Nikon D750 review

According provided by Nikon D750 camera many thanks to Alexander Logachev.

For those who do not like to read a lot: Nikon D750 was announced on 11.09.2014/XNUMX/XNUMX and so far is Nikon's best amateur CZK. That's all :)

Nikon D750

Nikon D750 BODY

All tabular data can be found on the official website, I don’t want to retell the same parameters once again that wander from one review to another. In this mini-review, I will only leave my own impressions of using the Nikon D750.

I want to warn you that on the official sites nikon.ru, nikon.ua, nikon.kz and even europe-nikon.com, the Nikon D750 is located in the section 'Professional SLR Digital Cameras' (proof image). This information is not true and is a marketing ploy. Or maybe the world just went crazy and the level of 'professional equipment' fell below the plinth.

Unfortunately, my favorite site imaging.nikon.com, although it remains more honest, nevertheless went along the paths indicated by the marketers and deleted the professional / amateur equipment separation directories, leaving only one large list (proof link) Even the vile Pedivikia puts the D750 on a par with D700 (proof link) At the same time, the fact that the Nikon D750 is still an amateur camera (ENTHUSIAST DSLR) can be easily verified on nikonusa.com (proof link) Sneaky marketers generally try to pass off the D750 as the first camera in some new weight category, even adding it to the Nikon NPS lists.

I lead to the fact that sometimes, when choosing a camera, users are guided not only by its capabilities, but also by positioning in a certain segment. Do not follow the lead of marketers, be vigilant!

Nikon D750 - something in between Nikon D610 и Nikon D810... Unfortunately, Nikon D750 is not a direct replacement for the legendary old lady Nikon D700... When Nikon D750 came out, I was very upset that everything in Nikon D750 is very cool, but all this 'beauty' is housed in a body with amateur controls.

Personally, I absolutely love the Nikon D750. To the question 'Is it worth changing Nikon D700 on the new Nikon D750 'I can definitely answer - it's worth it.

At the same time, Nikon D750 still cannot reach some of the heights conquered by the 'XNUMX':

  • D700 It has a full metal case, the D750 has a composite case, with a composite front.
  • Minimal excerpt у D700 is 1/8000 sec. against 1/4000 sec. the D750. This difference is often sucked around on the forums, in fact, for real work it has no fundamental value, you will find details on this issue in my article '1 / 4000 vs 1 / 8000'.
  • excerpt flash sync D700 makes 1/320 sec., against 1/250 sec. at the D750.
  • Nikon D700 has a protective eyepiece shutter (what is she for?).
  • the maximum burst speed for the D700 is 8 fps versus 6.5 fps for the D750. This is critical for sequential shooting.
  • The D700 can use the MB-D10 butlock with the optional BL-3 cover, which allows the use of large and very capacious EN-EL4 or EN-EL4a batteries from flagship cameras Nikon D3, D3s, D3x, which significantly increases the number of shots taken on a single battery. Nikon D750 can only use standard EN-EL15 batteries in its butblock.
  • The D700 can use uncompressed RAW files with full raw data read from the camera's image sensor. The D750 can only use Lossless RAW format for maximum photo quality. Both cameras can use 14-bit color depth. What is it and what it is eaten with you will find in the section '12 bit raw VS 14 bit raw'.
  • with the same RAW compression settings (14 bit, lossless compression), the Nikon D700 buffer stores 17 frames, the Nikon D750 buffer only 12 frames.
  • Nikon D700 can shoot in TIFF format.
  • viewfinder magnification Nikon D700 is 0.72X versus 0.70X for Nikon D750. Although, at the same time, the D750 has 100% frame coverage, compared to 95% for the D700.
  • The D700 uses a professional memory card form factor - CF, D750 – SD (SDHC, SDXC). But at the same time, the D750 has two memory card slots.

In all other respects, the Nikon D750 is either better or at the same level as the Nikon D700.

I would also like to dwell on the focus module. Nikon D750 first uses focus module Advanced Multi-CAM 3500FX II, which, at least theoretically, is better than all its predecessors. The operating range of this module is from -3 to +19 EV. At the same time, D4,D4s, D800,D800E, D810, D810a operating range is -2 to +19 EV A good focusing module was severely lacking in cameras Nikon D600, D610 and Nikon Df. On the other hand, it's a pity that Nikon has not yet come up with a really new focusing system and continues to build all its sensors based on the Multi-CAM 3500FX, shown back in 2007.

Working with the D750, I had no complaints about the focusing system. I can't say for sure how much better it is than that of the Nikon D700, but what's no worse is for sure. But when working, it seems that the coverage area of the focus points is slightly reduced compared to the D700.

I was also very pleased that at last “Father Nikon” heard the prayers of his followers and improved the color rendering. Now, an acceptable color in JPEG with the D750 can be obtained immediately, without strong dances with a tambourine. But if you dig into RAW with non-native converters, then everything becomes not so rosy :(. Generally, many people do not like the color in Nikon D750 pictures, especially skin tone (skin color in portraits). Color has its own specifics, which is superimposed on many rumors and myths.

Prices for Nikon D750 in popular stores can look at this link.

Prices for modern Nikon cameras in popular stores can look at this link.

In comments Can I ask you a question on the topic and you will answer, and you can also express your opinion or describe your experience. Many little things for a photo can be found on AliExpress.

You can download RAW source files at this link (71 files in .'NEF 'format, 2 GB) + at this link (40 file in .'NEF 'format, 1 GB). All photos were shot with Nikon D750. All photos in this gallery are on-camera JPEG without processing. Then I'll add more examples.

When working with the camera, which I visited in the review, I did not find problems with glare, which are a kind of failure in the Nikon D750. But still it’s very disappointing that after the unsuccessful Nikon D600 the company again launched a raw product on the market, fortunately, if there is such a drawback in the D750, then it can be eliminated free of charge (proof link).

The bottom line:

Nikon D750 turned out to be a very nice camera, almost completely balanced camera, which was very important after a long absence of replacement for the D700. I can't say the D750 is a complete replacement for the Nikon D700, but the D750 itself is a very attractive camera.

If don't know which camera and lens to choose, then my article will help with this - Which Nikon amateur DSLR camera and lens to choose?

Why is the camera that hits professional competitors in terms of sensor quality suddenly AMAZING?))))))))))

  • KalekseyG

“Everything is very cool, but all this 'beauty' is housed in a case with amateur controls”
You take the same code song after D200 into the hands of the D5200!

  • Pope

Amateur organs are left for amateurs thereby retaining versatility. So that any person can take pictures normally. And there are still no professional and amateur cameras, this is marketing fiction for pricing. There is crop, full frame, medium format, large format. A camera 10 years ago can do today's “professionals” at the same level. The author does not chase after "professionals" they are not there. There are different gadgets, ergonomics and functionality. For example sony a7 is a "professional" camera with a housing not protected from moisture. So such pies

  • Vladimir

I have always been pleased with the objectivity of your reviews, but this time I'm just in shock. I was extremely surprised by your position in relation to the camera segment, just the fact that you classed it as amateur, I completely agree with the company that this is a professional camera, and it's not about marketing. From your words, it can be assumed that Nikon currently produces only 2 prof. DSLRs (D5, D810)? Very strange for such a brand. The fact that the controls have changed, there is a mode dial and even manual ones added, this is not a reason to demolish it as an amateur, it was made especially for the rich who like to show off, but do not know how to shoot (the main thing is to sell more, and this is understandable); The fact that the case is not completely metal is also not a reason for amateur to throw it off, it makes the construction easier and cheaper, there is not just plain plastic added, but durable composite materials, everything for people :), in addition, dust and moisture protection, as a property of prof. cameras present; rotary display! Nikon did the right thing by adding her to prof. a camera, it’s just convenient for reporting, to shoot above the head and from the lower foreshortenings, not to lie belly on the ground, and this in no way can be regarded as rolling into an amateur level; and not everyone needs RAW without compression, they are heavy and take up a lot of space; Protective shutter of the eyepiece, there is millet it is inserted separately, but not so convenient, but cheaper, but 100% frame coverage is a big plus; Externally, unlike prof. D700 and D810, it is more like an amateur, with a segment below, FX D610, but it looks. In fact, this is a relatively inexpensive, lightweight, convenient, quite professional camera, unless you find fault with insignificant details, comparing it with its predecessor. The camera is ideal for a quiet reportage shooting (of course, not a sporting event) To name this camera for its price and functionality, amateur, my tongue will not turn.

    • Arkady Shapoval

The form factor is not professional, 1/4000 is not professional, connectors are not professional. etc. but they position her as a professional, that's the whole conversation. Only this does not make the camera bad, it's just strange that the professional camera was made like this ... one to one like the d610 with revision :)

      • Vladimir

I am also not very pleased that they added some advantages and removed others, why was there a new camera in one line to release important and convenient functionality that was in the previous model, a very strange regression, but again, in my opinion, not very big and critical this is. They themselves wrote about the shutter speed that short ones are not often necessary, you can also get out with a filter, connectors are also not for everyone and are not always needed, but that is, there are other advantages (you can recall ISO 50); The video is good (although this is not the profile of this unit, but a big plus for reporting) There is no ideal universal tool, especially for that kind of money, in fact the camera is perfectly balanced for a certain circle of professionals. Yes, and you can't think of a camera that will be equally good for photographers to shoot sports reports of Formula 1 races or studio shooting, but for a variety of reports, events, weddings - an excellent camera. After all, the main criterion of a professional tool is the result that this technique is capable of in the hands of a professional and its reliability in intensive and merciless use in commercial photography. If the camera complies with these principles, the result obtained from it is of high quality and can be successfully sold, then this is definitely a professional tool, and the rest is the tricks of marketers and stereotypes of people, for example, many professionals shoot with optics that do not belong to the line of top lenses, and with they get excellent results. After all, not all professional photography professionals have the money to buy the D810.

100% to the point! Why are people still waiting for the REPLACEMENT of the 1? What should it be? What should be the difference? What do we want to see new? A new matrix with a new processor, with a round JVI? And so God forbid humiliate the pro owners with the presence of suspicious amateur modes U2, U800. She has been with the D750 for a long time, hasn't she? The DXNUMX does not have to be someone's continuation, just a new camera, completely different, with a gorgeous working ISO, convenient controls, with a very tenacious autofocus, with modern buns. What else is needed? I broke a shovel at the dacha, bought a new one. Well, nichrome is not a continuation of my old shovel, that's some kind of grief. It's just another new shovel, with some kind of handle on the handle, it's not like that ... ..

          • lynx

because seven hundred was an uncompromising workhorse with professional management and ergonomics, which even after a good 10 years makes it amazing to work with her.
and 750 - an attempt by marketers to eat a cherry and not choke on a bone, a strong compromise, albeit with new buns, but with no less new and not entirely pleasant glitches.
            ……
it is clear that there will be no replacement for 700tke, legends do not repeat.

            • Andrei

that's all, no seven hundred ... drink tea ....

              • lynx

                what a horror!

            • Alexander

Oh, I beg you, UNCOMPROMISE! For all the merits of seven hundred, it still has a lot of flaws, which were then not paid attention to, because it was the only available FX camera for sane money. It is now Nikon has set up a dozen full frames for snickering couch photo gurus, whom the hell will please what you need.

              • lynx

Well, and what were the shortcomings of the d700 at the time of release?

              • Alexander

Why do you need this? If you have not worked with either the D700 or the D750, discussing their strengths and weaknesses is the same as telling boxing on the radio. It’s better to quickly go through all the branches, suddenly some girl needs advice, play as an adult photographer with some water on the shelf (there’s no time to take pictures, you have to keep up with the flood everywhere), mock, take it easy;))

              • Lynx

In short, you have no arguments))

              • Alexander

For the gifted, Arkady listed arguments in the D700 branch. Do you need to duplicate?

          • Arkady Shapoval

look how I changed mark 2 to mark 3, and that to mark 4. With seven hundred wrong.

  • Brownie

I agree, the 750 was an excellent camera at one time, but why are we waiting for the “return of the legend” in the person of the D200? Did someone promise us this? It seems to me that it is a logical continuation of the seven hundred, this is eight hundred. As a continuation of the D300 became the DXNUMX.

  • Brownie

As for the “professional management and ergonomics of management”, I now like the D750 more than the XNUMX.

    • lynx

        • lynx

          and this is much better!

          • Alexander

Create a new branch, open a dispute, a mare or a cat, play a specialist, show your significance. I have no time, a lot of work.

            • Lynx

              Nothing, I'm cooler than you.
              Definitely!

              • Alexander

Duc, who would argue, one lynx for the whole zoo…. cool!

              • Oleg

            • Lynx

              Ek, you are self-critical! )))

      • Igors

Good day everyone. I turn to ff. There are d3200 and 300s. The choice is painful…. D800, d750. Or to spit on everything and take d700. I tested the d700. The picture is power. Tall iso touches. Honestly - after 300s 750 I don't want to take it in my hands…. Better than 810? 3-4 times a year is a sport, but this is in the summer and the 300s will pull out for now…. Trouble ...

        • 123

If you don’t know why you need a FF range camera, then take any.
High ISOs on the D700 just do not touch, for about 5 years already or more.
Matrix with D3 / D700 is morally obsolete. After ISO2000, the picture fades; on ISO2500, the picture is already gone. The D700 is worse, the D3 will be a bit better. On D3s, the picture is better, because the matrix is more modern. D3s and D700 were on hand.
The matrix with D750 is much more interesting than the matrix with D3X.
If you don't see the difference between the D800 / D810 and the D750, as well as the D700, then ... probably a ff camera is not really needed.

        • Alexey

          D 750, or stay on 300s.

        • Andrei

I just hear the creak of the sofa under the "expert" ... take it, do not disdain. 750 has the quietest matrix.

  • Andrei

The very fact that the dispute over the 750 has not subsided to this day is a confirmation that this camera did not leave many indifferent and that Nikon's marketers are burning! confirmation of this is d500. there is probably everything that some would like to see in 750, BUT ... bummer ... DX ... this is some kind of trolling! when she visits Arkady's review (or someone else will do it for him and before him), then all the heat of the discussion will spread there under the sauce “everything is super, but that's where the full frame is ?!” and the wheel is in place and many other nice features ... but without a full frame ... GIVE A REVIEW ON D500! Hurray, comrades! :))

    • Lynx

Five hundred awesome in its crop form.
      Ff is d5

      • Andrei

yeah ... on the helika motor from the brand, awesome !!!

  • Andrei

trolling of marketers reminds an old Jewish anecdote - a Jew at a urologist: - I have one lower, the other higher ... The doctor is fine with him. He - I know, but still a mess!
to squeeze ff into 500 and it would be all happiness! :)

    • zengarden

And what for the reporting camera FF? to be heavier, slower and more expensive? or just the size of the pinus increases?

      • Andrei

        ask the creators of d5

      • Brownie

How the fx? I still use D3s for reporting, very much why!

      • Alexey

It is for reporting ff preferable, because you can’t put out the light and the best quality at high standards important.

  • Brownie

Here's an old reference for those in doubt - a UK wedding photographer bought the newly released D750, compares it directly to the D3s and to the Mark 3. Maybe someone might need some thought-provoking information from a practitioner, not from the couch gurus at the Penza Zoo. https://petapixel.com/2014/10/14/nikon-d750-review-nikon-youve-created-monster/

  • Vova

Dear experts, I decided to buy a D750 (while I am collecting "grannies") and began to study the instructions. I read that the camera has two programmable buttons - Fn and Pv. And recently in one of the comments to the camera I read: I reassigned the video recording button in foto mode to change the ISO parameters. I, probably, did not understand something? (And there is no camera yet). Explain, please, how it is? If this operation is possible, why is the instruction silent? And the word-reassigned? It turns out-reprogrammed? Sorry, I don’t get it. Help, who knows! Thanks!

  • aleks

Reassign and this is the same as reprogramming only there is one minus is when you switch and the screen turns on and shines in the eye

    • Vova

I understand you, thank you. So it turns out this button (enable video recording), along with Fn and Pv can be reprogrammed. I wonder why the instruction is silent? And tell me, can it be reconfigured only to change ISO settings, or can it be changed to something else too? Thanks!

      • anonym

the instruction is not silent - the custom options menu f9 - the appointment of the movie button. it can still be programmed on BB, select FF or crop, or turn it off altogether (printed version in Ukrainian, p. 366)

      • Andrei

the instruction is not silent - user menu parameters - tab f9.

    • Andrei

the screen turns on ... but does not shine in the eye ... a convenient feature. much more convenient than a super-duper wheel on d700

  • Maksim

    Guys, good day to all!
After reading the entire chain of comments and seeing the final purchase, for myself I still did not understand what I should spend a very substantial amount for today. D750 or D810?
Currently, I have not even switched to the status of “amateur” (judging by the self-criticism of my own photos), I figured out the technical characteristics, in view of my engineering education, there were no difficulties. Then there were serious nuances and the practice of “applying” those characteristics (others like it, but I want more):
I have: Nikon d90 Kit 18-105VR and fifty dollars for a 50mm screwdriver (but it’s kind of shitty with me, one of the cheapest).
Purpose: quality photos with 500px.com as ext. income.
At the moment, I came to the thought of replacing it with:
    1. Nikkor AF-S 24-70 mm F / 2.8E ED VR - as a universal with the subsequent expansion of the line, while I understand that the lens is not 5 years old, but more;
    2. Extreme Pro SDXC UHS Class 1 95MB / s - 2 pcs .;
    3. And I stopped at d750, BUT (!!!) the more I read, the more I doubt between 750 and 810. The more I came across an article that 810 stopped production and they were already preparing 50MP and 80MP cameras.
Can someone clearly say whether or not to save for 810 or be able to buy 750 right away? ... I plan to shoot events, street photos, portraits, travel. I don’t look towards weddings, I’m not that person ... not by the nature of my wedding)))

    • anonym

The bundle 810 + 24-70VR weighs a little more than 2 kg, and this is not counting bags, flashes, additional lenses and other little things! Do you need it as an amateur? It will turn out a very cool camera, pathetically taking up a place in the sideboard.

    • Andrei

I see you need a camera to grow. as for me, 750 is enough with the head. according to your needs 810 is not needed. 810 is sharpened for unhurried studio shooting (mainly), IMHO, with the possibility of extraordinary cropping due to megapixels. if you exaggerate - if you take 750 - you do not reach the megapixels, if you take 810 - you lose the rate of fire ... so think.

    • anonym

      I would take the D810 + 85 / 1.8G (or 105 / 1.4E) native. The highest quality. But for lack of money I’m renting on D610 + 85 / 1.8G. Do not be afraid of telephoto lenses.

      • Andrei

Have you ever filmed a children's matinee fix? it is still a pleasure ... the long-focus fix is specific for its tasks. zoom universal. 24/120 4, a bit dark, 24-70 2,8 zoom is not enough :)) you will not please! :)

    • SashOK

Wait for the 80 MP camera to come out with any Nikon D900.
Then the quality of your photos will be not just like from some 500px.com, but 10500 times cooler than that of Ken Rockwell himself!
Why do you need this trash some kind of rogue D810 or even worse D750 ...

    • Andrei

      810 - studio and subject, 750 reportage

  • Sergei

Thank you, Arkady, for an interesting, voluminous and fairly scientific, but understandable site. I read constantly. I like the comments very much. Rzhu over the dialogues of the Lynx with the blondes ..., over the jokes over him, etc. Changed d3100 to d750. In addition to fifty kopecks I took 85. 1.8. I mainly shoot portraits of family members and friends. The quality was already at the level, it became just magical. But I feel I need a fast shirik, like 35. 1.8. In short, happy with the purchase. And stop spreading rot Lynx, he writes cool ...

  • Alexander

    I have a d750 and I'm Happy!

    • Sergei

I understand your feelings) What lenses do you use? I just can't decide whether to keep the high-aperture fixes or buy a legend ... (24-70. 2.8). At home I shoot portraits, but sometimes I also need a reporter.

      • Alexey

For me, fixes are better, in 24-70 there is nothing particularly legendary, just with it is more convenient than with fixes. So decide.

        • Sergei

Thank you, Alex, for the answer. In principle, I reason. I think I'll add zoom to the fixes. I am seriously considering Nikon 28-70 f / 2.8 d. Many praise, including Arkady, but hard to find ideally.

          • Alexey

Not worth the gratitude, glad to help, the few that I know. And yes, and fixes are needed and zoom. But I took the first good zoom 80-200, I somehow like it more authentically.

    • anonym

I do not have d750 and I am happy!

“For those who do not like to read a lot: Nikon D750 was announced on 11.09.2014/XNUMX/XNUMX and so far is the best amateur CZK from Nikon. That's all :)"
Is this an amateur level camera?

    • Onotole

If we divide strictly into professional and amateur, without any "semi-professional", "advanced amateur" - then definitely amateur.
The fact that the locals bombed through one D750 is solely from our (in a broad sense) poverty.

      • Peter Sh.

Come on, where does poverty come from?
I saw at international competitions with prof. photographers are very different models and Nikon and Kenon.
        Including D610 and B750.
I’m shooting with them there, I have the opportunity to take a closer look.

Yes, about taking a closer look. If you do not look close and read the markings of the camera model, then no one will know what you are shooting at all. Unless the color of the lens brand can be determined.

      • Maugli

        +1

    • Andrei

skeptics are soared by the fact that the wheel is not professional…. For me personally - (I didn't bomb) ALL functions on the wheel are reprogrammed to buttons for fingers on the RIGHT side of the camera on the top panel and there is no need for the urgency of switching parameters on the wheel, which could not be done at a normal pace for 750 - this time; from practice - when shooting at a pace, imagine a robot with a wheel with a 70-200 glass installed on the camera, imagine? this trunk will pull the camera down ... the left hand, as a rule, supports the glass from below - the weight is not small - that's two. the wheel hovers those who are nostalgic for the seven hundred ... and that's three. And yet, such a wheel is on 810. This camera is clearly not reportage - the speed of the series is not the same, there are a lot of pixels, which is good when printing large formats and cropping, but this is a subject and a studio, basically ... and now it does not converge - shooting in the studio does not och urgent (this is not a reportage) and where is the need for speed for robots with parameters on a wheel? A certain gentleman named Michael Freeman (not to be confused with Morgan Freeman :)) expresses the opinion that the green zone is simply necessary when you are afraid to miss a moment, a valuable shot.

Hello! I recently switched to Nikon d750 after d7000. I squeezed my crop to the maximum. I was struck, of course, by the working ISO - this is probably the first impression of anyone who switches to full frame. But I had several problems, or rather, questions: the camera thinks for a VERY long time when displaying a picture on the screen immediately after taking a picture! I have 2 cards of 60 GB, super fast. I don’t know what it’s connected with, I’ll take it to the service to find out. Another annoying refusal to focus in seemingly not the worst conditions, when my crop was calmly focusing (although it did not always hit, of course). The focus on the d750 is very accurate, it almost always gets to where it needs to be, maybe that's why it refuses to focus at the slightest misunderstanding of the light or details?

I agree in terms of skin tone - because of the larger matrix, it seems to me that with the parameters that are customary on the crop, I get overexposure on the full frame, although everything is ok in the histogram. Maybe this is normal and you have to get used to it) and Skin color is kind of yellowish, in my opinion, but of course everything is aligned in the editors.

As for the editors, it turned out that all my presets, and even the VSCO filters, are superimposed on raves from a full frame in a completely different way! Strong contrast and brighter colors, and this is not always what I need) has anyone encountered this? because of this, the speed of my processing dropped 2 times, and if we consider that the ras are heavier than the cropped ones, then the question of replacing the computer is urgent, because it no longer pulls, lightrum wildly slows down))))

Can someone share their experiences on these issues? Thank you very much in advance!

I would also like to know advice about an inexpensive, but good zoom for my money) I will not pull 24-70, now the prices are just PPC, I regret that I did not get all the equipment before changing the course)))

    I choose between
    Nikon 24-85mm f / 3.5-4.5G ED-IF AF-S Zoom-Nikkor
or a Nikon 24-120mm f / 4G ED VR AF-S Nikkor lens, which is more expensive, but maybe it makes sense to dig up and take it better?

I have 2 fixes, 50mm and 24mm, (I bought it for a crop “for growth”, it was a little more convenient, 75 and 36, now I found out that on a full frame 50mm still gives distortion! And for slender legs of girls this is very important and noticeable) )) And with these fixes I shoot my entire report :-), running around the hall and juggling with lenses))) I am a family and wedding photographer, so my shooting is dynamic) I also shoot matinees, banquets, corporate parties, weddings, of course) so I need your help)))

Maybe you know good third-party analogues? But having got acquainted with different zooms in the range of 24-120 on this site, I realized that you can’t imagine better than native lenses)
I will be grateful for any advice!
    Thank you!

    • Andrei

Nikon 24-120mm f / 4G ED VR AF-S Nikkor is a great lens, fact. after buying Nikon 24-70mm f / 2,8E ED VR AF-S Nikkor sold fixes 50 and 85, but left 24-120. for shooting children and dynamic scenes, that's it!

    • Tatoo

Why do you need such dark lenses! ?? Buy a Tamron 28-75 F2 / 8 for a free price.
      You can certainly 24-70 tamron, but it's more expensive ... ..Sigma 70-200 f2 \ 8 - fire!

  • anonym

Well, it really touches 0,70 - 0,072 that you will see 2 percent by eye - laughter and sin.
    1/4000 at 50 ISO = 1/2000 at 200 ISO.

  • Paulus_Bassus

Arkady, you describe photographic equipment in such detail that your site has become my “reference book”. Tell me, please, when buying, does it make sense to overpay a third of the price for a “white” camera, or can you safely buy a “gray” one? In Moscow now the so-called. Eurotest ("gray") D750 Body costs 95000 rubles, and Rostestovsky (officially imported) - 128000 rubles. (both prices are from the same store). It is clear that the officially imported device has a Nikon guarantee and that in case of a breakdown of the “gray” one, contacting the officials is pointless.
It is planned to take the camera not for earning, but for yourself, and the difference is more than 30000 rubles. quite substantial.

    • Arkady Shapoval

Usually, there is no difference in functionality, only in a guarantee, if you do not bombard them with weddings, it will last a very long time.

      • Paulus_Bassus

        Thanks, Arkady.

  • Nikita

Does this model have brakes during the lifeview magnifier?

  • Elena

Good day!! Friends, I need advice)) I want to go from crop to full frame. There are d7100 + lenses:
    - 50 1.8
    - 17-35mm f / 2.8D (took with the prospect of working on FF)
    - 80-200mm f / 2.8D
I am considering a model d750. Approve ?! )) or are there any nuances?
Thanks in advance to all those who care))

    • Alexander

Selling the D7100 will soon regret it. What are you photographing? Under what conditions? Why do you need to switch to “full frame”? What doesn't suit you? There is extra money, so buy….

    • Sergei

Of course, move on. Maybe you won’t feel the difference right away, but full, there is full. Your glasses are good, but I think you will gradually want to improve. I took sigma 35 1.4 art, nikon 50 1.4 and determined from 70-200, nikon or sigma. Both are good. The price is only different.

  • Alexander

Hello. Here's a non-standard question. Tell me, I have an MTO 1000 Lens, and Nikon D750 will appear soon. Will I be able to combine these two creations and get a good effect! And the pleasure of the photo taken with them ... I read somewhere that the adapter must be installed with an additional lens to get infinity ...

    • Michael

      For ITO is not necessary

  • Pokekmon

Comrades, now I choose between the used D800 and the new D750. Therefore, I ask for your opinion on these cameras.
If anyone had experience working immediately with these two cameras (and with the D3X), I will be glad to listen to what I liked and did not like in these cameras.
The camera will be used by me for leisurely street and landscape photography (for example, on vacation). Nikkor 35 / 2D will be used with any of these cameras, and probably Nikkor 28-105 / 3.5-4.5 D, and also, I think I will buy Sigma 24-70 / 2.8. The camera will be used in any weather - snow / rain / frost. I love evening and night walks, so at night too.
Under any of the cameras I will definitely buy a bat.unit, because such a grip is more convenient for me.
PS> I will also consider buying a well-maintained used D3X, which rarely slip on Avito.

    • Vadim

I bought a used d 800, having switched from Canon 6d / 5dmk 2. I was dissuaded from this purchase, motivating the poor operation of the camera with high noises, large files, braked autofocus ... in general, according to their words, there is some kind of horror and not a camera) but, at one point I freaked out because of a large number of defects from 6d, at the crucial moment the autofocus missed and in short I could not stand it and put up all my stuff for sale. I turned up to buy a d800 in very good condition, from the first minutes I fell in love with the camera. The huge dynamic range is really cool after the Canon, I like the color, the control, for me it's so excellent autofocus ... There are many advantages. The choice between 750 and 800 I think you need to really present your requests. In your case, you can get by with the 750th, but it is simpler and will completely cover your needs. Happy shots!)

      • Pokekmon

        Vadim, thank you!

      • Boris

I support the choice of Vadim! I didn’t use the d750, I only looked at the ravas, but after the d7100 I finally saw a real, beautiful color (including skinton) on the d800e. I also think that at the same price for 750s and 800s it is better to take the d800, especially if you want more pixels :)) But we need new optics, for example, 1.8G fixes
D3x is also probably a “tasty” camera, I haven't tried it myself, but there are many pictures from it on the site photozone.de and the color there is also beautiful

  • Evgesha

Hello. My d700 broke after 6 years of filming. Some kind of lever broke. I loved him so much, but they no longer let him out. Resentment.
I took the d750, but it will come from Moscow in a week. I went to the store to squeeze the display case d750. As soon as I picked it up, I immediately realized that it was lighter than the d 700. For me, this is not a plus, since I got used to the kilogram d6 for 700 years. Outwardly, as if from thin plastic, like a toy, is also not a plus. I think I’ll never ever put forward a screen, everything is somehow not safe. Turn it on did not work, the battery was dead.
Now the question is. Will tamron 24-70 fit on it?

    • Alexey

      Yes.

    • Pokekmon

In my opinion, the grip and how the carcass lies in the hand of the D750 is better.
It was possible to hold the D750 in my hands and compare it with my past D700

  • Irina

Hello! I have two cameras: D5100 and D750. Comparing them, I took pictures at the same ISO and was surprised to see that the photo with the D5100 is lighter! Shouldn't a large matrix be more photosensitive?

    • Jury

fiction, this is a discovery, a full frame, everything on the D5100! :) And what happened with shutter speed and aperture? What lenses were on the cameras? And dlightning, is it turned on or not? Is the built-in flash open or closed? Or does exposure only ISO affect?
