The Micro Nikkor 40 / 2.8G began production in 2011, all lenses are made in China. The assembly is of high quality, the lens weighs 235 grams and has a metal mount. The focusing ring is rubberized. The lens itself is small, comparable in size to the stock zoom Nikon DX AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm 1: 3.5-5.6G ED SWM Aspherical... The standard diameter of the front filter is 52 mm. The optical design of the lens does not include any special elements (the diagram can be found in the section 'Optical design for all Nikon DX lenses').

Nikon DX AF-S Micro Nikkor 40mm 1: 2.8G SWM Lens Marks Unfortunately there is no IPIG scale.

Micro Nikkor 40 / 2.8G refers to lenses'AF S'type (with built-in focus motor), and therefore will automatically focus on any Nikon DSLR camera :). During focusing, the lens trunk lengthens noticeably, but does not rotate. Micro Nikkor 40 / 2.8G focuses quite quietly thanks to 'SWM'-motor (Silent Wbird Motor is a quiet wave motor).

During focusing, you can notice that not only the lens barrel extends forward, but also the front lens, deeply set into the lens body, using an additional section of the trunk (see photo near the end of the review). But the rear lens always remains stationary.

The lens uses CRC (Close Range Correction) technology - a focusing system with correction at close focusing distances (i.e., a floating focusing system). CRC allows you to get good image quality at any focusing distance.

The lens has a 'Full / ∞-0.2m' focusing distance limiter. At the '∞-0.2m' position, the focusing speed is fast enough, similar to the lens Nikon Nikkor AF-S 35mm 1: 1.8G DX Aspherical... In the 'Full' position it takes a lot of time to focus from infinity to MDF and back.

If you focus using the focusing ring manually, the focus limiter does not work, in any of its positions the range from infinity to MDF equal to 16.3 cm is always available. When autofocusing at the limiter position '∞-0.2m', you can focus only from infinity to 20 see I find it very convenient to always have a full range of focusing distances when focusing manually :)

Also, on the lens housing you can find focus switch 'M / A - M'... In the 'M / A' position, autofocus operates with constant manual focus priority. The 'M / A' mode is very convenient and useful - for manual override, you do not need to additionally switch the lens to the 'M' mode.

The focus ring rotates approximately 160 degrees when active. The lens has a focusing distance scale - in a glass window, in meters and in feet, it is combined with a scale for macro photography from 1:10 to 1: 1.

Nikon DX AF-S Micro Nikkor 40mm 1: 2.8G SWM

Nikon DX AF-S Micro Nikkor 40mm 1: 2.8G SWM rear view

When working with a lens, there is one small nuance to consider. Despite the fact that the minimum focusing distance is 16.3 cm, this number shows the distance from the subject to the camera sensor (i.e. to the focal plane), and the focusing distance from the subject to the front lens is only 3-4 cm. This means that the front lens, when shooting macro at 1: 1 scale, will almost touch the subject. For many photographic tasks, this 'closeness of relationship' is highly undesirable, for example, you can easily scare away insects being filmed.

But this is not so bad. In macro photography, the built-in flash is useless, because the lens completely blocks its pulse. Yes, and when using the camera installed external flash the situation is not changing for the better. These problems are further exacerbated when using a hood - even with additional, external light sources, you can easily get a shadow from it in the pictures.

In my personal opinion, for macro photography it is much more convenient to use longer telephoto macro lenses, for example, Nikon DX AF-S Micro Nikkor 85mm 1: 3.5G ED VR SWM IF Micro1: 1 or Nikon AF Micro Nikkor 105mm 1: 2.8D.

EGF lens on Nikon DX cameras is 60 mm, we can say that Micro Nikkor 40 / 2.8G is an analogue of a full-format macro lens Nikon AF Micro Nikkor 60mm 1: 2.8D (and its modifications: Nikon AF-S Micro Nikkor 60mm 1: 2.8GN IF ED и Nikon AF Micro Nikkor 60mm 1: 2.8).

Like most other macro lenses, the Micro Nikkor 40 / 2.8G changes the minimum number F depending on the focusing distance. So aperture F / 2.8 can only be used in the range of ∞-0.4 m. When focusing on MDF, you can shoot with a maximum aperture of F / 4.2. The diaphragm consists of 7 rounded lobes and closes to F / 22 at infinity and to F / 36 on MDF. When focusing, the effect is very noticeable 'Focus breathing'.

Many users of Micro Nikkor 40 / 2.8G cropped cameras liked it as a replacement. Nikon Nikkor AF-S 35mm 1: 1.8G DX Aspherical и Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm 1: 1.8G SWM Aspherical and even with a macro function. Of course, Micro Nikkor 40 / 2.8G can be a kind of 3-in-1: both a 'camera', and a 'portrait' and 'makrik', but nevertheless, it copes with each task much worse than the indicated lenses.

Personally, I think that 35 / 1.8G, for everyday shooting, suits much better, due to the much higher aperture and wider angle of view. For lovers of portrait and artistic 'troubles' 50 / 1.8G (who has a camera with a motor - then 50 / 1.8D) would also be preferable. Perhaps the article will be useful to someone ''On choosing the first prime lens for Nikon DX cameras - 35mm or 50mm. '

Nikon DX AF-S Micro Nikkor 40mm 1: 2.8G SWM

Infinity focus and MDF on the Nikon DX AF-S Micro Nikkor 40mm 1: 2.8G SWM. Lens lenses use Nikon SIC enlightenment.

The lens creates a sharp, contrasty image, with almost zero distortion and slight vignetting (on DX cameras). I have no complaints about image quality, but still I expected much better detail when using such a macro lens.

On full-frame cameras, the lens can be easily used at short focusing distances, while vignetting can be easily corrected in the editor, and sometimes it does not play any role at all in the picture. But when focusing at distances close to infinity, the pictures from the full-frame camera get very strong darkening at the edges of the image, and the pictures are practically useless.

  • Kotov

Yes, a hard lens. I wanted to take it with a staff, but at the last moment changed my mind and took 35 1.8g. I still don't know if I did the right thing. However, I really like 35. The only thing is not clear why at aperture 5.6 there is some kind of breakthrough in sharpness. Especially if you raise the shutter speed to 250 - the image from 5.6 becomes so sharp that you can simply cut yourself. No other aperture offers this sharpness. Even at 11, the image is less sharp. Arkady, how can this be explained and is there such a “magic” diaphragm at the 40-point?

    • Arkady Shapoval

With a very closed aperture, the sharpness drops due to diffraction, at open apertures, due to aberrations. For each camera (depending on the pixel size, AA filter, etc.), as well as for each individual lens, you can determine the F value at which it shows the best result.

      • Oleg

Thank you Arkady enlightened long noticed this fact that each lens has an F value at which it shows the best result, but still tried to find the universal number F for all lenses

        • Arkady Shapoval

There is no such thing for all lenses :). And in general, photography is often an improvisation, with each lens as a unique tool, you need your own approach, it inspires me personally :)

          • Oleg

Yes, yes, my friends have already tortured me with the question? "Why do you need so many lenses?" But yes, the most modest of them has its own unrepeatable handwriting

  • anonym

Hmm, the author clearly did not like the nickname)

        Approx.

Yes, it's not very convenient to shoot insects three centimeters from the front lens)) it's like turning the helios44 and attaching it to the Jupiter37 - the macro is simply unreal, on the crop the fly's eyes occupy half the frame; yes, you can only shoot a dead fly)) but for everything else it will go, only so that the shadow from the camera does not cover the object itself, again.

    • pilotkins

      Sometimes I practice :)

    • Jury

It is not necessary to kill a fly, you can catch it in a jar, and a jar in the freezer for 5-10 minutes (depending on the size of the brain - a joke). I use a little shop honey jar for everyone. I slightly covered the lid, waited, after a while I tried it with tweezers - it ran, closed it still and so on until it stopped moving. As soon as she calms down, go to her playpen and do with her what you want while she warms up. Different insects behave differently. Once the little prick almost ran away into the bedroom: it quickly chops off and quickly comes to its senses. One moth was caught, so that, even after warming up, allowed to do with itself whatever. The praying mantis was tame, for which I planted it on an indoor flower, so my wife almost died of fear. At night he flew over and the cat and the cat chased him. They made a rustle. :-) I release all my experimental subjects after the shooting as a token of gratitude, except for the Prussians. All my life I have been fighting with them, I was not 10 years old, but this year there were several, probably one of the neighbors drove them around and they decided that I was a good uncle. :-) Good luck friends.
P.S. After the freezer, some “models” that freeze longer get nice droplets of moisture, when defrosting, even before our eyes.
And for those with 35 / 1,8, I recommend this kind of thing: NEEWER Digital High Definition 0,45X Super Wide Angle Lens With Macro Japan Optics.

  • Gray-haired

I can firmly state that this lens is an excellent all-round crop. It copes well with the subject (sharpness and RF are ideal for these photo tasks). Long thought about choosing between 35mm and 40mm. About aperture not in favor of this glass ... As a result, the depth of field at 2.8 turned out to be sufficient for portraits and street shots, but it is sharp when open. I didn’t remove macro-mobility, but it was enough for dead flies and calm plants.
Summary - I love contrast and sharpness, especially for an honest cost. You can safely take such a baby on any vacation, hike, fishing, indoor party (almost all guests will fit in) as the only one!

    • Mark

read your comment, you can still recommend this lens for subject filming (komsmetika \ food photo?
      I have a 1,5 DX crop

  • Eugene

Ken Rockwell said this lens is good for everything except macro. Apparently the opinion of Arkady is the same.

  • Sergei

Arkady, your prices are for 18-140, not 40mm

Spring has come in Radozhiva! Very colorful review)))) 0

  • Oleg

Well, of course, no mechanical control of the diaphragm. It’s good that even though the focus ring is not electronic, they do it.

  • Yarkiya

I wonder how this lens will allow the Nikon D7100 matrix?

    • Alexey

It will resolve normally. Listen less to horror stories about “non-resolution”. It is more likely to get just an unsuccessful instance than one that will noticeably “unresolve” the matrix.

As for the lens, I owned one. AF speed is noticeably inferior to 35-ke. However, AF speed for macro lenses is always one of the weaknesses. This glass will not be universal at least for this reason. Aperture ratio is the second item. 35 at 2.2-2.5 is already gaining maximum sharpness, which after 8 only falls due to diffraction, which is a clear advantage. Small MDF in 40s - approx. But what to shoot at such a distance? You can't even highlight it properly. Therefore, precisely as a macro, it is not very clear. 35 does not have such a large MDF to seriously lose in this parameter. Plus sizes.
The main trouble with 35-ok is not so easy to find a good copy. But if a normal one gets caught - 40 is simply not a competitor. Macro is 70mm and up.

      • Yarkiya

Apparently my 35 ka is not very successful. An item with her is no good. There are 105 2.8 vr Af-s micro, but with it the item is not convenient (you need to go further and the flu is very small) and it’s not suitable for everyday life, although for the macro in nature it’s just a piggy delight. The 7100 took recently, consciously, the camera is freaky, but not every lens will be adequate with it. For example, 18-105, not at all for her, 35mm is also not so hot, it is interesting that 50 mm 1,8g is not very. But the 200 f4 old man manual and the Helios 81-n are just great, I am silent about 105 micros, without a compromise tool. So I thought that 40 ka, due to micro, should have satisfied the subject, well, I probably would have suited a staffer for everyday life. The whole question is about the features of the d7100 matrix, because the pixel size on it is very small, if it were ff, then there would be 56mpixel.

        • Oleg

Check the accuracy of focusing your glasses.
50 / 1,8G on my 7100 is very sharp. Of course, the image is softer by 1,8-2,2, but quite high quality. On the covered one - 100% crop looks great, the sharpness is just great.

          • Yarkiya

Do not think, I do not find fault with fifty dollars, it is really quite convenient to use. Fast, tenacious, but sharp only after about 2.8. And as you wish, but I do not see anything special, "such" in his drawing. Helios 81 is sharp already from f2, and of course draws, God forbid everyone, alas, not autofocus. But when I see an interesting thing, I want to frame it so as not to cut the picture later, and often such framing involves shooting from a distance of 2-10 cm or so. That is why I am very interested in this lens.

            • Alexey

I am tormented by vague doubts that it would not hurt to send your camera for alignment :) 35s, indeed, can be caught and unsuccessful, but so that fifty dollars is also “so-so” is hardly a coincidence. My 35, on the same D7100, behaves perfectly right from the open.

              • anonym

I didn’t say that fifty dollars is not sharp. I said that Helios gives a more interesting picture. I just don’t like 35, I don’t know if it’s flat, or maybe I just didn’t find a use for it in my photography :-). I just have a super-duper 105 - ka 2.8 Af-s vr micro, but as I said, it's not very convenient for a subject, you need to either move away or climb higher. And in everyday shooting, 150mm focal length is not the most used thing. AND THIS IS THEREFORE, AND NOT BECAUSE OF THE CAMERA ADJUSTMENT AND ALL MY OTHER LENSES, I actually wanted to know how the lens from this review behaves on the d7100 carcass. Maybe from the readers of this respected blog, there will be an owner of such a lens and such a camera, and at least in a nutshell will share his experience.
Sorry for the large font, this is such a kind of humor (probably not successful).

              • Yarkiya

I forgot to write the name, the automatic machine "anonymous" put it.

              • Alexey

Helios has his own "jokes" - he is not for everybody, but here is the taste and color. At one time I was also looking for the 77th Helios for a long time, I was happy, and then I looked that there was no sharpness or contrast in the open, I spat and sold :) There is a “twisted” bokeh, it looks interesting, but very rarely when appropriate.
Modern G-versions 35 / 1.8, 50 / 1.8, 85 / 1.8 do not have any "highly artistic drawing", which is often talked about, do not "paint with watercolors", like the Minoltovskaya "beer can" 70-210 / 4 and do not still heaps of strange things :) But these are modern sharp immediately from the open glass, which give a wonderful result. Actually, that's why I said that since you only get sharpness on a fifty-ruble note with 2.8, it means that something needs to be adjusted, it shouldn't be that way.
Well, someone is trying to look for “watercolors”, but someone does not bother with such nonsense :) And you yourself understand, if you want to find “something like that”, you will find it in any glass. This is all very subjective :)
I had 40 / 2.8 on the D7000, I sold it before I bought the D7100. Sharp glass without any complaints. Not very fast. Nice bokeh. Well, that's all :) If you have fifty dollars or 35, I don't see the point in it. 35 is more convenient for focusing and sharper by 2.8, fifty is more versatile and does not differ much in focal length, so that it can be changed to 40. And it will be faster. If you want a moderate macro, you should look at 60 / 2.8.

              • Novel

“If you want a moderate macro, you should look at 60 / 2.8.”
So after all, it costs 2 times more.

    • Koba

just on the D7100 this lens shows a very high resolution, its visual sharpness on this device on dxomark is rated at 15, which is a very high score for cropped systems in general ...

  • Ivan

Great review, thank you very much.

  • Yarkiya

Alexey, I understand you. 35 and 50 mm 1.8, I had 5100, and I was happy with them. What is real sharpness I saw at 105 2.8 Af-s vr. And now on 7100, 105 - ka started to play even better, and the fifty-kopeck piece with the 35th one faded for some reason, but not in terms of convenience and speed, but precisely in sharpness (besides, 35mm was initially unsuccessful). So it became interesting to me how the forty will behave with the d7100 matrix.

    • Alexey

That Makrik you corrupted))) Of course, with a macro lens, neither 35 nor 50 nor 85 can be compared in sharpness. But is it really necessary there? I'm not sure.

      • Yarkiya

Let it be! Sharpe less in Photoshop.

  • Sergei

The lens is interesting. The drawing is sometimes too “strict” (too digital, which is otherwise typical for many modern lenses). In cloudy weather, even, I would say “gloomy”, compared to the softness and airiness of Helios 81-H and Jupiter 37A on D5100. But very often the quality of the resulting image exceeds all expectations. I bought it as opposed to 35 and 50 (so as not like everyone else). I am satisfied with the lens.

    • Nastya

I’ve been racking my brains for almost a month with choosing a lens for my first DSLR (I won’t take a whale, I want to fix it), it pulls in macro, I understand that it would be better at least 60, I read a lot .. but I will probably focus on it, because 35 macro does not succeed? And now I read you and the final choice fell on this lens! Sergey, And how does he show himself as a photo of landscapes of a general plan?

      • Sergei

The landscapes are fine too. Everything is very sharp and covetous. Sometimes even unnecessary! But macro, as described above, is difficult to photograph with such a focal length. Insects get scared! You have to come very close. There is nothing you can do about it. The lens has one more plus - it is very light. For girls, that's it!

        • Nastya

:)) yes ... for me, weight also matters a lot, I want not so much insects as plants, dew ... something immovable :) And the portraits seem to be good for him, the bokeh is nice, the colors are really beautiful. Thank you for the answer, you helped me!

      • Koba

take it, the picture from this lens turns out to be very clean, detailed over the entire field of the frame, the angles are simply excellent at all apertures, the focal length is equal to helios, there are almost no distortions and aberrations, the sharpness is excellent, and as a macro it can be perfectly used with dropey ring Chinese flashes. What else do you need for such a reasonable price? In China, it costs about $ 170 ... By the way, its autofocus speed is average, which is very useful for normal shooting, in contrast to the autofocus speed of most telephoto macro lenses ...

An excellent macro is obtained at the 35th, but you still need to add a lens

  • Victor

Guys, help is needed in choosing a high-quality lens for shooting pictures. Until recently, it was generally scanned, the quality came out not bad, but too big a hassle with a large size. I bought the first DSLR d5100, tripod and 35mm fix. The lens is excellent for every day, but when shooting a painting, there are some problems with distortion. Whether this macro lens (or perhaps 60mm 1/2: 8 G) is better for this purpose, share your experience and tips!

  • Alexey

Hello Arkady !!! And on which apertures is it the sharpest?

  • Gregory

Hello! Tell me, what parameters should I set for shutter speed when setting up ISO?

  • Peter

I tried to compare Nikon 40mm f / 2.8 and Nikon 35mm f / 1.8 in the store. Compared with the same aperture value of 2.8. Conclusion: “forty” is sharper than “thirty-five” by about the same 30% as the difference in price. Even if you enlarge the picture to the maximum, the difference is difficult to notice, and this difference exists only in the center of the frame. Both lenses provide pixel-by-pixel sharpness.
As a result, I bought a Nikon 40 f / 2.8. According to the descriptions, he has less geometric distortion. And the sharpness still wants maximum.

  • Peter

I also add, Mir-24N turned out to be sharper than this Nikon (copies from my mini-collection). This conclusion was made after a meticulous study of a photo of a small text, taken from a distance of 2.5 m. It happens!

I bought a Nikon 40 / 2.8 lens a week ago. Very satisfied. Photos are beautiful, clear, even in poor artificial lighting. For a long time I chose between Nikon 40mm f / 2.8 and Nikon 35mm f / 1.8. And still I chose a macro lens, because I somehow do not want to buy an additional expensive macro lens with a large focal length, at a price comparable to the camera itself. The magpie makes it possible to get a pretty decent macro photo and very good photos of her little daughter.

  • Andrei

Cool lens. I have been using it for 7, 8 months on the D5100. Much sharper than the 50 1.8 and 1.4 G versions. A little sharper from 35 1.8 G. The detail is noticeably better than on the above listed lenses. Color reproduction is also better than on the above listed lenses. The colors are juicy. Those who write that it is bad for the subject are deeply mistaken. Beautiful makrik. Recently, I’m not taking pictures from the camera, it’s universal in everything. Macro, portraits, group photos, landscapes.
Anyone who is in the choice between 35, 40 and 50, definitely recommend this lens.

    • anonym

Andrei, this lens is of interest as a portrait, can you show examples? Thinking of buying.

      • Alexey DV

        Look at the full frame 35-70 \ 2,8D ...

      • Lynx

no need to buy it as a portrait. too short for facial and waist portraits.

        • Alexey DV

Listen, Lynx, don't be smart ... A man wants to buy 40 \ 2,8, and he is not short, and you are telling fables about 70 \ 2,8 ... Did you hold it in your hands ??? TOSKA, PANCAKE !!!

          • Yarkiya

As I understand it, Lynx had in mind 40 / 2,8 and you poke and growl, and even offer something that you are not asked about. Where did so many nerves come from?

          • Lynx

Nyasha, don’t slow down, nobody wrote anything to you at all)))

            • anonym

              Maybe Lynx will answer?

            • Alexey DV

Sorry, I really looked in the wrong place, but I offer what I consider to be a real alternative at a real price ...

        • anonym

I understand that it is short. Interested in a budget auto focus macro lens and the ability to shoot portraits without changing the lens. I understand correctly that the lack of distortion makes it possible to shoot portraits at close range without distortion?

think for yourself, decide for yourself.
            ....
IMHO, if you really want makrik and portraiture (despite the price of compromises of this option), then it is better to look towards 105-tki.
            ....
Again, the question is - what are you going to shoot with a makrik and what is portrait?
if the gecko is close-up, then 40 mm will be enough, if this gecko doesn't get away from you. If a portrait of a spider is not enough, you still have to fiddle with furs or a reversing ring and the presence of a macro lens will not help you much, it is cheaper to turn a whale or a Jupiter-26M through macro rings.
If shooting a portrait means shooting “girls in full height or waist-deep, studio and more often at home,” then 35 mm is more than enough, and if a classic half-length or front portrait is needed from 105 and above.

Thanks, on what glass examples are removed?

Thanks, I looked, but there are few portraits there and asked

  • Nikita

Good afternoon! I am interested in such a question - a lens is required for macro photography of the iris of the eye. Can you please tell me which lens to choose? Nikon D7000 camera (I will soon switch to D750 so DX lenses are no longer available). Well, of course, you want cheaper and better quality)

    • Arkady Shapoval

      Nikon 60mm 1: 2.8D Micro

  • Nikita

Thank you very much, Arkady. If it's not difficult for you - can the Dicom N / AF 68 macro ring set replace a macro lens for this purpose?

    • Arkady Shapoval

      In general, no.

  • Denis

I am the proud owner of this glass.
    I like the Nikon 50mm F / 1.8G more, and I like the picture on the F / 2.5 aperture especially.
40mm indoors on D5100 has exposure errors - 1 stop is darker than the photo (objectively, it can be seen even on the histogram). but with a flash for some reason it's ok
but at f / 5.6 aperture with an external flash on the ceiling, the picture at 50mm subjectively seems worse to me than at 40mm. the whale 18-55 VR in this case is inferior in colors, in the lightroom I twisted all the twists, in the best case the whale turns out to be yellowish. but on the street everything and the whale turns out well

  • Andrei.

Great lens. I had 35mm 1.8 and 50mm 1.4 and 1.8G, and yet I chose and left this lens from all. It surpasses all the aforementioned lenses in rarity and detail, gives out colors saturated cool colors + to this, full-fledged 1k1 macro and universal focal. It has been used for 2 years on the Nikon D5100, Nikon D7100 and Nikon D90. The best picture from these 3 is given on the Nikon D5100, on the D7100 a little more detail with a large crop of the frame, but this is not noticeable. Change the desire does not arise. I think this is the best universal fix for crop. I advise.

  • Albina

Good day! I choose, as usual, between it and 35mm 1.8 and 50mm 1.8, I want universal, but it’s important for me to shoot food (beginner pastry chef), I plan to shoot on the nikon d5200. Maybe someone was engaged in such a shooting? I think that the sharpness will be good for this, but I would like to know the experience of use.

    • KalekseyG

MDF for 35 and 50 may not be enough for you - the consistency of praline will not be shown))))))))

      • Denis

and since the aperture still needs to be closed, then the whale 18-55 will do a good job. and a tripod is required

      • Valery A.

I have all three of these lenses. I didn't shoot food, but in my opinion it's not a macro, so any lens will work for you. An example is 35 / 1,8 g, on an open village. Universal, I think, the first two, 50 / 1,8 - a bit narrow, especially in a room, but the most "portrait". Lynx advises everyone to 35 / 1,8 as a regular fix, probably he is right.

        • Valery A.

Yes, here's the food, at 40 / 2,8, but the other two lenses, I think, will also be removed.

    • Dim

          • Dim

            D200 + Nikkor 50 / 1.8D on f1.8 + 2 SB700

      • Albina

        Thank you) Still, I took the Nikon 35mm f / 1.8G AF-S DX + Nikon d5200 body, very satisfied)

  • Max Vikhrov

In defense of the lens. I had both 50mm and 35mm fixes, they are certainly good in their own way, 35ka gave just a gorgeous contrasting picture, but 40mm is special. The DX lens cannot resolve the crop matrix this way. At first I wanted to get rid of it because of the strange focal point, but then I managed to catch the values at which it gives the wildest sharpness. I shoot for myself, left it as a staff - small, convenient, I advise everyone. I don't even know what will replace it for me - it is universal for everything! Recommend!

    • MARK

      Day!

You mentioned about “it was possible to catch the values at which the sharpness it gives the wildest” ... so what are these values and in what conditions .. please share .. my wife and I are racking our heads here

    • anonym

I agree. I really liked the lens at first sight. Pictures are very sharp and juicy, contrast without complaints. Good lens. Pictures from him are remembered and pleasing. (He really doesn’t want to take it off camera.)
