

        • Vladimir Morgunov

I am a practitioner and I judge by what I have in real life - people are still asking to give the film on DVD, and in addition they take FullHD on a flash drive. A 4K question usually starts with “what is this” and ends with “we have nothing to watch this”. so why should I bother buying a new expensive 4K camera, editing the hardest 4K sources and figuring out where to write the finished video.

          • Vovchan

+ 100%! Now our Ukrainian people have become impoverished to the point of “I can't”! What are 4K? Buy a loved one for yourself and be happy (if you have something to buy for)? And then also upgrade the computer for the amount of the cost of the same 4K camera! Meaning?????????!!!!!!
Here is an example from yesterday: a customer calls on the issue of wedding photography and video filming and begins to "dictate" her conditions, such as: I have a budget for photo + wedding video - UAH 3000. in 2 days! I begin to send her politely, and she begins to say that I am a sinner, because I show my pride, my unwillingness to shoot cheaply !! And this is not in a remote village, but in a 100 thousandth city in the center of Ukraine and with Kiev prices for almost everything !!!!!! Sorry for the "lyrical" digression - painful :)))

            • Alex

Vovchan and Vladimir Morgunov completely agree with you. All this hype around 4K is just nonsense in our current realities, both material and technical. Where to look, where to mount and process ??? Yes, the stores are full of ful HD TVs and super powerful computers, and that, with our beggarly salaries and even donations, only get rich or a fool will allow himself, purely to show off ...
I hate such cheap show-offs; "They are already moving to 4k with might and main, but they have only matured to fullhd." Just to fart?

And about the camera, I really would like to see the photo ...

              • Yarkiya

Sweet man, but nothing that you answer to the comment two years ago and today 4k is like then full HD, but new formats are coming. And what about the fact that you and many others do not have 4k, this is not a reason to call progress fopping.

              • Nicholas

Which 4K? What progress? In 2019, we are just introducing digital television, so there is no money to buy a new TV instead of the VTs-381 Record. Until 4K, another 10 years, until it becomes what it is today HD.

  • Igor

To be honest, I did not notice the difference from the top Nikon / Kenon full-frame fotik with aperture optics. And on the IMGP6322 video, there are also strong color distortions on the chrome railing.

    • Vladimir Morgunov

Indeed, the video capabilities of the camera obviously pumped up - one castrated HDMI is worth it ...

      • Mr. boggy

And give you all a video. This is generally a crop from the SF, for commercial and artistic shooting. So video hunting - take FF mirrorless cameras, Sonya, for example, is the leader in the video, and now Kenon has done some work. Or you thought that the SF video will give you the entire matrix, keep your pocket wider. In general, the whole tendency to introduce video into cameras will spoil the very concept of a high-quality approach to photos, matrices do not get better in color from this, and they also get thick filters in addition. Video on cameras is generally miserable, only for staging and processing - to shoot excerpts, reportage or long-term shooting is already past.

        • B. R. P.

Well, what else do you want from a videographer...

  • varezhkin

and the Pentax review itself is removed?

    • Vladimir Morgunov

No, the review itself was shot on the Nikon d800.

      • Sergey Zaporozhchenko

        What about the lens?

        • Vladimir Morgunov

          like Samyang 85mm f1.4

  • Ronin427

    Wow! (• •) "

  • Ibrahim

Guys, well, cover the diaphragm, the flu is very small)

    • Vladimir Morgunov

are you jealous? - envy in silence!

to be honest, I don’t want to burden the viewer with what is happening in the background, so I blur it into the trash.

      • AM

Perhaps, but perception is a rather subjective thing. I also don't like this picture very much - there is not enough sense of space, and not only cover up to / 16, but it is worth covering a little.

        • Vladimir Morgunov

          well, consider.

          • Sergey Zaporozhchenko

And for me, it's a very interesting picture from the D800!
            The taste and color ...

And yet, what kind of optics used?

  • Amatich

And rightly so, there is nothing to distract from the main thing. Thanks to everyone.

    • sergey

if it’s the main thing, it wouldn’t hurt to become (leave the sun), or even castrated HDMI is still not a damn thing visible on the monitor in such a sun

      • Vladimir Morgunov

Sorry, but your comment is like a set of words whose meaning eludes me.

  • Yarkiya

I wonder what EGF of this pentox with 55 mm?

    • Ivan

Well, like a crop factor of 0,78
      55 * 0,78 = 42,9

    • Ivan

it turns out a staff - ideal for street photography

  • anonym

... a few significant disadvantages of the camera:
    1. Yes, yes, it's still a crop! its sensor is smaller than the smallest medium frame size. 44x33 mm vs 60x45 mm.
    2. The video in the camera was made explicitly for show. all the cons are described in the video ...
    3. the price is 400 kilo rubles.

Of course, the difference in the depth of field with an ordinary 35 mm camera is interesting, but for 400K rubles. can:
    1. buy Nikon D810, which has more advanced video capabilities ...
    2. Make a kit for him.
    3. buy a very good glass, even quite enough for the Zeiss Otus 1.4 / 55 ZF.2

it seems to me that those who professionally use the medium format buy other (more expensive) equipment. and they don't shoot video for them ... mostly photos in the studio.

for staged video it is better to use ordinary DSLRs (small budget) or RED cameras (large budget), and reporting only with a good video camera is much more convenient, and depth of field is not so important in the report ...

  • Alexander

Litter for offtop. Do not drop video reviews, Arkady. Great for you. Great bonus for your readers, I think :)

  • koff

A photo of the possibilities of the presented camera, maybe it will be seen?
Almost all readers of your site use crop or full-format cameras, but a medium format digital camera is very interesting.
Of course, this is like dreaming of a racing car of Formula 1, and driving a medium foreign car, but I really want to know how it is.
    Sincerely.

  • Dim

Yes, it would be interesting to see the difference between crop, full-format and medium-format cameras.

  • Viatliy

Hello! There are many questions regarding the comparison of FF and SF. So everything is very simple here - compare crop and FF, the result will be the same. Besides, how do you compare pictures with FF and SF in size? They are different. Reduce to a smaller size, so the picture with SF will be more contrasting due to compression.

    • Vladimir Morgunov

in fact, in comparing FF / SF and DX / FF, there is one big difference - lenses with aperture 1.4 from 24mm to 100mm are available for both DX and FF - but they are not available for SF, at least not for reasonable money. subjectively, in order to get an advantage over the FF in terms of depth of field, you must have a hole of 1.2 and higher.

      • anonym

Vladimir. And besides how to do the reviews, you still have undertaken obligations that have not been fulfilled. And a big request is to answer letters and phone calls.

  • Viatliy

Here is a review of the medium-format camera, though this is not interesting to anyone and the blog itself is not bad http://evtifeev.com/21846-obzor-sredneformatnoy-kameryi-mamiya-df-s-tsifrovyim-zadnikom-leaf-credo-40.html

  • Maksim

give us your reviews with photos)) just vidos is not so interesting.

  • Pacman

Just like the medium-format film cameras in whose footsteps it followed, the 645D was never going to be a mass-market camera. Medium-format is an even smaller niche than it was in the film days, but the 645D was nonetheless a very important camera for the company, and its followup - the Pentax 645Z - is no less important.

  • Sirusvirus

I can't believe that such a fotik got caught…. And in principle there is no review ... It's a medium format digital camera! There would be a few photos with interesting thoughts about color, volume ... And video opportunities ...

  • Vladimir

But where is the quality of the video itself? Color, noise ... It would be nice to add a small test to the review.

  • Simon

THIS CAMERA IS NOT DISCUSSED - THE ONE WHO HAS IT STAYS SILENT IN SWEET BLISS.
The most sincere review of the Pentax 645z HERE:
    http://neveru.com/blog/samyiy-iskrenniy-obzor-pentax-645z/

    • lech

Why not discuss? After all, you have to scratch your tongues.

  • Alexander

This camera is the wet dream of many photographers. I talked several times with photo professionals, and when they mentioned Pentax they:
    - blissfully closed their eyes
    - smacking lips
    - they say that now Kenon is not Cake
    - and talked about that CAMERA, which they personally felt, watched and really want it to fall back into their hands: D
